We've been three times in the past couple of months and we've decided that it is really just hit or miss. We got the fried mushrooms the first time and they were amazing!!! The second time we went for them baked.....meh. Third time we went back to fried and received the wrong dipping sauce (once you've tried the sauce you'll understand why the wrong sauce is such drama!) and they seemed really full of water or something (but not grease). If I were to guess? They had been sitting in the walk-in for too long so the mushrooms absorbed a lot of moisture? We've had a pizza or two which were good (pricey!) and one or two of the pastas and everything is good. Service is interesting......it's never bad, but also never warm and fuzzy???...for lack of a better phrase!

I would have to say the advertised boneless wings should really be described as bites. The smallest I've seen, they are tasty but tiny. Also a small pizza is really a personal pan, 4slices. I was surprised but thankful that I had ordered a small pizza and a half order of wings with my partner for take out. The benefit of small portions is that I didn't feel badly having a scoop of homemade Icecream after this dining experience, or you could just head over to Menchies for a sweet treat post dinner.

Really good pizza. Me and my fiancée loved it. Ordered the Carnivore with fries. Awesome service as well.

Food: Ordered a "Greek" salad. It was pretty pitiful with just white chunks of what I think was romaine lettuce with some tasteless feta cheese and a lackluster dressing. I was excited to see they used kalamata olives instead of canned black olives but they tasted terrible! Just poor quality. I had the Herbivore pizza. The crust was okay and that's about all I can say about it. My friend had the Happy Family pizza and thought it was pretty good. Service: Our very young waiter was doing the best he could. He hasn't yet figured out how to make the most out of a trip from one area to another making service very slow. Restaurants just do not train wait staff very well at all anymore. Ended up spending too much money on mediocre pizza!

I don't know why people complain about slow service when it comes to new people. Everyone is new at some point, give them a break. The pizza is always really good, the quality is excellent for not being a super fancy place. The cost is a little on the high side, but you're really paying for the portions. The food is excellent and they always give you a lot. Their wings are to die for. I love this place and I'm soooo not a pizza person.

Typically really good pizza. Little expensive so we only get it every so often. This trip I had a coupon that I provided over the phone. When i picked up pizza, they informed me it was only for dine in. The guy said he would use it but only this one time. Little annoying that they didn't tell me that on the phone, but whatever.

WAAAAAY too over priced!! It's insane, then you think your getting quality food because it's so much but it's crap!

Tried to order a pizza from Pie in The Sky tonight in Lenox Village. They no longer deliver pizzas unless your order is over $20. Our order was going to be $15. Since the refused to deliver we ordered from Papa Johns for $11 and they delivered. When I called back to talk to manager to make sure I was understanding correctly, she proceeded to tell me that the GM makes the rules and she has no say so. Asked how they can expect to compete with other pizza joints in area (Amico's, Jets, Papa Johns, Pizza Hut etc)...told her that was bad business practice and we would like to support businesses within the village but this makes it difficult. She said if people decide to order elsewhere then that is their choice. SO that will be our choice from now on. I told her not only do they have poor service in dining area but now poor business practices for those that want to order pizzas from them for delivery. She said to make a complaint online if I wanted. Didn't even offer to have GM call me. While the pizza here is quiet good (better than Papa Johns, Pizza Hut etc) the service is typically really bad and customer service is non-existent. Very inexperienced staff that has no idea how to run a restaurant. It has been this way for at least the past 5 years. No improvement. Now with a minimum purchase of $20 required, don't expect to order just large pizza and have it delivered, even if you live less than a mile from the restaurant.

Just left this store and will never return as the food and service have fallen to new lows! After speaking with the manager he only confirmed for me that they really don't care about quality or service. So long as the place is packed with kids and parents who don't care then Pie will never find this patron there again. There are just to many better places that warrant my dollars. Too bad as Pie used to stand for both quality and service, apparently no more. Giving them a single star is way too much credit.

The service in the bar is bad on good days. The bartender used to be very good but he seems to have left and the woman they have now is possibly the worst bartender I've experienced. The food used to be great, then it went to good, these days it's wholly meh and more times than I like, I have to send it back to get warm food instead of cold. Maybe the other location is better but I'm sad that this once used to be one of my favorite hangouts and now I can't even get a decent rink there. If you have other options, take them.

A thirty minute wait for two sandwiches. And still one was missing one of the main ingredients, and the other was over-cooked. The restaurant is also overcrowded and messy. Maybe stick to the pizza (maybe?), and check your food.

Excellent! We'll be back to try the thin crust!

Went there with my daughter and was seated promptly. Waitress was nice. We were the only ones in there. When our food came out it was room temperature. I did not eat mine and my daughter ate very little of hers. I am hoping may be it was just an off day for them.

Started out great had a spiral breadstick it was great. They sat us promptly and took our order we had the familia pie which we waited way too long for and they almost served it to another table. Then the wait staff just disappeared - really. Just gone. No one filled drinks or brought us a box, nothing. I am watching the other tables no one has food they are all looking around? I took the 10 minutes plus we have been waiting for our waitress to come back to write this review. Honestly the pizza was not bad I liked it. But probably won't be back. The big window into the kitchen is cool but hey owners/management you gotta get some help and get faster faster in the kitchen. I know pizza takes a few but seriously. Not real happy with the price for what we had either. I probably won't be back.

Went here with a few friends for a surprise bridal shower the other night. I think I was coming from the wrong way on Nolensville because it took me forever to actually find where it was. Mostly my own fault though. Definitely sufficient parking and it says it has a 2 hour limit, but in talking to the hostess they basically never enforce it. The service here was really good. Our server, Leigh (I think), was really nice, checked back often, and was just an overall excellent waitress. We got the spinach and artichoke dip to start off, which was pretty good. But you get such a small amount of dip and then basically a pound of these chips to go with it, so I feel like there should be more dip to balance it out. We still had like half the chips left after the dip was gone. I opted for the small ultra thin crust Hawaiian pizza. Since I'm from the Chicago area, I'm kind of a pizza snob so I guess I can't really be a fair judge. I just thought it was alright. I've had far worse, but I've definitely had better. The sauce was actually pretty good, and tasted like it was made from scratch and not just out of a can, so that was a plus. The crust had more of a cornmeal flavor, whereas I prefer more of the flour type dough so it could just be personal preference. Overall, this is a pretty decent place but it wouldn't be my "go-to" pizza joint with all the other good options in town.

  • Jake A.

Good solid pizza! Second time I've been here and will definitely be back. Created our own pizza with pepp, spicy sausage, and roasted red peppers! Good overall flavor and quality. Got a few draft beers as well. A little pricy but not terrible.

    (4)
  • Simon C.

High priced pizzas and they are very average for the most part. The service is always hit or miss, and beer selection is very limited. The only way I eat pie in the sky these days is if it's pickup and even then you have to be willing to spend $20 after driving to pick it up. Wish something could be done to improve this place - seems to have gone downhill over the years.

  • Kaitlyn W.

Every time I come to Pie in the Sky I always enjoy it! The pizza is so delicious and the employees are kind! Our waitress was a sweetheart and she was on top of drinks and dirty dishes. After my awful experience at Chili's, I was impressed with the service here.

    (4)
  • Deanna S.

Decent food but overpriced. Service is hit or miss. 5 beers on draft. We've ordered Togo a few times but it always ends up being $35-$40 which stinks.(for a large pizza and cheesy bread.?Makes it hard to justify when you can order from somewhere else for less than $20. Last time we were there our server was too young to pour our beer, so each time we ordered one it would be ten minutes before it arrived at our table. Not impressed.

  • Dan Z.

Food was outstanding. Restaurant was short staffed as a result of weather (actually one of only a handful of places that were open in the city) and they did a great job with our meal. Just one star shy of perfect because our initial order was misplaced; however they made amends. Quality exceeded expectations. Outstanding pizza; getting hungry for more as I write this!

My favorite pizza spot in Nashville. I was a regular in the cool springs location but unfortunately they closed down. This location is just as good. I always get the Happy Family pizza and it never disappoints. What set them apart is the higher quality topping compared to other pizza joints.

  • Tim B.

I love sneaking away for lunch here. Their calzones are excellent and very filling. Big bonus....they have a bar! They are so much better than your fast food Italian places. The atmosphere is also very nice inside and out.

  • Jessica B.

Went later on a weekday night, so they were not very busy. I had bigger expectations about the place than I should have. I wanted to be surprised by the pizza and other offerings but I left disappointed. Service was okay and the pizza was average. I do like the fact they fresh toppings but there was almost an over abundance on our pizza. Sauce lacked flavor and the crust was nothing too spectacular. I wouldn't see myself going out of my way to eat here again, especially living so far away.

Ok so after a disappointing first time visit to Pie In the Sky Pizza, i decided to give them another try.... I ordered a pepperoni pizza and I must say IT WAS REALLY GOOD!!..my waitress was very polite and friendly! My last complaint was about how the cook was dressed but this time around he looked like a cook doing the damn thing! (that's a good thing!) I felt more relaxed or more so less cautious with my food this time around. Even though there were a decent amount of people in there, I didn't have to wait long for my order and the waitress made sure I was comfortable and my glass full! Sooo lesson learned, never judge a book by its cover or the first couple of pages the first time! Everyone has an off day...:) I will be returning!

I live right in Lenox so this place is one of those, "yeah, let's swing nearby for food" kind of places for me. The food personally hasn't ever blown my mind but it's of decent quality for a casual meal. I've ordered the same thing 3 out of 4 times I've visited here which is the Firecracker pasta. I personally love spicy food and in my experience, most "supposedly" spicy pastas in most Italian places aren't spicy enough for me and this one brings adequate heat. Their cocktails are pretty decent as well.

I wouldn't post as gluten free. Not celiac friendly. Can't even get a salad without croutons.

Had dinner with my husband here. We ordered their meat lovers pizza and their cheesy bread. I do not know what kind of bread they use but I did not like it. I was tough and chewy, had to do that whole bite and yank thing with it....cute.... The meat lovers was mediocre tasting. Nothing really stood out as delicious. The atmosphere is strange. The little lightning things everywhere? What are those? It is a majorly half-assed "space theme" I guess. Very bright lighting, boring cold interior. It's too bad because the porch seems kind of cute and the outside makes it look like it's going to be a really cute pizzeria inside. What a let down.

pretty good crust and sauce, but you pay for it. If you don't mind paying for good American style pizza, then check these guys out. close to work, so we sometimes go for lunch, never crowded (in fact the last 2 times there was a max of 3 tables) The Calzone is great, with even some leftovers.

I enjoyed my tiny pesto pizza, the fruit tea, and the great patio. Just not the price tag. I'm not against going back. But only if you are paying.

  • Greg S.

Pretty cool place. Very modern, industrial, kind of like a Starbucks look. Alot of kids, but obviously, it is pizza. For the price I would'nt take them here. Kids need to go to CiCi's. This place has the feel that its going for an upscale pizza parlor. But they have a full bar, big flat screens everywhere. The pizza in my opinion is nothing out of this world. They put a good price on a low quality pizza. Its not frozen pizzas. I can honestly say that I like Little Caesars is better. The salad selection isn't to bad. Very fresh. But for a nice place/location. I think it's a good addition for that part of town. Why not? I mean you got a Sushi place across the street, a mexican restaraunt in the same vicinity. Throw an expensive pizza joint in the mix.

    (3)
  • Rahel K.

I have been here 3 times because it is near where I live. I think the crust tastes like cardboard and it is WAY over-priced. But it is a good bar atmosphere with large screen tvs.

Disappointed in delivery service, customer service, and management. NOT RECOMMENDED, go to another place.

My rating is for the calzone - the pizza is more 3-star, but the calzone are delicious. The service is attentive, thought sometimes the food takes a little while (hey they get busy). Nice covered patio too. (the picture on this entry is not the Lennox Village site, as of this writing, so don't be surprised when you drive by)

  • John G.

I give them 2 stars for their pizza, but 4 stars for the rest of the menu. I, too, am not a big fan of the pizza here, and think the crust is way over rated. I think it is corn meal that they add, but whatever it is, I think it tastes gritty. I usually get the roasted chicken salad, and/or the Pestofredo Penne Pasta. These two things have always been good. I don't think the lasagna is very good, just FYI. I also like that they let me, uh... I mean my daughter, play with dough while waiting for the food. If it wasn't so close to my house I don't think I would go out of the way to come here.

Used to eat at this location years ago. Moved to townhome in Lenox Village so thought I would try again. Nothing has improved. Very dirty, slow service, ok pizza & no one cleaning tables for new customers coming in. Will not return.

  • Brad B.

2 for 1 on tap all time. yazoo, blue moon, cheap stuff. pizza prices are def higher than normal --- a large one topping pizza & spiral breadstick came to $24. a nice place to get a meal though -- well designed to keep the kids entertained while the food is prepared. kids enjoyed the dough bar and watching the cooks working. should have ordered the thin crust pizza -- the regular tends to come out as all crust (at least an inch wide). not the best pizza in SE Nashville -- Angelo's Picnic Pizza at Murfreesboro Rd/Bell Rd is still the standard -- but you have to like the drink specials and the atmosphere makes for a nice meal.

  • Lashona M.

I love pie in the sky but this location gets three stars. I'd rather eat at the one downtown. Although it is the same place, the crust taste better at the one downtown Nashville in my opinion. The location is a cute getaway spot though since it is close to my house.

We have been going to this restaurant since it opened, however it has been going downhill. Tonight was the last straw. After reviewing our drinks we were informed that they were out of mozzerella cheese. So we had to alter our order. We're then notified that one of the replacement items we ordered was 86'd as well. But the worst is before we left heard the cooks asking each other if they were really out of mozzerella and one said there was some put back in the back. As we were about to leave saw the cook making a pizza and then run to the back to grab some mozzerella . When I asked to speak to the manager she quickly tried to cover their tracks saying it was not mozzerella, never apologized or anything just said I did not know what I was talking about. We said it didn't matter that we would not be coming back and all she said was "oh, okay". And as we got in the car she was surrounded by all the employees talking about us. Anyway, they will not be getting any more business from us not anyone else we know.

Definitely will NOT be coming back here. We were here on 9/12/14 at around 6:30 p.m. Restaurant was only about half full, so you would expect to have fairly decent service because it wasn't busy. Wrong! Service was terrible. We were about to get up and leave after waiting almost 10 minutes to even be acknowledged by a waiter. We saw the manager realized no one had been to our table and we saw him ask a waiter if it was his table, so we decided to stay. Service never got any better. Waiter never checked on us after food came, we sat for 15 mins after finishing eating before he looked our way so we could flag him down for our check, etc. We asked to talk to the manager to let him know that we were very disappointed in our first experience. His response was, "I'm sorry, I'll talk to him. I hope we will see you again, but if not I understand." Really?!? That was it. Nothing to restore any satisfaction to the customer. Very disappointing. Wasn't looking for a free meal, in fact we had already paid before the manager came over, but I would have expected a more sincere response than that. Food - We ordered the Philly cheesesteak pizza and there was so much oil that it was puddled up all over the pan. Not just greasy coated, but actually puddles of oil on the pan. Flavor was ok, but not great. Sausage pizza was pretty good. We won't be going back or referring anyone to this place. Food was not good enough to make up for the terrible service.

Neat place, nice staff, decent food, but the pizza is not amazing. The dough has a good texture (thin, but not too crispy), but it is essentially flavorless. Have you ever had Johnny's New York Pizza (a large chain)? This pizza is very similar. Not bad, but very much not special at all. As others have noted, the specialty pizzas are ungodly expensive. A family can easily bust the $60 barrier.

Disgusting. Nothing but a pile of greasy, over seasoned mess. I really wanted to like them. Impossible. Overpriced garbage.

My wife and I stopped by for a late lunch on a Saturday. There were two servers on and the restaurant appeared to still be picking up the pieces from a busy lunch. We asked to be seated outside, and every table was either seated or covered in the garbage left behind by parents with kids or groups of people having several beers. We ordered drinks and then our food, and waited probably 20 minutes to receive one small, thin crust pizza and the firecracker penne pasta. The pasta was sufficiently al dente, but the sauce was certainly more sweet than anything else; although there was a fair amount of Italian sausage and pepperoni in the dish, there was nothing that would inspire me to label it as a "firecracker". As a plus, the sauce appeared to be legitimately scratch made, there were considerable chunks of reduced tomato, albeit canned. The pizza was covered in cheese and toppings and the thin crust was quite crisp and flaky, my wife was thoroughly satisfied, although did question the value of the size and price equation. Considering what she was being asked to do, our waitress did an admirable job, but we definitely had to wait a bit to both request and then receive the check. Shortly before we received our food, it appeared there was a management shift change or perhaps a visit from the owner, because both servers and the duty manager came out and began to clean the wrecked patio. Just after we received our food, the server taking care of the table behind us came out the door with enough force to lose the pizza tray he was carrying and he dropped half a pizza on the floor. His reflexes were fairly quick, but the damage had been done, and I had a front row seat for the reaction from the table and the subsequent interactions with the manager. The restaurant handled it well from what I could tell, even though one of the guests was a bit prickly. Food+drinks+service+tax for this experience equaled just shy of 40 bucks. Not the best value, at least not on the weekend I guess. In short, I've been to this location and the one in Cool Springs, and had been relatively satisfied in the past. This particular experience was lacking, but I will certainly give them another try if I feel like pizza.

You will never, ever leave here hungry. In fact, someone will probably have to roll you out to your car. Coming here pretty much ensures that you are going to eat your weight in food, and be absolutely thrilled about it. I have by no means tried everything on their menu, but what I have had was superb. The White Pie, with the extra thin crust, is heavenly. And since it's thin crust I can convince myself it's healthier! I have also indulged in their shoestring fries, which are ever so tasty, especially with their apple cinnamon ketchup! The spiral cheese bread is also very tasty, and you can get it for free with a foursquare check-in and a bill over $25! Always ask for their homemade ranch to dip your fries or chips in, it really is to die for. The spinach dip is also a favorite, and will not last very long on a table! The service here is impeccable. I have never waited too long or had a bad experience with any of my servers. And I highly recommend sitting out on the patio when the weather is nice, it's a lovely place to unwind from a hectic day!

This was my go-to place for carry-out or a reliable good meal. Love the portobello wrap/sandwich and the stuffed shrooms; the spinach salad is one of the best I've had! Pizza is outstanding too!! I've missed it much since my move to Baton Rouge!!

My husband and I have been to Pie in the Sky before and loved the pizza, so we decided to go back this past weekend because we heard they have a good beer deal. The service was really friendly, but that was about the only plus of the entire visit. There were only about 5 tables in the restaurant, and our food still took FOREVER. We ordered this breadstick appetizer thing, which would have been good had the cheese not melted all over the plate instead of staying inside the breadstick. About 25 minutes after our appetizer we received the pizza we ordered. We got a small because we had the appetizer and didn't need much more to eat. But that pizza was so dang small, even though we were filled with non-cheesy breadstick, we could have eaten about 3 more of those pizzas. All of this could have been written off as a bad day, but the pricing, they cannot write off. We spent over 30 dollars and had a bad breadstick, 4 tiny pieces of pizza, a soda, and a couple of beers. Not acceptable. Sorry Pie in the Sky. We will not be back.

Use to enjoy this place, came 4-5 times. The past 3 times I've came during the week, it's not been busy but the service and kitchen time was unreasonably slow. I didn't even order pizza but the roasted portabella sandwich. One of those times it actually came out cold, the bread was actually cold as if it had never been toasted or warmed (on a grilled sandwich). I'm not coming back again, considering the prices (which are a bit high for what you get) and the quality (which to me has tapered off) I'd rather drive somewhere else.

I live nearby and have been reluctant to write this review for quite a while now. I don't want the place to fail because it's actually a really good spot and could be and should be much more successful. To start, I moved to Lenox Village before Pie In The Sky was even a blue print. When it first went in it was a hit! It has good, fresh food that doesn't make you feel sick after you eat it, like some pizza and Italian restaurants do. Even though a few select dishes are excellent, I think they could really step up their use of seasoning because the other dishes, even though they are fresh, could use a little more love from the chef who created the menu. They should have that certain unique punch that you can't get anywhere else which makes you crave it and want to come back and pay the prices they command. With regards to the decor, it's not bad. It's actually quite interesting and a great place for the family early on and a group of friends to gather or couples to go for date night. The biggest negative I personally give Pie In The Sky Lenox Village is the lack of attention to detail. Even though the place is clean and I have personally witnessed the managers hold the staff to their closing duties, the owners neglect to maintain the decor. There are marks on the wall and places that could use a little spackling. Let's be realistic...how much does it really cost to touch up a freaking wall of a place that makes you $? Also, there has been at least one lightening bolt decoration in the main dining room that has been out for about the last two years. Really? How much does that cost to replace? My guess is it's too cheap to ignore, but yet the owner has had time to hang up beer neon signs which are really tacky for the type of establishment Pie is geared for. Don't get me wrong, I like going out for a little late night bar crawl from time to time, but Pie is not it. They close early and appear to get most of their business from families, early dinner parties, and date night couples, not bar goers. I'm sure anyone who drives by pie knows it serves a reasonable selection of beers. Marketing the bar isn't really that necessary, IMO. My last biggest annoyance is the floors, especially the concrete. When Pie first opened it had a nice finished concrete floor, now it is so worn out, it's pretty much raw...ugly...concrete. In the past ~5 - 6 years that Pie has been opened, the floors have never been refinished or recovered. At least the kitchen floors look great, but I just can't understand why this has been neglected. I can't understand why businesses don't realize that letting things go often shows sign of a failing place and people don't want to come back and be a part of that. If you want to command premium pizza prices then you have to create and maintain a premium experience! It's pretty simple. Ok, I am done ranting about the negatives, so I will finish with my overall review. I recommend this place. The food is good, the staff is friendly and above average on service. The prices are a tad above what you may expect but are still reasonable. The place is clean and it has a great patio, so you won't be disappointed. I just hope the owners are reading this and will update/maintain the restaurant better than they are doing. They may want to set their DVR to bar/restaurant rescue and pick up a few clues.

Wish I could review the food... But we never got any! I went with my husband on a Sunday evening (also happened to be St. Pattys Day). They were not empty, but not busy by any means. When we walked in the door, two waitresses were standing with their backs to the door. Neither acknowledged us. It took the hostess a few minutes to get back to her station, but she was sweet, seated us promptly, and told us she would send a waitress to get our orders. We waited about 10 minutes with our menus closed, looking around patiently (and the check from the previous customers still sitting on the table) before we gave up and walked out to go to Burger Republic. The hostess that had just sat us waved to us on our way out the door and told us to have a nice evening... I'm sure we could have flagged someone down, but if they aren't motivated to take our order- it doesn't bode well for the rest of the meal.

Love this place! The spiral bread is a must and everything I've ever had has been great! I've been to this location (usually for carryout) and the Galleria location many times and the only thing I would say that I have been disappointed with on the rare occassion, is speed of service. I would understand if they were busy but I've been enough times when they haven't been busy and the food just seems to take longer than it should. On a recent visit, we ordered a Greek salad and it took 15 minutes - really?! But the servers are always friendly, the food is always yummy, so I will continue to go back! One of these days I have to save room for dessert... Now I'm hungry, great!

The best American pizza I've had. I'm very picky about my pizza, as I lived in Italy for 10 years. This place was great; a wide variety of pizza choices, a build your own option, and various crust options, to include a gluten free crust. Just wish they had a vegan crust option. Vegetarian and Gluten-Free options.

I have been here several times. We usually get the carniovre. The crust was burn this time. The pizza ingredients are good quality product. It has a lot of potential. More and more pizza restaurants pre-cook their crust, which could cause disaster. The chicken wings were large but it is not great.

We ate at Pie In The Sky (PITS) again last night. It was happy hour so I ordered the 2-for-1 Miller Lite and both were brought to my table at the same time. I am not a fan of warm beer so I felt the need to drink the first one rather quickly, which came back to haunt me when I was thirsty half way through the pizza. We started with the stuffed mushrooms which come with a chipotle ranch dipping sauce. I am a firm believer that everything is better with chipotle so the shrooms were actually the highlight of the meal. For the pie we had sausage, mushroom, and banana peppers. It was good, but when my card is run for $45 I just don't feel that it was that good. It was just pizza.

I mostly get delivery from these guys. The pizzas are good. I try to stay away from the "specialty" pizzas because they are a little bit pricey and are very hit or miss. Nothing to write home about. I prefer their regular thin crust and a few toppings. They have the perfect amount of sauce in my opinion, which is probably slightly above what an average chain place would give you. The chicken wings are good. The salads are solid. Avoid the meatballs, they are kinda terrible. I had a meatball sub from there and they just tasted old and mushy. Also, they have this cheese bread swirl appetizer thing. I was expecting a lot more from a "signature item." Just not very impressed with the taste.

I've been eating here for a few years now, but I haven't gone back so much in the past year or two. Your habits just change, you know? Also, I cut dairy out of my diet so pizza joints aren't my favorite place to go anymore, hah. Anyway, the food here used to be incredible all the time. Like every single time I ate here, the food was fantastic-everything I had was perfect...but then I went back after a while and I noticed the food started to get a little bipolar on the quality. I've never had anything flat out terrible here, but you notice when your food isn't what it used to be. My favorite dishes here are their BBQ Chicken pizza, the BBQ Chicken hoagie, their meat lasagna makes my soul sing (at least the last time I had it, which has been a while ago now), the pepperoni pizza, and the Spiral Breadsticks are awesome, but sometimes there isn't enough cheese in it. Also, the "grilled cheese" sandwich for kids is something I used to get alllllll the time. I'm starting to drool just thinking about it now...alas, no more cheese for me *sigh*. Service is pretty darn good every time I go here, no complaints. I don't drink in restaurants hardly at all so I can't say anything about their bar, but they do have 3 TV's up there if anyone wants to know...or they did the last time I went in. As for the prices here, I do happen to know they use more gourmet ingredients than your typical pizza joints, but food prices are on the rise anyway so yeah...not much you can do about that. Some other people have pointed this out, but despite the fact that their speciality pizzas are a little pricey, if you split it between three or four people the cost is pretty reasonable. Plus, I don't think they charge for refills so yay! It can be a little annoying when there are kids running around, but that is the fault of the parents not paying attention. They do have the "dough bar", but kids even find ways to get wild and crazy with the dough; they start throwing it against the windows and if you're walking by, it may bounce off the glass and hit you (I've seen it happen). P.S. If you're looking to get more value for your money, go with the regular crust: it's more for your money.

The restaurant itself was comfortable and clean. The pizza was some of the better pizza I've had in Nashville. We got the plain cheese and the Carnivore. (which has italian sausage, hamburger, pepperoni and regular sausage. It was thick and very tasty! They are generous with the toppings and the crust was crispy on the bottom and soft in the middle.

I've driven by this Pie In The Sky several times, but finally was invited to park my butt there last night. First off, the name is a total lie. When you walk in there are exactly zero pies on the ceiling. I was disappointed at that. As for the restaurant itself, we had a table of 10 and they put us in our own little private room at the side. I felt classy...it was like a wholesome champagne room. We ordered a couple of spiral breadsticks - I highly recommend doing this. It's a giant breadstick with cheese in it. Seriously, it's good. Do it. For my meal, I ordered the buffalo chicken pizza. I was a little disappointed that it came with shredded lettuce on top of it, but the pizza itself was quite good and the crust had that perfect bit of crunch right before you hit the soft part. It's a little pricey, but it's easy to get to, the pizza's good and the service is friendly.

I hate to give out bad reviews but just have to honestly say that there are much better restaurants than this one. Food is average and overpriced. Had wine and the glass still had a lipstick imprint on it. (They kindly replaced it but more as a matter of fact rather than apologetically.) They also got the bill wrong -- overcharging me with many mistakes. Again, there was a "sorry for that" but no big deal. Also heard the manager apologizing to some customers that just walked in. Cannot recommend this place, and I've been twice. Only went the second time because my 5-year-old wanted to on his birthday.

Pizza is average. Spaghetti and meatballs had a sweet flavor to it and I just don't care for sweet meat balls (lol). The best item I've had here is the Caesar Salad. That should say enough.

I love this place. It has a great atmosphere, live music, laid back service, and it's family friendly. I love that I can go have a drink at the bar and walk home too=bonus! I'm a fan of the crust and a huge fan of the balsamic vinaigrette. We would go more often but it is pretty expensive. We like the big thick pizza that takes forever to make and the price tag on this pie is over $40.

Pie in the Sky is just seconds from my house and it was such a happy discovery when I finally tried it a couple years ago. Apparently some of the reviewers and I don't go to the same Pie in the Sky because I couldn't disagree more. To me, the crust is perfect. A think a nice, thick outer ring is nice. Lets you have something to hold onto the pizza with. The thickness under the toppings is about as perfect as you can get with a normal, hand tossed pizza. The sauce is very fresh and there are chunks of tomato in there which is wonderful. The cheese is great - a perfect amount in my opinion. Some pizza places have too much, some have too little. To me, its the perfect amount. The toppings are the best. I love the Pepperoni and Italian sausage pizza there. The Italian sausage isn't those little balls you get at other places like Dominos and Pizza Hut, etc. Its SLICED sausage. And when put in the over the edges get crispy. Sooooo good. You also have to try the Spiral Breadstick - its to die for in my opinion. Also, I always ask for a side of the pizza sauce so I can dip my crust into it (like breadsticks and pizza all in one!). A friend of mine thinks the Fettuccine Alfredo is to die for. I'm not as much of a fan but I'm not a huge fan of Alfredo - so, hard to tell. Also, they have drink specials there frequently! The drinks are ok - usually very strong. But you can tell the bartenders are more used to pulling a draft beer than mixing a cocktail. And that's fine. Just be aware. If you want - you can sit up in what they call the 'star bar' on the elevated section of the restaurant or you can go out to the patio. I LOVE going to the patio on cool spring/fall nights (too hot in the summer). So nice to have a slice of pizza or two, a couple cocktails - and sometimes they even have live music out there. Really, a great spot to hang out. Price is up there - but me and 3 friends get a spiral breadstick and a large pizza and total, out the door, is less than 30 dollars. 7-8 dollars a person for pizza and appetizers along with a soda or water - that isn't bad in my opinion.

So, I've been twice. The first time I went, there was a family of six thousand there, with there kids running all over the goddamn place. This is not the fault of the place, it is just a family friendly establishment. They did however leave a giant mess all over the restaurant, and it never got cleaned up. The second time I went in, the place was dirty in the dining room also. There was food pieces on the floor, dirty tables, etc.. Now for the food, I tried the pizza the first time. It was pretty damn bad, they sold by the slice which was good, but the pizza was awful. The sauce was bad, the crust was bad, the cheese was bad. The second time, I knew better than have the pizza, so I got their big garden salad again. Failure occurred yet again, I know there is a general problem with tomatoes right now, but these tomatoes were just horrible. They obviously came from a very cheap food supplier. The place gets 2 stars, because the servers I had were very attentive and filled my beverage up a crapload of times. The service was excellent. The rest of everything, was bad. It takes a lot for me to bitch about food too, but this is pizza that I will never eat again. I might try them again for a calzone or something, but seeing as that is just a folded pizza with the same dough and shitty ingredients, I doubt it. C'mon people, stop fucking up salads, you just have o throw shit into a bowl.

I love pie in the sky but this location gets three stars. I'd rather eat at the one downtown. Although it is the same place, the crust taste better at the one downtown Nashville in my opinion. The location is a cute getaway spot though since it is close to my house.

I have been here 3 times because it is near where I live. I think the crust tastes like cardboard and it is WAY over-priced. But it is a good bar atmosphere with large screen tvs.

A thirty minute wait for two sandwiches. And still one was missing one of the main ingredients, and the other was over-cooked. The restaurant is also overcrowded and messy. Maybe stick to the pizza (maybe?), and check your food.

Good solid pizza! Second time I've been here and will definitely be back. Created our own pizza with pepp, spicy sausage, and roasted red peppers! Good overall flavor and quality. Got a few draft beers as well. A little pricy but not terrible.

Every time I come to Pie in the Sky I always enjoy it! The pizza is so delicious and the employees are kind! Our waitress was a sweetheart and she was on top of drinks and dirty dishes. After my awful experience at Chili's, I was impressed with the service here.

My favorite pizza spot in Nashville. I was a regular in the cool springs location but unfortunately they closed down. This location is just as good. I always get the Happy Family pizza and it never disappoints. What set them apart is the higher quality topping compared to other pizza joints.

Went there with my daughter and was seated promptly. Waitress was nice. We were the only ones in there. When our food came out it was room temperature. I did not eat mine and my daughter ate very little of hers. I am hoping may be it was just an off day for them.

Now with a minimum purchase of $20 required, don't expect to order just large pizza and have it delivered, even if you live less than a mile from the restaurant.

pretty good crust and sauce, but you pay for it. If you don't mind paying for good American style pizza, then check these guys out. close to work, so we sometimes go for lunch, never crowded (in fact the last 2 times there was a max of 3 tables) The Calzone is great, with even some leftovers.

This was my go-to place for carry-out or a reliable good meal. Love the portobello wrap/sandwich and the stuffed shrooms; the spinach salad is one of the best I've had! Pizza is outstanding too!! I've missed it much since my move to Baton Rouge!!

I have been here several times. We usually get the carniovre. The crust was burn this time. The pizza ingredients are good quality product. It has a lot of potential. More and more pizza restaurants pre-cook their crust, which could cause disaster. The chicken wings were large but it is not great.

No thank you. We tried this place. Order a large gourmet pizza two drinks and a desert; price: nearly 50 dollars. wow. There are way better pizza places in nashville that have better prices.

Pizza is average. Spaghetti and meatballs had a sweet flavor to it and I just don't care for sweet meat balls (lol). The best item I've had here is the Caesar Salad. That should say enough.

Went there with my daughter and was seated promptly. Waitress was nice. We were the only ones in there. When our food came out it was room temperature. I did not eat mine and my daughter ate very little of hers. I am hoping may be it was just an off day for them.

  • Adam C.

Every time I come to Pie in the Sky I always enjoy it! The pizza is so delicious and the employees are kind! Our waitress was a sweetheart and she was on top of drinks and dirty dishes. After my awful experience at Chili's, I was impressed with the service here.

Good solid pizza! Second time I've been here and will definitely be back. Created our own pizza with pepp, spicy sausage, and roasted red peppers! Good overall flavor and quality. Got a few draft beers as well. A little pricy but not terrible.

My favorite pizza spot in Nashville. I was a regular in the cool springs location but unfortunately they closed down. This location is just as good. I always get the Happy Family pizza and it never disappoints. What set them apart is the higher quality topping compared to other pizza joints.

I love sneaking away for lunch here. Their calzones are excellent and very filling. Big bonus....they have a bar! They are so much better than your fast food Italian places. The atmosphere is also very nice inside and out.

  • Alexandria R.

Dirty restaurant that doesn't seem to have air conditioning. Food was forgettable and cheaply made.

A thirty minute wait for two sandwiches. And still one was missing one of the main ingredients, and the other was over-cooked. The restaurant is also overcrowded and messy. Maybe stick to the pizza (maybe?), and check your food.

I love pie in the sky but this location gets three stars. I'd rather eat at the one downtown. Although it is the same place, the crust taste better at the one downtown Nashville in my opinion. The location is a cute getaway spot though since it is close to my house.

I have been here 3 times because it is near where I live. I think the crust tastes like cardboard and it is WAY over-priced. But it is a good bar atmosphere with large screen tvs.

Now with a minimum purchase of $20 required, don't expect to order just large pizza and have it delivered, even if you live less than a mile from the restaurant.

pretty good crust and sauce, but you pay for it. If you don't mind paying for good American style pizza, then check these guys out. close to work, so we sometimes go for lunch, never crowded (in fact the last 2 times there was a max of 3 tables) The Calzone is great, with even some leftovers.

This was my go-to place for carry-out or a reliable good meal. Love the portobello wrap/sandwich and the stuffed shrooms; the spinach salad is one of the best I've had! Pizza is outstanding too!! I've missed it much since my move to Baton Rouge!!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
