Got a Groupon and off we went! We went on a Monday evening where Happy Hour was still going (ends at 6pm). The buffet was nothing to brag about except they had a great selection of veggies. The lobster bisque was rich but it just didn't compare to some I've had in the past. All we had were beef and lamb. The lamb chops were delicious and the beef flank seemed to be the tastiest. The husband devoured the sausage. Wait staff was great! They didn't seem to rush you and actually gave pointers on how to pace yourself. Loved it! I had reservations for 5--- It was getting crowded as the day progressed. It's great for a family outing! My drink choice was the coconut caipirinha :)

Wow! Excellent experience. The food is delicious, plentiful and high quality. The manager, Amanda, made our time here perfect! We had to wait a few extra minutes past our reservation and she made sure to come to our table and apologize. Loved the salad bar - fresh, large variety and delicious offerings. I especially loved the shrimp. The lobster bisque was creamy and hearty. It was our first visit but we will be back for sure!!

The food was delicious. The meats were all cooked amazingly. And the salad bar spread was top notch. I'm giving this place a 3 stars for 3 reasons. Price, service, and music. It is wayyyy to expensive. $60 a person (after tax+tip) with no drinks is a bit much. Our server was extremely quite, and seemed to linger around our table, making it hard to enjoy a night out with my fiance. However, the meat servers did a great jobs. And they played their music way too loud, having everyone in the restaurant talk over it. I will not be back to Texas de Brazil any time soon. Maybe if they have a bygo free offer, I'd consider going.

Service was good. Food was salty. But I still enjoyed. Try their Brazilian cocktail. Delish!!

If you're coming to Texas de Brazil, you know the drill. Eat light all day. Don't fill up on bread and potatoes. Be choosy. And most of all, eat well. A couple of other tips. Ask your server to bring some horseradish. Try a little bit on your beef. If they're serving lamb (leg or chops), get some mint jelly on it. You will thank me. Skip the beers, maybe have some wine. But the best drink will be soda water. Not Coke. Soda water. It's coke without the syrup. Just bubbles. Very helpful for digestion! Don't skip the salad bar. There are some real winners up there, including the beets, the mozzarella balls and the hearts of palm. Don't give up too soon. If you feel full, wait a little bit. You'll get a second wind. They sometimes have a Groupon posted where you can save $20 for two dinners. With the roast pork, try a bit of the plantains on your fork. Yum! On this particular evening, the service from our waitress was great and the gauchos were by often. Sometimes they checked that we had a red card displayed. Sometimes they did not.

Texas de Brazil gives you everything you want, especially for the carnivore. Everything offered at the buffet is extremely fresh and flavorful. I always grab two plates. I add some rice with some onion ceviche on top, i grab a few pieces of sushi with their jalapeño infused soy sauce, and I grab shrimp ceviche as well. don't forget to go back and grab a plate of lobster bisque soup!!! The soup is amazing and you have to dip your cheese bread in it, you won't regret it!! I sit down and place my second plate so that they can place the meat on a clean plate. My favorite meats are the Garlic Sirloin, Filet, Flank, and Picaña. I'll usually grab a sausage and a bacon wrapped chicken too. The wait staff is always attentive. If a meat you want isn't coming around you can tell your waiter and she will make sure they stop by. As do dessert I always go for the cheesecake, it's definitely enough to share and is super delicious. The Creme Brûlée is also really good!

At our favorite restaurant and starting off with a drink, looking forward to an overload of meat can't wait. Yummy so delicious.

Really enjoyed the meal. Lots of choices of meats to pick from. If you go home hungry it's your own fault. Portions were very good sized. Most meat was served medium rare which normally is too rare but was surprisingly good. They do offer medium well and well done...but my husband who is a die hard medium well kinda guy actually preferred the medium well on almost all cuts. Definitely a great place to celebrate the special occasions that come up even though its a little pricy. While it was really good...we actually preferred the choices at Rodizio

Last night we went with a group to Texas de Brazil. The atmosphere was pleasing. Started at the bar with the bartender from Chicago. She made the house drink which was great. Her service and the waiter Mike is what made our night. The salad bar was limited at best. The meat was salty. I've been to Rodizio and loved it so was hoping for the best but was disappointed.

I want to preface this review with the fact that I'm not a huge red meat eater. I've never went out & ordered a steak at a restaurant, I'm not sure why, I just enjoy chicken & seafood more. Why would I come to a Brazilian steakhouse that has men walking around with meat on skewers? Well I was invited to dine here with a restaurant reviewer, & I thought it would be something different to try. The restaurant is very nice. It's upscale but I don't feel like it's putting on airs about it. All the staff I encountered were very friendly. Our server was nice, but almost robotic in his description of the food & the concept. Speaking of the concept, you sit down & first are able to pick what you'd like from the salad bar. Then once your done you flip a red card over to green, this indicates to the meat men that you're in the market for some meat. I had a "Brazilian Allure" cocktail that had vodka but tasted mainly like cotton candy. It was super sweet. Too sweet for me. It was $12. Salad bar, I would call it more of a cold bar, they had lettuce yes, & dressing but other than that there isn't really anything that I'd put on a salad. They have artisan salami & cheeses, olives & even some hot rice & white wine sautéed mushrooms that were great. Onto the meat. I ate probably more than I should at the salad bar because I could've left then & been fine, but the meat was a calling. I could smell it. It's not hard to notice it because at any given point there isn't about 4-5 guys walking around with the stuff. This isn't a place to bring a vegan or vegetarian because the meat smell is everywhere. Along with the meat, your server brings you mashed potatoes & fried banana to "cleanse your palate" as he told us. I tried the flank steak, garlic beef, Parmesan pork chop, Brazilian sausage & another meat that I cannot remember. Everything was hot and tasted fresh. If I was a red meat lover I would've been in heaven, but I enjoyed trying it all. After you've stuffed yourself with meat, the server brings by a tray of the different cakes & pies they have. The dessert is the only thing you're allowed to take home with you. I sampled the carrot cake and the bananas foster pie. Both were good but I wasn't blown away by them. I suspect they aren't made in house. The price. For salad bar only its 24.95, & if you want the meat & the salad bar it's 44.99. I think it's pricy, granted it's all you can eat, but again, I'm not a huge red meat eater.

I left the previous feedback on their corporate website. I received an automated response saying that should my comments warrant a response, I would hear back from them within 10 days. It's now been well over 10 days and I've heard from no one. Apparently, in their opinion, basically ruining my birthday because they could not get their act together, doesn't deserve a response. Even more reason to RUN, don't walk from this place if you have any inkling of going there. Never, ever again will I darken their door.

Nasty! Salad bar was disappointing, meats you can only taste the seasoning salty salty and garlic or something else I can't identify. Sides were mediocre at best. Didn't want to give anymore money to the place for desserts. Will never go back. Birthday dinner from hell.

My new religion-- churriscarian. My hubby is high priest and this is our church. Its that good. Service has been better at other locations, but I didn't come for the service. I came for the bottom sirloin and the lamb chops.

This chain "meat on a stick" restaurant (I mean no disrespect by that) is located in a nice space adjacent to Centennial Park. Here's the game: for $49.99 a person, you get your soup, salad and sides from a buffet. Then when you're ready, flip your little red circle to green and IT'S ON. Here come the dudes with swords of meat swarming your table. (No really.) The selections I can remember were Parmesan chicken, bacon wrapped chicken, sausages, flank steak (this was my favorite), filet mignon, garlic rubbed sirloin, and some kind of pork. When you are done and have the full-on meat sweats, flip your circle to red and they'll leave you be unless and until you turn it back over. Desserts look great but I couldn't eat another bite. My only two complaints were that 1) some of the tables were pretty close together, and 2), all of the beef entrees were coated in salt, requiring many glasses of water for me. I think my blood pressure was still up this morning from the salt. Anyway, it's a fun place to try.

The food at Texas De Brazil is amazing. Absolutely one of the best chain brazillian steak houses I have been to. The service was impeccable. Our cuts were perfectly cooked and the service was regular and often. They made sure that if we had a favorite cut to bring it and that it was cooked to our liking. Honestly everything from start to finish tasted great. Only thing I would really count as a con is that the acoustics are not that great, so it can be a little loud for a formal dining experience.

I enjoyed a fantastic dinner here last night with friends. The service was excellent and the food was fresh and flavorful. You must try their Spanish cordial they recommend for after dinner. I had it with dessert and the cheesecake is what dreams are made of.

Wow, I'm so glad they finally opened in Nashville! We used to have Bombasha, Brazilian steakhouse, and it closed. Then Rodizio opened and it sucks. Here their meat selection isn't small, meat quality is awesome, it's very tasty, not dry, doesn't taste cheap. I used to drive to Atlanta just to go to Fogo de chao. Now I don't have to anymore. They even have lamb chops, top quality! Now I have everything I love in Nashville. Wine is very good. Our server was able to get the best wine for our meal. Jakub, the server, is a very professional and courteous server. I'm very satisfied with him. Everything is great in this restaurant. Unlike Rodizio, even fried bananas and Brazilian cheese bread are authentic and delicious! I'd say it can compete with Fogo de Chao, for real. I've been to Texas de Brazil in Memphis and Niagara Falls and it wasn't good. Though, it's the same restaurant, but in Nashville, the quality of the meat is high. Service is fast. We had nothing to complain even if we wanted. I'm so happy with this restaurant. They've got their regulars from now on!

By giving my visit to Texas de Brazil 3 stars, I do not mean to imply that it was a bad experience, it just didn't blow my mind. I've eaten at other Texas de Brazil restaurants before, with great relish, and we chose to visit the relatively new one in Nashville because the fiancé wanted to go there as his birthday treat. I highly recommend that you make a reservation, though the night we went it wasn't that crowded and the wait would have been minimal. There is valet parking; the entrance is an inside door in a larger building with overhang. It's upscale in decor and design, but you could wear jeans and feel comfortable. *The Good* -The Gauchos are awesome, and they come frequently. The meat is good (sometimes a little over-salted), and mostly medium rare. I cringed when I heard some folks at a table next us ask for only well-done meats. What a miss! You need to take their recommendation and eat it as-is. -The buffet was pretty extensive for salads, sides, charcuterie, cheeses, and soups like lobster bisque and Brazilian feijoada. Good options. -Great wine list. Brazilian cocktails too, the rest of the drink menu was what you could get anywhere. -Your meal comes with delicious little rolls that are very doughy (kind of like fried dough or potato bread), and side of yummy whipped potatoes and cinnamon-sugar fried bananas. The bananas are great palate cleansers in between meats. *The Just Okay* -We waited at our table for a while (probably 5-7 minutes) before anyone came to take our drink order or greet us. There were people who were seated after us who were served first; we felt a little forgotten! Maybe our table was in one of those weird grey areas for server overlap? Once we had a server, life was better. -Water was refilled quickly, but refills on drinks were more slow. Again, maybe our table was in a weird spot? -The place is jam-packed with tables, meaning there are no natural paths to the buffet or restrooms. You have to kind of crabwalk your way around other diners to get anyplace. They should remove a few tables or rearrange things within their space. -There are only two stalls in the small women's bathroom, without much space for ladies to queue up. You always need more stalls in a women's bathroom. -I signed up for the restaurant e-mails a while back, and I received a $25 off dinner for two coupon. Cool, right? Imagine my embarrassment when I whip it out at the end of the meal and find it's not good on weekends. Read the fine print, Aubrey. Womp womp. Not their fault, but worth mentioning to those who might make the same error. -The shared valet was understaffed for a Saturday night. Again not the restaurant's fault I guess, unless they could pay more to hire an additional driver. Expect to spend $50/pp on food alone, not including drinks and tips. It is also obviously not a great place for vegetarians. Back when we used to frequent churrascarias like this a few years back, we lived in an area that didn't have a lot of great culinary/foodie options, so Texas de Brazil was a special destination. While it is a fun experience, I think I'd rather spend that kind of money at other local Nashville restaurants instead. But if my fiancé wants to come here to celebrate something, I won't say no. I'm sure it will remain consistent and tasty.

Finally it has arrived in Nashville. After moving from Texas this city needed a good Brazilian steakhouse and walah. You just can't go wrong, unlike the other steakhouse they servers do not rush you and pace the meats coming out. The salad bar is quality and fresh, just wish it had a few more items. The head chef is around and recommends what's to have with what meat. Recommended and enjoyed.

Well I generally love Texas De Brazil, and for the 1st time ever, I am giving them 3 stars. I am doing so for a couple of reasons, I am sure they are only going to get better. For the location and restaurant; I love the spot, great access to the park, and near several great music venues for making a night of it, but the restaurant and bar areas, are a bit smaller than most Texas de Brazil's, which take away some of the grandeur of the experience. It felt a little hotel-ish, if you can draw a visual to that. The bar; again is kind of small, but it fits well into the space. The wine vault / cellar is beautiful and well stocked. They also carry local bourbon "Corsairs"; though none of the staff seem to realize what they have. The salad bar is the centerpiece, and well displayed and efficient. The Lobster Bisque was amazing! The Meats; and Gaucho's, were great. The service was a little slow, which was a surprise; since they are still in the training staff phase. This is the reason that I feel the next time I visit, I will be able to give it my usual 5 stars!

I've been to several Texas de Brazil restaurants, and this was by far the worst. The meat was all cooked WELL done and very dry surprisingly. We went on a Monday night, and there were only about 8 other tables there; however, the meat was overcooked, the service was AWFUL, the manager was clueless, and there were only about 4 selections of meat served to us. The salad bar was wonderful as usual. Definitely the worst service I've received at any Texas de Brazil before. It appears they hire way too many college kids to be waiters at this high end restaurant.

If the food and service are anything like the stellar and authentic caipirinha and the charming bartender that crafted it for me last night then this place must be fantastic.

My husband and I make it a point to experience Texas De Brazil once a year. It's safe to say this is our culinary highlight each year. Don't waste your time and money at any other Brazillian steak house. We ve tried them and they just don't compare. Every time we go, the service I receive here is the best ever and that's coming from a 4 year waitstaff veteran. If you've never been , here is a snap shot on what to expect. You start off with their appetizer bar which really could be a whole entree. The appetizer bar is top notice with gourmet and artisan selections you won't find else where. Then when you're ready they start bringing out different cuts of succulent meats and won't stop till you say so. I highly recommend the rib eye and the bacon wrapped filet mignon. You'll also be served their garlic mash potatoes and those decadent fried plantains.... Here are some tips before you arrive: 1) dip your meats into their lobster bisque... 2) eat as many of their cheese puff rolls as possible 3) savor every delicious moment Long live the dynasty of Texas de Brazil

Wow! Wow! Wow! ** take note. 1 glass of Blanton's whiskey is $10!!!! We were a party of 12 and we had the best experience. The meat was coming at us from every direction, by a bunch of smiling young men.. ready, willing and able to appease us. All meat was cooked rare to medium rare and we had such a great variety. Our waitress brought us over a plate of garlic mashed potatoes and a plate of sweet bananas.. She kept our water glasses filled with a smile. Some meat was salty. Most was not. I found the "vat" of chimichurri sauce and kept the table happy with bowls of that. The salad bar was nice... but I didn't go to a meat restaurant for rabbit food. I went for the love of meat.. and that's exactly what I got and fortunately for me, I was with a bunch of Carnivores that were happy as pigs in mud. and the meat guys were happy to come to our table and carve all that meat for us.. We were in heaven. Oh man...... this place is SO MUCH BETTER than Rodizio. If Rodizio Grille wants to stay in business, they had BETTER kick it up a BUNCH of knots and start serving better quality meat. Texas de Brazil is a meat lovers orgasm.. Truly. xoxoxo

This a meathead's wet dream! We came here as a group of six. We got started on the buffet section which consists of many random sides like salads, sushi, rice, cheeses ect. As soon as we sat down we were greeted with an overwhelming amount of meat. Everything from filet, flank steaks, brisket, ribs, Chicken parm, lamb chops, sausages and other goodies. Everything tastes awesome. Everything was cooked medium to medium rare and Not too salty as other Brazilian steak houses I have been too. Service was great as well. Only negative is that the desserts are nothing spectacular. We will definitely return!

Love this place and probably best in Nashville. Crave the steak many times and the groupon is the best deal. If you have Amex Platinum there is a 20$ off 100$ purchase promotion at Texas de. I can't wait to come back here.

Although the food was delicious, my wife and I were in a state of shock when we ordered a glass of wine. We are both in our mid-50s, and chuckled when the young waitress asked for our IDs. I had mine, but my wife didn't bother to bring hers. We were told my wife couldn't be served wine. Thinking this was absurd, I told her to get us the manager. After about 10 minutes the manager finally came and and basically said in a polite but cold manner, "too bad - that's our policy". We really couldn't believe it. We finished our meal, and the only bright light was our new waiter Louis who was very kind and apologetic, and did whatever he could to make the rest of our dinner the best it could be.

Went for dinner last weekend, and overall a very good experience. Excellent salad bar (though that's not typically why one comes to a place like this), fairly good service (a little spotty at times), excellent coffee (always an important barometer!)...and fabulous MEAT. I must say, we did not experience any of the negatives I've read relating to quality or preparation of the various meat choices. They were plentiful, hot, prepared very well, juicy and flavorful. The gauchos kept constantly circulating, so there was no risk of going hungry. The only negative I have is that when we made reservations on OpenTable, there was only 1 time slot available for that evening, which we took. During the entire time we were there (about an hour and a half), half the tables were empty. There seemed to be no shortage of wait staff, so this one is puzzling. Seems management is going to lose business by curtailing the number of tables offered online when there are plainly more physically available.

Stopped in on a Saturday night, no reservations! (Bad idea!) took our name and welcomed us to have a seat at the bar to wait. The bar was obviously packed! No seats available did get drinks from the wonderful bartender Larisa, who's from Chicago like us! Drinks as well as service was excellent! She checked on our reservations for us! we were then seated and experience a dinning experience like no other! Joy-nel was top notched! He knew absolutely everything! We will be back! Manager even stopped at our table to check on us. We felt like royalty!!!

Let me start this with telling you how much I have enjoyed this restaurant in both Memphis and Richmond....but that was several years ago. I was so pleased to learn one had opened in Nashville so we could celebrate my birthday there. The restaurant is beautiful and in a great area of town. BUT...we never had a chance except to have two glasses of Malbec at $10 a glass sitting at the bar. As we arrived, parking was crazy! We could not make the turn off of Elliston/West End as the cars for the valet were backed-up to the light. Parking was for both Kobe Steakhouse and Texas de Brazil. We waited in the line about 5 minutes and saw a spot by the park, deciding a good walk after dinner would be nice. Upon entering, a very young hostess greeted us by saying her reservations were all running late and we would have to wait 20-25 minutes. We could see empty tables and since this was a Sat night, thought somewhat odd. Well, we waited about 15 minutes and another hostess approached us addressing us with the wrong name. She admitted she was confused and went on with her hunt. At that point my husband confessed, "It took three times calling for me to make the reservation. I was hung up on once, there was no answer and I then finally got someone." As we sat at the bar, I noticed a staff member come from the back with a small cardboard box that was torn open. A bartender took three or four small fluted glasses directly out of the box, without washing, placed them on a tray, filled them and a waitress picked them up to serve to a table in the back. OMG! After witnessing this, I approached the hostess. I advised her about what I had just seen and questioned her, "we've been waiting over 30 minutes since our reservation time. When will we be seated?" She only offered they had just opened. I replied, "You guys have been open at this location for at least two months....with good reviews. You have locations in multiple cities." The hostess could offer no suggestion when we would be seated. I noticed that a table of guys behind us, although they were seated when we arrived still had not been served. They did not appear too happy! However, a table that was seated with apologies shortly after we arrived were enjoying their meal. We waited another 20 minutes with no one offering to seat us, merely smiling at us from the hostess station. The crowd at the hostess station was changing but it's unclear if they were being seated or leaving due to the wait. However, my husband indicates a large party was seated after we arrived. Being frustrated my husband made a reservation at another restaurant. Upon leaving a bartender bumped into my husband and he was so grumpy at this point, kept walking out the door. I mentioned to her we had waited over 45 minutes WITH A RESERVATION, looking at that empty table in the corner the entire time. THEN she offered to seat us! I kept walking... at least the chilly walk back to the car served to calm us down after such a frustrating experience! Thank you Texas de Brazil for such a nice birthday surprise! LOL. The moral of the story, make a reservation at another restaurant as a back-up plan... don't wait like we did and have your celebration spoiled! And...find parking on the street....it looked like a nightmare for those trying to leave, as well as park. Better yet....there are so many great restaurants in Nashville...give your business to a local one.....like Tin Angel just down the street!

Went this past weekend and had excellent experience. I like my steaks medium well and my fiance prefers rare. I mentioned it to a gaucho, who took the informstion tp thr kitchen and ensured that steaks cooked to our liking were brought around to our table. That kind of streamlined and personal service is a reason to return all on its own! The meats, chicken and pork selections were all delicous. The salad bar was more than complete, though I was unable to a sample more than one or two things to avoid getting full before the meats came around. For drinks, i highly recommend the Brazilian caipirosca and for dessert, the papaya creme is to die for! We will definitely be back for this fun and delicious dining experience!

Wonderful food and great service. We've been to other Brazilian steak houses and this is one of the best ones. Only bad thing was the valet service. They just stood there after we pulled up and didn't seem to eager to provide service.

I've been going to Texas De Brazil for years and I decided to dine here at the one in Nashville during a trip. The food was excellent as always but the service was some of the worst I've had at a Texas De Brazil restaurant. The waitress came by the table a couple times and forget multiple requests we made. I ended up going up to a manager to fulfill the food requests I had. I will never visit the Texas De Brazil establishment in Nashville ever again. I

Despite having a reservation, we were not seated until 30 minutes past our reservation time. Our server only got around to getting drink orders for half the table. He only asked half the table if they wanted dessert and skipped a bunch of people. Then when we asked for the bill, it was over an hour between requesting the bill and getting the credit card back so we could leave. After the 30 minutes we spent waiting to be seated, we stayed in our seats for 3 hours before we could leave. Drinks were good. Food was decent but not worth $45pp for dinner unless you really take advantage of all-you-can-eat. The top sirloin was good but not all the other dishes were as good.

Great restaurant, but I can't give it 5 stars due to the limited selection of meats and salad bar. We only saw about 6 come around in a 90 minute period. The house special seems to constantly go around. Also the bar is OK. It has stuff that I don't see around which is cool, but alot of it isn't necessary cause it only tastes good to a few people. I took a chance on most of it, even the stuff that no one touched and liked about 30 percent of it. Unfortunately, to me, they are in direct competition with Rodizio, and in my opinion, Rodizio has a much better selection. I get that TDB is a five star and Rodizio is 4, but I'll take a bigger selection of 4 star than a sparce and chancy selection of 5. Our server, Isac (if I spelled it right) was great, but we did not like the way that his peers addressed him, in a dismissive kind of way and the only thing we could see that he did is have a medical disability. Based off of that I really don't want to go back there. I literally watched a guy hold out his hand and not look, like he was too good, and hold his hand out and wait for Isac to give him the water pitcher, and when Isac walked away he looked as if he was given something below him that required inspection. On multiple occasions I saw the other waitstaff walk away from our server Isac while he was in mid sentence. Someone else came back to reaffirm our request for a different meat after we told Isac and he said he would get it for us. The guy didn't have a problem speaking, serving, or remembering what we wanted. He was attentive to our table and was able to explain the complete menu. I don't expect anything special for the guy, but the level of disrespect perceived by us that we could only figure was based off of his handicap was disgusting.

I have been to all three Brazilian Steakhouses in Nashville, and this one exceeded my expectations out of all of them. The friendliness of the service staff is top notch. However I have to give a bigger shout out to Megan the hostess. She is by far my favorite. She had me laughing, was personable, and over all a pleasure to talk with. If more people in this world had her personality the world would be a better place. She put a smile on my face for my birthday. I will be back because of her!!

What a fantastic establishment! The environment is gorgeous, and the staff is spectacular. I recently brought a party of 36 to this restaurant, and we couldn't have been happier with the service or food. From start to finish, everything was stellar -- this is by far the best Brazilian steakhouse I've ever visited. If you're looking for a place to entertain a group of friends, family members, or coworkers, call ahead and ask for Amanda Umholtz to help make your arrangements -- she's the greatest!

Delish!!

  • Caity S.
