We came in here during a recent business trip to Nashville and while the food was excellent, the service was shit. I'll start with the good stuff first...the food. The hamburgers in Five Guys are some of the best that I have ever had and well worth the price. You pay a little more but you get A LOT of food. We got a very generous amount of fries with our order and all of the peanuts that we could eat while we were waiting on the food. Now for the bad...I had heard that the customer service at Five Guys was always really great so we must have caught these guys on a bad night. One guy in particular stood out.....This guy named "Zachary" who acted like he was doing a favor by taking my order and spoke like he had a mouthful of marbles. I kept having to ask him to repeat himself because I couldn't understand what he was saying. He was real surly and we weren't the only ones who noticed. When we were eating he came back to where we were sitting and snapped at a table full of people that were sitting near us and told them not to use the back door to come in and then went and locked the door so other people couldn't come in. He was real hateful about it. We can't wait to go to another Five Guys here in the ATL, but we would never go back to this one.

Oh, Five Guys! I fell in love with you when I lived in D.C. I thought I was lost without you once I moved back home. But you have followed me and called to me, Oh Temptress (Tempters?). There's a reason why they are proud of their numerous awards, especially the Cheap Eats/Best Burger in Town awards. These suckers are so good they are bad for you! During this visit, I had the regular Bacon Burger with "Everything" on it. I forgot to ask them to grill the bacon hard, but it was still a delicious treat. If you order the fries, never go for the "large," because they give you more than enough with the small even if you are sharing it with two people. The fries here are not the crispiest because they use peanut oil, instead of vegetable oil, but they are still delicious. My one complaint on this trip is that the fry guy over seasoned the Cajun fries, so it was a tad bit salty. Overall, it was a wonderful gluttonous experience.

Dear Lord Nashville needs a good burger, but kids, don't be fooled...this is NOT it. It may, however, be that place you go to when you are drunk beyond belief and THINK its amazing. Sadly, having only been there sober, I can tell you its a big old greasy burger in an atmosphere reviled only by McDonalds in over the top bright lighting. Somehow somebody convinced these folks that have bags of potatoes what cute or (God forbid) healthy looking, so they decorated with them. If you want a REAL burger, splurge and go to Stoney River at lunch or Flemings for happy hour. $5-$9 and so much better. Leave the Five Guys to the college kids.

This is a great option if you are looking for a decent, quick, fatty dinner option. We ate here on the way to a Predators game the other night. Likes: - All toppings are included! And they have many toppings to choose from. - If you order the burger without a bun it is gluten free. - The fries are gluten free. - They serve Coke products. Dislikes: - The burger is average tasting. Warning: The burgers come double unless you specifically ask for single.

Damn you FIVE GUYS!!! You really need to change you name to "FIVE GALS"... For as often as I grab a Bacon Cheese Burger with mayo, lettuce, onions, jalapenos, and hot sauce and a whole bag of cajun fries.... Sorry my mouth started watering again... But my love is starting to question me on why I'm always with Five Guys... The location is great... yeah the parking for cars are in the back, so what! I got a Bonneville, and I love swinging her to the front parking toll and advertise your burgers as I unfold the foil to reveal it's goodness. Really you can't beat their burgers for the price. Overall you got a welcoming cashier and crew in the back flipping burgers, wide range of tables, two ketchup dispensers (important if your a ketchup lover like myself), free peanuts, free refills (MISTA PIB!)... I really should stop.... But once you get you meal you'll realize you got an extra scoop of fries!!! I'll be right back and finish this review later.... I got to run and get something.... my tummy is already growling... Hello Five Guys!

My friend and I were driving around Nashville when we passed by Five Guys. She was so excited and said we have to go there for dinner. Her family ate at a Five Guys in FL, and she said it was really good. She totally hyped it up for me and I was really looking forward to dinner. We came in just right before a line had started for placing orders. The restaurant was very clean, and there's a lot of room inside. I ordered my small cheeseburger with onions. I thought it was cool that they listed where their potatoes for french fries came from that day. My cheeseburger was fine. I've definitely had waay better burgers. Cali= In-n-Out & NY= Shake Shack. I was disappointed. Seeing all the press that they have had over the years, I thought this burger would be just as good as In-n-Out and Shake Shack- but it was a dud. They definitely do give you a lot of french fries, but I wasn't in a french fry eating mood that night so no extra points there. There's also a self serving peanut station. You can grab some peanuts while you wait for your burger to be cooked. Please be courteous and don't make a mess on the floor/table because someone does have to pick it up.

First time here, I'll have to say their burgers were Fat, Fresh and Messy. There are Peanuts offered to snack on as your burgers are prepared. The French Fries are simply Fresh Cut Potatoes fried up, not frozen and compressed with who knows what ingredients added, what a concept, serve Fresh Fried Potatoes. I like it.

The South's answer to a lack of In-n-Out, Five Guys excels in its simplicity. It sells burgers, with toppings of your choice, cooked to order when you order, and cooked fast. No, its not In-n-Out, for those who have experiences it, but they aren't bad burgers at all, and are inexpensive and taste so much better than anything at other fast food restaurants. You can find them sprinkled all over town, and they offer the same fast and friendly service. You can decide what you want or don't want on your burger and BOOM its done. Have it your way but a whole lot less gross. A clean, almost clinical eating space but this isn't the kind of place where you linger. However, if you want a fast burger, I would recommend this over a McDonalds or Wendy's anyday.

Y'all I love Five Guys. The burgers are what burgers should be plump and juicy and they have so many options of how to outfit the burger. This is one of my favorite crazy cheat meals. The fries are fried in Peanut oil so watch out if you have an allergy.

Best burgers ever! Five Guys burgers are amazing. They have that really good old fashioned taste to them. The fries are awesome too. Service is fast and friendly.

GOOD A** BURGERS!!! I ventured to this location with a classmate who has been here several times but it was my first. Ordered a jr. burger and small fry....THE JR. BURGER LOOKS LIKE A REGULAR SIZE BURGER!! and Mann was it good! Fries were hot and customer service was outstanding.. Cons: Didn't care for the parking that's behind the restaurant its kind of a inconvenience but due to its location they really don't have a choice! WILL DEFIANTLY RETURN!

My wife and I stopped in yesterday afternoon to grab a quick snack before seeing a movie. We were able to find free parking behind the building. Even though we did not have trouble parking, I could imagine at busier times this would be a problem. The restaurant was about 50% full, but all the empty tables were clean and ready for use. There was no one in line and our order was taken quickly and our food arrived quickly, to be made to order. Since we were just having a snack, we were advised by the order taker to try the regular size fries and drinks. We shared (1) order of regular fries with drinks and it was more than enough for us to share. There were free peanuts along with mustard, ketchup, and malt readily available for the fries. The fries were all little too salty for my taste, but overall the experience was pleasant and met my expectations.

I am still on the quest for a good burger in Nashville--this place has the potential for being good but they don't listen. 1st time I went, I ordered a cheeseburger my first time (w/o my husband) and the cheese was not melted--it's a burger with cheese and the cheese should be melted--all part of the cheese burger experience. 2nd time I went back with my husband and this time I asked if they would melt my cheese. (UNREAL) I get my burger with a cold slice of american cheese. I don't get it. At this point I should have sent it back--I sat there and took one for the team--at the hamburger with a cold slice of cheese. Is this how all 5 Guys are? Really am I the first to complain about the cheese? Well until I get confirmation that the cheese will be melted on my burger the next time I certainly won't be going back and won't recommend to anyone else. The fries are fine (personalizing where the potatoes came from) but the burger...why wasn't the cheese melted? I wonder was that their intention, do they like cold cheese on a burger, is this a Nashville thing and most importantly will they even read this review?

I would have to take my time and think if I were to make a list of the top burger places in town, but I know Five Guys would be in the running. Oh yeah, and FREE PEANUTS!

I have always been a fan of 5 guys and this location is no different. Gotta love the variety of toppings that you can put on the burgers. Cajun fries are the way to go.

Five Guys might need a few more Guys at this location for lunchtime. It is busy! Drawbacks include shared parking with the nearby businesses, but there is a lot under the building which has a good chance of having at least one spot open for you. Otherwise, you might have a difficult time finding a spot on the street, or having to pay to park. Overall, they deliver to expectation on the burgers and fries.

  • Josh R.

Not a fan of this place. The burgers are good but not great, and the fries are pretty decent. I wouldn't dislike it so much except for two things. First, these are the messiest burgers I've ever eaten. I'm not a fan of a burger that I have to eat with a knife and fork. And the second thing is, this is the most expensive burger joint I've ever seen. When I get a burger, fries, and drink, my total is in the $13 range. That's ridiculous. For $5 less, I might eat here more often, but I'm not paying an arm and a leg for a soggy, falling apart burger.

3 stars for consistency. I've been to this particular one 2 or 3 times now, and I have yet to have a bad experience. I have yet to figure out why you would need two pieces of meat AND two pieces of cheese on a cheeseburger, so I always get the Little Cheeseburger. They have always been delicious. We've always gotten excellent service, too. My ONLY complaint is the fries. They are too salty, and they are always a little too soggy. The parking is actually not a pain in the ass, which is kind of odd for this city. If you're lucky, you can snag a street spot. If you're even luckier, it is after 6pm and you won't have to pay the meters. However, there is plenty of parking in the back and under the building, and it is free to park there for the first 2 hours. You can definitely be in and out in under two hours. Now if they would just do something about their fries...

Burgers are good, with plenty of choices for toppings, and the prices are very good for the food. The fries are also really good and fresh, very substantial. A "regular" order is a good couple of potatoes worth of fries and fills a cup and almost half a bag. Even if the burgers are on the thin side, they still taste good. They also have pretty good hot dogs. And one thing I really like are the tons of peanuts they have. When I'm just hanging out with a few friends and waiting for food, the peanuts are perfect to snack on (and they're healthy!) and pass the time with.

The fries at this location are always soggy and the burgers are sometimes dry and overcooked. Not sure why this location is not as good as the others...

So shoot me. I love a good burger and fries from time to time. Some people like a good chili dog, some people like pizza, some people like fried chicken... Give me a burger and fries and call it a day! This place has never let me down. I don't care how thin the burger is, I don't care that they don't make it medium rare. I love the taste of the burger, sans the bun, wrapped in oodles of lettuce, and I eat it with a fork and knife. I do! and they over compensate the burger with a mountain of good tasty fries. I know, I know, this is not Gabby's. But hey..... when you're jonesing for a burger and fries, and you don't feel like cooking, and it's Sunday, Five Guys is open!!!!!! And you know those nights you were out partying and you forgot to eat dinner? This place is open til 10, EVERY day! oh, oh, oh, and you can order online. So you just got out of the movies, it's 9pm, you're hungry, you don't want to spend a lot of money, you just want to eat something salty, crunchy, and you want to go home and dive into bed... This is the place. Score!

Can I dare to go against the flow and say that I don't like Five Guys at all? I am honestly agog at all the fuss about this place. It seems to show up in posh locations touting good burgers and swanky clean-looking black and white minimalist decor, but besides the window dressing, I don't see much else going on. The burgers are thin, overcooked, and completely tasteless (unless you really like salt, but more on this in a minute). There's other stuff to fill up the space voided by the super thin burger and the wide in circumference, but inadequate to house even a skinny burger, bun, like lettuce and mushrooms and onions and the like, but it doesn't make up for the lack of actual burger in a place that supposedly specializes in burgers. Thin, tasteless, and over-salted. That's all I got from it. It's a glorified Sonic burger - actually, I think Sonic's is better. I'll move on to the fries. They are hand-cut. I'll give them that, but the two times I have been dragged to this place by people I felt I couldn't be completely honest with about my preference for places that serve good burgers, I have felt like the fries could have been so much more with so much less.....salt. The first time I went, the fries were totally inedible. They had so much salt they made me cough, and the second time, they were better, but not by much. I see some chains, and I can see why they spread, but I am baffled by the Emperor's New Clothes effect of Five Guys.

This Five Guys always has great service. The food is just a touch pricy for burgers and fries, but we don't come here all that often so it seems just fine from a value point of view.

I don't normally review chain restaurants, but I wanted to give my two cents on this one! First of all, I am mostly vegetarian, but sometimes I get these intense cravings for steak or burgers and say "screw it" to eating healthy. This past Sunday was one of those times and I decided to sate my desire for juicy meat at Five Guys since I'd heard such glowing reviews about it. Since I rarely eat meat, I suppose I don't have much to compare to Five Guys burgers, but I was let down. Don't get me wrong... it was good and I felt satisfied, but I expected it to be mind-blowing and it definitely wasn't. Just a regular ol' cheeseburger that was only a few rungs above a McDonald's burger. The fries were pretty darn good, although the regular size order was massive and my partner and I weren't able to finish it between the two of us! I will probably be back, however, because it's pretty cheap and still better than something from a fast food joint.

Yet another franchise I've only ever tried for the first time while in Nashville. Yet another burger. a.) I love how for a "regular" order of fries, there were at least 2 large Russet-style potatoes' worth of it. I could barely eat an eighth of it. You could see the skins on these. b.) On the other hand, the Cajun-style seasoning didn't knock my socks off. c.) Clean and plenty of seats. d.) Friendly cashier who patiently explained the items since it was my first time there. e.) You can tell the burgers were hand-made -- the burgers weren't entirely round. They looked like I formed them, myself. f.) A tad on the expensive side. $10+ for fries, a small cheeseburger, and a drink?!? The ingredients were fresh but the jury is still out if the price was worth it. g.) For a place which advertises itself as a staunch supporter of not advertising itself, it advertises itself rather blatantly, with all of the glowing restaurant reviews decorating the walls. i.) Options are limited. Burgers. Hot dogs. Fries. But lots of choices in terms of condiments for your burger. j.) Free peanuts. But if you have a severe peanut allergy, I wouldn't recommend stepping in here. k.) Interesting how they store their boxes of peanuts and peanut oil and potatoes in plain view in the dining area. Overall, I thought the burgers weren't any worse or any better than other places. I would give this place a higher rating if they also offered onion rings.

3.5 stars So my friends and I were starving on a late Friday night and we were trying to decide where to go to feed the hunger. We wanted something unhealthy, potentially greasy, and something that would satisfy this emptiness in our stomach. And all at once, we agreed, "FIVE GUYS". I ordered a Little Cheeseburger. But, don't be deceived by the title, the Little Burgers would be more than enough to fill you up--the difference between the Regular and the Little is just an extra meat patty. And I enjoy a little more balanced meat to vegetable ratio in my burger anyway. After ordering, they give you a number and you can wait until your number is called. In the mean time, while my stomach was about to implode upon itself, we helped ourselves to the complimentary peanuts. Yes, peanuts. Huge tubs of peanuts and bags of peanuts line the restaurant and you are welcome to take as many peanuts as you like. We each quickly devoured a basket of peanuts. After a few minutes, they called my number and my lovely cheeseburger came out. The patties are always juicy (slightly greasy) but yummy. What I love about Five Guys though are the plethora of topping options and the detail to which you can customize them. For someone as picky as me, I really appreciate being able to customize every topping that is placed on the burger without getting weird judgmental looks from the guy behind the register as I describe that I want a cheeseburger with "only onions" meaning no ketchup, no mustard, no mayo. And I love being able to pile on grilled mushrooms and green peppers. Overall, great flavors, my only complaint was the sogginess of the burger. By the time I opened my burger (in the restaurant, no less), my hamburger buns seemed limp and lifeless, barely holding together the burger itself. I really wish they toasted their buns or somehow solved this problem so that they would really stand up to all of the toppings they cram inside. Their fries are pretty good too. They remind me a lot of Boardwalk Fries. You can get them cajun style or normal style. The cajun style kind has a cool paprika-filled seasoning sprinkled over the fries that reminds me of Old Bay seasoning. Also, like with the Little Burgers, a "Regular Fries" will more than fill you and your dining partner up. Use caution if you want to order a "Large Fries" because it really is a heck of a lot of fries. Even after coming in so hungry, we couldn't finish off the Large Fries we ordered. Again, my only complaint with the fries, if I had to make one, is that they seemed a little limp and soggy. Or some of them did. Suffice it to say, we left Five Guys plenty full and I would definitely return again when the craving for a cheeseburger becomes unbearable. Another word of warning: greasy floors. One of my pet peeves. Wear shoes with traction, lest you slip and fall. Also, free 2-hour restaurant parking behind the building. Although, you unfortunately cannot enter the restaurant from the back entrance for "security reasons". Which, by the way, we found out the hard way as one of my friends let in someone who wanted to come in from the back and was then publicly admonished over the loud speaker that the back door is locked for security purposes. When one of the workers left the door cracked open as he took the garbage out, we almost considered closing it--"for security reasons".

Five Guys has good burgers. Selection is quite sparse and simple: there is the default burger, a cheese burger, a small burger, and some grilled cheese sandwiches and other things that no one ever orders here, because their specialty is burgers. The default burgers come with two beef patties and tomatoes, lettuce for below $6. Other toppings are possible and free, including my favorite combination, mushrooms, bell peppers, jalapenos and hot sauce. The burgers are fried in oil made from peanuts, which fills boxes all around the store and are free snacks while waiting for your meal. The burgers come freshly made, piping hot in aluminum foil. They are greasy as heck. Consume quickly, or the bun will soon get soggy. The fries are also fried in peanut oil and are freshly made, crisp and delicious. The Cajun have a great additional spice kick, but at $3.50 are one of the most expensive order of fries I have ever seen. Together, a meal costs around $10. It is a nice place to visit on that rare occasion where you say, "oh bugger to my arteries", and need to consume something to knock a few months off your life expectancy.

Can I rate this a very enthusiastic, "A-OK!" with a big smile? You know, I don't really know why 5 Guys posts all the reviews they've ever received in every newspaper or magazine on their walls. The reviews are great and all (I mean, who am I to say I don't like reviews!), but the food can speak for itself. Let's just put it out there that 5 Guys is a go-to greasy burger joint, which is great when you're craving it. And yes, I was craving it. Oh, it's so simple--a streamlined menu of little burgers, regular burgers, and "other stuff" along with your choice of toppings make the decision process a breeze. There are peanuts to gorge yourself with as you wait for your food that is cooked literally behind the cashier. Personally, I've always gone for the little burger/cheeseburger, but not because I don't have appetite--these burgers are BIG(ish). The regular ones aren't much bigger, but they do have another meat patty. In terms of burger joints, 5 Guys is great. I almost always inhale the food, so I'm pretty sure that I enjoy my experience every time...I like that I can still taste the potato part of the fries (both cajun and regular). When you order these thick-cut fries, they give it to you in a paper bag and they're so generous with their fries, you could feed two with the regular size fries and four with the larger size. Side note: They also have a cup in the bag of fries, which I imagine in reality they use to scoop up the fries, but I like believe it's their way of saying, "Hey a normal portion would fit in this dinky cup, but because I like you I just put it all in the bag." I like that I can have all the toppings I want on my burger, which for me is all of them. And, the food is quite fresh. The only problem is their bun, which really can't quite contain the explosion of goodness going on in between. Next time, I'll remember to eat it Chipotle-style and rip off the foil wrapping little by little instead of unwrapping the burger in all its glory. All in all, I'd say don't let the walls tell you how great the food is--you might be underwhelmed. But I still go back from time to time when I want a greasy burger, so maybe they're better than I think...

Every time I've been to this location it has been a pleasant and delicious experience. In fact, now that I think about it, the location in Atlanta and the one in Cool Springs were also populated with super-friendly employees. I don't know if it's because I'm a chick or because I'm obviously pregnant or because they're just really nice. I love that the burgers are made to order. They're always all misshapen and you can tell that they were hand-pattied. The ingredients taste nice and fresh - if you get a burger with mayo and tomato, for example, the beef is hot and the condiments are fresh and cold and crisp. That's one thing that I definitely miss when I have exactly two minutes to eat and am forced into FastFoodLand for a burger - they always taste like they were made an hour or two ago. Taking ingredients away to ensure a fresh patty doesn't ever seem to do the trick either! Five Guys tastes like a delicious burger that your husband or friend (or anyone but you) just cooked on the grill outside and served up just the way you like it. Because you know food made by someone else is always better than something you had to do yourself. The only thing I really don't like about Five Guys so far is the excess. I know that we Americans are all about MORE MORE MORE and FAT FAT FAT, but seriously, no one needs a minimum of two patties on a burger. And when you order fries, they're like $3 and they fill the freaking bag to the brim with them - jumping and leaping joyously out of their little cardboard container. Seriously, could I pay half the amount and get half the fries (or less!)?? I crave Five Guys every couple of months (more during pregnancy when I'm jonesin' for red meat like a FIEND!), and when I go I always ask them to please not give me two million french fries. Because honestly, I will eat. them. all. And then I will complain all day about feeling "fat" and "ugly" like a typical woman and no one wants that. Overall, I dig Five Guys. I hear they have grilled cheese sandwiches, which is a caloriffic favorite of mine, but I can't get past the MEAT MEAT MEAT craving far enough to actually order it. Maybe I will one day.. Five Guys: A bit pricey, but worth it when you get the craving.

I am going to go against the grain a bit here, but Five Guys is not that great. I think that the reason that Five Guys is so popular has more to do with lowered expectations than actual quality. Let me explain. I think over the past few decades we have been exposed to enough terrible hamburgers and fries from fast food establishments and lousy restaurants that our expectations of a good burger have been lowered so far that a passable hamburger seems amazing in comparison. That is exactly what Five Guys has, a passable burger. The fries are good and of course they are fresh, but aren't fries supposed to be fresh. I suppose this is why the "craft" burger has taken off all over the city and across the country. When people forget that a product is supposed to be good you can get away with charging a premium for anything that is above average. That get's me to my other point. After all is said and done, with fries and a drink, Five Guys is a $10 meal. There are dozens of places in Nashville that have excellent burgers for around $10. Hell I rarely walk out of Gabby's for more than $8 and that is a far superior product in every way. Most of the sports bar's and pubs in the area have Burgers for less than $10 so I don't really get it. Overall, I think that Five Guys is okay, but they are not particularly special or particulary a good value. Long live the era of low expectations.

Yes! This is the best fast food style burger in town! The bacon cheese burger is enormous and super juicy or greasy, whichever you prefer to call it. What makes this place unique is that you can get whatever you want on your burger at no extra charge. Mushrooms, green peppers, jalapeños, and A-1 steak sauce are just a few of extras that I put on my burger to make it extra delicious. I am not such of a fan of the fries. They are the kind that have some potato skin on, and they are just not for me. Granted, they are not bad, just too "natural" and way too salty! Inside, the place is super clean and the bathrooms are, too. They have plenty of seating. It is pretty funny, but they have these boxes of shelled peanuts everywhere for snacking. I don't really eat peanuts, but I think it's cool that they have them everywhere.

My flight back from Nashville was cancelled due to the blizzard and it was already about 8pm. I wanted some decent food before I hit the highway for an only-stop-for-gas 12 hour drive in fair weather and who knows how long as I was heading towards the teeth of the storm. I tried 2 BBQ joints--both closed. I drove down West End Av. Every crappy fast food I don't eat seemed to be representing--KFC, McD's, BK, Wendy's, Jack In The Box, Taco Bell, Checkers. One hideous logo after another representing everything wrong with America. Ugh--I resigned myself to grabbing a bag of jerky and some nuts at a rest stop. Then I saw the red and white checkerboard and all was well.

Five Guys has a pretty basic setup. No specialty burgers or any of that. I snagged a bacon cheeseburger, plus a regular-sized drink and a small order of fries. Shockingly, this ran me nearly $15! Just the fries and drink alone were over $5. Wow, those are clearly Vanderbilt prices. Everything comes in paper bags. I wish they had trays for dine-in customers. I liked the hand-cut style fries. I'm not sure whether they gave me twice as many as I ordered, or whether the "little" size is double the amount that the fry cup holds. Either way, I had enough for a full cup and the entire bottom of my bag. The burger was exceptionally thick, probably because the cheese was stuffed between two patties. The plain old sesame seed bun was nothing special. Most of the flavor here came from the bacon, so I was glad to have it. My burger was decent, but still only stood near the top end of the fast food spectrum. Five Guys was certainly a filling and decently-satisfying meal, but at these prices I doubt I'll be back.

Checked in to my hotel and walked down for a quick lunch. They offer burgers with many options to serve all taste. The burgers are juicy and moist. There is a self serve drink dispenser.

In Nashville for a few days and we were hungry upon arrival. Didn't want to walk far and this was close to our hotel. First time to this chain...it was nice to choose whatever toppings you want on your burger. The little burger is one patty, the regular is two. I went with one and shared a little fries with my husband. There were tons of fries for both of us. I really enjoyed them...hot and delicious. Super quick if you're in a hurry or close to "hangry" as we were! Also had hot dogs on the menu...something I don't see often at a burger place.

Two words: Cajun fries. This is the chipotle of burgers. A little more expensive than fast food, but just as convenient. They're always pretty busy, so go on an off peak time if you want to sit in and eat! If you are taking to go, any time is fine as they are very time efficient!

disgusting. There burgers and fries are not worth bragging about. Burgers taste like McDonalds; fries are greasy. I can make a better burger at home on the grill. Skip it and go to Ted's Montana Grill instead.

The burgers are greasy awesomeness!!!! You tell them what you want on it and that's what you get. The fries are plentiful and good. Highly recommend but don't go during peak time it gets pretty backed up.

So if you come from the West Coast, you probably have heard of In-n-Out. They are basically the most amazing hamburgers. We heard that this place was pretty close to having the best burgers out there so we checked it out. Order at the counter, pretty simple menu with options of a Small Burger or Cheeseburger or a Larger version. Fries and fountain drink. I have gone a few times and get the small cheeseburger. It's plenty of food for me and can get very messy so get lots of napkins. They serve pretty good fries and they are not shy on giving you extra fries. All in all, the food is great. We will be going back there for when we are craving a burger!

The bacon cheeseburger here is my favorite fast food burger in Nashville. Also, they always have great customer service. If you're going for the first time -- you'll probably find that the "Little" burgers are plenty for an average person, and you can easily split a regular order of fries (which are generally overflowing from the cup) with a couple people.

If you are looking for good fries, you found it. If you're looking for great burgers go down the street to Ted's. The only issue I have with the burgers is that they get extra soggy from the expo line to my bag. I don't know how they accomplish that, it's like some kind of super power. They should call it steamy burgerz, cause I don't know what the five guys is all about. There were only 3 guys when I went and you can definitely fit more than 5 people in the restaurant. Sorta pricey.

This place is great! Burgers are a bit greasy but they are awesome (and don't forget the fresh cut fries)!

First class burgers, and unbelievable fries, although the hot dogs leave something to be desired. Like above, the place is so clean, you could eat off the bathroom floors and not worry about any sanitary issues. I suppose some people would say others but this place puts Fat Mo's, a Nashville staple, to shame. The burgers are first rate, really really good. I've had burgers in several places and there is truly nothing like them. And their fries are cut onsite, and fried the same day. The portion of fries is amazing. At first you think the regular fries are going to be only a styrofoam cup's worth, but when you get your bag, it is the bottom is covered with fries, and that's not even counting the cup of fries you already saw. Now, as a hot dog man, there are hot dog place way better all over Nashville, and you can check those out in my List of the best Hot Dogs in Nashville. If you go to Five Guys, go for the burgers. The burgers are among the best in Nashville.

Probably the only non-local place I will ever vote 5 stars. They make a burger that is tremendous (as everyone knows), but the biggest difference is the fries. Proper Five Guys procedure: Take the burger out of the bag. Dump all fries in the bag and remove the styrofoam cup. Sprinkle some vinegar on the fries. Shake the bag and repeat. Finally, tear the bag and set in the middle of the table. Dig in.

I don't usually like burgers and fries ... But I love this place. Nice thin patty with tasty toasted bun and unlimited free toppings! I do wish the fries were thinner and crispier ... But this would still be my fave burger/fry place in Nashville!

I don't understand the frenzy about this chain. The burgers are ok, but way expensive for what they are. One cheeseburger, small fries and a drink came to over 10 dollars. It's fast food, it's a chain, it's not fabulous so I don't understand the price point. My order was prepared pretty quickly, despite the fact the place was packed. My favorite was the fries....but my goodness there were way to many fries to eat, and I threw away alot! I won't go back probably, just because I thought it was way too expensive and the quality wasn't mind blowing. Believe me, I will drop some money on a good meal, and ten bucks isn't alot, but it WAS alot for what I got.

Gotta be honest. Did not live up to the hype. AJ's Alehouse in Bellevue has far better burgers. Five Guys burger had almost no flavor.

Coming from CA, In-and-Out Burgers are the standard. Five Guys comes as close as I have found in Nashville, TN. I try to stay away from chains but I will come here again. The burgers are made to order and they are damn good. You can share a smail fry with a friend and I found the spicy fries just a bit too spicey. Plain one for next time.

I've already trashed the other Green Hills location but this one I love. I've never had a bad experience with the food here. The only bad experience I've had is with the parking garage. It seems to be under control now, but when they first opened I got stuck down there for 45 minutes. With having a gated garage open onto a one-way street that immediately hits a stop light the line could get pretty backed up. This caused me, and countless others, to sit, with our vehicles running, in line for that stretch of time. If you come and the gate is down, signallying that you'll have to pay to park - remember that Five Guys does validate. Back to the food though: they've always gotten my order right at this location and their fries are always hot out of the fryer. The perfect hangover food. It can get a little crazy around lunch but that's most places.

I've eaten here a lot and have been to many of the other locations all over the South and it's cosistantly good. However, I agree with another reviewer that it is a little overrated. The burger is solid for a fast food style burger but nothing to get too excited about. The reason I keep coming back is for the Cajun fries. They are fresh and fried to order and they give you a huge sandwich bag full. Don't miss those!
