The food was basic Asian food, some Thai some Chinese and I doubt if they really do have authentic Vietnamese (There should NEVER, EVER be celery in Pho, geez) The portion is large, the place is clean, the staff is nice and it is within walking distance if you live/work downtown. It doesn't have the best Asian food, kind of homogenous Asian food since Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese & Thai are so very different and 1 restaurant can never be an expert in all 4 cuisines. Trust me, I know my Asian food. But I will keep coming here for take-away. For a special occasion? Nahhh.

Let me begin by stating that the only negative I have to say about Pacifica is that it's only open for the downtown work crowd. Living within walking distance, I would give a LOT for it to be open late and on the weekends. Pacifica is the best take-out Asian food I've found in Nashville so far. The Kung-Pao chicken plate is delicious. It's packed with fresh peppers and onions and tossed with peanuts. The meat is quality and I recommend you mix it all up with some white rice. The man (who I assume is the owner) is always manning the cash register and is extraordinarily friendly. I'm never dissatisfied when I head back to the office after lunch at Pacifica. I highly recommend you give it a shot sometime. You won't regret it.

Good. The best sweet and sour chicken, crab rangoon. The moo goo gai pan is a good healthy choice ask for chili oil to give it a kick.

Say you work downtown and one of your coworkers just had a breakup. You want to take your friend to a feast of greasy carbs. Pacifica is the place for you. It's solid. It's cheap. It's fast. Is it healthy? Look, this is a broken hearted librarian we are talking about it. It's not the time to consider the caloric content of lo mien. The veg lo mein and egg drop soup, they do things for a hurting soul. Trust me.* *never ate anything else here. ok one time I strayed got veggie fried rice but we all make mistakes.

An Asian restaurant with a clean atmosphere, freshly prepared meals, and quick preparation is a rarity these days! With all the buffets that claim to serve variety, yet lack in freshness and food handling / contamination is inevitable, this place is far from the typical. Although there are long lines during the prime lunch period, my meal was prepared immediately after I ordered, and the line moves fast. I ordered a plate of Lad Na (stir fried flat noodles loaded with chicken & shrimp) with extra scallions and extra spicy, while my wife ordered the special of the day, sweet / sour pork. Our food looked & smelled like it came fresh out of the wok. The noodles were cooked right while the vegetable still had the right crisp to complement the meat. My wife's s/s pork tasted better than the typical s/s chicken.... something buffets can never reproduce. We will definitely come back. The only negative is that I wish they were open for dinner.

Fresh flavors, and fast, friendly service. Try the Thai basil shrimp (or beef, or chicken) with fried rice. Just enough heat.

I am a pad thai freak and Pacifica helps me get my freak on...during my lunch break! It's so nice to have a tasty sit down Asian place in the downtown area. Like most places in the downtown district, the service is nice and fast! It is pretty nice inside, but nothing too special. Pacifica is an Asian restaurant with many types of Asian cuisine ranging from Thai to Chinese. It is a bit more expensive than some other places downtown, but the ingredients seem fresh, so it's worth it! The pad thai was exceptional!

When I attempted to eat at Puckett's only to turn myself away from the waiting crowd, I meandered around and found this nugget. I wouldn't exactly call this place "pan-Asian"; it's really the basics of Chinese takeout plus pad thai and (I didn't really remember) maybe something with teriyaki sauce. I got my standard order of sweet and sour pork. And because there was a $7 minimum for plastic, I ordered their (expensive) oolong tea for a few dollars. I was amused that oolong tea was listed as "exotic"; I was not amused that it was about $2. While I paid about $10, that amount was rather steep. Especially since at that price there would be complimentary soup, egg rolls and tea at hole-in-the-walls back home. Not here. The food was basic; nothing extraordinary. On the other hand, if I worked downtown, I would easily see myself in here for my constant cravings for Asian food. It really is your standard, Americanized Chinese food. I didn't go upstairs for the extra seating. Bus boys are very attentive in clearing your dishes away when you're done.

Food was tasty!! And the staff was so nice! I would definitely return here, and if I lived closer, I would eat here much more often.

My wife and I stopped by and it was after 3:00 pm (closing) so we just asked for a fountain drink to go. The owner was so gracious that he didn't even charge us! He said that the sesame chicken and their noodle dishes were very popular. We will be back!

As far as fast food Thai, it is good! I always get the tofu basil! Make sure you try that new water to get some strength and energy. Just ask the guy cashier and he will tell you all about it!

The food is good and tasty. I would call it a Panda Express but the food is made to order so its fresh. I had the Malaysian Curry Chicken. Its was good. Nothing that brought back memories from the time I spent in Kuala Lumpur; didnt pop. If you have the time and near by I would go there but wouldnt make a special trip for it. There are plenty of asian restaurants around town. Plus parking REALLY SUCKS. $6/hr minimum next door unless you find something close on the streets and it was weekday lunch time so you could only imagine.

Having been here twice, I'll be back! The first time, I had Pad Thai with tofu. I ate it all. I didn't eat dinner that night. Sooooo, good. If your not a big eater, there is enough here for two servings. On my second trip - with Tupperware in hand - I ordered the Mongolian Curry with fried rice. I also ordered a Spring Roll. A little disappointed on the spring roll...there was meat inside. I'm not a vegetarian or Jewish but just don't eat pork. The Curry was tasty. I wish they would have dumped the curry over the rice. However, it was presented side-by-side. This is not how I envision traditional curry. I believe you should be able to drink the liquid from the bowl there is so much. Overall, with location and competition in mind, this place is very reasonable. Anywhere from $8-10 for lunch and a drink. They have a variety of dished; lo mien, noodles, curry, sweet and sour etc. Plus, this place has been very busy both times I have been here. I also like that they give you a tray with a real plate and fork. I choose favorites over places that give you everything in Styrofoam. That is why I bring a Tupperware to a meal now. I rather be prepared. I guess its like a Pro-Environment consciousness.

Pacifica is probably my favorite downtown lunch spot. It's always really busy, especially between 11:30 and 1:00pm, but the line moves quickly. I'm a big fan of the Thai Basil, and the pot stickers are a divine appetizer. I wouldn't suggest the sushi though--they only have four rolls to choose from, and they are not that good. If you have a craving for sushi, go elsewhere! Oh and the Pad Thai and the chicken fried rice are a tasty choice too! You can really go wrong here--choices to please everyone that likes Asian food, and it's quick and inexpensive. I do really miss it!

Mediocre. There arent many options for Asian food downtown, if you are craving some sort of Asian it will meet those needs but be prepared for 'meh.'

This place is ok in a pinch. I ordered the Thai Basil and it had *spicy* next to it on the menu but there was zilch heat factor and the dish was pretty bland. I also ordered the ginseng coffee, which was good, and the wonton smores, which were bleh.

This place has the market on Asian food since the only other alternative is on West End. But let's be real, you don't come to downtown Nashville for Asian food. It's mediocre and it'll hit the spot if you're craving Chinese for lunch, but it's not very "Pan-Asian." It's regular take-out Chinese food w/ a few variations of Pad Thai Noodles. Hardly lives up to its name. It's a little pricer than what it should be, but then again they can get away w/ it b/c of the location and the lack of competition. If you're downtown and looking for fried rice or Pad Thai noodles then "why not?" ... you really don't have any other option.

It's all relative. This place fine for lunch downtown. Not a place I would drive to or otherwise go out of my way to eat at. But, it's quick and quality is consistent. Usually pretty fresh given the high volume of business. Nothing too special but much better than a lot of the other downtown lunch offerings.

I'll agree with the previous review on this one. Pacifica is a great spot to eat lunch downtown. They have Asian food, which includes, Chinese, Japanese, and even some Thai dishes. They have tons of fresh ingredients and lots of vegetarian options to choose from. I always order the same thing here. I tend to do this... when I find something I like at a restaurant I order it, literally, every time I go there. If I want something else I just visit another restaurant. Who knows why, that's just how I do things. I always order the egg flower soup, and then the Thai vegetable curry with tofu. The egg flower soup is really light and tasty. I alway ask for no crispy noodles, because they seem to put way too many on the soup. If you like them though, you are in luck! The vegetable curry is a great mix of flavours, it is a yellow coconut curry sauce with peppers and onions and tofu served over white rice. I really like it, and they are consistent with the dish. It's good every time. This restaurant is a little more expensive than some of the places in the Arcade, but the food is a lot better, so I think its a no brainer to eat here instead. They move the lunch line through very quickly, so it is a good bet to sit down and get a table and have plenty of time to get back to the office.

I happened to be in the downtown area and decided to have lunch here. The service was swift and all of the ingredients were fresh. I kept it simple and just had the Mongolian Beef with steamed rice. While this isn't the best that I've had. It is decent. The portion sizes were just right.

The line moves quick, which is a plus, but ti's not that great. Don't go out of your way for this place.
