Kapow! That's right I am dropping the 5 stars on this one. Most of that is because I am so thrilled to finally have Thai food available as a downtown lunch option. That is it fast, good and cheap as well definitely puts it over the top. I have now been three times and been ecstatic with my choice every time. For the record I have tried the Red Tofu Curry (awesome), the Pad Pik chicken (scorchinngly good) and the Spicy Bamboo Chicken (really nice). I can easily see this place becoming a weekly lunch stop for a guy who only eats lunch out a max of 2 times per week (that would be me). The Basics: Green Curry is in the arcade right by the alley. They are only open for lunch (11:00-3:00). They have full menu, but the steam table is almost always loaded with some seriously good stuff. You can either 1-3 choices along with soup and rice starting at around $7. They will let you have samples if you are not sure which delicious selection you would like to try. They almost always have a vegetarian option on the hot bar and a ton of veggie options on the menu. Pro Tip: If you are ordering off the menu it is probably a good idea to call ahead as they make everything fresh to order. Also, by the pickup area there small to-go containers of chili sauce, siracha, and red pepper flakes to heat things up a bit.

Green Curry is a Thai restaurant that is a small hole in the wall in downtown, but I don't really care about that as long as the food is good. I hate to say it, but the food at Green Curry was very mediocre, but I suppose you get what you pay for. The staff was nice, but we ended up waiting for around 20 minutes for our food. The Tom Ka soup was average and tongue scalding hot. I had an hour lunch break and my soup was still steaming hot 20 minutes after it arrived. I ended up asking for a to-go container and reheating it up after my meeting.

Great lunch special. 6.95 for entree, white or fried rice, and house soup! The staff is always friendly and my food is always piping hot. I recommend this place to anyone Downtown looking for a deal and great food. It's located in The Arcade so its obly open during lunch hours.

I've been coming here since day one and there's a good reason for this. The owner (who's name has slipped memory, go figure) is native Thai, his hospitality is second to none. I no longer eat meat so I need a different protein and prefer not to have tofu all the time. Seeing how I love curries he always, ALWAYS goes out of his way to make sure that I get something, nuts are usually preferred and wham! there I have it. Today wasn't an exception by any means either. Not only is the red curry not on the combo but he went out of his way again, and gave me a free bowl of soup as well as his favorite native Thai soy-milk product he just got in stock. I will forever be a humbled and gracious customer. The food, there is a "hot" bar in which I usually don't eat from (meat) and people tend to think that's all there is, when in fact all you need to do is look up at the menu board and within 5 min. you can have a variety of dishes to enjoy and choose from.

Thai food is my favorite cuisine, when I have a craving for it, Green Curry will tide me over. While it is not the best Thai food I ever had, it's good enough, and priced well enough that I keep returning to it. The staff that work there are also nice. There are tables to sit and eat inside if you want to take the time, it is nice, bright, and clean inside so not bad for a sit down lunch to get out of the office.

This is a brand new business, so hopefully they are just working out their kinks and it will improve. I really hope so, because we don't have any other Thai food downtown. The business is in the arcade near where the alley intersects, and it's clean and brightly lit. The menu is misleading, because while part of it states "After 1:00" (so you can't order anything made in the kitch until after 1:00, when most people who work downtown are finished eating), another part of the menu that has combos and lists some delicious sounding items. Unfortunately for me, after paying $8.50 for the combo plate and wanting shrimp and eggplant (which are both listed as options on the combo section), it turned out that none of that was available, only what was already sitting out behind the glass. Which was all chicken and beef, with one vegetarian option (cauliflower, yuck). I was a bit irritated that I just spent $8.50 for a combo that had neither option available. The guy was nice and had the kitchen stir fry some tofu, which I don't really love either. I'm not eating meat out unless it's free range/grass fed/bla bla bla because I recently watched Food, Inc. and am freaked about livestock practices. Anyways, to wrap this up, don't order anything unless you see it physically sitting out and know that's what you want. Nothing else on the menu is available. I'll try it again in a few months to see if they've fixed these problems.

I'd rather be eating at Thai Phooket. Green Curry is okay if you want a quick lunch in a trendy, clean environment in the quaint atmosphere of the Arcade downtown. If you order from their buffet, you can have an instant lunch that's slightly better than most fast food options. But that's about the end of my praise for this place.
