We had lunch here Saturday while exploring the neighborhood. In Chicago it is not warm enough to eat outside for very many months out of the year, so I love anyplace with giant open windows or outdoor seating. We came in on a nice sunny day, and sat by an open window. The place was kinda empty, but there were still a few other tables filled. There were some Chelsea fans watching an EPL game, which impressed me. There were different sports shown on all of the different tvs. We really just wanted somewhere to sit and eat. I had a delicious berry limeade drink that was nice and refreshing. For lunch our party of 3 had 2 salmon salads and a catfish po boy sandwich. Everything looked great. The waitress didn't even flip out when we each altered our meals.

Service was horrible. Took 15 min just to get us menus, screwed up my gf's order (requested items on the side BC of allergies), brought appetizer after meal, cleared my plate before I was finished, and never once refilled our water. Witnessed multiple other parties leaving without bothering to order because service was so bad. Will not return and do not recommend to others.

Great local feel, solid service, and good beer selection. The big open windows keep a good breeze in the place, which is welcome on a cool afternoon for watching sports...

A true UK bar in the heart of Nashville! The food is decent bar food, and the service can be a little slow at times, but I love the atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. Go Cats!

Just your standard Southern sports/dive bar. I enjoyed the place. It's good to switch it up from time to time.

Their cheese tots are just what a girl craves when needing to soak up some of the nights festivities. Stopped in here on Saturday after we had made some previous partaking pitstops. We decided on 2 more rounds, some cheese tots and a quesadilla. The beer was priced decent, the tots were off the chain and the quesadilla was definitely fresh and not some frozen garbage. All in all, I think this is a pretty decent place. A little too sports heavy for my taste, but a great watering hole for anyone in the area.

We were looking for a sports bar within walking distance of our hotel on West End and were directed here. As expected there are many TV screens and even a real dart board. Also many different beers to chose from. The food was as expected, bar food. Nothing great, but will satisfy your hunger. However, I can only give this place 1 star due to their poor service. This is while we were sitting at the bar. I have never seen more disinterested servers in one place!

I probably wouldn't have come here on purpose, but I was meeting a group here to watch a game. It was a Sunday afternoon, so it wasn't busy or smoky (as other Yelpers have complained). This place really is nothing more than your average watering hole. I think that the food may be the only thing that is a little bit above average. I asked the server if the wings were hot, and she said that they weren't really. I asked if the guys back in the kitchen could make them hot, and she said, "I think they have ghost pepper". Now you're talking my language! She asked if I wanted the sauce on the side in case it was too hot, and I said absolutely not. She looked at me like I was crazy, and maybe I am. The wings did not disappoint. They were dripping with hell-fire. They were the second best wings I have ever had (and I have had my fair share of wings in my time). I think they burned a blister on my lip, but it was worth it. I think the kitchen staff was amazed that I ate all of them. If the Corner pub didn't have such awesome wings, I wouldn't really have a reason to go back. I now may find myself coming up with an excuse to go there now. Botttom Line: If you are looking for a place with atmosphere then steer clear. If you want decent food (the wings) and decent beer, and a place to watch the game, then this may be your place. Pub = 3 stars | Wings = 5 stars

For a place I don't like I used to always end up here. It is pretty centrally located if you're looking to bomb around downtown or West End. The beer is reasonably priced. That's where my appreciation ends. If there isn't a game on it's loud. Very loud. Like me and two friends and two other tables are all that is there and for some reason they're blairing music like we're in an Eastern European disco, forcing us to yell across the table to speak to eachother. And I've never been impressed with the food, the chicken is passible, but hardly the best in Nashville. There are numerous places within walking distance with better eats.

Bar-hoppin on a wild and crazy night in he area---this place had space and wasn't as crowded as the other bars---this shoud have been a clue---but i proceeded to a table---the waitress was indifferent and a tad on the put out side..got our beer , drinks, and food....fish an chips-- is a big basket of ore-ida fries and two little bitty fish chunks....was with a vegeterian--she had to get order grilled cheese and baked potato---not much on the menu for her. The cheese dip was good but not enough of it---and my side salad was fresh and a great value at 1.99--it was rather big too... Then the rain started coming down and I was getting rained on....looked around other people were too....and not just a drop....the rain was hitting our food..not much was done.... they did not offer to move us---i moved myself.....they just started passing out little beer buckets everywhre to catch the rain...i would think they could have offered to give a free appetizer or comp something---- Won't be going back unless I hear they water proofed the place..and got some servers with personality....

I have to say that this place has great wings. Actually, all of their food is yummy. Servers are always sweet. Make sure you don't go in here if there's a University of Kentucky game on. Fans gather here to watch games and it can be a bit obnoxious and loud.

Good place to have a few drinks and watch a game. Decent beer selection and happy our specials. The food is just average bar food, nothing exceptional. I was a little disappointed in one aspect of my service. When I ordered my first beer, the server asked if I wanted a bucket, which I declined because I didn't plan on drinking that much. Inevitably, my binge alcoholism ensued, and I asked the sever is she could apply my first 3 beers to a bucket. She said that if I didn't order a bucket, she couldn't change the order. Kinda sounded like BS to me, but didn't keep me from getting a little buzz. As advice, just order the bucket.

Yuck. I was not a fan of the food here at all. I expected bar food, but I didn't expect overly greasy gross bar food. I came here on lunch with a couple friends from work. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap with fruit. Didn't really care for the wrap. The fried pickles were good, but very, very greasy. I wouldn't go back here. The server was very slow to bring out our check and to the food took forever. Everyone one of us felt sick after eating here. Not really sure why.

Who would have thought a little corner pub in Nashville would have such a UK following? We watched the UK game here with friends who had moved to the area from Kentucky, it was a great atmosphere and fun place to watch the game. Chicken tenders are amazing! Buffalo chicken wrap was awesome as well. Everybody at the table enjoyed what they ordered, service a little slow but to be expected during a busy Saturday night. The crinkle fries are the only thing keeping me from giving a 5, personally I just prefer the traditional style. I will go with curly fries next time!

If you are looking for some good bar food, good service, and great crowd, this is your spot. I was actually visiting from out of town and dropped by for a University of Kentucky game watch party. I had been to the restaurant before, but only for lunch. We ordered the Hot Chicken Chunks, among other menu items, and they were awesome. They are a must try if you are a buffalo wings fan (they are a tad spicy), but don't go in thinking they are exactly like buffalo wings - they are actually slightly different, and in my opinion, a nice change up. In addition to all the other good reasons I mentioned for visiting this establishment, I'll add that they have a very high volume of screens, most of which are modern, so it makes for watching sports very convenient. In fact, while we were in the bar, I don't think there was a screen that didn't have the "big game" on, which made it nice to know you could sit wherever you wanted in the establishment and be able to see the game (they also turned on audio throughout the bar, which was also a big bonus). Good experience overall! Especially for UK fans!

Corner Pub is a solid dive bar in Midtown. It's nice to have options that aren't super trendy or dressy, and Corner Pub fits the bill! It gets super smoky in here, so to be honest it's not my first choice, and I've never spent a long length of time inside due to it. But they often have games on and a good amount of seating. I really enjoy that they offer a decent tasting house wine for $6.50! Thanks for that guys. I've never had food here, so I can't speak to that and often just come in for a drink before passing on to the next bar. Maybe one day something will drive me to spend some more time here...

Oh, Corner Pub. Let's be honest, my friends and I have been a rowdy mess there so many times, I'm genuinely surprised our pictures aren't posted in a back room somewhere. Yup, we're usually THAT table. This spot is a favorite for Friday night (night starts at 4pm, right?) happy hour due to the location and 2 for 1's. The service is usually pretty good, but on busy Friday nights there have been a few less than stellar experiences. meh. I forgive them. Just keep the beer and cheese beans coming. They allow smoking inside so beware if you are sensitive to that sort of thing. Or just have a few beers and forget about it. They accommodate large groups - the side room you can reserve holds quite a few people. If you're looking for a quiet, classy after-dinner drink or a gourmet meal, look elsewhere. This is just a place to forget about the work week and have one too many beers and one too many fried foods while staying in your budget.

Great, friendly service with a smile. Food came out hot and quick. I had the Reuben sandwich with "Magic Fries". The sandwich was one of the best Reuben's I've ever had. Highly recommended for a beer, munchies and whatever game is on.

Pretty nice place to chill and watch some games or a UFC fight. Came in on a Saturday night and it was filled with UK fans watching the game. Stood around for half an hour or so before a table opened up. Got some beer and burgers while I watched the UFC fight. Food is good, pretty smokey, but overall it was fun.

This is one of my favorite places. I usually come here during the Titans away games. Bring a ton of friends and hangout for hours. Decent beer selection and above average food. Hot chicken chunks are classic. Today I drive from work (over 20 mins away) to the corner pub and there are maybe 4 tables. Bar is empty and a friend and I sat there. The bartender casually came up and got our beer order and walked away to finish her lunch. Let's think about priorities here. So she finally walked back after a few minutes and took our order right before we chose a table to sit at hoping for better service. Always sad to have a less than desirable experience at a place you like a lot. I hope she tips herself well for lunch.

If you read any of my other 130 reviews, this one ranks the lowest. 1. The whiskey is watered-down (no joke). 2. Both draft beers I tried tasted like the beer lines have never been cleaned = skunky. 3. The baked potato I had was half edible because it had been microwaved entirely too long. 4. The server showed disgust either towards our request or towards fellow staff when informed that our orders were incorrect. 5. The clinetale is not, well, umm, yea, I'm not going back.

Even the most seasoned drinkers and partyers (spelling?) need to take a break for some grub. The Corner Pub helped fill the emptiness in my stomach with enough grease and non alcoholic drinks that I was ready to head out for a few more stops on the drinking expedition to this city. Our group ordered the Big Brads Roast Beast ($8.50), the Chicken Quesadilla ($9 overpriced), and cheese fries ($6.50). The fries were not the best, as they use crinkle cut fries which I don't like and the cheese was some bland orangish stuff. We also got a side of ranch for .50 which I guess is reasonable. So, overall an OK meal that settled our stomachs. Service was a little slow and not the most attentive. *Happy hour is 3-7 M-F and all day (1/2 off well drinks, house wines, and $2 domestic drafts), Sunday ($2 domestic drafts).

Happened upon this place while on a work trip. Not bad but not great. It wasn't busy (Tuesday) which is more my style but not much for beer selection which is what I look for in a bar. It was a Tuesday so they were doing trivia. Legit questions but not a fan of the format, certainly not the enthusiasm from the crowd that I'm used to at my local trivia night.

Simply put, I love this place. For those of you have not been back lately, the bar has a new GM, and he has a lot of industry experience. He is a professional, and isn't busy fraternizing with the servers, which can often be the case with small pubs liken this. There was a short period of time when the place started to slide, but Yogi seems to have the ship back on course. As pubs go, the service is the best you can find, and their food is above average for this type of joint. I think they have the best hot chicken in town and their wings are as good as any that I have found in Nashville. If Corner Pub would transition to a non-smoking bar, I would give it five stars relative to their peers. I don't go to the pub much during the week, but on weekends the place is always packed with a good crowd... Mainly young folks, but there are plenty of people from all ages.

Mirrors my old experiences so I'm updating this: Friends of mine went in, sat down, were there for a few drinks, food, etc. When they went to pay the waitress said they had buffet coming, turned out they thought my friends were with a group that was running extremely late and was not there (room was not marked private in any way). They were heading out anyway and attempted to pay their bills and waited for the waitress to come back with them - she did and they put their cards to pay, and they waited, and waited but she never came back, the manager came out and told them to get out while they were still waiting for the waitress to come and get the tab. Not sure if the manager thought they were attempting to hold the seats or room or what (they were trying to pay) but he kicked out people with credit cards and bills in hand trying to pay. He did not come out and ask if there was a reason they were still in the room holding credit cards on top of their receipts, nor did he offer them any sort of niceness for being forced from the table they had been at for several drinks. He told them to get. That's about it - the place itself is ok, it's not worth going to though - you run into this stuff or watch as it's done to other tables. So many better options right in the area.

Eh it was a bar. Nothing special at all. I went on a Saturday night around 11:30 or 12. Drinks were crappy bar drinks and there was a typical crowd you would expect that close to vandy.

Ended up here on recommendation of the Chuy's staff when we showed up after their kitchen already closed. We were half way through a holiday Sunday night bar crawl and needed something to soak up the alcohol. This place has a great diner feel, but still serves drinks. We didn't order any drinks, because it was definitely time for a break. Our food was gobbled up ridiculously quickly! Cheese fries are literally my favorite food on the planet, and these were about a 6 on a 1 to 10 scale. I was not a fan of the nacho cheese sauce that made the fried mushy. Prices on all food items were pretty standard for a diner. Service was very quick, though admittedly the place was pretty empty. Location is great, right on the strip between a lot of other places. It was clean and decor was typical. It was a great place to make a pit stop between bars!

Good place for a drink with friends. If you happen to be hungry get the sausage cheese plate or the steak biscuits. Stay away from order most any other type of food, unless you are expecting average bar food. Cool and authentic bar feel. I love to go, but it has to be with the right friends and for the right reason, both which do not come with high expectations.

This is my watering hole when I am watching weekend football or baseball weeknights with the boys. They have the best hot chicken chunks and chicken tenders in Nashville. I actually crave them. Staff is friendly and beer selection is above average. Cons: you are in a bar, it's smokey, and usually loud. Not a place for a date, but if you want to watch the game and eat fab bar food, this is your spot.

  • Lindsey E.

I like this bar because it supports UK basketball. It's fun to come here to watch a game. The food is really good, service is somewhat friendly. But don't come here if you don't want to leave smelling like a cigarette.. I can handle some cigarette smoke but the smoke in this place was hard to handle. Probably won't be coming back anytime soon. I just watched a game there last night and my throat and chest are still in pain from breathing the air in there.

Pretty good prices and beer specials. Great service, and good food. Not much more you can ask of a local sports bar. Lots of TVs to watch any game you want and the waitresses have never been snoody about changing the channel to a game you want to see. It's really nice in warmer months because they open up their huge windows and it really gives a nice vibe and atmosphere. There's nothing better than that warm Spring breeze hitting your face while drinking a beer and watching a hockey or basketball game. If you're a tourist in Nashville this place might be a little underwhelming, but for those of us who live around Midtown Nashville year-round, it's the perfect local sports bar.

Working in the West End Area, Corner Pub is always a favored happy hour locale. If you want a simple neighborhood bar with 2 for 1 specials, this is it. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and manages to do a great job handling large crowds of people arriving simultaneously to drink their workday cares away. I have a less than simple drink order (vodka gimlet- mostly vodka, a few limes squeezed in, add a splash of Sprite), and the servers always seem to remember in the midst of happy hour craziness. By the by, the pub cheese? So effing good. Do yourself a favor and order it- better yet, order the Pub Cheese and Fried Pickles. You'll thank me later. Like any neighborhood bar, there's been a few times where the service was less than grand (including the incident Paul K. mentioned in his review), but overall they manage to keep it together and provide a casual, laid-back environment to hang out with friends.

I have never been to Corner Pub since we usually end up at other establishments in the area. BUT we were going out early, there was baseball on, and it seemed like a fun adventure to try it out. This is your standard bar that is sort of a sports bar due to the amount of TVs everywhere. However, it doesn't have that "I am officially a sports bar" feel for some reason. We posted up at the bar and ordered some drinks from a friendly bartender who kept them coming without even asking. There were quite a few people at the bar enjoying happy hour by themselves, so if you want an ok place to go alone then this would be a good option. Plus the bartenders were chatty and friendly so you will at least have one person to talk to right? The jukebox is a newer one and from what I heard it had a good collection of tunes (I heard mostly 90s rockin grunge hits + a Hall and Oates tune....LOVE!). Since it is an internet juke I'm sure they have anything you want so get out your cash and play some songs. All the patrons I talked to were friendly and most were of the "just got off work and needed a drink" variety. As it got later I saw more college students coming in...but what do you expect? You are near colleges after all. I tried the fried pickles - you know, a "light" snack to coat my stomach with grease before drinking lots more down the street. They were actually really good. But then, I haven't met too many fried pickles I didn't like. The menu was full of what appeared to be tasty burgers, sandwiches, and other items. I must go back and get the hot chicken chunks - I hear they are fiery bits of heaven! Great first trip to the Corner Pub and I am sure I'll be back when I want to mix it up from the usual Sam's, Red Door, Losers, Winners combo!

Not a fan. I can think of a thousand places I'd rather go than Corner Pub at Midtown. It has a dirty feel to me. Now, I don't expect a bar, especially one know for cheap beer and great happy hour specials (two for one), to be whistle clean. But this place just had a feel to it that I didn't like. Pretty dingy. As I mentioned, they do have great happy hour specials. So do lots of places. The food is just OK. Again, if I want bar food, like gooey quesadillas and great chicken fingers, I'll go to a list of other spots around town. I've never been when it's been live music night. I hear the folks playing are actually pretty good. I doubt I'll ever find out. The crowd there was not my speed. Pretty much a biker bar. Nothing wrong with bikers, but I'm just going to mosey elsewhere next time I want a drink with friends in the Midtown area.

I feel like I'm putting another nail in the coffin, but I think Corner Pub could try 10% harder and get amazing results. First, they have the worst food. If you're veggie, you can get a grilled cheese or fried pickles or maybe a quesadilla. Nothing you can't make at home. Second, Their fries are the generic Ore Ida brand that you can buy and make at home. They just weren't exciting. Third, they have horrible service. I'm usually only here to get a few beers with friends, but the last time I was starving so HAD to order food. They got my friends order wrong and were not nice about it. My grilled cheese took 10 minutes longer than anything else anyone ordered. If you want to drink here, that's cool. If you want to eat, don't do it here.

Corner Pub Midtown, or "CP2" as we like to call it (because of it's sister bar, the original Corner Pub in Green Hills) is a great place to meet after work for happy hour, to watch any sporting event, or just to go for a great hot turkey sandwich. It's not a stuffy, ultra smoky bar--windows all around, and when the weather is nice they open them fully so it's like the entire bar is a patio. Multiple TVs so anywhere you sit has a good view. Large, non-cramped bar. Cold beer. Acoustic music on occasion. And, you'll usually spot some sort of Music City celeb there, be it a Titans or Preds player or any number of musicians. Easy-going place, go there to sit back and relax with a cold drink.

As soon as I stepped foot into Corner Pub, I knew I was at home. In front of me was a sign toting 3 dollar New Belgium Drafts and 4 dollar bottles. For a kid from South Florida (the land of expensive adult beverages) who just so happens to love good beer... it was like like being introduced to your first love all over again and being told you'd never have to actually pay for dates. I had come from the Vandy/UF game, and Corner Pub had all the good games on, albeit finding a spot at the bar took some guile. The bartenders were fast, polite, and knew exactly what I wanted when I felt like being indecisive. I can't really comment on the food, as I just wanted liquid lunch, but you might just find me there again sometime soon.

This is a great little bar to watch sports, get friendly service (with the exception of a couple), and to enjoy killer food! The kitchen in this place is amazing and is open for lunch. Monday for lunch they smoke ribs in an old fashioned smoker-they have chicken and wings and they are truly to die for. If you do go on a game day, make sure you get their fairly early as their seating can not accomodate a large mass. It is smoking and has a full bar. If you are ordering a drink at the bar, go to Doc and if you are at a table, so if you can get Rachel or Janikee. Both are great. Stay away fro the CHEESE DIP AND SUBSTITUTE IT FOR THE SALSA, which is handmade and amazing. The Hot chicken chunks are my favorite (chicken chunks fried golden brown with a hot spicy kick) but do awknowledge they will tear your stomach up--but they are sooo worht it!

This place is nice for a midday break for lunch. I would not do dinner here, as it is mainly a bar setting. However, the hot chicken chunks are pretty amazing.

Went there for Monday Nighty football and found it a good spot to watch the game. I would consider a typical neighborhood bar with a mixed crowd. I sat at the bar and the service was GREAT. Plenty of HD big screen TV's all over, so great for watching sports. Large selection of beers - food was good - nice variety of choices on the menu with typical bar food offerings. All resonably proced. Will go back there for watching sports and good bar food!

I've been here a couple of times for lunch and always enjoyed it. If you're trying to eat healthy or stay on a diet, probably not your place. They have great bar food - burgers, fried chicken, fries. I like their ranch as well, good for dipping. I think this is one of those places where you're safe with pretty much anything fried. I've always found the service to be good, although sometimes you get stuck in a table that feels like you're in everyone's way.

I decided to join Yelp! after reading numerous negative reviews of Corner Pub Midtown but having a totally different (and positive) experience. Our usual weekly live trivia game got moved from Crow's Nest to Corner Pub because of the Orange Bowl game. I hadn't been to Corner Pub since it was Granite Falls back in the day, so I went to Yelp! to check out the reviews. After reading them, I was really *really* hesitant to go. While reading the reviews, I also found that Corner Pub was a smoking bar to boot. I had just about made up my mind to bail altogether but luckily my addiction to live trivia won out because I had a great time. My four other teammates and I met just before 8pm and got a table right away in the back near the restrooms (not as bad as it sounds). While the area up front was pretty smoky, the area in the back might as well have been nonsmoking because you could barely detect the smoke. A table maybe 10 feet away had a couple of smokers and we barely noticed. The odd-looking fan things that Corner Pub installed all over the room really did the job. They should be made mandatory in any place that allows smoking, but also wants money from nonsmokers -- or ex-smokers like me. We didn't get any food, so I am not going to comment on that. But our mixed drinks were poured well, the beers were cold, TVs are everywhere, the sound system was more than adequate, and our waitress, Erica, rocked. She was on top of our table within a minute or two and I am not sure if any of us had to ask for anything because she always beat us to it. I am well aware that this is her job and the more drinks she serves us, the more money she puts in her pocket. But I am amazed at how many waiters & waitresses in this town really suck at their jobs. It's refreshing to see someone doing it well and -- possibly even enjoying (!!??) her job. Erica was great and her service capped off a great night of trivia with friends -- even if we did come in 4th place. Even though I didn't experience any of the negatives mentioned in other reviews, I am not saying they didn't happen to those people. I am also aware that I was there on a Tuesday at 8pm -- not Saturday night at last call when it's nuts-to-butts crowded. But what I am saying is that, sometimes, the only way to find out for sure is to experience things for yourself. Because -- in my case -- I found a new spot in Midtown to go when I'm in the neighborhood.

My experience at the Corner Pub has been mixed but this place is a solid neighborhood bar. The draft beer selection includes more than the mega brands and the prices are reasonable. The menu is fairly standard, but the wings and the deep fried pickles are worth a trip.

No matter what time of day you head into Corner Pub there will undoubtedly be a bunch of middle aged men hanging out at the bar, why you ask? I'm guessing its because if your not blonde and well endowed you don't get hired at Corner Pub. Regardless I do like the 2-4-1 drink specials, and manage to usually hide from their usual crowd and 'bubbly' waitresses in a corner booth. The food is actually not bad, and they also make some mean fried pickles. Aside from the middle aged bar flies, the proximity to Vandy makes it a popular college student hang out. They do have TVs and beer, so if you are looking for a place to watch a game, this might be a good spot. Corner Pub is the kind of place I end up out of convenience but don't really seek out.

The Yuengling here tastes funny. At least it was cold. The waitress was wearing a low-cut spaghetti-strap top -- pretty par for the course here -- and she smelled sweetly of lotion. I wouldn't have noticed her scent except that she instinctively pressed up against me whenever she came by my table. Despite the fact that I am somewhat fond of this kind of service, it comes off as rather unconvincing when the girl's heart just isn't in it, and this girl's wasn't. The service this time was shoddy. Sorry, honey, giving me the rub is not going to win you a better tip, even if you do call me "sweetheart" with your saucy little waitress persona. Ok, maybe I'll forgive you for my lack of cutlery. FOOD: the buffalo chicken sandwich was somewhat barren, but the quesadilla I had a previous time was actually quite good, as bar food goes. Another reviewer referred to this as a "biker" bar. Bwahaha! I would totally dig this place if it was. It's more like the old Box Seat, except shabbier and with windows. The waitresses-cum-strippers here are cute, and the quesadilla is worth ordering. 3 fist-pumps in the air for this strumpet of a sports bar.

The perfect Bar for Lunch in Midtown Most of the reviews are about after work, happy hour- and all that of course is great. However their food is actually made in house and though its mostly fried and unhealthy- it's delicious! Most of the sandwiches are great and their onion rings are fantastic! If you need a beer over lunch and want a quality greasy spoon in a laid back environment then this is your place. Another perk: It's 21 and up so during such things like CMA Music Fest you can lunch there and know the tourists can't bring their kids! Also, as of the last time I was there a few months ago you could smoke inside- that may be a dealbreaker or a reason to go, either way I thought I'd mention.

The Corner Pub Midtown has a little something for everyone - a diverse menu along with a Meat and 3 offering. The hot chicken chunks are definitely the favorite of most customers. They offer a good beer selection with reasonable prices and the service is good. The bartender Erica is excellent and helps make for a great experience.

The Corner Pub in Midtown is a great place for me one day, but a disaster the next. On days that I actually have a great experience, it's just that...a great experience for a sports bar. Some days I go in and they have great drink specials, the next i'm paying more for beer. I can get a good seat, a good table, plenty of room to chill and have a good time, other days you can't walk, people bump into your table and sometimes it gets so packed you don't want to even walk inside. Servers treat you great, check on you and make sure you have everything you need. Other days you're lucky to even get their attention. It's a toss up for me. But I will say this, the great experiences I've had was during the football games on a Sunday. Food is great! Try their wings! They're really good. Make sure you peep through the windows before you walk in. If you can't walk through the front door, make your way to other spots in Midtown. If you can get in without someone bumping into you and making you tumble to the ground, I recommend this bar out of all other bars in Midtown.

Nice place to have a drink, especially on a day with good weather. Beer, hot chicken are good.

Please, everyone, DO NOT GO TO CORNER PUB. Of all the bars in the area, there is no reason to choose Corner Pub over the others. Some better ideas: Broadway Brewhouse, Winners, Losers, Rack Room, Melrose, etc. Just please don't go to Corner Pub. They don't deserve your business. The manager's name is Jeff and he is NOT good at his job. Since a waitress never took our order after about 40 minutes of waiting (we had to order at the bar instead), I asked another waiter if she could send the manager over to our table. So she did, and it was not a pleasant experience, to say the least. Instead of apologizing, Jeff was a defensive schmuck from the get-go and was extremely patronizing. After about a 5-minute conversation, he called my friend a "motherf-er" and asked us to leave the bar. What kind of customer service manager calls their customers names, much less curses at them? Obviously, that's quite offensive. So we left and he sent the bouncer to follow us out. That's right, he sent the 6'5" and 240 lb. bouncer to follow three sober and insulted customers out of the place, presumably to make a scene. What a douche! To be fair, I don't think Jeff is used to solving real problems and I understand that you can only expect so much from a middle-aged country bumpkin who runs a sports bar. His communication skills are clearly lacking and I'm sensitive to that. I'm sure he usually offers a free shot and the problem goes away. He also might have had a terrible week and took it out on us. Regardless, you can't curse at your customers and get away with it. That's just not okay. As a fellow consumer, please don't give them business. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Nothing really special, but not too bad. Kind of a typical sports bar near a college type place. I will have to say that I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. I ordered the spicy chicken chunks not really expecting much, but was pleased to find that they were fresh and very tasty. I don't know if I would make this a regular stop, but if you are in the mood for some beer, sports, and good simple food you could do a lot worse.
