Flava is located in the Food Court of the Global Mall, formerly known as the Hickory Hollow Mall. They serve authentic Jamaican food including curry chicken, curry goat, jerk chicken and patties. I had the curry goat, rice and peas and plantains and was very impressed. The food quality was better than the last couple of times I've gone to Jamaicaway, and I received a larger portion for about the same price. The only reason I didn't give a full five stars is because when I stopped by at 12, I was told they were running behind schedule and wouldn't be open until 12:30, even though they are supposed to be open at 11. Another lady mentioned the same thing happened to her when she had stopped by on another day. When I returned at 1 I still had to wait 5-10 minutes for my food to be ready. Not the best way to do business, but it was definitely worth the wait. I will return, mainly because Flava is so much closer than Jamaicaway. I just hope they can stick to the opening hours.
