Apparently the owner didn't like my review and had begun a harassment campaign against me... So very unprofessional, I now understand why there were so many issues. Its the owner Maicia (the one with the moustache ) she has been berating me with messages and complements that were lewd and atrocious. Buyer beware.

This is a great place to stop in and get some baked sweets. I love their short bread cookies that are half dipped in chocolate.

I was craving a good chocolate chip cookie so I figured I'd pop in and see if they had any. Guess what, I got lucky and they had some here. If your looking for a good chocolate chip cookie that isn't overly sweet, has a nice dispersion of chocolate chips and just the right amount of chew to it this is the place to go. The only downside about it is I just wanted 1 or 2 cookies but they only have them boxed by the dozen so I ended up eating 3 instead or the 2 max I had already given myself, the rest went on the table in the break room so I wasn't tempted to indulge in another one later. I also picked up this large sandwich cookie for my little cousin but seeing as he is 5 I don't think we will get a good assessment of the goods from him. :)

Horrible... Misspelled name, not ready the day of pick up with two week notice...it was delivered, so I couldn't get the name fixed. Awful experience and they will not return repeated attempts to get it fixed

Excellent carrot cake and deliciously creamy frosting. The service is great and the ladies were able to accommodate my last minute request. Neighborhood gem!

Ok. So I tried this bakery again and was even more disappointed. I went myself and not only did the place seem dirty but the cupcakes I got were stale and the chocolate had a white haze over it like when it's old. I've eaten better stuff from hostess that was expired. I won't ever be eating anything from here again.

Stay away!!!! They ruined my wedding reception! I ordered cup cakes with white icing with tiny pale green rose buds. I ended up with multi-colored florescent cup cakes that looked like they belonged at a circus themed birthday party for a 4 year old. When I contacted them after the wedding to ask what happened she actually told that SHE thought color was better for a wedding! Well thanks for making that call on the center piece of my wedding reception! If you look it up they have a Better Business Bureau rating of F !!!

This was my final stop on a tour of bakeries along US 70 today. I only learned of them today, which was something of a shock that I missed a bakery this close. The store was large, and the production area is open and visible from the sales area. Big plus. They mostly had sweets, with some dinner rolls rounding out the savory side of affairs. The selection of petit fours, bon bons, and cookies was extensive. I bought a small array of items. I've tried most of them at this point. The petit fours are good. I especially appreciate that the outer coating was not plasticky, as petit fours often tend to be. I did not enjoy the creme horn or the bon bon, as the flavor of the creme put me off slightly. The dinner rolls are excellent. What I really appreciated was the good conversation I had inside. We discussed the situation of bakeries in Nashville. This was the second bakery that echoed my sentiments that this is a rough town for non-sweet baked goods. The staff at Hermitage Bakery raised a good point...Publix does bread pretty well, and that may offer an explanation as to why non-sweet baked goods sell poorly here. Either way, it was a good discussion, and I like when staff are willing to discuss their industry freely with me. I would certainly do business with them again.

I had a very important baby shower that I was hosting a couple of months ago. The mom - to - be had previously had some complications which resulted in her loosing two babies, both at 8 months. It was heart breaking. This baby shower was so incredibly important as this baby had surpassed it's sisters and was 9 months along. We had reason to seriously celebrate. As I put the shower together I put so much thought into every detail wanting to make this a grand and positive memory though knowing that with every party there is always that one thing thing that is forgotten. So, day of the shower, 2 hrs before the guests arrive, on a sunday, and it occurs to me, I forgot to order the cupcakes! I found myself at hermitage bakery after a couple of other attempts. The staff was so nice. They were 10 minutes from closing and when I explained the situation they were so helpful and went out of their way by staying over and icing 30 cupcakes for me. I thought this was so sweet but then when they showed me the cupcakes I realized they had even taken the time to add little icing booties and laces to each one so that it would seem that I had planned it all along. They really went above and beyond and the cupcakes tasted fantastic. Hermitage bakery definitely has business from now on!

We got a birthday cake for our son this weekend and were thoroughly impressed. They matched the picture we gave almost perfectly and the price was comparable to any chain. We recommend you also support our local businesses.

I have been passing this place for a year now and had never gone in. One night I asked The Hub to bring home something sweet and good, he stopped here. Got the caramel brownies, I didn't love them. I wanted them to be more reminiscent of a turtle but in brownie form. It had a caramel icing. I gave them a second chance though. I got a few cupcakes and my husband against my orders picked up chess squares. Well the chess squares were delicious, as were the cupcakes. I favored the yellow with white butter-creme icing and the carrot cake with cream cheese icing. I repeat, the chess squares were delicious.

A to-go sort of place... with pretty little treats that make you want to buy way too many items! I enjoyed looking through the assortments of deserts, including Halloween themed pastries and ended up getting a creamed cone, a cherry turnover, a Napoloen, and a chocolate-covered velvet cupcake. All (except the turnover) had thick white sugary icing on it which is not so much my style but they all tasted pretty good, not great though -- for I like my dessert less sweet and more airy / light. The pastry workshop area is visible behind the counter, and I found it pretty entertaining to see the types of gadgets and work area setup -- one feels like one is on the set of a Food Network kitchen. The lady at the counter was super nice, super friendly.

Last night my friends surprised me with a very yummy birthday cake from Hermitage Bakery. They got me a vanilla cake with some regular icing. It was a sheet cake, excuse me is (I'm still eating off it), with this really neat flowers all over it. It had "Happy Birthday Erin" in cursive on it too. The cake is extremely moist and the icing is very sweet. It's all light and delicious. My friends that ordered it said that the cake was ready on time and the bakery peeps were very helpful. They said that the Bakery accidently made my cake a week early, but didn't fault them at all and were actually able to sell that first cake to someone else.

I'm a secretary in a large (500+) office and have used Hermitage Bakery a number of times. Whether I order full sheet cakes beautifully decorated to a theme or hundreds of cookies, the reaction from our workforce is always the same: "This is delicious - WHERE did this come from?!" Hermitage Bakery never fails to deliver delicious baked goods and professional service.

This place is super yummy and bad for you. The bonbons are stacked to the ceiling and have sooo much going on in them. The regular bonbon tastes just like a hostess cupcake, but with that homemade twang, and twice the size. I recently tried the caramel bonbon during my last visit, and it's not for those faint of heart. This thing is rich. It's a chocolate cupcake with a huge dollop of caramel icing then dipped in chocolate and drizzled with more caramel. Holy crap it was good. It was worth all those extra sit ups. Kind of.

The Donelson Hermitage area's bakery of choice for fast service. Opened 12 years, five at this location, the business in the big yellow building with the big purple cap is easily noticed. This bakery has a wider variety of ready to take out goodies than the top-rated Becker's Bakery, which does more custom cake orders.

I've been to this bakery a few times over the last 3 or 4 years and I've never been blown away by the customer service. No one has been rude necessarily, but no one has just really impressed me. In fact, when I attempted to place a cupcake order for a baby shower a few years ago they seemed annoyed that I wanted to drop off specific baking cups for them to be baked in. Another time I attempted to place a cupcake order for a wedding shower and they were pretty blunt in telling me that they can't do dark red frosting because it wouldn't taste good. However, they didn't bother to offer any alternatives. I ended up placing the order with Publix because they explained they could "airbrush" the dark red color without affecting the taste. On a brighter note, the items I have purchased from Hermitage Bakery have always tasted good. No problem with the quality. On my last visit I purchased some red and pink heart shaped butter cookies for Valentine's Day and they were very yummy. I like that they have individual items for sale but also have some pre-packaged goodies available as well. Their petit fours and bon-bons are huge and look delicious. I can't wait to try one. On my last visit I saw a section for breads and such but there was no item's there so I dunno.......They have "Happy Hour" M-Th from 3-6pm with different treats at a special price. Happy hour does not apply on holidays. I'm sure I'll be back when a sugar craving hits, I just wish their friendliness was up to par with their sweets.

It was 5:15 on a monday, Dinner was at 6:30 but when you're in your mid 20's with no kids you have full reign to decide if you want to go buy 3 boxes of cookies and 2 cupcakes from a bakery. That's what we did. Hermitage Bakery popped up on Yelp and we headed out. we purchased 2 vanilla cupcakes which satisfied our sweet craving as we ate them in a the parking lot like 5 year olds. But the cookies we bought, Snickernoodle (tasted lemony :/ ) , chocolate chip (dry) and peanut butter (meh), left us wanting some thing more and our cravings not fulfilled. Price point was good however and it was nice to support a local place.

Terrible experience. Ordered a cake for a party, it I think they must have tripled the recipe for salt. 2 weeks later and I still taste the overly abundant taste of salt. I will never go back there. There's many many better options in the Nashville area.

I picked up these things called "chocolate chewies".....yes, OMG, they are deliciously mouthwatering, melt-in-your-mouth, cocoa richly addicting! Only $3.29 for a dozen! Can I have 365 for every day of the year? They are chocolate cookies practically flour less, fat-free, made with egg whites, chocolate and walnuts. They also have salt hardo bread. Im not crazy about the other baked goods there, but that's because I'm not into buttercream cakes, however I'd go here just for the Chocolate Chewies anytime!

Only giving one star because I have to. Cakes are dry and icing tastes like straight lard. They don't seem to be able to take orders over the phone and you get what you want. Owner is a bit too much handle. She thinks her bakery is THE BEST and if you have a complaint, YOU are wrong.
