Who doesn't love Great Harvest? The breads are fresh, unique and yummy, and the other baked goods are truly decadent and creative. I can't go into Great Harvest and not sample at least 3 different items, including breads, scones and those incredibly delicious oatmeal cookies. I came in on Valentine's Day and sampled the cherry chocolate chip muffin and absolutely could not leave the store without one to share with my sweetheart on a sweet day. Rather than purchasing the muffin alone, I decided to pick up lunch for myself. I purchased their lunch special, which included a turkey sandwich and a choice of two: chips, fruit, cookie, muffin and a soda/coffee. For less than $7, it was a great deal for a sandwich AND that amazing muffin--along with a decent cup of local coffee. I wish they'd have put a little more on the sandwich so I could justify eating all of those delicious carbs by balancing them with more protein and veggies, though still finished my meal feeling very happy (it was definitely the muffin that brought on my happiness) :) I wanted to try the Irish Soda bread around St Patricks Day, but I came too late in the day. Great Harvest, make more ISB for SPD!

The bread is baked fresh and absolutely delicious, and the tomatoes taste homegrown. Why only three stars then, you may ask? Because I ordered a turkey sandwich with lots of veggies, and I got a veggie sandwich. Tasty, yes. Accurate, not quite.

Man shall not live by bread alone, true, but you don't need much else when eating Great Harvest Bread! The bread at GH is made from start to finish in the onsite bakery. In other words, this isn't like many bakeries found in grocery stores that is simply finishing baking parbaked frozen goods. The best part...you are always permitted to eat sample of freshly baked bread with yummy butter and honey! Great Harvest....is great indeed.

$6.25 for a pretty skimpy sandwich. I can find better.

Who doesn't like bread? If you say you don't like bread, we all know you are lying. Well, if you want to explore you love for bread, take a gander at all the offerings at Great Harvest. We stopped in looking for a challah, and while they did have some, it's wasn't the best I have had. But they did have plenty of other carb filled offerings. Cookies, bread, brownies, etc. The guy working behind that counter was really nice and welcoming. I can't wait to check out some other their other offerings.

My husband purchased a Groupon for this place about 6 months ago. Due to my husband's deployment, I forgot about it until Groupon emailed me about it. Turns out it expires today. I called them up to see if they would extend the offer (NOPE). I then verified the Groupon policy as follows: What happens if my Groupon expires? All is not lost! Once a Groupon reaches its expiration date, it loses its promotional value, but you can still redeem it at the price you paid for the length of time stated by gift certificate laws in your state. (Which, by the way, is 2 years) The manager insisted this was NOT the case and I would not be allowed to use the Groupon for any amount of money, even the amount that I paid for ($5 for $10 worth of stuff). Suffice it to say I will not step foot in this establishment.... ever. Great customer service, Great Harvest. Bravo.

Ok, so I don't really go for their bread. I go for the cookies and brownies. I will say that their banana nut bread is amazing and I do love the free samples they have of their different types of breads. Anyway, the chocolate chip cookies are amazing! They have me hooked! I was introduced to them when I started going to Hillsboro and now I'm 24 and can't stop. Also, on certain days they have brownies, the brownies are some of the best I have ever had! I defiantly recommend this place!

This bakery cranks out good wholesome breads and rolls, bread you can buy at Whole Foods and Kroger and other markets in the area. But that's not the reason I pop in there after yoga class. It's their dag-gone oatmeal cookies. Big, tasty, chewy, sweet, and offered with or without raisins. LOVE these cookies. Totally addicting. I look at it this cookie fix like my daily serving of oats, like a bowl of oatmeal. Yep, breakfast never tasted better.

Best multi-grain bread on the market and the raisin is excellent too. Friendly staff.

Great chocolate chip cookies! Chocolate chip oatmeal. Not a ton of selection but what they have is very good.

Great Harvest is a great little bakery for rolls and bread and such. I am fairly new to the area, and was looking for some fresh rolls for a cookout I was having at my grandparents house. This place happened to be within walking distance, so I checked it out. They have a good selection, and the rolls were delicious and definitely very fresh. Fortunately, they were well priced also, I would say pretty damn cheap for the quality. For the time being, I will be getting all of my fresh baked breads and rolls here. The staff was also friendly and courteous, and didn't stare at me like I was an idiot as I probably deserved because I spent a long time choosing between 4 different types of rolls.

I went to this bakery because I saw the discount in the Nashville City Saver book. It turned out to be the place that bakes the bread I buy at Whole Food (the honey wheat) which I enjoy during my visits. I bought a bag of the chocolate chip oatmeal cookies and will only buy one at time going forward (I had no control).

I just wanted to walk into the place to take a look around, but I took one smell of the place and now I'm having withdrawls. I must have gotten there too late in the day, because I don't remember glanceing a cookie, but all of the loaves of bread looked amazing. They were presliced and packaged in lovely little bundles. We picked one up to have some with a warm super dinner, and it was ama-zing. It had the perfect texture, as far as bread texture goes anyhow. Go and buy a loaf now!

The second I walked in the door and got a whiff of fresh baked bread, I knew I was going to like Great Harvest. They have a wide selection of loaves, rolls, muffins, cookies, and sweet breads. On Fridays, Great Harvest offers loaves of challah bread ($5.50) that weigh about three pound each. Their brownies ($1.75 each) are fudgy and chocolatey, and their pumpkin bread is moist and well spiced. To keep you coming back for more, they're always giving out generous free samples. Great Harvest bread costs about 30% more than the bread I usually buy at the grocery store. But it's also much more tasty, and since all of their baked goods are very dense, maybe the higher prices are justified in terms of how many servings and how much nutrition you get. The staff here seem to be mostly college or high school-age dudes who nice enough, although this may not be the most graceful customer service you ever experience.

It is places like Great Harvest that make me want to change two things about my life. 1) I wish I wasn't on a low carb diet. 2) I want to learn how to make bread like they do here. This is the best looking, and tasting bread that you will ever find. It is phenomenal. I went there on Friday, and today I went out an bought a pizza stone for my oven with the sole intent of learning to bake bread. It is that life changing. Enough said.

Great Harvest Bread leaves its Green Hills neighbor - Panera Bread behind as far as variety and quality of breads offered. Its breads and muffins are heavy with rich ingredients. Several of the breads use whole unground wheat or other unground grains as part of their recipe. Eatie gourmets like it for sandwiches and more. Best is samples they offer for you to enjoy, so you will know how it tastes before you buy. Most customers take baked goods with them; there is limited cafe-style seating.

I go here to purchase and devour various oatmeal cookies (plain, chocolate chip, and raisin) that are roughly the size of my head. Actually, they are probably bigger than the size of my head. (I don't like to think that I have a big head) But just picture your own head and a cookie that is slightly bigger than it that tastes scrumptous and you'll get the picture. A package of the cookies also makes a great gift. Oh and their bread is pretty tasty as well.
