Sub Depot. Sounds pretty boring right? Well, don't let the exterior fool you(not that the interior is something to write home about). This place is happening every day for lunch. Every time I go there is a line, and sometimes the line goes out the door! The line probably has something to do with their wide variety of delicious food. It's not just subs, people! Don't get me wrong, they have a nice array of different subs(and you can build your own as well), but they also have soups, salads, french bread pizzas, and even some tasty sweets. Everything that I have tried has been pretty good. I think it beats any of the sub chains in the area hands down. Might I also mention that they have free Wi-Fi. This seems like a no-brainer to me, yet there are not that many local businesses jumping on the free Wi-Fi train. In conclusion: If you need a sub fix, then try just about anything on the menu. Speaking of menu, the one they have above the counter is kind of large, overwhelming, and hard to read. You may want to grab one of their to-go menus when trying to decide what you want. Support your local sub shop!

This is one of my favorite sub places. They have an extensive selection of delicious sandwiches, and I also love the potato salad sides you can get instead of the stereotypical bag of chips. Although everything I've tried on the menu is delicious, the food is just a hair shy of a 5 star rating. I do wish they were open a little later but they have extended their hours since I originally started eating there. As others mentioned, the inside decorations are another plus with the skyline pictures of Nashville and the artwork of other cities.

Great food!! I only had the destroyer and it rocked. That have a ton of different subs and if you don't like any build your own! Like another review said don't let the location or outside fool you. I travel alot and love all the maps inside, just some neat stuff. Food is very fairly priced and you won't walk out hungry! A+ for this place can't wait till I'm back in Nashville for another sub

The subs are very good. I would say they are above average and worth trying. However, I've been there twice and I will never return. I had the same cashier both times and she is very rude and sarcastic. I feel like I was bullied each time. From now on, I will avoid this place.

this place has a lot of great sounding sandwiches, interesting sides, 3 kinds of iced tea, awesome decor of maps and cool drawings of cities

This place makes a solid sub. You definitely feel like the bread you're eating in the sandwiches here is homemade (not like the frozen stuff competitors use). It just sort of delicately collapses in a bite--soft and crispy from toasting. Excellent bread. There are so many options and the staff are extremely helpful in the process of ordering. The toppings were good, and it all just really came together in a great sandwich. Beware, the interior looks dated. Also, the lunch rush was a little hectic (but surprising quick considering). They do have fountain drinks--so free refills!

This sub sandwich shop is a regular stop for my co-workers and I each week. Typically pretty good sub sandwiches and salads, however the last 2 times I have been, the sandwiches and wraps have been very skimpy and noticeably smaller portion. I ordered the California Veggie wrap which says extra tomato and avocado, I got a slather of avocado and 2 thin slices of tomato. If the sandwiches are getting smaller, so does the price. I paid $10.25 for basically a "condiment sandwich" and a tea. With a new Panera Bread across the street with artisan food for the same if not cheaper price, something needs to be addressed or we will not be returning.

Wow! I am pleasantly surprised by this place! I am in town for work and staying across the street. The yelp reviews were great so I thought I'd give it a try - glad I did! The sub is huge and very fresh. There are so many sandwich options, salads, etc. Very clean inside and the staff was very nice. Too bad I couldn't finish it all... The sandwich is big enough for two people!!

My favorite sub place ever!!! I get the turkey & cheese & top it with mushrooms & other yummy goodness (perfect when steamed), but you really can't go wrong.

Why would you even go to subway or any of those fast food sub shops? Well, stop it and go here. This place is good, super friendly staff, food was real good. Had the 3 cheese steak with bacon. They can steam them or toast them too. Go here for your sandwich fool. LOL have a great day. First time here

Wow. I was dropping my mom off at the airport a little early and we decided to grab a quick bite before her flight so we found this sandwich shop on yelp. We pulled up to an interesting strip mall with a tiny sand which place and boy, never judge a book by its cover!! I can tell you I had the BEST sub in my whole life. Not one of those crappy subways or jimmy johns or even pot bellies. This was fresh, tasty, and the bread is homemade! Nothing better. Going back for sure!

This is our office's favorite sub shop in the Donelson area. They offer a huge variety of subs that can be cooked a variety of ways. Everything tastes really good & fresh and the service is quick. The atmosphere is simple but that's a good thing. Overall a great lunch spot!

Nice sandwiches, gets really busy starting at Noon. The food comes out pretty quick though. These sandwiches are densely packed. You definitely get your moneys worth eating here. The "Torpedo and Destroyer" are one of my faves. The decor is typical of a sandwich joint. If you're ever in the area stop by, you won't be disappointed!

This is a pretty good joint it depends on who's making the subs some days are better than others I normally get a 8 inch rye with pastrami and corned beef mixed with all the fixings... Love it!

I stopped here the other day for lunch. I was impressed the the amount of sub combinations, even several vegetarian selections. I would highly suggest looking at the on-line menu before going. One unique visual about the place is all the maps on the walls. Very cool.

The only reason I take a star away is the hours. They cater to the lunch rush mostly, so they close early on Weeknights and Weekends. I have had 5 sandwiches there and they were all good. I don't do deli sandwiches often but these are excellent.

In college, I worked at a locally owned sandwich shop in Arkansas called Munchy's that served their sandwiches steamed. It has been since I left there and moved to Nashville that my heart has pined for a locally-owned little sub shop akin to Munchy's that serves their goods steamed. My grandma recently told me about Sub Depot, and in the past week, I've been in twice. First of all, the menu is huge! You can get anything from the Destroyer (ham, turkey, salami, roast beef) to a meatball sub, philly cheesesteak, or chicken sub. They have sandwiches made to order, but you can also build your own sandwich consisting of the wide array of toppings and condiments. Now, these are not little piddly sammies with 3 slices of meat on them. These are 8-inch man-sized sandwiches loaded up with meat, cheese and veggies on freshly-baked bread. For a smaller sandwich you can get the mini, which is 5 inches, and the biggest sandwich is 14 inches. You can get your sub steamed, but you can also order it cold or toasted. I tried the meatball sub toasted last time I was in and it was wonderful. You can order chips with your sandwich, as well as a cup of soup or pasta salad, and I highly recommend the broccoli cheese soup (it tastes like it might be homemade). The location isn't that great (for me), but I feel it is worth it to drive a few extra miles to the Donelson area to score a solid sandwich. Good stuff!
