Definitely one of my favorite bars in Nashville! The bartenders are energetic and willing to hold a smile on a shitty night! Which I know is a hard thing to do! So props to you guys! Great atmosphere, Fast drinks, diverse crowd! All around great bar!

Sunday, May 18th, Tony and I decided to go over to the Vanderbilt area and bar crawl or bar hop..whatever you want to call it. We have seen this bar a few times and pasted it many times, so we decided to stop here. We went inside, they just opened at 11am. Albert greeted us. He was so very nice. We ordered a PBR and a soda for only $4.50 with tax. This place is larger inside than it looks and the outside is very large. The patio is large with an outside bar with plenty of large tables. The place is very cozy. They have a private parking lot in the back but it is small. The outside area is really nice with trees in the patio area to give you shading. They also have some outside tvs mounted even one near the corn hole playing area. The feel of the whole area is like you are in a cozy outdoor backyard somewhere enjoying time with your friends and having a beer. I liked it a lot. We didn't eat here but the menu was really nice. The prices good and the menu had a large selection, we were still full from breakfast I made. We both agreed this place was definitely a four star and we will definitely be back to enjoy some tacos or pizza...Can't wait to try this place again..if you are in the Vanderbilt area...it's a must stop..Albert is very friendly!!!

If you're under 21 and have no standards as to where you spend your money, this is your spot! Door guy was incredibly rude to people who weren't half-clothed. Find a spot that respects adults and he money they have to spend.

My favorite bar in Nashville! Met my boyfriend there and we go every weekend now! Great drinks at good prices and also have good bushwhacker! Always crowded with great live music! Have an outdoor bar as well as several in door bars. Only thing is that the line for the bathroom gets really long!

Let me first start off by saying that i ABSOLUTLELY love this place. This is my bar! Looking for a good drink? looking for a grea meeting area or somewhere just to hang out and have a damn good time for the right price? REBAR!! My fav~ BUSHWACKER! Get it! and the bartenders are really nice. A great establisment! I am on my way there now!

It's a great place to have a drink and listen to live music outside on a weekend night. There are lots of tables both inside and out... but I prefer outside as long as it's not 125 degrees and humid. The service is a little hot and cold. During 1 visit, i had been outside sitting for 15 minutes without service and finally went inside to the bar (which is not at all a problem) but 2 minutes after sitting back down had a waitress come over and seem annoyed that I had gone inside. Maybe she was just having an off night? Anyway, the prices are pretty average for drinks... the shots seems a little more expensive that normal. Parking, like anywhere in the Division area, is kind of a CF.

DART BOARDS!! Big porch with out side bar.. BushWackers yes please.. Good tunes on.. I like this bar.. Some times though it is crazy packed..Not somewhere you go to have a convo.. Somewhere you go to drink....

  • Heidi G.

The bar, the friendly, out-to-please and easy-on-the-eyes bartenders, the Bushwhackers, the live music, the indoor-outdoor seating options, the location are all as good as it gets! "Woohoo!" is right! Down side, parking is a challenge. Pay the $10 bones to park next door on the weekends (unless you get there real early before the troll starts collecting! (lol) Less I think on weekday nights. Plan to walk a ways or get a cab or ... get lucky and get a great spot right on the street! Any way, the place does have the potential to get packed some nights which is why I plan ahead where Rebar is concerned and get there early enough for some descent real estate on the patio. Did I mention their Bushwhackers???

    (5)
  • James B.

Cool chill spot. The front patio is ideal for nice warm evening. Not too loud, so if you wanna have a conversation, you can. I would recommend as a great chill spot!

This was my second trip to Rebar and Kelsey (I hope I am spelling her name right) made me a darn good martini! It was happy hour so I got a double, perfect for a mini celebration! It came out to $11 total for a double martini and double Jim Bean. Not bad, right?? So normally I don't hang in the Music Row area, mostly because I work there and don't want to stare at my office and think about work. Out of sight out of mind right? That's me. We ended up at Rebar because my main squeeze participated in the Noshville hot dog eating competition, 2nd place yo! After he needed some whiskey to cut through the 4.5 hot dogs he ate in 4 minutes. I was sweating looking at him. The whiskey did it's best and the bartendress was friendly and sweet! I've never been to the Losers or Winners next door so I can't say how it stacks up but I was happy with my experience. I keep reading, I think in the scene that one of these is a music industry hang out, not sure which one but I didn't see anyone famous, not that I was really looking. In a nutshell it's a decent place to spend happy hour off of Music Row and overall gets a solid 2.5 stars.

It's a crowded bar for when you've been bar hopping all night and are already really drunk. This place is packed on a weekend. There's also a dance floor, but most people tended to crowd the floor and stand still. This bar would be OK if you brought a large group of friends.

    (3)
  • Natalya O.

This is the kind of bar you need to show up to all ready drunk to enjoy. Considering I was sober when I showed up, I'm giving them three stars for potential. End your night here. Or that pizza place right around there. Yeah. I'd go with the pizza place.

    (3)
  • Coolinary C.

We don't know when it happened, but rebar is suddenly cool now. It's because cool people come here. And there is a heated porch. And they split bushwhackers three ways.

    (5)
  • Nathan F.

I must say that rebar is my favorite Nashville bar. The "3" times I have been to Nashville (not counting trips as a kid) this has been a must stop place. The staff is super friendly, the drinks are nice and strong and what other place has a dump truck of loaded fries! In a packed bar it took less than a minute to get our drinks ordered and only a couple min later (the time it took to pour 4 bushwackers) we had our drinks and were sitting by the fire. At most any bar I don't expect for a server to come ask us how we were doing but twice we were checked on to see if we needed anything else. If I wasn't a tourist and had other bars to see I could have spent all night here.

Great for happy hours and day drinking! Bushwhacker frosty alcoholic drink is yummy! Shuffleboard and darts!! Large patio area. Only let down was smoking allowed inside

  • Lindsay W.

I was a little skeptical at first. We visited when it was raining and so everyone was crammed inside and the patio was nearly empty. Inside was a little too packed for comfort. Although once the rain let up people started moving back outside to the patio. Had a couple bushwhackers. So yummy! Overall, good place to go with some friends for a night out.

  • Patrick H.

"Hey dude?? Let's go to Rebar man! You know just a couple of dudes just hanging out, have a couple of PBRs and do whatever comes natural." Yeah...that's my review on Rebar. Thank you.

    (2)
  • Sheena T.

I like Rebar alright, but something about it doesn't call me back again and again... Part of it is that they allow smoking inside and I've been twice during Winter. I just hate the smoke! But I really like that they offer one of my favorite slushy alcoholic milkshakes, the Bushwacker. Yum. They have a juke box that is fun to play tunes on and various games to partake in (like pool and shuffleboard) while you are hanging out with friends. They have a lovely outdoor patio and maybe I've just got winter blues and will be happier at Rebar once the weather turns warm!

  • Brandon H.

I was here on a Sunday afternoon also. It was a bar hopping day. This place was pretty cool with a nice patio. The fries come out in the bed of a toy Tonka truck which is different.

Really fun place! Was there for a pre-wedding party and we had a great time. Drinks and service were awesome.

It's a dive, but it's a fun dive! Have been several times and have always had great service - even when jam-packed. Totally low key, plus you can walk right to Winners and Losers if you want to bar hop. We had a group of 16 and the accomadated us perfectly. Will be going back!

Nice place! I love the vibe and the people! They also have the air conditioning on which is awesome! The patio, darts and cornhole are fun to!

  • Stacey L.

A bar full of friendly people! We were welcomed from our first step into the bar to our last. The bartender (Albert, I think) was incredibly friendly and even shook the hands of everyone in my group. He gave us samples of their version of the bushwacker for free! After each getting a full one, we sat down in front of their cozy fire. It was a Sunday night, so the place wasn't very busy. We enjoyed watching a rowdy group over by the dart boards.... People watching is so much fun. Eventually the group meandered past us to go outside and struck up a conversation. Everything about this place is welcoming! I would love to go back and see what this place is like when it is busy. I imagine a room full of friendly drunks that all love each other.. a little too much!

    (5)
  • David G.

I really don't see the fascination with Rebar. Dive bars are a dime a dozen and to stand out you've got to excel in at least a few things. The service is pretty slow, which is understandable considering how slammed this place gets. You'll find yourself pretty cramped inside on the weekend. The layout of this place doesn't really help this problem - every room feels more like a narrow corridor. I just don't like having to say "excuse me" fifteen times when I'm on the way to break the seal. I have a few goods things to say though! The pricing is about average for the midtown area, which isn't bad. You'll also find that Rebar keeps a constant, heavy flow of customers, which shows they do SOMETHING right. I just can't figure out what that is, exactly.

  • Heather H.

Having spent several hours on the patio here last weekend, I definitely give this place a big thumbs up. They had live music outside that was good, but not so loud you couldn't have conversations. The waitress was attentive, the bar staff friendly, and the bathrooms clean. We shared several buckets of Yazoo Dos Perros with some local Nashvillians we befriended, and all in all just had a lovely time here.

I have never been treated so rudely in my life. Be aware that the bouncers at this location are off duty cops with a boner for a power trip. I was the sober friend, driving everyone around, when one of the bouncers at this facility decided to chew me out for standing under a tent that was "reserved for the owners." So, being the understanding and polite person I am, I moved away from the tent, only to be informed a few minutes later that I was being rude and standing in the "wrong area" adjacent to the tent. I was then threatened. I do not know how a place like this stays in business with people, such as the ones that were so demeaning to me. Just because it is a bar, does not mean that every person there is drunk and misbehaving. I feel like this place is way over-rated.

  • David H.

Giving this a 3 star review. I didn't eat here only had drinks so I can't really make a huge review. Not. Marking down because I thought it was bad or anything. I will say that I was entertained by the chick hitting on the bartender. I don't think he was interested so she proceeded to get smashed to the point of telling him he was a fag and didn't know what he was missing... right before she fell on the floor knocking herself out momentarily. Awesome. I love sports bars. Pool tables, dart boards, a cozy fireplace and best of all... drunken hoochies.

    (3)
  • Mary F.

Holy dive bar!! Filled with young drunk people and super smokey, but it is a bar ladies. Dart boards a plus and good strong drinks. Bathrooms are a hot mess as expected. Bartenders super friendly and attentive. Huge patio, a big plus for fall nights, but like I said before cigarette city.. If your looking for somewhere to have a drink where nobody cares what your doing or how you look this is the spot.. Great end your night hammered spot. Lol. Would definitely go back..

  • German A.

Ran into it last night while walking away from the Vaunderbilt University. The alcohol was cheap and bartenders were always nice, except for one male. We asked him what he recommends here to drink, since it was our first time and he said I don't know. I thought that was very rude and he said if we do not keep our tab open, it was going to be a dollar extra. Who does that? Other than that, the alcohol was cheap and the the environment was nice. They have a few open spaces that nobody really sits on there, they should maybe add some beer pong tables for students to enjoy themselves and can potentially bring more business into the bar!

Love this bar! Love the bartender Gina. She makes the Orange Crush to perfection. Nate is so friendly. Everyone is so great! And the atmosphere is so much fun. Great music and great games. Love!

  • Kara B.

I like this bar a lot. It's full of really cool and fun people, the patio is great especially in the summer when it's fully open. The bartenders are not the friendliest but otherwise this is a great spot to go

Great bar. Lots of room and lots of entertainment, be it darts, pool, Tri-Ominos (I had a flashback to my childhood), and I believe a MegaTouch game system or two. Albert, our bartender was very friendly and explained their version of the Bushwhacker ($6.50); he even let us sample it. We of course walked away with full sized versions and sat by the very toasty fire whose mantle is covered by tons of bottle caps. I found the Tri-Ominos on the mantle and had my wife take some silly pics of me with them. We chatted up some very nice guys and overall had a great experience. I am anti-indoor smoking so otherwise I would have given this place a 5th star. I wish it would have been warmer as the patio looks like a great place to enjoy an evening. I've never seen so many dartboards on a ceiling, I had to take a picture. Definitely stop by this bar for at least a drink or two.

What can I say? I like Skee-Ball and Rebar offers it up. Besides taking me back to my childhood at Chuck-E-Cheese, the robust patio and stiff cocktails are appealing. The "meat market" aesthetic = Not so much. I guess I can't really fault Rebar for some of the horribly cheesy and borderline horrific dudes who hang out here but when the bartenders do the same? Trust me when I say that I am a pretty friendly person who can banter with the best of them but come on fellas.... Tip: The Bushwhackers are the draw here as my crew proceeded to have a really fun time getting whacked.

Gay bar? That was my first thought. Then I walked in and I thought ok, it's decent. Shuffleboard, skeeball, darts..awesome. Then people started smoking......gross.

We walked by Rebar on our way to South Street and noticed people playing cornhole on the patio. Because of this we vowed to come back and check the place out later in the evening. We arrived around 9 on a Thursday night and the place was packed. We had a great time talking to locals at the bar. The crowd was a lively and interesting mix of people. The bartenders were great too. Chances are pretty good that I will be back to Rebar on my next trip to Nashville.

Don't order the top shelf margarita....it is $18 and served in a Plastic Cup. It is just a regular $8 margarita with a shot of $10 patron. My friend would have liked a little warning from the server.

You have no idea... JR made the best burger ever and accommodating of all requests... Seriously the man was a true gentleman and Scholar!!! Alex brought drinks as needed... After a rough night working in the hospitality industry this was so relaxing...

A fun place to hangout off broadway. Tends to draw a more younger crowd then that of broadway. They offer a great selection of drinks along with their famous bushwhacker. They have golden tee, skeeball, darts, and shuffle board if that is what you are into at bars. This place can get crowded around the bar area but can free up outside and in other sections of the bar. A go to if you are in the midtown area.

I am a Taxi Driver, and I just gave Ms. Rhonda the owner of rebar and her friends a ride. She was so rude and disrespectful. She kept calling my mum with bad names. I put them out of my car since she didn't respect me and my property. Maybe she never expected that I will write a review, but here I am writing an honest review about her and her 700 square feet bar.Don't recommend it to anybody. It is not the safest bar in mid-town area. It is the only bar in mid-town where shouting happened multiple times. There are a lot of better options like red door, brew house, rippy's, blue bar, losers and winners, and tippler. They all have better service and cheaper prices .

  • Sean H.

This place was so much fun! I'm sure last weekend's wonderful weather had something to do with it, but hanging out on the front patio area with friends, both old and newly made, was really pleasant. The drinks were fair, and I didn't mind the $10 credit card minimum. Also, the jello shots in syringes were pretty cool. I haven't done those since college. The inside was less amazing, but it was huge and the bathrooms were presentable enough. I definitely plan to return on my next trip down to Nashville!

DUDE REVIEW!!!!!! If you own salmon shorts, 70% polo gear, frat boy straps, shoes with tassels and/ or boat shoes, know all the Journey songs, have ruined at least 3 women's self esteems, had a slightly homo erotic experience with one of your Bro's, or got wasted at steeple chase, you will LOVE this place. I have been there 3 times now, and there is always a really high amount of really attractive women that are trying really hard to look like they are drunk and have nothing to say at all. For the women who like such gentleman as above described, go there! I promise you will get wasted on PBR and will undoubtedly find yourself being courted by quite a few gentleman. Big bonus, after you go home with him and he doesn't call you the next day, no worries, he will be at Rebar the next night! For the rest of you. It has a huge patio and a decent beer selection/ prices. I recommend it as a post work drink sort of joint with co-workers. Mostly because I am a huge slut for a patio.

  • Ashwin M.

So, you've got Patterson House leading the charge. Red Door brings up its formidable artillery and to keep the rabble happy, you have the twin clowns - Winners & Losers - doing tricks, slapping each other with balloons, etc. And then you have Rebar bringing up the rear, a place that feels like an afterthought, a place that you go to if you don't remember if your friends said Winners or Losers and you assumed that they would not be so jejune as to go to either and you stumble onto Rebar! There is nothing to complain about and nothing to praise either. It's in a good location, has an okay selection of booze, a pretty passable shuffleboard table (that could be better) and a decent crowd. People either start or end here, so the crowd peaks at 10ish and then at 2ish.

    (3)
  • Lindy B.

Strong drinks, great patio, diverse crowd, darts, corn hole, lots of room and tables. What else do you really need in a dive bar??

    (4)
  • Dom O.

Good bar. A volume only a bit above the regular college student groups around. We tried the wings which were pretty good but not memorable. The drinks and service were very good. Good service, nice drinks, and good atmosphere. Apparently we were a little louder than the dozens around us and asked to keep it down? Really? This place is average at best. Nothing above the dozen other bars next door.

  • Kimberly M.

I went on a Thursday night, it's a chill bar with a laid back crowd and friendly locals. Not too packed, but enough of a crowd that I had plenty of people to talk to. I love the dart boards!! So much fun! I give it a three star because it's nothing to complain about but nothing to rave about either. I will definitely be back for my next TN trip though.

  • Jeremy E.

I dig this spot, especially when it's warm because they have a great patio. Staff is generally very cool and friendly and they have some good beers, although no draughts. It's in a great area and makes a nice stop if you are barhopping midtown.

  • Dan G.

Went here after the early NFL games on a Sunday to sit outside on the patio. Ended up staying through the crowd changes as "kids" (College) swamped the place until 8-9ish playing cornhole, watching NFL games on the outdoor patio and taking advantage of the Happy Hour which lasted till 10PM. We were definitely the old farts (although only in late 30s) until around 8ish when they started heading out. Definitely some meathead frat boys there who thought they were professional wrestlers (included the off-duty security people as well) - kinda of shocked that the place allowed this to occur but boy was it entertaining. Good HH specials on select drinks but pricey bushwackers & food was blah bar food. Had lots of games inside (shuffleboard, darts, skee ball, pool, etc.) & good HH hence the 3 stars.

So Rebar is right there in the strip of bars in Midtown beside Winner's and Loser's. If you had asked me a couple of weeks ago I would have said that it was closed or was close to closing because, from the outside, it seemed desolate. So imagine my surprise when I walked in late on a Friday night to find that the place was absolutely JAMMED with people on the inside. Really, how come I have never talked to a single person who has been here yet it was so packed it seemed like everyone in Nashville was there? Mystery. Despite the crowd, we managed to score a seat at the bar. We managed to get a drink from one of the friendly lady bartenders and the drinks were made the way I like them - strong! The crowd was really all over the board but it seemed like there was a reasonable contingent of above-college age persons there. While I hate to admit it, that's the age bracket I should probably be hanging with....and while I don't normally hang with my age bracket, it was a pleasant change of pace. Plus I felt as though I was getting checked out by numerous guys as soon as I walked in. Either that or I had something in my teeth. But whatever, I felt like they were checking me out so I liked it a lot! haha It seems that there are a few nooks and crannies here for your party needs. There has to be a stage somewhere because I hear they have karaoke on Friday nights. The front patio is large so maybe if it ever fucking stops snowing I can sit out there and tell you how it is. Overall I was pleasantly surprised and I plan to give it another couple of visits in the future. At the very least we can put it on our Midtown barhop rotation.

Friendly bar tenders. Nice outdoor area covered and WITH HEATERS for those chilly nights. Decently priced drinks, music was loud enough to enjoy but also carry on a conversation. A nice spot to come with friends.

This place is extremely overrated. Just yuppie college kids and pool tables. It's not a dive, just your average overcrowded college bar. Two stars for the bushwackers,.

  • Craven M.

Fun place to grab a cocktail and hang outside. Service was good, bartender went out his way to get me an IPA from the back. Much appreciated. Place has a cool vibe on the inside, somewhat divey, but that's good. Seem to me that everyone there was having a good time. Staff was on point and friendly and the beer was ice cold. Will be back.

I had my first Bushwacker here (Is that how I spell it!?) Thus, I will always associate this place with the discovery of the wonderfully sweet and creamy adult beverage! Bushwackers aside, I love Midtown and I love Rebar! Here are my thoughts! Pros! -Reasonably priced priced drinks (vodka sprite is usually between 6-7) -Always have upbeat and current music playing -They are one of those bars that have random games inside which is always fun! Like giant Jenga and stffg! -The have a pretty spacious indoor area, but also a really nice patio area with seating and stuff. So when it gets stuffy inside you can go sit outside. AND its heated in the winter! -If you go here you will make friends! Every time I go I meet new people and have a blast! -It's not your stereotypical Nashville rowdy bar. Don't get me wrong, I love a rowdy bar, but sometimes you want something mellow to end out your night! Cons! -Sometimes it gets really smokey outside which can be annoying Conclusion....go drink a bushwacker :)
