I've been in and out of this Smoothie King for years and years, and it's a consistent experience. There's a ton of flavors and additives to choose from. It's too bad the parking is a complete nightmare. I was on the receiving end of a nefarious fender bender while at this place, so be sure you keep one eye on your whip while you're ordering your Gladiator. TIP: Download the Smoothie King app and scan your screen to earn points toward free smoothies.

They all were standing around looking miserable, half on their cell phones. I put a tip on the credit card slip and the gentleman just looked at me, no thank you, no smile. When they called my drink he acted like he didn't no what it was and just places it on the counter. Then turned next to him and grabbed his phone and started playing in it. I make it a point to stay off my phone in restaurants because it is very rude. I find it more rude when the one who are suppose to be waiting on you are the ones who are too focused on their phone then the job and good customer service they are suppose to give. It is right next to my work and is easy to stop in, however will probable be my last since the service has been like this the last few times.

I'm familiar with Smoothie King, but have not been in a while. This location is a parking nightmare! The best option is to go to the back and look for parking, if the spaces in front are full. The selection of smoothie's at Smoothie King is good. And thanks to Yelp, I saved $1 off my purchase! Don't forget to check-in!

Passion Passport has always been my favorite (and only) drink here at Smoothie King. I came in yesterday and asked for the same drink and the guy behind the counter asked me if I wanted to add strawberry to it. "It is good", he said. So I agreed to it. By adding the strawberry, it costed me almost $2, which is not a problem. However, I didn't know "adding strawberry" would make my drink tasted like pure sugar with little to no taste of strawberry....It was SO sweet it made me GAG all the way to my car. Lesson learned, no more adding anything to my drink. P.S Checking in Yelp for $1 off your purchase. 2013/#24

Here's my first hand experience from yesterday. There was a line. A long line. One person working behind the counter and I politely asked if anyone else was working today. He replied "yes but we've got a lot of other stuff to do". "Other stuff" is apparently more important than waiting on paying customers. I did myself a favor and made the short drive to Belle Meade Plaza where their "other stuff" is primarily to make you a smoothie.

I can't believe smoothie king is still hanging on to be honest with you. I remember when smoothies were a big deal. Gigantic fruit smoothies with 'boosts'. Then some where along the way people realized that most of these smoothie chains make their fruit smoothies with a ton of sugar. Fruit is sugar, sugar in the frozen yogurt, even the fruit itself is sweetened, and who the heck knows what the hell is in the 'boosts' they throw in there to make some extra change. I usually make my smoothies at home and yes they can be sugary, I don't treat smoothies like a meal, but a dessert and I never have them as a snack because I'll just have a sugar crash. Smoothie King isn't as good as Jamba Juice but it satisfied my dessert needs.

The staff here is always friendly, but parking can be difficult because of Hillsboro Pike and the tiny lot that's usually taken up by Starbucks' customers. Tip: Try parking in the back!

I like this place. Would go there more often if parking wasn't such a bitch. Lots of options to choose from. Some low-fat, some high-fat, etc. If you like smoothies, you should find something that you like here. I've always found the service to be pretty quick. They usually have 2-3 people working behind the counter.

Smoothie King is apparently a chain, but this is the first one I've come across. I'm a big fan of smoothies and other blended fruit-based drinks (not that there are any aside from smoothies). The prices, as I expected, are a bit high, but all the flavors are pretty tasty. Smoothie King is a health store, and they have all sorts of strangely named additives they can put in your drink (immune booster, vision enhancer, energy explosion, yadda yadda), but they each cost extra, and I'm not so sure they're that effective. Either way, their selection of flavors is pretty extensive, and I believe they're made with fresh fruit. The staff at this place is pretty nice, though I think it's part of their ob to try and coax you into adding those fancy boosters to your drink. Smoothie King is walking distance from the Belcourt and several great bars and restaurants, so it makes for a pretty great health-conscious dessert. I'd say it's worth checking out.

I haven't been to a Smoothie King in 2 years (since I moved away from Nashy) and I miss it soo bad! I once found one in an airport in Dallas but they didn't make my favorite Coconut Surprise smoothie- in fact- when I ordered it- the lady looked at me like I was crazy. Anyway- I always went to this location because I could walk there from my house and the service was always good but the smoothies were fantastic!

I love their slogan: Chewing is overrated. It's true - at least when you are in a rush. It's easy to swing in here and grab a smoothie for a good snack. And they now offer a list of smoothies under 300 calories. SCORE!
