Now I know this place is at a truck stop but it seriously has pretty good food. Did I mention you can have seconds? Or thirds? Or fourths? Plus it has a decent salad bar. I try to eat everywhere around town at least once and I have visited this place on more than one ocassion. This truck stop was completely remodeled after the flood and is very nice. I know it's in a not so nice part of town but they have security so it is never been an issue there. I would feel good about letting my wife go there at lunch alone if that tells you anything. The place is always clean and the waitresses have been very nice. Sometimes you might have to wait a little bit because they have a lot of tables but I've never had bad service there. One day when you and friends are looking for someplace to go to lunch suggest this place you will not be sorry you did!

Typical truck stop diner. Friendly service and way too much food for your own good. Be careful when the waitress asks "do you want a refill?" I thought I was ordering another soda and she brought me another open faced pot roast sandwich. That is just sick. It turns out 1500 calories where not enough. Good food. This is why truckers are all in shape (hey! Round is a shape)

Little slice of heaven. All you can eat breakfast specials. Clean and remodelled after the great flood. Plenty of space to relax. Not a crowded breakfast dinner spot. Enjoy

There are just times when quantity flat out beats quality, and since there is so little at this restaurant, located inside the Travel Center of America off of 1st Street near the James Robertson Bridge. The only way to describe it is for you to imagine a place where you pay diner prices for various dishes, but they keep bringing it to you if you ask for more. Yes, it's an all you can eat place. If I a really craving a steak, I don't go to any of the traditional places, where $25 gets you the cheapest cut of meat, I go to country pride, open 24/7, and keep eating steak and potatoes until I'm so full I can barely walk. Is the quality of the steak even moderately good? No. Is it a place you'd go on a date? Nope. Is this a place non-truckers want to admit they go to? Probably not. Is it a heck of a deal where they'll keep bringing you food until you burst? Absolutely! Relatively easy to get to. No one will find you there, and you won't be so light in the wallet.

Want to meet a trucker? Come have some coffee at this east Nashville truck stop spot. Inside the Travel Centers of America truck stop, the food is guaranteed to stick to your gullet and fill ya up.
