The air-conditioning here was a welcomed invitation to eat after spending the hot morning touring the plantation with my family. However the food wasn't really notable. The chili, chicken pot pie, and spinach lasagna were all very salty. The iceberg salad and spinach salad were good but nothing special. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was excellent but I wouldn't recommend it.

I'm not gonna come back here again (this was my favorite restaurant). Just because they changed the menu and took my French Dip dish away. Nooooo ;(.

A decent brunch on the grounds of the Belle Meade Plantation. Nothing exactly stood out, but I suppose the french press coffee was pretty good. I don't suppose I expected anything to leap out at me, but I don't really think it would bring me back. We stopped in for lunch with the intention of stopping in over at the Winery at Belle Meade, little did we know you need a grounds pass or a tour pass for that. I won't go into that in this review though since it doesn't really speak to any poor experiences here at Harding House. There is plenty of parking, and the staff was very friendly. Maybe a little pricey, but considering where its located that's no surprise.

For Brunch this place is hard to beat. Not a huge menu but what they have is great. I have yet to try much of their actual breakfast food since I mostly have stuck to their sandwiches (turkey with brie is always a good choice). However, their eggs Benedict is fantastic and that alone would bring me back. They also have cheese and herbed grits as a side and boy is it worth it. I would almost just get this alone for breakfast if I didn't enjoy the rest of their offerings so much. Come out for brunch and you won't be disappointed, though be wary of bringing a large party. The place really isn't conducive big groups.

I LOVE the Harding House. I had the Belle Meade sandwich (hot pimento cheese with fried green tomatoes on grilled ciabatta bread) with spicy herb grits. The service was awesome - friendly staff, short wait-times, and ambiance was great. I recommend making a reservation because it's not a huge facility and it stays very busy. I'll definitely be back.

Corn beef and potatoes were amazing! We also had the cranberry walnut pancakes, they were also very good, and what a value. We will define fly come back!

Well wasn't this a nice spot? We had a lovely lunch. Sweet tea was VERY sweet, but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing, you know? ;) Son had bourbon glazed brisket with steamed broccoli and mac and cheese. I had soup of the day (loaded baked potato) and a spinach salad with dried cherries, goat cheese, and candied pecans. The brisket and the salad were the best of the bunch. Service was absolutely excellent. Interior of the restaurant could use a little spiffing up, though. I would definitely return here for lunch and shopping. Their gift shop was the most unique around (and pretty decently priced!).

Beautiful location. Part of the belle Meade plantation. Great chocolate peanut butter pie.

3 and half stars for a family friendly brunch with sat mimosa specials. enjoyed the omelette, sausage, spinach, cheese.. and subbed a pancake in for the home fries. Scoutmob saved me $10. 4 stars with the scout mob. I think this place is an excellent family place for people in the bellemeade area. Food is decent. Prices, well if you live in the area, then it probably doesn't matter. But who doesn't like a drink special? $3 mimosa, and $15 for a carafe? Guess what is next door as well? The Belle Meade plantation.

Fried green tomatoes. I just....I almost wept. That's how delicious they were. MUST have when you drop by here. Tearjerkingly good. Their food is delicious. I had some kind of cornbread with chicken and jalapeño jam and barbecue or something...it was DELICIOUS. Excellent, prompt, polite service. Very clean, good prices. The fried green tomatoes are an absolute MUST.

Went here for the very first time to meet a friend and the food was delicious. The omelet I had was the best thing I ever had. I would definitely come back here again . This place is a little expensive but I would definitely come back again. The biscuits they have are amazing and you could eat a million of them things . So if you're looking for a place to eat at go here you will LOVE IT!!

It is a beautiful location on the grounds of the Belle Meade Plantation. We stopped in for lunch. I must say that I would not exactly say this has the southern feel for it other than the location. The food was really nothing exceptional, feel like it was over cooked and very salty, seemed more like processed and re-heated. The service was not very good looks like the servers are all miserable, hostess needs to lose the attitude you are not at a five star restaurant. Have had much better food elsewhere, not a place to bring out of town guests, will be a real disappointment. Don't plan on dining here again.

Great atmosphere, and a nice way to end a trip to Belle Meade Plantation. I treated my grandparents for my grandma's 85th birthday. They had the bbq pork sandwich and really enjoyed it. I had the soup and salad. The soup - smoked tomato corn chowder was AMAZING!!! I chose the wedge salad, and it was just ok. (I LOVE a good wedge!!) The dressing was very runny, with not much blue cheese and it was warm. The rest of the salad was pretty good and a great concept for the wedge (caramelized onions and bacon). Our service was ok, but our server had a huge group that she was also waiting on. All in all, I'd say check it out!!!

Visited with friends while in Nashville. Go for the Belle Meade sandwich. Tasty! Visit the gift shop downstairs as well!

This was the location of a lunch honoring the bride and the bridesmaids during my sister's wedding weekend and I was impressed! The decor seemed a little dark when I first glanced in before proceeding to the rehearsal (separate than the harding house), but when I came back for the lunch, the dining area had been rearranged and between the linens and the decor that the ladies brought in, it looked beautiful. As everyone arrived, a woman circulated distributing mimosa's and they kept coming the entire meal. She never offered one to me, but because I don't drink I wasn't really concerned. Then they had a special menu for the lunch: a chicken salad with goat cheese and candied walnuts, a sandwich with turkey and brie, or a sandwich with a fried green tomato and pimento cheese. FRIED GREEN TOMATO AND PIMENTO CHEESE! So amazing. Everyone loved their food and then there was a delightful fudge pie for dessert. I can't say I would come here again because its not really an area to go to that often, but it was great and if I ever get the opportunity to return I will.

Fried green tomatoes and barbeque chicken over cornbread dishes, well that's southern to the soul. Lunch from Harding House at Belle Meade Plantation is a Nashville experience well paired with a visit to the historic carriage house and a stroll through the magnolias. The provincial fruit tea is a treat to the tongue. Also traditional is the banana pudding and sweet potato fries. Chef Tabor Luckey and co-owner Nathaniel Beaver use locally sourced ingredients including some grown on the plantation grounds as much as possible.

My husband and I went there for lunch and the food we ordered had no flavor. I ordered the gumbo with jalepeno cornbread and he ordered the reuben. The gumbo wasn't edible even after adding salt and hot sauce; the cornbread was actually a pancake with no hints of jalepeno--again, no flavor. The reuben was made with cooked cabbage rather than traditional sauercraut; again, no flavor. To give them credit, though, the thin fries served with the sandwich were good. To add insult to injury, our server noticed I didn't eat my lunch; but rather than asking if it were satisfactory (or unsatisfactory as the case was), I was asked, "Are you through with that?" Had hoped this would be a good Nashville-type place to take out-of-town company for lunch or brunch, but we will never go back again nor recommend it to anyone.

The food is excellent and ambiance is as well. It's a great place to go if you want conversation over lunch - not too noisy. The menu is varied, service is excellent. Each time I've been there, the food has been delicious.

We came to visit Belle Meade so we dropped by here for breakfast. The southern Benedict was pretty darn good. Jalapeño cornbread is delicious. The Ruben was average but hey we aren't in NY. The shoestring fries became cold soooo fast, too teeny! Our waiter was very nice and overall the food was good. Coffee was average. Definitely a spot with lots of regulars.

If you are coming to Belle Meade Plantation, I would definitely recommend having brunch or lunch here as part of your visit. We happened to come on a Sunday so they were serving brunch. I almost wished that it was the regular menu because there were a couple of things I would have liked to try, but because we were still a little full from breakfast we shared the fried green tomatoes and the pimento cheese and tomato egg rolls. Both were outstanding. I have had fried green tomatoes at other spots here in Nashville and these have been my favorite. Service is awesome here too.

We went there yesterday. We were expecting the full menu & didn't realize it was brunch only. There were only 4 tables of diners when we got there, but took a few minutes to seat us. My husband had the Reuben which was just so average, at best. The skinny fries weren't crisp & not very good. I had the Harding House salad which was decent, but small. I added shrimp for $8 & received 4 medium shrimp sauteed but bland. We may decide to try the full lunch menu, but yesterday's experience cost us $40 including a tip for a not so great experience.

I love brunch so I started looking for a great place for brunch as we planned our trip. once I saw this place I knew it was it. delicious eggs Benedict. wasn't a fan of their grits. good mimosa too. only reason there is a minus star here is because it's a bit confusing to get into this place. we pulled up and saw a front door but it was locked. my mom and stepdad wandered away all mad thinking I made us come before it was even early. I explained they should be open since we were able to make the reservations on opentable. I mean why would they let you do that? so we wandered around the back and saw the restaurant. knew it was open! but still that was a bit annoying. they might have had a sign but most people tend to just go to the front door especially when it says Harding house above it. we also liked they did separate checks for couples. all in all a great brunch.

Great place to have breakfast on Sunday! The biscuits were extremely good. Service was great and there was not a wait. Walking around the plantation afterwards made for a great start to the day!

The Harding house is a great take on Southern cuisine. I took a girlfriend here for brunch and to check out their new menu. While the menu is unrecognizable from the old, all of the changes are fantastic and they display not only classic southern dishes but fusion dishes as well. The pimento cheese and green tomato egg rolls with Dixie duck sauce were to die for and the pickled fried green tomatoes, a more southern take on the popular fried pickle, were delicious as was the Comeback sauce that accompany them. Both my friend and I also had the tomato bisque with midi cheddar biscuits which I can honestly say is the best tomato soup I've ever had and don't get me started about those biscuits... Loveless who? lol. We also had the blood orange Mamosa and for three dollars for brunch you can't beat it with a stick it certainly helps that they are delicious. The dining room is beautiful, the service competent, and the management is more than accommodating. I highly recommend Harding house! I can't wait to go back and try the normal Monday through Friday lunch menu... I mean how many restaurants serve ambrosia? Total win!

There was a twenty minute wait on a Friday afternoon. The tomato bisque was the best I've ever had. Their wine were also quite good. I really liked the silk.
