I have never ate inside this restaurant because we always deliver or pick up... their food is always very good. When just me, I do something simple with chicken and noodles but if I am sharing... my go is usually the Happy Family with extra lo mein and egg rolls. I can say that their prices are always good. The quality of food is on spot and the portions are ample. This is my ( GO TO ) for Chinese cuisine.... what can I say... I love ME some China Moon !!!

I was looking for something quick and easy tonight. I found China Moon online, and decided to give it a try. I was impressed with how easy their online ordering system was. I ordered and left right away to go pick it up -- it was ready when I got there (aprx. 10 mins). The staff was very friendly, and the food far exceeded my expectations. I'll be back!

Great little Chinese takeout. Much better than many of the other one's I've tried. If you are looking for your simple Chinese takeout fix, don't pass this one up!

Great food, cheap prices, and quick, friendly service! I order here pretty frequently. They usually have my food done in 10-15 minutes, if even that long. They have made special requests for me as well (General Tso's Tofu), though it took longer than usual to make. TIP: Their hot oil / chili sauce is SUPER spicy. If you love spicy food (like me), the 25c charge is worth it.

Meh. That's a pretty good explanation of my feelings towards China Moon. They do some things well, some things not so well, like many Americanized-Chinese-by-the-numbers takeout joints. Pluses: +They have steamed/fried pork dumplings, and for takeout, they're pretty good. +Mai Fun noodles are never overcooked and they are quite generous with their portion, especially when considering the low price. +Shrimp Tempura is delicious +Spend over $15 and they give your 2 free egg rolls, over $25 and you get a free order of crab rangoon +They DELIVER (although I usually go pick it up) Minuses -General Tso's is pretty sweet, and light on the broccoli -Lo Mein noodles have been overcooked more times than not. -Last time I was in, their health score had gone down 11 points (to an 87), and they use the front area as a storage/eating/tiny daughter sleeping area, which can be a bit off putting. -Also off-putting, on my last visit there was a half pan of some sort of offal sitting, unrefrigerated, on one of the dining room tables. The staff is friendly, but I usually only order from there if I'm craving one of their pluses or feeling particularly lazy. I haven't gotten sick from their food, so at least there's that.

I've been a faithful customer of this place for a decade. Their food used to be extremely good and tasty. However, the last several times I've been, the food has been different. It's not as good as it once was. The quality has definitely gone down. The meat was once large chunks are now tiny bits and the sauces are not as good. The Generl Tso's is not as spicy either. I'm very disappointed in China Moon. And I think it's time for me to find a new Chinese restaurant here in Nashville.

I'm embarrassed to say we wanted cheap Chinese food last weekend. So that's out there now. We didn't really know of a place in our area so we came to Yelp for recommendations. It was nice you could see their menu and order online for pick up. We ordered chicken lo mein, general tso's, hot and sour soup and got the two free egg rolls with a $15 purchase. We ordered our meals medium spicy. The food wasn't ready when we went to pick it up. They actually had not seen the order sitting on their printer. Thankfully my husband is a very patient man so no biggie. The portions were generous for the low prices but our entrees were not spicy at all. Overall the food was good for what we were after and we will probably try it again if the cheap Chinese food mood strikes us again.

YUP 5 stars! only because it was exactly what i wanted. went in on a Friday night, ordered at the counter. Awesome part: lady at counter spoke great english(not being facetious either). GREAT prices on food. Portions LARGE! i was told food would be ready in 10 minutes, food ready in 8 and EXACTLY how i requested it. A lot of shrimp in the fried rice=:) Friendly staff at a great little (american)Chinese food place. will return. Now..only if traffic were better in this stretch of nolensville rd. *shrugs*

No stars soggy over cooked noodles. Hot and sour soup. Should have been call hot and not sour soup. I shouldn't have to spice up a soup that is already spicy. Will I eat here again nope I will not.

Excellant for a strip mall restaurant. They had no problem with our special orders and everything was delicious.

I called in my carry out order at 11am and was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. I arrived to pick it up at 11:30 and had to wait 20 minutes to actually walk out the door with it.

I tried China Moon for the first time last night and they did a great job. First of all, I placed my order online and my food was ready when I went to pick it up about 25 minutes later. It was still nice and warm. The staff was very friendly and likeable. I had Kung Pao Chicken, Wonton Soup, Fried Rice, and Wontons and all the food was very good. I was impressed that the Kung Pao Chicken was actually spicier than I expected. I love spicy food but most places don't make the food spicy and hot enough for me. When I want Chinese take in the future, I'm going to China Moon.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
