I hardly ever eat fast food, but when I do, it's Cookout! I guess because of that reason, I haven't realized just how much prices have gone up lately, but you can get an entire meal with a drink (that's a sandwich and TWO sides) for only $5. They also carry more (random) items like hush puppies and corn dogs. The best thing about Cookout, however, are their shakes and their dozens of flavors. The line is almost always backed up, but their shakes are always worth the wait.

Go to Wendy's instead. No idea why there are such huge lines here every day? Burger options here aren't interesting, flavor is MIA and they're smaller than your average fast food chain. Chicken tenders may have been Tyson brand had they not had so much breading. Lastly, the grilled chicken sandwich has an odd, almost sour taste. If we head back it'll be to try the milk shakes.

When this location first opened it would have gotten 5+ stars but it has gone down hill fast. The location to get in and out of is a nightmare. No light but right next to one at a busy intersection so you can't even pull out into a lane for that light if there is one car waiting already and it's always busy. They prices are super cheap and food good but unlike when they first opened they now can't get your order right ever! The last 8 OUTTA 10 times they screwed up and left off toppings on the burgers. Small portions but I think for the price you can't really complain on that one. Most every milkshake the bottom has a half inch layer of what is suppose to be mixed into the drink. They didn't blend them long enough. Yes I know things sink to the bottom but this much is beyond normal. (I'm a milkshake junkie) The hours are great if you are a night owl staying open til 2am. Good food, good prices, just dont expect to ever get your order right.

Anyone who goes to cook-out and expects anything more than fast food quality has got another thing coming. My boyfriend literally squealed with delight when I told him Cook Out was coming out west to Nashville. We have gone to both the midtown and East Nashville locations. Cook-out has a cult following in the southeast, I have never seen anything like it. People get more crazy about Cook Out than people in the west get over In-n-Out. Do yourself a favor and get a milkshake and hush puppies Understanding the cult cook out following might make you like it more, or hate it more - this is the best and most accurate article on cook-out I have ever read: deadspin.com/5883076/i-h…

Cook Out is chill, I like the taste of the burgers. Nice char on them. I go a little late when they're not busy, they always keep the place clean which is great. The reason for the 4 stars is because there's always room to do better. The menu for instance, I feel that it's too busy. Needs images or something, but that's all I have to say. Great restaurant overall.

COOK OUT SUCKS! BAD! I don't get this new sad ass fast food place called Cook Out in my hood. They didn't even have the one, halfway healthy thing on the menu I ordered. My buddy ordered chicken nuggets after we already paid and they made up some lazy, lame ass excuse not to ring them in and serve them. Then, here's the real kicker. Wait for it, wait for it....we got home and they forgot to put the meat on a chicken sandwich! Just an empty bun with lettuce/tomato. Seriously!? And they want a higher minimum wage!? Great first impression! Smh, never going back! Reminds me why I never go to any fast food place....other than Chipotle. Why why why couldn't it be a Chipootle instead in E Nash instead!?

Look it's fast food but it's the best fast food on gallatin. I like the burgers and quesadillas. Cheerwine float is a must at least once.

It is worth every penny and it's only $4.99 it tastes like you just got it off the grill at your house these expensive restaurants like old Charley's and Fridays their burgers taste like s*** compared to these these are really good wish I'd known about this place a long time ago this location just open and I will be a regular there for sure

The food is average, better than McDonald's, but there are many better burger places in town. There wasn't a lot of flavor in either my burger or my chocolate shake, but they were edible. The meal was quite reasonably priced, so I guess you get what you pay for. All that said, the service is abysmal here. I was ignored at the counter for a while until someone deigned to take my order. My burger eventually came, but the workers were oblivious that there should have been a milkshake with it. When I brought this to their attention, they acted as if I was imposing on them or something.

I decided to try this place because it is almost always a full parking lot and I can understand some reasons why. I ordered a regular BBQ burger with cheese and chili cheese fries for $6.31 to be exact! :-) I felt the price was spot on for the quality of food. The burger was delicious and really reminded me of a home grilled burger with just the right amount of juiciness! The fries however were uninspiring. The chili just didn't do anything for me and neither did the cheese on second thought. My third thought concerning fries is that they should consider sweet potato fries as another alternative. Overall I'll return and I'll definitely get a milkshake then!!

What I like about this place? Fast service, value for the money and the HUGE tea. Yeah it's fast food but the price/quality/quantity ratio are right on. Get there early, the place is busy with working folk like myself getting a meal for their hard earned buck.

First timer and this place was GREAT!! What a great change from typical fast food places with a huge menu and good food!! Had a wonderfully prepared burger along with onion rings and hush puppies, and a thick chocolate shake that was perfect fry dipping!!

I was a little skeptical when our friends asked us to meet them here. Walking in I figured out why. You can get an entire meal for $5.00. It is great when you bring kids, my kids can share one meal, it is more than enough for them. Don't expect high class or amazing food, it is a general fast food joint with that type of food.

3 stars - the food 0 stars - service (*** Check out the "unrecommended" section of this thread.. Those reviews are SPOT ON) This is a mind blower. I went for a late night burger, after doing some Christmas shopping and my experience was fucking dreadful. I ordered: bacon/cheeseburger with everything except tomato. Order of fries. that's it. nothing else. My order came up within minutes. This time, I sat inside and took a bite of my burger and opened the sandwich up to find no cheese. Took it up to the cashier and said, "There's no cheese." She took it. I went and sat down. She yelled my number again. I went and got it. Sat down, bit into it, opened up the sandwich and the bacon was missing. Went back up to the cashier and said, "There's no bacon." A guy came out and said, "I'm going to make it myself." I went and sat down, drank my water, munched on some fries. He brought it out to me and said, "Maam, I made it myself." I thanked him, opened it up and tomato seeds were dripping out of it. The bacon and cheese were there, and so was the tomato, I didn't order. I couldn't go through that, again. I pulled the tomato out and ate it. To say that I speak another language, would be incorrect. To say that they did not understand english, would be incorrect. To say that there is something very, very wrong with employees that can't get a damn burger right.... All I can do is shake my head and bite my tongue and not say something that will come back and bite me in the ass. Expect the unknown. That's all I can say.

Was on my way to Chic-fil-a up the street, but saw this place and decided to give it a try. I ordered their double burger and the cashier asked if I wanted the "tray" that included two sides. I agreed but was surprised to find their tray is a standard foam to-go container. It seems all their burger patties are the small McDonald's sized 2 oz. They have a pretty decent grilled taste, but being so thin makes them basically always over well done. No lemon slices for ice tea, just packets of lemon juice. It should be illegal to serve those as substitutes for sliced lemon, especially south of the Mason-Dixon line in sweetened iced tea. I witnessed an employee that cleaned tables pick an unused ketchup packet off the floor and return it to a bin on the counter. I always wondered if employees were doing that in the fast food business. Anyway, Cook Out has a great idea but seems to be missing a lot. Maybe they should send a few employees to an In-N-Out Burger t see how it's really done.
