The delicious and spicy turkey tortilla soup was a big hit! It came with jalapeños and arugala floating on top. YUM! This little place has lots of seating in and out with fairly fast service. Soups, salads, sandwiches and their homemade gelato and ice cream plus coffee drinks. Add the liqueur of your choice. Oh yes, my friends...lots of liqueur options! Salted Caramel Gelato was yummy.

Apparently if you order special drinks or any meals off the menu, you are taking a gamble on service and quality. However, we came here just for dessert following another wonderful night at TPAC. We strictly had water to drink and we tried a chocolate pan cookie with gelato and a type of butter cake. Both were exceptionally delicious. The service was also top notch. Our sever came to our table and went over the menu with us and asked if we had any questions. We had a nice conversation about their various treats and the server's input helped us decide what to order. I'm really surprised at some of the negative reviews but again, we did not order any kind of food or special drinks. The only negative thing I can think of is that the place is a little small, but otherwise it was a great experience. It is also a little on the pricey side but the quality made it worth the money in my opinion. I'm sure we'll be going back soon for some more yummy treats!

Noticed that the former Christie Cookie company location is now Goozy. My husband and I were curious so we checked it out. Little did we know how unique and tasty this place had become! They sell desserts and craft beer and liquor galore! And they have creative concoctions blending the different flavors and delights! They also sell sandwiches too. I wanted to try everything but had eaten dinner prior. We had the chocolate chip cookie in a skillet, and it came with vanilla gelato. It was nice and gooey by the time it came out - so good! The place also has an obscure collection of rock albums too so you almost feel like you're in a Hard Rock Cafe but much more quaint and smaller and secluded.... We definitely give this place a thumbs up on creativity and for satisfying our taste buds!

WARNING LONG POST AHEAD! :-) Our night was a disaster. Much to our dismay our group of 7 could've made out better eating at the Wendy's next door than dining at Goozy. Arrived at 6:30pm for a friend's bday celebration and a couple minutes in two ladies sitting next to us whispered in my friends ear that they hoped we would actually get our food tonight. Apparently they ordered a cheese plate, drinks (which one of the ladies asked for a refill on her wine that never came) and they also ordered dessert and THAT never came, so they left. Now stay with me it gets better! We started to worry, and was it warranted! Our sandwiches took 40 minutes for us to get. Sandwiches. A Tuesday night. One of my friends orders was wrong (it happens) and she had to wait another 20 minutes for a BLTC with no cheese! How hard is it to put together such a thing? And another warning: do not get a side salad instead of chips bc all it is-is a spring mix with dressing drizzled on it.... No tomatoes, no cheese, not a single crouton, just lettuce. For a 2 dollar up charge! I would've much rather stuck with the chips and just not have eaten them which is basically what I did with the salad. And my friend and I both ordered the BLTC and there was no "L" on either of ours.... No one had much to say about their dinners. Honestly nothing special. Oh and we ordered dessert in the middle of eating bc we knew we'd have to wait... We didn't get our desserts until after 8. Most of them were good. The lemon pudding one was our least favorite. I only ordered gelato... As I was getting near the bottom there was a HUGE long piece of straight hair in it that I coincidentally was pulling out of my mouth as the server came up to our table. Thankfully our server handled that well and didn't charge me for it. The bread pudding came out with no gelato or syrup on it so we had to track down someone to ask for that. It was just a mess. How do you forget two main ingredients on a dessert at a place known for desserts? It's a small place and the tables became full after we ordered yet we were the last ones to get anything. Just seemed very disorganized. Our waitress was nice and apologetic to us after one of my friends finally spoke up bc not only did we wait on our food, but we waited forever for our checks. It was just one disaster after another. To make things go a little quicker we decided to each go up one by one to the counter and pay for our meal individually. Another friend was up there and the waitress was ringing her up; meanwhile, the manager (we didn't know she was the manager) asked how everything was- my friend just said "ok" then proceeded to talk to the waitress who was again apologizing... My friend was saying to the waitress that it was just a shame bc we had high hopes for the place. Then the manager got snippy with my friend saying- "Wait a minute, you just told me everything was ok and now you're saying it wasn't?! I need to know these things...." Not sure what else was said exactly, but she was rude to my friend and did not show good customer service. Sorry for the long post! So much went on that I just had to get it all out :) it's safe to say that we will not be returning to Goozy.

Holy cow. I came here before work and his food is so freaking good. It didn't take long for hem to make my food, but I definitely expected them to just whip out some pre made sand which. BUT NO! The guy made it fresh! Right there before my very eyes. It's a really cute joint with a a super laid back vibe. The sandwich was so good and the cheese had so much flavor!!! I was hesitant about the jalapeños but MAN! They really added the perfect kick to the sand which. It was on sourdough bread and grilled which gave it a nice crunch! And plus the sand which had bacon...everything is better with bacon.

Fun restaurant concept but the food was pretty average. I love wine cheese and desserts so this place sounded perfect. I ordered the grilled cheese with the Mac and cheese in it, it was good but pretty overcooked--parts of the bread were blackened. We did get the gooey butter cake which was yummy, though weirdly cold on the outer edges and delicious and warm in the middle. Still, a good restaurant I will likely try again!

Mall location: Workers would not acknowledge me. Helped others around me though I was in the Order line and there first. Not even a "we'll be with you in a moment", not even a glance or the guy cooking to say "what can I get started for you". Helped others who were there after me though I was standing in the line to order and pay. No thanks, will go to a place with friendly employees who understand what customer service is all about!

The primary reason I'm giving it a 4 and not a 5 is because it is tiny and probably hard to find seating for lunch. However, it was not a problem at dinner. I wanted to try Goozy after hearing good things about it and I'm glad I did. My grilled cheese (with mac and cheese and bacon) was excellent and went perfectly with my tomato soup (my wife did not like her sandwich as much, which had ham and onions on it; she said she should have got what I ordered). We both loved our desserts: I ordered the maple bacon sundae, which she ordered the chocolate raspberry cake with coconut gelato (I think hers was a bit better this time). In all, it was a fun change of pace and we'll be back.

I seriously debated for quite some time whether to give 4 or 3 stars, but for my first experience here, I do have to say it was just "A-OK." I love the entire concept of a late night dessert cafe which I've longed for many times in Nashville. Goozy gets it right with solely focusing on sweets for that late night crave. I love that they also have a small food menu if you're more than just dessert-hungry. Also, I thought they wouldn't have any cocktails since they opened up only a few weeks ago, but I was proven wrong. Their sippable menu actually looks solid. I know that Goozy still has some kinks to work out. I definitely want to come back and try their other desserts and hopefully when I do, things will be smoother and I will post an updated review at that time. So for my experience here... I drove in to the parking lot and saw the huge billboard sign that was lit up with "Goozy." Super cool. BUT. Under its name, it said "coming soon" so that sort of confused me since I knew it had already opened for at least a few weeks. I loved the interior, atmosphere, and the menu design. However, one thing I noticed about the menu was that there was a heck lot of chocolate treats. I'm more of a berry/fruit/vanilla kind of gal and the night I went I wasn't quite feeling chocolate so my choices were left to four options under the specialty desserts. All the Goozy cakes were chocolate cakes, so I felt a bit left out in that area. I'm not quite sure if Goozy cakes are supposed to all be dark chocolate molten cakes (?). I ended up ordering the Pot de Creme with a side of Cinnamon gelato. This is when I started feeling a bit uneasy about things here. I ordered this mainly because the menu said it comes with "fresh berry compote." I wanted this for the berries (!!!!). I finally got my order and ... no berries :(. I thought it might have been tucked inside the custard, but no. All I got was chocolate custard and the cream on top in a small cup and my gelato. 1. the gelato was fantastic, 2. the custard itself was not too sweet (just how I like it), but a bit thicker than I expected, and 3. no berries :(((((((. I politely asked the server whether I was supposed to receive berries with my order and she went back and checked for me. She ended up bringing me a small side of the berry compote (I really liked it!!! Could only taste sugar from the fruit, so nicely done) and saying that the menu was printed wrong and the fresh berry compote was supposed to be for the item above. I looked back on the menu and the item above Pot de Creme is the Crostata. I'm pretty sure the Crostata isn't supposed to be eaten with fresh berry compote... So not really sure what happened here. Something else I'm confused about - I read an earlier review here in which a scoop of gelato was added to the S'mores order for only $1. When I ordered my gelato along with my specialty dessert, I paid $3 for that addition. What is correct since I didn't see anything written out on the menu about adding gelato for just $1? :((((( My partner ordered the Raspberry goozy cake which we both liked. Also ordered amaretto gelato which was SO YUMMY. Overall, good service, ambiance, and gelato flavors. For a dessert cafe, though, I did expect a lot more out of my specialty dessert since I felt like I paid $6 for a small custard cup of plain chocolate cream. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing or the most boring dessert item. Anyhow, I want to come back, try the skillet cookie and eat more gelato. I'm hoping they'll have these little issues I pointed out solved by then.

It should not take 20 minutes to make a grilled cheese when there is all of one other party in the place. Even if the food is good, which I may never find out because I am still waiting, I do not plan to return. Now that I finally have my food, I'm happy to report that the grilled cheese is delicious. The tomato basil soup is also tasty, but served warm rather than hot. Work on the timing and I will come back. Not before.

So many times I've wished for a late night place to grab a dessert. This is the spot. Quaintly tucked between Talbots and Sugar Dive, Goozy is Now Open and fabulous. We tried the Salted Caramel Chocolate Goozy and the Bacon Sundae. Both, as well as our coffees, were excellent. The place can't seat 50 though, so try it soon before the wait lines form!!!

We went here because Goozy was featured in Nashville magazine as one of the 37 best places to eat, and because the reviews on Urbanspoon and Yelp appeared to solidify that ranking. Either Nashville has really low standards or we're missing something entirely. It's not that Goozy is TERRIBLE. I think the concept is ingenious, seeming to be geared towards parents with kids (saw lots of kids, had a couple of my own) and giving something to everyone. I also happen to be a big dessert fan, so Goozy definitely sounded right up my alley. It's the execution that needed help. Some of my hangups: - our server repeatedly forgot to bring out drink orders, we never received a refill on water - our server/bartender wanted to make a fruit cocktail out of my Old Fashioned, but thankfully I've come across more than one inexperienced bartender and saved it from a terribly syrupy demise. though i can't help but speculate that she thought i was crazy for requesting a real Old Fashioned, and not her muddled version - i was told (without asking) Benton's bacon is sourced locally. it's actually made outside Knoxville, and I'm really questioning just how local that is. not that it matters, but don't tell me you serve food sourced from local farmers if I would have to spend a whole day just to get to the farm. - my creme brulee had virtually no taste. i LOVE creme brulee, and if its on the menu, I'll order it. But this one seemed to lack taste and consistency (a bit lumpy). - service took an extraordinarily long time bringing our desserts and getting us checked out. All of these things made for a very lackluster experience, and I suppose I had higher expectations for a place touted as one of Nashville's places to eat... it was all just very forgettable.

Good beers and all kinds of desserts I could live here. Pretty sure I'd pick this place for a "last meal". Only thing that would make this place better would be larger portions, open 24/7 and maybe be married to whoever makes this stuff

There are no words to fully articulate this goodness, but if we had to choose one it would be DEVINE. This was our first time at Goozy and we loved the whole experience: people, service, vibes, and eats. We tried the pear + brie sandwich, lentil soup, lemon dessert and torched smore. Each dish had its own unique flavor with a modern twist that left us completely satisfied with our decision. We also chose a record to put on and had a blast perusing the impressive collection. We will definitely be visiting Goozy again soon! It's a new Nashville hidden gem! Try it out, people!!!

I love the concept of this spot! Somewhere to grab a cocktail or some very delicious dessert! They also have food too.We went to grab something sweet. My husband got the crostata, which was great. I had the S'mores and added the Jack honey gelato for $1 more(they have many to choose from). It was delicious! We didn't 't try a cocktail although the recipes looked good. Another cool thing is that they have a collection of records that you can choose songs from and they will play them for you. They also close later, which is great if you wanna grab some dessert and a drink to hang out for a bit. All around good experience. I think it's a great edition to the Green Hills area. I posted all the menus in the pics section).

After several unsuccessful attempts to get to this place with a friend (due to illness and ice), we finally made it to Goozy last night! The atmosphere was different than I expected...it looked more like the inside of an ice cream shop than an actual cafe. We each ordered a dessert- she got the double chocolate cookie skillet and I got the chocolate goozy cake...both were delicious! It was a little pricey in my opinion (especially knowing that I could get a massive slice of cheesecake at Cheesecake Factory for less, our other go-to dessert place), but I will definitely go back and try some other things on the menu.

Two things you should know. I didn't actually eat here and it was busy. Went in for a post dinner and a movie snack. Once we decided we wanted to eat there, we opted to sit outside. We were told that someone would meet us outside and it never happened. So we left. I doubt I'd be back because there are so many other places to eat, but i can also see why its not necessarily their fault. Didn't feel welcomed.

We tried to get in at Cheesecake Factory for dessert. Wow can I say I'm glad they were 110 min wait to let us head a bit down the road to Goozy! 5 of us dropped in for some treats. We had Nutella Goozy cakes with amaretto gelato. Perfectly melty lava cake with great chocolate Nutella sweetness. My son had the chocolate Goozy cake and didn't say a word till he was done eating. Which is saying a lot for an 8 yr old that would rather fill his mouth! We also has the choc chip cookie and vanilla gelato perfection baked crispy on the edges warm with the creamy ice cream. Service was friendly and quick. Skip the big places and head here for the treat. Super close to the bluebird and open late so would be great in combo with that!

Nice place and interesting concept but it wasn't what I was expecting when I walked in. Small dessert list and too formal. Prices are too high for what you get. I spent over $10 on 2 medium size Mochas. I will most likely not return. Nashville has a large selection of cafes that are more reasonably priced.

I got woozy at Goozy. Just a bit. Goozy is great in Green Hills, by Whole Foods. The amaretto-infused toffee cake I let melt in my mouth gave me a woozy sugary high aided by the dash of alcohol I enjoyed. The plain ambience of white painted bricks, black vinyl floor and the simple silver stool I sat on belie the gourmet quality of the pastry. A chocolatey dessert here pairs well with a Lindeman's. I'll be back for a shake and smore.

Took my daughter for her 5th birthday. It was a huge success. I think that most of the sweets, while thoroughly enjoyed by the kids, went over their heads. The adults however were blown away. It was a party of 8 so we got most of the menu. The salads and soups were good sizes and very tasty. The sandwiches were amazing. The grilled cheese would be hard to beat. Dessert was the kicker. The skillet cookie was one of the best I've ever had. We will be back for sure.

If you like sweet and gooey food, this place will be right up your alley. Fun spot to come at night for dessert and a night-cap. Good menu for both late night snacks, decadent desserts, coffees and cordials. Be sure you order one of the cookies that come in a caste iron skillet. Be prepared to wait as the seating is limited.

The food here is delicious (5 stars) but the service leaves something to be desired (2 stars), which is why I'm giving it three stars. The grilled cheese with macn cheese is delicious!! As is the individual cake. I got mine with Nutella and really didn't want to share. So don't come during the lunch rush but come hungry!

Finally! Nashville has a cafe that has a good variety of desserts and is open late! We've been to Goozy several times already and have loved everything about it. Their grilled cheese sandwiches have a good balance of cheese and toppings, though I'd definitely classify some of their sandwiches as a panini rather than a grilled cheese (which was a source of discussion over dinner). We got the roasted root vegetable salad as a side to our sandwich, and it was *fantastic*. The wife got the mac and cheese which had a good blend of cheese, giving it the right balance of sharpness and richness. The serving portions were just the right size to make sure we had room for dessert! The Goozy molten cake can best be described as a cake wafer that is covering a ramekin of molten chocolatey goodness (flavored with raspberry or Nutella if you wish). The chocolate comes from Olive & Sinclair and is dark, decadent, and delicious. We have also sampled their croissant bread pudding (topped with whiskey caramel sauce, pecan brittle, and Jack & honey gelato) as well as their Nutella waffle cone sundae (topped with cardemom soil). Both were also very good, though we would have preferred a waffle bowl instead of a waffle cone to more evenly distribute the ice cream & toppings. As a rule, we try to avoid the craziness of Green Hills at all costs, but Goozy is definitely going to be a regular exception to that rule!

The grilled cheese sandwiches were delicious and cooked perfectly! We enjoyed the chips that came with the sandwiches. The dessert menu was large; we had a hard time making a choice. We ended up getting the oatmeal raisin cookie skillet, s'mores, and bread pudding. We would definitely get all of them again!

Not before.

Best place for grilled cheese and dessert. Absolutely delicious. I'm definitely coming back!

Awesome dessert place, which is rare for this area. The atmosphere is very casual. The cookie skillet is on point. Good selection of gelato too.

I had the Artichoke Goat Cheese with sun dried tomatoes. I had rosemary and olive oil deep river chips. Hat sandwich is always soooooo delicious and they serve it hot.

Really really good sandwhiches and salads. Nice beers and cocktails. Awesome dessert. Kind of small so frequently crowded. Come at an off time.
