Be prepared to come hungry and leave like a stuffed sausage. Food was pretty incredible! But, be prepared to love chicken. The only other meat on the menu besides smoked chicken, was bacon, and that was atop a chicken burger or Mac n cheese. I'd love to see them brighten their horizons a little bit. 2 for 1 draft beers every day from 2-8 AND 2 for 1 tall boys all day every day....well done, sir. WARNING: I have never seen so many flies in my life as I did sitting on Smokin Thighs patio. Beware if you're eating in the hot months. We ended up having to move inside. I'd recommend the chicken nachos to anyone and everyone. They're shareable for sure. And the chicken tacos were incredible. Chicken Cuban was so-so. I wouldn't get it again. All around...excited to go back...and order one of the moonshine cocktails.

Great environment to watch a game without having to settle for traditional "bar food." Granted they do offer wings and burgers, but with a twist. This time around I tried the pile of thighs. The chicken was tender had great flavor and the smokiness was just what the doctor ordered. You can choose your heat level and if you like hot food, don't let the name "make em sweat" scare you off. That's the hottest level but it is good balance of heat and sweetness.

Wow! What a surprise! Came in expecting "meh" and left after an A"meh"zing lunch! Really great flavored, service , and moonshine! Try the moonshine flight - you won't regret it. Also highly recommend the pile o thighs. Really excellent. Only item that disappointed was the pimento mac and cheese. It was very basic. Otherwise great find!

I love the food truck, and while there new storefront location has some perks, they fall short from becoming a personal hotspot. First off, they only do chicken and bacon Mac and cheese. No beef, pork, or anything else. Just chicken. I'm sure their wings are not bad, but my chicken bacon cheeseburger wasn't anything to rave about. Flavorless chicken, and the bread was the only thing I liked. Maybe the bacon Mac and cheese side, which you can customize for different toppings, would be better? The bacon bits were chewy, but bland, and the cheese tasted like a faux cheese dip. Sadly, I am not impressed by the food here, but there are some silver linings. They have a bar with a huge focus on moonshine. I cannot drink, but this may be of interest to many here in Nashville. It's a smaller bar, but looked great. The atmosphere is typical of BBQ and chicken type places. Perhaps too sterile since it just opened, but the painting on the outside is neat. Also, there are 6-7 TV's lined up on one wall. Possible sports bar? I think they should have put their bar over their too. The bar is very small, and doesn't have a TV. Service was friendly from what I could tell. All in all, I cannot recommend this food joint. It's focus on chicken is far behind any of the great chicken/hot chicken places already established in Nashville. Find the food truck for a semi better experience.

Terrible service. Food was good. Arrived and a waitress walked by and said ill be with you shortly. 20 mins later she finally came back out and asked for our drink orders. 10 mins later we finally had menus with drinks following shortly but only the beers we also all needed some water and had put that in with our drink order... 15 mins later they finally took our order lol still no water . Food came out we ordered the dump truck of wings. Comes in a truck super cute! But it wasn't our waitress that brought it out and they didn't bring us plates or napkins. Finally I went up to the bartender and asked for plates napkins and water. The beers were buy one get one and the beer i ordered was out so i only got a half of beer. She took my chip and so I guess its buy one get what they got left?

Very cheap beers, 2-8pm two for one drafts.. also 2-4-1 all day tall boys. On top of that excellent smoked stuff. Great owner too, he use to own food truck biz and apparently he did so well that now he could afford to open this place.. highly recommended.. If you like beer or moonshine then its very cheap place comparing to other ones...enjoy

Busy lunch, but amazing service. Food was delicious and came out promptly. This place has great ambience and even better patio. But one of my favorite things about it is that they serve Kool-Aid, so original! I will definitely frequent this place often.

Pretty good. I had the wings with the Nashville hot dry rub. They were very good. I also liked the corn and baked beans side. The food was definitely good but two things kept me from ranking higher. 1. My food took awhile longer than expected and I was on my lunch break. 2. Competition in the area. Overall I thought the food was and may try it again but there are 3 other bbq places I love close by.

Smokin Thighs This place sucks!!! From the food to the service and management...I tried this mess for the first time...sorry to say....NO GOOD I told the so called manager my problem..he got a serious attitude trying to argue with me....I cook all the time..so I know chicken very well...the meat was supposed to be boneless skinless but it had fat and skin running all through my slop on a plate...and the famous bacon mac n cheese...lol..really..for someone who could care less about the flavor and quality of food and service...STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE....RUDE SO CALLED OWNER..At least the guy said he was the owner...sides were horrible as well yukkkkkkk!! Never again....

This is a wonderful place to eat. One of the best barbecue chickens I have ever eaten ! Very highly recommend that you check this place out. We're antique dealers you set up at the fleamarket just around the corner. At the Nashville Tennessee raceway fairgrounds. First time here will definitely be back and would highly recommend it !

Wow, this is local casual (yet culturally distinct) Southern cusine at its finest. Yes, it is a bits detour (by that I mean a few minutes drive from most places), but absolutely worth it. The chicken is by far the most flavorful I have ever had anywhere - you can taste the smokey flavor (and its not a gag and choke smoke, but smoke of glory). I really like how they have great moonshine selection to give it that local TN kick to help you wash down your food. The layout of the place has slight vintage feel but not an overly done one, as you have modern metal tables and chairs to give it a clean feeling. Price is a little bit more than some random dive places in Nashville, the flavor is worth it all. I'll be honest, I only stopped by because this place gets me sky miles with American Airlines.

  • Ashley M.

This place had a cool vibe and treated moonshine like other places treat wine. There was a whole moonshine list and several moonshine cocktails. Great 2 for 1 beers and excellent chicken and Mac and cheese!

Great food, beer selection and moonshine flights. Horrible fly problem outside - think dozens swarming around each of us. We would have gone inside to finish eating but we had our dog with us. Get the flys under control and the rating would improve.

Stumbled in here on a whim, and the food is absolutely amazing! They also have a great beer selection and really good happy hour deals! I ordered the 'thighs in a pile' flavored hot and sweet. My sides were bacon pimento mac & cheese and smoked chicken baked beans. I loved all of it! As if that wasn't enough food, I topped it off with the Jack Daniels infused chocolate cake (sounds yummy, right?)...it was AMAZING. They get it from a local bakery and it was literally everything great about the world on a plate lol. Plus the bartender was ridiculously nice! Will definitely be back to try other menu items!

  • Jonathan M.

I got the "Thighs in a pile" with the Asian persuasion sauce. It was AMAZING!! The Bacon mac and cheese and the loaded potato salad were also great. The staff and management were great and made sure we understood everything on the menu. Can't wait to come back many more times!!!! Reasonably priced and lots of parking! !!

We passed by on the way to flea market and it had pretty good reviews so we decided to try it out. Our waitress wasn't familiar with the different levels of wing sauce which was disappointing. The roasted corn, spicy slaw, and Mac and cheese were awesome though! We're going to try it one more time. But the Nashville hot is not hot at all.

  • Linz W.

Food is slightly over priced for quality. I had the bacon cheddar chicken burger and was disappointed to find bits of bacon on the burger rather than actual slices of bacon. It appeared that these are also the same bits of bacon used for the macaroni and cheese as well as the potato salad. Wings were ok but too much sauce for my taste. It appeared to be a slow night for the restaurant and yet service was rather slow.

Smoked bbq chicken. This who they are and what they do. Don't even think about ordering fries either, they don't have those, and I appreciate that. Got the buffalo blue chicken burger. First bite was really tasty, but as I continued it became so-so. The baked beans were pretty good and Mac & cheese with bacon was creamy but didn't hit my taste buds the right way. Really liked the decor and vibe. Pretty nice beer selection featuring all my Nashville favorites. Biggest turnoff was the noise. It was really loud. All hard surfaces and nothing to absorb some sound. A little pricey for what it is as well. A Yazoo Hefeweizen should not be $6. That and I'm not going to crave the food anytime soon.

Today was my premiere experience with Smokin Thighs. And if you are in the mood for flavorful and moist smoked chicken, then this is worth the trip. If you plan your lunches around terrific sides and attentive staff, this shouldn't be your first choice. If you don't want to pay $15+ dollars for lunch, don't bother coming. My pile of thighs on Texas toast was as advertised. A large portion that was close to perfection. It may have been perfect but my choice of add-on (onion) apparently sounds like pineapple. By the time I picked it all off the juice had filled the meat so getting the correct topping seemed pointless. Had the baked beans and was underwhelmed. I never realized how much flavor those "burnt ends" on brisket and BBQ adds to the flavor of beans. There is obviously no such luxury on smoked chicken because the beans were just sad. The bacon pimento Mac and cheese was slightly better. Very creamy and bacon is bacon but with serving sizes slightly larger than shot glasses its hard to appreciate any flavor (I found none.) I'll probably try again and will try different things but this will never be more than a twice a year type of place.

This was the highlight of our day long shopping trip today. The food was amazing. The service was great. The inside decor was pretty cool and there were several tv's playing sports. 2 for 1 pints of beer from 2-8 daily. Can't beat that deal. I had wings with the dry rub. Very good. I will def get wings the next time we visit as well. We all shared the chicken nachos. Probably the best chicken nachos I've ever had. Our daughter had the chicken tacos, they were very good as well. A place like this is a rare find and makes me wish it was my local neighborhood bar and grill. The place was very clean also. Don't let the outside fool you the place is amazing.

  • Chad R.

Excellent food. I got the wings with 2 sides. The wings are amazingly tender and smoked the right way. The Bacon mac and cheese was great, and honestly can say that I had the best Baked Beans of my life here. My friend had the Chicken Nachos, and although they were kinda cold, there was so much flavor that it didn't matter either way, I could eat them every day. Monday nights they have a Moonshine flight with over 20 moonshines to choose from. Will definitely be partaking in that soon!!

  • Mike M.

I was expecting this place to be a dark dive but it's actually light, tastefully decorated, very clean (including bathroom)! I ordered: - pile high chicken with 'perfectly' awesome seasoning with pineapple...awesome!!! - bacon mac & cheese (side)....maybe the BEST I've ever had, gourmet! - smoked chicken chilly (side)...just the right amount of spice, I could've made a meal out of it. -Moonrita Moonshine...give me more!!!! I'll be back many times!

I really enjoyed this place, and I wish we could get more concepts like this In Cincinnati. We got a huge portion of smoked wings for our group of five, and the chicken was tender, juicy and had great smoke flavor. When I first viewed the dish (came out in a Tonka truck covered in an assortment of other toppings), I thought the restaurant may have gone too far into their bag of tricks. I'm happy to report that it was a great spin on a barbecue classic. It's definitely a place that I'd go back to.

Loved the wings, loved the sides... All around love. The bar is not trying too hard to look cool but it is awesome and the service is good.

The food and customer service at this establishment is Smoking Hot. I will begin with our wonderful waitress Robin. We had reservations for a party of 10. Upon entering, we were greeted and seated inmediately. Robin was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. I went with the chicken tacos and they were absolutely delicious! It was an orgasmic eating experience. The meat is seasoned and smoked to perfection. My colleagues raved about the Jack Daniels cake as well. Trina the manager, went above and beyond to ensure that everyone at our table had a wonderful dining experience. When I return to Nashville, I will definitely dine at Smoking Thighs!

Smoking Thighs has fantastic chicken- Seriously delicious in whatever application you choose to consume it in. The inside is cool and interesting, the service is good and fast. The menu is well priced and you won't leave hungry. A few cons: if you have a larger rear end like me and my mother (who was my lunch date for our visit), the chairs are not comfortable the tight metals arms made it painful for me to sit unless i say twisted in my chair. I know that it's my problem to lose weight but this is the South and heavier people do spend money in restaurants, I wish that their has been comfier chairs available beside the one giant booth which I wasn't going to grab an 11 top for a two person meal.. Also, the sides aren't as good as the chicken. We sampled the mac and cheese, the coleslaw, the corn, and the potato salad. I can't decide if the dishes were actually lackluster or just overshadowed by the fantastic chicken. You should definately go to Smoking Thighs- just be aware that your seat might not be as comfortable as you would like.

The menu looks great, the drinks look like fun, but the service is non-existent. We came in on a Saturday night around 7:30, sat down at one of the many available tables, and waited for over ten minutes with not a single person acknowledging our presence. It's not a big place, so you would think they would at minimum say hello and come back in a few, but no such luck. The food menu looked great, but maybe the restaurant business is a bit over their skill level. They should probably just stick to the food truck. So to sum things up, if you don't mind sitting in a restaurant with no drink, food or service, then this is the place for you. There are plenty of other chicken places in Nashville, I would try any of them before this place....we did.

Usually I pull out of my parking lot at work and take a right. Today, the food god was with me because, for whatever reason, I turned left. Thank the stars above that I did because about a block up on the left was Smokin' Thighs. So I did what every reasonable person would do, I hung a U and pulled up. Boy am I glad I did! I walked up and placed my order for thighs with Perfectly Awesome medium sauce and a side of bacon mac-n-cheese (I am a slave to bacon). I waited the couple of minutes it took to get my order and I was back in the car to make the short trip back to the office. Upon my return, I unwrapped my foil-encased treat.... Two smoked thighs on a bed of Texas toast and lovingly coated in the Perfectly Awesome (and appropriately named) sauce. But first I HAD to get a forkful of that mac! Yes, I'm in love with a side dish. Get over it. After I "oooohed and aaahhhed", I grabbed one of my food partners in crime (who happens to be about ten yards away) and only muttered "grab a fork". She did. She swooned. She cursed her Lean Cuisine. She asked when the truck would be nearby again. I told her. We marked our calendar. See a pattern here? We are already planning lunch for a couple of weeks from now. What's not to love? Scrumptious mac-n-cheese with bacon and succulent thighs all served with a smile and a gracious host. Smokin' Thighs - I heart you!

This place is awful. 45 minutes and still no service!? Every one of these waitresses has a rotten attitude... Claiming the next one is responsible for my table. Each one is worst than the previous. You've been warned.

Please read before you visit !!!!! Worst experience ever !!!!!!!!! We went to celebrate my Aunt's birthday with 30 people. I have never seen an owner not like their customers and the money they are spending. The rudeness was totally unacceptable. The only one decent was the manager and I feel sorry for her. He actually stated that if we could afford to buy his place then we can act any way we want to the customers. How degrading can you be? I am sure this 9 month old establishment will not be in business for long with that kind of attitude!!!!

  • Tammy K.

Please read this before you ever visit. We went here to celebrate the birthday of our aunts 57th birthday. Such a very sad disappointment. It was the worst place I have visited. The owner said that he never charged for a large party before and since we were out of towners and not from Nashville he was charging us gratuity because we moved tables to accommodate our party. Watching the manager and the owner fight in front of us should have been reason to leave from the beginning. I am a lady and he confronted me like a man. Like a back street alley fighter. I have never been so disrespected by an owner. I would never return!!! Thank you for responding in such a timely manner. If your conduct would have been as professional in person as your response is online , then there would not have been so many disappointed patrons that spent over $1,000 in total for an evening that was to be so celebrated. If the only complaint would have been moving the tables, there would not have been an issue. It was the Customer care. The owner and his terrible attitude and treatment of our guest. As for calling ahead, on a Monday night at 8:00 there was 1 table in in use. I am sure our friends and family will not return after the vicious remarks made by the owner and the treatment of his manager we all witnessed.

The nachos are great, the bacon mac is great, the owner and staff are great, and it's in a great location (that I can walk to - so I may be biased). Also a good wall of TVs and a variety of sports on all the time. Overall, it's pretty great! Can't wait for low-gravity beer, and then this will probably be my local hangout of choice.

Some of the worst service I've encountered in the Wedgewood area. We sat for a long time with no menus. Then, once we got menus, the waiter seemed befuddled the whole time. Forgetting drink orders. Negating to refill, etc. One of the girls carrying water to refill even saw my glass looked at it... Looked at me... And walked off and didn't fill it. For the rest of the meal, the waiter seemed to be preoccupied with his phone in the back instead of coming to our table except when absolutely required upon gazing directly at him. The food is ok. Martin's is 10x better. Went for convenient location. Will only return if I can get better service...

Chicken only, no red meat, no problem! Amazing! Pile High was great. Sides were great. Beer was cold. Is there anything else that matters. Oh yeah, the service, also top notch. Definitely will come back next time I'm in Nashville! Well worth it!

Good food. Late lunch, great service. Spicy bacon mac-n-cheese was killer, smoked chicken chili was excellent. The smoked chicken was very flavorful. I can't wait to come back and get smoked wings

I am going to be brief. I had dinner tonight at Smokin' Thighs with my wife and a friend. In short, the food was mostly good (smoked chicken nachos, chicken burger and a leg quarter) but the wedge salad is a bit pricey for what you are getting. Overall I would give the food a good review. Beer selection and prices are good. Service was pretty poor and inattentive and it took forever to get our food. We will possibly come back but they really need to improve the service.

So, my boyfriend and I heard about this place and decided to give it a try. As we walked in the door, we saw a man eating the Nachos and were sold. The gentleman who sat us was very kind, and our waitress was sweet, but slow. It took almost 15 minutes for our order to be taken, and another 35-40 minutes to receive our food (which seemed a bit long when there were only 2 tables occupied, along with 2 guys at the bar). Our food came (nachos and we ordered a side of the loaded baked beans), and it looked amazing! Their loaded baked beans were incredible! I was seriously impressed. Possible the best I've had. However, the nachos, we were pretty disappointed in. For starters, the it was cold (so we were waiting on food that was apparently sitting out for a while). The chicken on them, aside from being cold, was dry. Had the chicken not been dry, and the meal been warm, I would probably give this place 4 stars (1 docked for the wait, and one of the owners who was clearly intoxicated and walking around to all of the tables to make conversation). When you go to a place called "smokin thighs", your expectations for the chicken is a little higher. Ultimately we were pretty unimpressed and pretty disappointed. Don't know that we will be back. Maybe for some loaded baked beans to-go.

Starting with a 3 star rating, but I'm going to try again. There's definitely room for improvement. The jumbo smoked wings (Nashville hot chicken seasoning) saved the dinner overall. Definitely recommend these wings. I started with the quarter chicken bone-in, and per the suggestion on my server added toppings (jalapenos and shredded pepper jack cheese). The chicken was good enough with a nice smoke and grill finish, and the grilled jalapenos were a good kick. The cheese though didn't make any sense.. It was just cold shredded cheese, grated on top of the chicken?? Am I missing something? Why not run it through the oven quick for a little melt? Lastly the Mac and cheese and potato salad were good enough, but if they started using their own cooked bacon crumbles i think it would set it over the top. Seemed like store bought 'bacon bits' tonight though. 2-4-1 beers (except high gravity) From 2-8 everyday!

Ok so I'm a completely weird person in that I normally don't love chicken. I am just not a fan. But I absolutely LOVE this chicken. They've made me a believer. We got the pimento Mac and cheese on toast as our appetizer and it was out of this world! My hubby and friends has the wings and loved them. I had the nachos. Quite possibly the best nachos I've ever had!

We went to Smoking Thighs on Saturday during dinner time and we're able to sit right away. The place was crowded, but not packed. Our server was very helpful and friendly and gave us time to pick our drinks and food orders. They have 2-4-1s everyday from 2-8pm. So that was very cool. We all ended up getting different chicken burgers. Not only is the chicken juicy and flavorful, but their toppings are amazing too. I had the Buffalo Bleu, which was amazing, and a bite of my fiancés Cubano. I'm not sure which one I like more. The sides were delicious as well. Get the bacon mac n cheese for sure. However, they could be larger portions. A great establishment, and look forward to going again soon to try their wings!!

Last night we took our "hot wings club" to Smokin' Thighs. Each month we try a new restaurant that serves hot wings. I've gotta say - Smokin' Thighs is up there with the best in town. The restaurant is clean and large enough to accommodate large groups - we had 20 people and had absolutely no problems squeezing enough tables together for all of us. I was feeling brave and ordered their hottest flavor, "Make U Sweat," it was definitely hot - but tolerable - and the flavor was fantastic! A lot of times the hottest flavor just tastes like "hot" without a lot of depth. I also ordered the bacon mac and cheese and the baked beans. Delicious! The waitstaff was attentive and friendly. The beer and moonshine selection is fantastic - I've never seen so many flavors of moonshine! I appreciate all of the local beer options as well. The restaurant has ample parking. All in all - no complaints here. Hope to see them succeed.

Looking to try a new place and stumbled upon Smokin Thighs. It's literally in the middle of the road and can easily be missed - but once you walk in its perfect. The staff is super friendly and extremely helpful. They have 150 different moonshines - I had the pecan pie which tasted exactly like liquid pecan pie. I had the wings with the hot & sweet as well as the Asian fusion. Hot & Sweet is by far the best bbq sauce I've had on wings it was just enough spice just enough cool so that you would want to lick your fingers. The Asian fusion sauce has a a great taste sort of like sweet chili sauce - but not a good mix with the wings the sauce just wasn't enough. I had their chicken baked beans, I could do without nothing amazing about it and they had a strong vinegar aftertaste. Now the bacon Mac n Cheese (their signature dish) was delicious. The mac n cheese was just that but the crumbling of apple smoke bacon sent it over the top. Their side portions are small - so don't be afraid to order "a lot". Last but not least I was convinced to have dessert - know this first I don't do sweets and do not care for chocolate. Now make a trip to specifically pick up their Jack Daniel's infused chocolate cake may be the best cake I've ever tasted. That alone is worth going back. The chicken was great it's smoked and flavored so well even without the sauce the chicken was great.

Awesome! Smoked thighs and they take the meat off the bone for you. Good sides. Friendly staff with good service. I will definitely put this in my lunch time rotation.

If you want moonshine and chicken this is your place. The chicken is succulent, smoky, and piled high. The mac n' cheese and loaded potato salad make excellent accompaniments to the chicken. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxed. There are tons of TV screens for the sports fan and plenty of moonshine to get you wobbly in the knees. If you have space in your stomach, do try the apple cake. It's fantastic!

First time at the brick and mortar location after having the food truck. Decent experience. Our server Wayne gave excellent service. They have 8 TVs going with all the games. I got the chicken in a pile and the portions were small. The bacon mac is tasty but each one we got was cold. Tried to order the legs but they said they didn't make any today! I will be back to try it again though. Cool neighborhood joint.

This was my last stop of the day at the 2013 Nashville Street Food Awards. I had THOUGHT I was done for the day until I saw a guy walking along with what appeared to be some really tasty Mac. n Chee. So I asked and he told after I beat it out of him. He pointed his now broken finger through the crowd over to Smokin Thighs truck. He tried to mumble something, but couldn't after the beating I gave him. I walked up to the window like a Boss. The sign said to ask them about their Special mac n chee. So I said "Tell me about your special Mac.n Chee". She told me about it. Keywords; Mac, Cheese, Bacon, Pineapple, Tomato, Deliciousness. So I didn't look a like a total n00b that only ate Mac n Chee, I also ordered some thighs. In a pile. Perfectly hot or something like that. The chicken wasn't that great. It was a mixed bag. Some was overcooked and dry, other pieces were moist and tender and yummy. The Mac n Chee though.. THAT was good!!! I will be back for some more of that! And, I just may buy some for that poor fellow whose jaw I broke while interrogating him about where he found that Mac n Chee....

Came here for lunch and let me tell you they have one of the tastiest mac & cheese I have ever tried. I had the Wings on the Bone - Perfectly awesome medium spicy with bacon mac & cheese and the smoked chicken baked beans. Everything was tasty! Everything was super delicious and the prices were decent at $9.99 for all that good flavored food. It's a steal! The only thing that they can improve on is the service. It was busy and our waitress looked like she was slammed. She got some drinks wrong and mixed up some sides. Other than that everything was ok. I will go back to get that Tonka Truck full of wings. I want that Tonka Truck!!!

My wife and I went by yesterday to get a bite. Decor is great , 8 TV's perfectly placed, Staff friendly, bar (my fav spot) has high gravity beer, moonshine, bourbon (yum). We had the dry rubbed wings & side of chicken chili on both. Yumsville!!!! We paid about $12.50 per person. Pricing good. For them being open only 9 or 10 days , they are doing great. Anyone who visits, if you have an issue with the food or service for sure talk to the owner Matt. Very customer friendly.

I stopped here for lunch today. I had the pile of chicken with the rub and the baked potato salad and it was outstanding!!! The chicken was moist, just smokey enough, with a little char on it. Perfectly done!! I will definitely be back!!!

I would have loved to give this place 4.5 but can't bring myself to do it. Avoid on Fridays at lunch... Took an hour after we ordered for us to even get an appetizer! I would recommend the tacos. Food and our waitress was good but not worth an hour wait.

My party if 5 arrived and placed our order at 1:40 and out food was served at 2:45. The waitress and manager were very apologetic and discounted our check by 15% for the delay. The taste of the food was fantastic!!! It's a relatively limited menu of mostly all chicken but it had a unique taste and I'd definitely go back again!!

Great food and atmosphere. Everything smoked and nothing fried. I had the wings with dry rub seasoning and bacon Mac n cheese and potato salad. Everything was awesome.

This place is the bomb. We stumbled on it by accident but are happy we did. Had great beers on tap, sat at the bar, and chatted w a friendly bar tender who made some awesome recs. I got the "Chicken in a Pile", which was really good quality pulled chicken - I selected the super hot sauce and topped it with the recommended mozzarella and pineapple. Sounds weird, but it was a great combination of flavors Humble recommendation: throw the chicken under the broiler to melt the cheese before serving. Mac and cheese was creamy (small noodles) and delicious. My husband got the wings (half hot wet run, half dry), and ate it so quickly and happily I barely snagged a bite. Overall, great spot. Attentive service, comfortable and casual ambiance, and obviously great quality chicken.

I'll go again and hope to improve the rating. The service was terrible. It took too long to be greeted, too long to order and asked for utensils 3 times then gave up went to bar to get my own. Food was good, really good, love the decor.

Pros: The food was good. I had the wings on the bone, which were 6 delicious wings with two equally tasty sides (i.e., bacon mac and cheese and baked beans). I also enjoyed the interior of the establishment. Cons: The prices of the food/drinks were a few dollars higher than I would normally spend...which collectively add up. I mean a pint of beer for $7 is a little steep! On top of the prices being slightly higher than expected, I was really let down with the portion sizes of the food. I got my 6 wings and two tiny sides (while tasty) that did not fill me up. After spending roughly 20 dollars for one beer and my food, I went home still hungry and immediately having to make a follow-up meal in order to be content. In the end, the prices and the portion sizes of the food were a let down for me. As a result, I don't plan to go back to this place unless the prices and/or portions sizes change for the better.

Great plce for wings and speciality cocktails. The food was fantastic.....I had wings. Actually the best wings I have ever had! The staff were friendly and made great suggestions. Can't wait to go back.

I work right down the street and go there as much as I can. The service is always top notch and the food is out of this world. I always get chicken in a pile with macaroni and cheese with bacon bits. I would recommend this place to everyone that is in the South Nashville area.

What a great edition to the neighborhood! This place is not only adorable but delicious! Bacon Mac n cheese...that is all! Ha! There isn't regular beer but there is an amazing amount of moonshine! How can you go wrong with a pile of thighs and moonshine?!?

  • John M.

Went tonight with my wife to check it out. It definitely reminds me of some great hole in the wall places that we have in the boondocks of East Tennessee. The chicken is delicious, they have a HUGE whiskey and moon shine selection, and they have kool-aid on the menu. Bonus points: ball wide mouth mason jars as their drinking glasses.

Very very good! In a town full of fried hot chicken, this is not only better for you but is just straight up better, period! Smoked chicken n dumplings is amazing.

I'm in the middle of the road on Smokin' Thighs. I really liked my meal there, but there are just as many not so good as good observations on my list: Good: -The smoked chicken: Excellent flavor! Loved it with the sweet BBQ. -Baked beans and cole slaw: Really tasty -Happy hour: We had an assortment of beers that were great & priced well. The moonshine selection is pretty cool too - we had a dangerously delicious apple concoction -Service & Atmosphere: Attentive, friendly staff and a laid back vibe The Not Necessarily Bad, But Not So Good: -Plate presentation: I get that it's called chicken in a pile and it is exactly that. However, it was visually incredibly unappetizing, mulched up and just plopped on the tin plate like that. I think maybe a slice of bread underneath would do wonders? Just... something different. -The random raw baby carrots on the plate: With a menu so full of heavy, rich sides (the only green side is a salad, which was a $1.50 up charge to your already $10 meal), I was dying for something crisp and refreshing... and the carb-rich carrots just seemed odd and every single one in my party of four was untouched and wasted. We all agreed celery would have been a much more awesome addition. -Bacon Mac & Cheese: the flavor was there, but the pasta was too al dente and it was overall dry. Maybe it was an older batch? Maybe reheated? Not sure. But it could have been much better. Will any of these things keep me from returning? No, but I will make different choices next time. These were just things that, to me, made the difference between three and four stars.

I really, really, really want to give 4.5 stars!!!! This meal was so amazing but a few things that prevent it being a 5 so I have to go with a four. When we arrived there was only one other table but we were immediately greeted, grabbed a table and ordered some cocktails. The bartender was really helpful offering me samples of beers but I'm thinking he has had his bridge burned once or twice as he wouldn't recommend a beer only offer me samples. Some might see that as generous but it made me think he wasn't familiar with the beers. Either way, he was super helpful and helped us pick a flight of 6 moonshines (only $15!!!) that were all really delicious. Granted their menu is limited (all chicken!) we could not make a decision. We finally chose Nashville Hot Wings (more like Montreal seasoning than Nashville Hot Chicken) and they were incredible. They were smoked and held on to the bone just enough, they were also a really good size. After that we got the Cuban burger which was juicy, big and so incredibly delicious served on Texas toast. For sides we got the cole slaw (meh), potato salad (hold on to your hat, it is amazing! Tasted just like a loaded Baked Potato (sour cream instead of mayo? Yum) and the regular bacon mac and cheese. Can't say enough about the mac and cheese, or the entire meal to be honest with you. The food was so good and prepared so well

Smoked chicken is normally dry or greasy. This place was neither. Best bbq chicken. The sauces and toppings are creative and delicious. Mac and cheese - yummy. The potato salad may be the best I ever had. The cocktail and beer selection is great as well. What is this place missing? Nothing. Great food, drinks, service and prices. Can't wait to go back.

We came here when visiting from out of town and loved it. The pile of chicken was delicious and the sides, which seemed small at first, actually turned out to be great. Best of all? FUN, yummy, moonshine drinks! Sports playing on tv if you're into that. If not, enjoy the delicious food and drink!

Bummed out from not getting Foo Fighters tickets, I decided to eat my feelings. Love the truck so I decided to hit the Wedgewood location. Just as delicious as the truck. Chicken in a pile is always good. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

  • Candice S.

This place is amazing. I got the chicken in a pile, and it was absolutely delicious and bursting with flavor. My sides were the bacon mac and cheese and the baked beans, and both were cooked to perfection. The service was also great, but we went on a rainy, cold Sunday night, and there weren't a lot of people in there. Can't wait to go back to try different variations of the mac and cheese. Delicious.

My wife and I enjoyed lunch at Smokin Thighs today, our first visit. The atmosphere and décor is simple and upbeat, even playful, working on the "smokin' thighs" double-entendre theme. I had the Chicken in a Pile with Perfectly Awesome sauce, sides of loaded potato salad and baked beans. The chicken was excellent, a nice alternative to pork for this kind of lunch plate. The baked beans were prepared with chicken and very flavorful. The potato salad was also excellent, but my wife and I agree it would have been better with some chives or sliced green onion sprinkled on top. She had the Legs on the Bone, two huge legs with Gringo Good sauce...very tender, a lot of food. We took one of the legs home. Service was friendly and timely. Bar offerings seemed plentiful for a smallish establishment. TV monitors cover one wall, so any sport you want to watch will be on one of the screens. The restaurant was clean, bathrooms clean and well-stocked. The manager was present and spoke to us. The only negative: carrots placed on our plates (for color, we assumed) were dry and unappetizing... keep them moist, cut them into straws before service, or simply leave them off. Overall, nice place a little off the beaten path, but we will go back. The outdoor seating area would be fun on a warmer day!

New American grilled chicken thighs are the focus at Smokin Thighs in south Nashville. Smoked chicken may not go down the gullet like greased fried. It may not have the hottest burn of Princes, but it is fine in its own chicken speciality. They give good choices including toppings and flavors. I like to get a bit wild sometimes, so tried the Boneless Chopped in a pile, spiciest flavor topped with bacon, jalapenos and pineapple. It was gusty but tasty and different. I Can't Get Too Much Bacon! and so I got even more bacon in the Bacon Mac & Cheese side. There are 4 flavors with varying degrees of spiciness there and someday I'll end up trying them all, for sure. Drink The Kool Aid (or soda) & munch the chicken & U2 can be a Smokin Thighs fan. Its in south Nashville on Wedgewood halfway between interstate 65 and the Fairgrounds in the old Judge Bean restaurant building.

I really wanted to give this place a 5 based in the food and a 3 based on the service/convenience. Went there for lunch on a Thursday and first could not find a place to park. I had to go find a spot up the road in a neighborhood. I sat at the bar and was greeted after I had to ask if I could eat food at the bar. They were friendly. You could tell they were busy and a bit of chaos trying to manage the lunch crowd yet the place was not packed. I ordered the chicken tacos and they arrived 25 minutes later. :( I kept checking in to see when it would be ready and they were apologetic and said soon. By the time I got them I had to run like a bat out of hell back to my car so I could get back to a class I needed to attend. Then I had to torture my classmates with the smell of amazing smoked chicken but apologized as I scarfed down my food in class. The chicken with corn and slaw fixins and tortilla was amazing. The other sides of slaw and potato salad was also yummy. Fix some of the lunch execution issues and this is a 5 star place to visit.

The best wings in town... Period! Service is a bit slow... Due to the fact that my mouth is drooling from the time that I think about the food, until it is in my mouth!

ate here this past friday at the Tomato Festival.... the wings were tender, but lacked in the flavor dept.... got the bacon mac and cheese and it tasted like it was cheese sauce from a can. could have done better in my opinion.

You won't find a better Smoked Chicken Food truck in the Nashville area. I recommend the thigh meat, done in a pile, with a side of bacon mac and cheese, but you shouldn't go wrong with other choices either. Great food, great service at a decent price. Seek them out for sure!

I had thigh meat "in a pile" (chopped) hot&sweet with pineapple topping. It was a solid combo. Great owners; food truck assoc members, so support em!

Now that I know Smokin Thighs food truck camps at Tobacco Road Nashville every Tuesday night, I think I'll make more frequent trips down there. The ordering process is very easy. You pick either 2 thighs, 8 wings, or 3 legs meal, style (on the bone, in a pile, or with Texas toast), sauce (hot & sweet, perfectly awesome, gringo good, or dry rub), and add a topping for 50 cents each. You can also add a side for $2.50 and a drink. I had 8 wings-on the bone-perfectly awesome with pineapples and diced tomatoes and a "freshly made Kool-Aid" for $10.00. The wings were very good, but they should be cooked a little longer. It was a very hot day so I guess the guy just want to get away from the grill as soon as he could. He was sweating like he just took a quick shower with clothes on. The "perfectly awesome" was pretty spicy but I could taste all of the flavors. I'm not so crazy about the so-called "freshly made" Kool-Aid...it tasted cheap (well it costed 75 cents) and probably came out of a can. Did he mean "freshly poured out of a can"? Expect a 10-15 minutes wait time because there is only one person cooking the food. I would come back when this truck is around TRN. Definitely avoid the Kool-Aid next time. 2013/#55

This is by far my favorite food truck that I've tried while in Nashville. The bacon mac and cheese is fantastic and I'm a big fan of the different options you have to top it. Their chicken has an amazing smoked flavored and love the option to get it on or off the bone. They don't have the fastest service but its worth every minute of the wait. I would recommend to stop and get some of their chicken anytime you see them parked. Check twitter and the Nashville Food Truck Association app to find out where they are!

We stumbled upon this place our first night in Nashville and it turned out to be our best food here. The BBQ chicken wings were large, delicious, cooked perfectly. The mac n cheese and baked beans also as good as it gets. The service was fast and friendly. You can't go wrong here.

One of my favorite food trucks in Nashville!!! The smoked chicken is so freakin tender! Like it really melts in your mouth! It's juicy, seasoned well, and just that freakin good... The service is up to par and the wait is about the same as most food trucks approx 5-8 mins... But it's worth it even if longer!!!

  • Pamela H.

I give them a 5 for the food, which is absolutely delicious, and a 1 for charging me an extra $2.00 to get the kid-sized meal (yes, it's on the menu - doesn't make it right). I've been there 3 times now, and as good as that Perfectly Awesome chicken pile is, it is too much food for most women to eat. So this time I went and got the kid-sized meal, which was the perfect amount for me, but I don't think I should pay an extra $2.00 to get the exact same meal that a child would get. There were no extra bells or whistles given that would justify that upcharge, and there are plenty of places that allow adults to order from the kids menu at no extra charge, simply because they feel we shouldn't have to order more food than we can eat.

I got the chicken on Texas toast and it was outstanding. All the sauces have great flavor and heat of you want it! All the sides, especially the Mac and cheese and baked potato salad, are great!! Must must must come in here! Drink specials and gotta try all the different moon shine!

Awesome food, vibe, and service. Beer selection is great--as is their happy hour. Decor is fun and the whole place is scrupulously clean. Not much for wings personally but love the chicken burgers and sides.

I am in the carnival / fair business. I am working an event very close to this establishment and others have told me to try it out. So I went there for lunch had a great experience. Great food & friendly server. I went back there that evening with about 30 of my coworkers. Besides our group, there were three other people in the bar. ( yes 3 on a Monday evening ) We all had a minimum of two drinks and everyone had appetizers and or dinner. I don't think there was a bill below $30 per person. We had a good time and everybody was mild mannered. After most of us have paid our checks we realized he had added 18% gratuity on everyone's bill. He then proceeded to tell us, He only added 18% because we worked at a carnival. He also added, that if he had to make a living off of people like you ..( carnival people ) that he would rather shut down. Our bill was at least $1000 that night. We were all blown away by his comments and then even more blown away when we realized that he was the owner of the establishment. I am in town for six days and I planned on going there every single day. Now not only will I not be back but we are not allowing any of our employees to set foot in there. If you want an enjoyable meal and good drinks this is a place to go, but if you want to deal with a person who treats his customers the way he treated us please find another establishment in Nashville. I know we will be for the rest of the week. Yes , I am in the carnival business , but I am no different than any other customer who enters any establishment. It's very sad that we were treated this way, men, women, all trying to enjoy theirselves. No one was drunk , obnoxious or even 1 decibel over your average patron. This is by far the rudest owner of any business I have ever seen. This is coming from a fellow yelped who loves food and travels the country enjoying it! Thanks for reading

Just got done eating a wonderful take out lunch from Smokin Thighs. New digs are really fun and inviting. Staff (Tanner at bar, etc) were enthusiastic and helpful. Owner was there and joined in conversation telling us about food and drink menu. Felt really comfortable there. Now for the eats...yum comes to mind. Had the pile high chicken with the hottest sauce they had. My mouth still has a nice tingle. Not too hot, just right. great taste. Also tasted the chicken sandwich on Texas toast. Really tasty, but I am going to stick with the non ground menu items cause they were just so darn good! Now for the treat, the sides. We had slaw, baked beans and oh my god potato salad. Fabulous. It far surpassed my expectation on taste and creativity, esp for a newly opened restaurant. I highly recommend to anyone who likes chicken. Can't wait to head back and try a unique cocktail. Welcome to the neighborhood Smokin Thighs!

Smoking Thighs has it figured out. Great food, great service. The wings are some of, if not the, Best in Nashville. Anytime I'm near the truck I have to stop. Love it!

  • Anne F.

Smokin' Thighs is one of the newer food trucks in town, but don't let that stop you from tasting their chicken. You can order wings, thighs or legs from the truck - either on the bone or "in a pile" (the easiest way to eat them). They can be tossed in a range of mild to spicy sauces and then topped with a plethora of items at 50 cents a piece. I got the "thighs in a pile" with "perfectly awesome" sauce topped with pineapple. It was delicious. My tab came out to $8.50. After I ate it though, I needed something to drink (spicy!), so I forgo another $1 for a water. Smokin' Thighs is out and about just about everywhere in town right now, so they shouldn't be hard to catch. And we all know that a beer from Jackalope or Yazoo would perfectly pair with this chicken. Go give Matt a chance and enjoy some Smokin' Thighs!

Wings taste great and has a great smokey flavor. The guy was kind of jerk during the ordering process but was kind enough to remember to bring my friend a topping that he forget to put on 15 minutes later.

True to its name, the first thing that hit me when I tore into the thighs was the smokiness. And then the juiciness. I know dark meat is usually more tender than white meat (which I loathe), but this was truly exceptional. Considering that the skin is my favorite part on chicken, it's rare that a place made me forget that there wasn't any on my order. You get the choice of legs, thighs, or wings. I think the wings come with skin -- I only asked about the thighs, which do not. Not sure what the different styles meant -- I had whole pieces and didn't ask for Texas toast. I had the mac and cheese, since the potatoes weren't available. I didn't grow up with mac and cheese, either in a box or homemade. This version wasn't drowning in cheese and had real bacon mixed in. The mac and cheese was piled on top of the chicken, rather than in a separate container. Really tasty. It is a bit pricy if you're not used to gourmet truck pricing. And there was only 1 person working the truck (that I could tell), so the wait was probably longer than I expected.

April 24, 2013 This was my first visit and I had the dry rub wings and the bacon mac & cheese. The wings were some of the best wings I have ever had. The wings were nicely seasoned and had a pleasant, but not hot bite. The skin had a nice char and a taste that made me hunt through the serving box for every last piece that fell off while I was eating. The mac & cheese was not drowning in cheese sauce and not over cooked. The mac & cheese was really good but what made this so good was the heaping portion of real bacon that topped it. The bacon had a perfect crunch and was plentiful enough to mix in with the mac & cheese and have plenty enough for bacon in every bite. My bill came to $10.25. Ya, you can find wings cheaper elsewhere but you can't get these flavors. Their portions were appropriately sized for their prices. It was raining and I went early so there was no line. This is good food and would be worth waiting in line for. The only drawback was the serving container. It is a bit flimsy if you have far to travel to where you sit down and eat.

If you like smoked, this is a good place to go. Great favors. Awesome prices. Plus they have 2-for-1 drink specials that they provide tokens for. So if you just want one beer, you can save the token and cash in on your free beer another day.

Coming into my first experience at Smokin' Thighs I had heard about how good the Mac and Cheese is along with a couple entrees. After finally getting a chance to come here and eat, I was pretty surprised. The inside is nice and air conditioned with lots of TVs. The outside patio is pet friendly and cozy especially on a night with good weather. I ordered the chicken tacos, they were more than delicious and actually very filling for only being 2 tacos. The servers are very nice and seem to help out and be fairly quick with most of the orders. Definitely worth a trip to eat!

I crave these wings. I get the dry rubbed which is actually Tones Cajun Seasoning which is used by a lot of restaurants. It's especially good on these wings. I popped in today. Grabbed a quick beer and got them to go. Morgan was cute, fun, attentive and helpful. To me that's excellent service. I'll save my 2for1 beer chip for My next visit.

Was looking forward to trying out this place... HOWEVER never got a chance to because the service was too slow. Sat at the bar for 10 mins waiting for my order to be taken. Never got around to me. I left. Not sure that I'll be back.

Chicken burgers were pretty good. Wings were disappointing and had rubbery skin although we liked the Asian persuasion, gringo and awesome sauces which weren't bad. The ones with the medium/mild dry rub tasted like nothing. Sides were okay. Mac and cheese was too sweet and not enough savory/salty for my liking due to the pimento. Potato salad and chili weren't bad...just meh. Happy hour though is great. Two for one on ALL drafts are a great deal. They do the poker chips so you can come back. Their craft brew selection isn't very large but has enough to satisfy most hipsters. Service was good for being crowded but it was awkward at first. Weren't sure if we ordered first or had someone seat us. We sat ourselves and they just came by. Parking can also be a pain since the lot is small and tight. We ended up parking on a side street in a neighborhood and it could get dangerous crossing the street since there is no cross walk. Wall of TVs makes it a good spot to watch a game. Because it is a small spot, it can get really loud and it was hard to hear...it was shout at out server loud.

I wanted to dig this restaurant, but it just didn't happen for me. I have heard a lot of great compliments about Smokin' Thighs, but I've just decided it may not be for me. We came in on a slow night, and grabbed our seat ourselves. They didn't have much staff because of this, so customer service was just ok. My fiancé and I shared the wings and their chicken nachos. By far the nachos were the best. We also had a side of the bacon macaroni and cheese, and it was unfortunately cold. I was really looking forward to this legendary mac n' cheese, but the taste was off and just wasn't as good with it being cold. It was oddly sweet, too. For me, it's just meh. But I'll acknowledge that it's amazing for others.

10 STARS if they were available! I almost don't want to write a review for fear this place will become so busy and so successful that it will change. But this is a MUST DO if you are in Nashville!!! The BEST Smoked Chicken we have ever had anywhere!!!! Great Service! Great Drinks! Not too big or small, not too noisy, great patio!!! WE LOVE IT!!! And this will be one of our frequent places to eat...we followed a Maserati into the parking lot. The Texas Toast Chicken Thigh Meal w/Perfectly Awesome Sauce was AWESOME!!! The Baked Beans were the best I've ever had, the Potato Salad was to DIE FOR, the Bacon Mac & Cheese was delish!!!! This place ROCKS!! Stay JUST the way you are!

Stopped in when I was in the neighborhood looking for a house. I got the smoked chicken nachos with a side of baked beans and corn, and they were fantastic! The flavor of the sauce was perfect, with just enough kick. I opted to have the tacos without the ranch sauce, due to the fact that I'm lactose intolerant. I was served by Frankie J, and he was super friendly and attentive. He even offered me a to-go cup of the half-and-half iced tea (the perfect mix of sweet and unsweet). I will definitely be back!

This place has some of the best chicken dishes I have had. Order you some chicken, add rub or sauce choice, drop some toppings on it and then stuff da face! Great choice of TN drafts and legal moonshine. Definitely will be coming back!

  • Emily C.

This is a really solid restaurant choice. I got chicken tacos, and they were pretty tasty. I felt there was a little too much BBQ sauce, and I tasted more sauce than I did meat or slaw. To me, a sauce should compliment the thing it's on, not overtake it. So, while these were solid tacos, I think they could be much better. The bacon mac and cheese was great. The cheese sauce wasn't gritty or too liquid-y, the noodles didn't disintegrate and the BACON was so good. It was like good, real bacon rather than crumbled up bits of pre-cooked bacon or fat bits. Really great combo!

I had the texas toast and chicken thigh meal with the perfectly awesome sauce. It was delicious! I really enjoyed the semi spicy kick! It was just right for me. My brother had the wings and they were cold, but still very tasty. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was very professional!

I heard a lot of hype about this restaurant so I was really excited to try it. I think I may have just ordered the wrong thing. I got the Cuban style Chicken burger, with a side of the dumplings and the mac and cheese. The Burger itself was a little bland, and the rest of the toppings didn't really mesh that well, it may just be my personal taste buds, but I didn't care for it. The dumplings were a little bland and soupy for my taste, the mac and cheese however was enjoyable, and was definitely the best part of the meal. The waitstaff was very nice and personable. The waitress was happy to answer all of my questions, and was very knowledgeable. They have a very extensive drink menu, although I did not try the drinks (it was 11am and I was by myself). On my next visit I will definitely try one of their moonshine offerings. The inside of the building was very nice, great decoration and a lot of flat screens, I'm sure it would be a great place to catch a game. All in all, I would definitely give it another shot. I wasn't that impressed with what I chose, but I'm sure there are other items that I would love. A friendly staff can always save a place like it did in this case! I will update review upon next visit.

If you like spicy, smoked, barbecue chicken and beer, your Shangri-La awaits in Wedgewood. There's a lot of good looking food on the menu, but for the chicken enthusiast, I have to recommend the 'Thighs in a Pile.' It boneless, smoked, chopped chicken that you get to sauce and top the way you want. I went for the hot and sweet sauce and I forewent the toppings since I wanted to sample the purity of the saucy chicken: ha! If you like really saucy barbeque chicken--which I do--you are going to love this place. The 'pile' also comes with 2 sides, so I went for the bacon mac 'n cheese and the roasted corn. Both were really good and complemented the sweetness of the chicken. Finally, beers are buy 1 get one free most of the time from what I can tell, and they have a nice selection of local stuff and tall boys are $5 for 2. Did I mention the 8 TVs lining the wall? Great place to catch a game. I recommend!

Visiting a friend in Tennessee and he brought us to this place. The place was packed and luckily we found a take hidden in the corner! But it was loud, don't take a data there!! You'll have to yell over each other. They have a bar and a place to eat outside. A good sign this place would have descent fits, few items on the menu! We ordered the thigh on Texas toast, with mozzarella cheese and mushrooms, two sides: bacon Mac and cheese and potato salad. Next entree wings on bone, two sides: smoked chicken beans and corn. Lastly a side salad, which basically was tomato, mozzarella/cheddar cheese on top of lettuce... Don't recommend it. Texas toast checker was yummie, I would definitely order that again. Forget the wings, want anything special. Their sides though were awesome. The beans, oh man, the BEANZ! Then again I love beans, so I'm biast. Next time I'd get the black bean burger because I make a mean buffet and is like to seer if theirs is any good. We also got the nacho chicken dip, it was HOT but a delicious bite each time. Overall good place to eat, ambiance doesn't cater to conversation but nice hang out spot.

Went here last night at 7 and the place was packed. We had a group of 9 and the waitress relocated one couple to another table so that they could push another nearby table next to the one recently vacated by the other kind party. As we sat down, our waitress notified us that a group of 30 had gotten there right before we did and the kitchen was backed up so it could take a while to get our food. It wound up taking about 45 minutes but the waitress was on top of our beers so the wait wasn't really a problem. The best part about Smokin Thighs is the beer specials. They have 2 for 1 all day every day on some beers and 2 for 1 on many other beers between 2 and 8 pm. This makes them, at most, $3 each which is a great price for Nashville. Plus, it's not 2 beers delivered at the same time. Instead you get a token that you can redeem any time, even another visit. I'd come back just to sit on the patio and have a couple of beers. For the food, it was good but not great. For the price, I expected more food and a little better quality. They described their wings as jumbo but they were just the standard wing size. We ordered half Asian Persuasion sauce and half of their hottest sauce, which the waitress assured us was very hot. The flavor of both were good but we didn't detect any heat at all, which kind of bummed us out. We also ordered the pile of thighs topped with pineapple and bacon, with the awesome sauce (again, absolutely no heat). There was a generous topping of pineapple and bacon on the juicy chicken and it was really tasty. I'd order this again. For the sides, we got chicken chili and bacon mac and cheese. Both were good but they come in a tiny 2 oz cup so it's really more of a sample than a side. My husband said next time he'd just order the bowl of chili. All in all, it was a good experience and we'd come back but there are so many other restaurants in Nashville that we want to try, a place has to really wow us to get a second visit before we've tried everything else, so it'll probably be a while before we get back to Smokin Thighs.

Very friendly staff and environment. Minimal wait time and excellent food / service. Would definitely recommend to others. Loaded nachos are exceptional, as well as the Mac and the loaded potato salad.

I really wanted to like this place because I appreciate south Nashville businesses and restaurants, but this place did not live up to the reviews. The food was bland. Both of us had burgers that we could easily have made better at home. Plus, the service was slow and unfriendly. The bright side was that the draft beer was cheap ($5.50 for 2 drafts), but I'd still recommend taking your service elsewhere.

This is a really good lunch place. We had the chicken wings and they were very tasty. It's a bit of a trek from downtown so it's more of a local place rather than tourist place.
