After a boozy lunch, we stopped by the Starbucks for some afternoon beverages. I rarely drink coffee, so I ordered some Ice Tea Cooler thing. My guy ordered a Trente Americano, all the funny complications to his order he loves. I think it's pretty funny. I was confused to whether the new size Trente, was 30 ounces or 30 shots. Although I'm a complete dork when I'm buzzed, the barista enjoyed my humor.

I can't believe I like this place! It's against everything I stand for in coffee. Its known roast is black to the point of being charred. Its beans are a week old or more, it's overpriced, and it's so sterile. This location is no different. But the people here are so nice. The barista said that they could make me a Pike's Place brew with a pour-over method, which means a fresher cup than the standard brew urns. It cost no extra, and it's fun to watch them. Pike's Place is far better than their standard roast, since it's not nearly as bitter. After I got my drink, I saw that they offered a blond roast, promising a not as dark a bean. I approached the manager, who was extremely friendly, and surprisingly honest with some of his views. Once I had to leave, he gave me a sample package of the blond roast to brew on my own. I left this Starbucks happier than I had ever before. If you're on the West Side and you're one of those poor saps who LIKES Starbucks, this is undoubtedly the best one in the area. I am so pleased with my experience.

The staff are very friendly here and they move people through the line quickly. Unfortunately the parking is awful in the evenings, but before 8am there's plenty of parking right outside the store.

This is the best coffee shop in Nashville. The crew here knows what they are doing; they'll take good care of you. They are fast, courteous, and service-oriented. They make good coffee, always fresh, always hot. It is worth your while to make your way over here for the best coffee in town. It shares parking with several shops, so just grab a spot in the garage behind the building, and come in the back door.

I was initially at the Bread and Company next door and couldn't figure out what's what. So, I came into this Starbucks, instead. Nice, small Starbucks. Probably only enough to seat about 20 inside; 9 outside. Kind of dark inside, but there are seats near the front windows. The wooden (made from reclaimed wood!) seats at the window are uncomfortable (no backs) and wobbly. Pastry offering was meager, but as long as they have my cheese danish, I'm fine. I'd probably still go to the bigger one up the street if I wanted to find a place to sit comfortably.

the latte was the worst I've ever had in my life.. . I don't normally frequent starbucks but for a chain they make somewhat decent coffee... . I even got 2 shots and it still just tasted like milk

Great place for a rendezvous as a starter location to meet blind dates. You can migrate from there if the "interview" goes well. Nice location next to PF Changs. Parking is a bitch. There are not enough lounge chairs. Those little wooden chairs and tables are not very friendly. Service is good.

Only medium size by Starbucks standards. Cool Portland Brew coffeehouse nearby on Murphy Road at West End is preferred alternative.
