Besides Chinatown (which is a far drive to us), this is our go to place for Chinese takeout in Nashville. It is not the best Chinese food you will taste, its not the highest quality and surely not upscale. But for a Chinese takeout spot - this place is good. We normally get lo mein, fried rice, Mongolian beef, sesame chicken and crab ragoons. We really like that the crab ragoons aren't super fake tasting and not over fried. The sesame chicken isn't horribly sweet and lo mein is the right noodles and has a good flavor. The staff is nice and they almost always throw in a freebie like donuts or springrolls.

I love these joints that sling that typical brought-in, Chinese version of Sysco, wok'd-to-order Yankee Chinese favorites with the big pictures on the menu board. I love them even more when they nail it, which so few places do. The shit was hot, cooked and boxed up on-the-double, and tasted like I hoped it would. It's surprisingly easy to fuck this shit up, but these guys have some pride and took care to make sure the dishes were tasty and as fresh as they could be within the limits of the rules of the game. I ate the entirety of my "Sesame Beef", which I hardly ever do, and wished there was more of it when I got done done stuffing my fat face. How I wish these guys would open a location in my town. If you are hearing the call of the Chinese Take-Out, heed it, and give these guys a go.

typical "hot'n'greazy" american style chinese fast-food. Chunks of cheap meat breaded and fried, then tossed in some goopy sauce like "tso" or what have you. Comes with side of rice. You might as well go, you know you love eating this stuff.

I'm reviewing this place purely based off of the taste of the food and price . We picked this place based off the fact that it had the highest yelp ratings in the area for fast Chinese food. Fast Chinese food in store front locations can be risky but we were very surprised in how good the food was! I ordered the beef and broccoli combo plate, tasty , fresh and cheap. The Hubs ordered the Tso chicken, SO GOOD!! Next time though I'm going to get white rice and not the fried, having fried rice made it a alittle too heavy. All in all, the meat and veggies were fresh and well seasoned, we will be coming back :)

We ordered General Tso chicken. There was enough food there for the two of us. Their fried rice was really good but the chicken wasn't as crispy as I like it to be. The crab wontons were disappointing. The dough was too thin and there was too much sweetness on the inside.

This little hole-in-the-wall has some of the best Chinese takeout I've had. And their prices are awesome to boot. I look forward to my next opportunity to enjoy them.

I've gotten take out from this place more than I'd like to admit. The owners are always so nice & the food is always hot & fresh. The crab Rangoon is amazing, so crispy & creamy. The sesame chicken & general Tso's chicken taste the same, but they're both good. The egg rolls taste like they're probably frozen. The fried rice is good, but some of the peas can taste over cooked & hard. All in all a good place for fast & cheap Chinese food.

One word: disgusting. The hot and sour soup had no flavor. The meat in all the dishes were oddly chewy and flavorless. The meat tasted almost like chicken or beef flavored gum. The best thing I had was the white rice, which is pretty hard to screw up. The positive reviews for this place completely baffles me.

This place is great!!!! I came in with a group of 10 and 7 of them were hungry teenage boys! The staff went above and be on!! They were so pleasant and helpful and to top it all off the food was great! It was fresh and full of flavor plus we had enough for dinner and lunch for the next day! Could not ask for a better place as we were traveling back home to Illinois! Again I can not say enough good things about the staff.....thank you! This is a great hole in the wall Chinese takeout place. The service was efficient and the food was really good...especially when compared to the other local Chinese places we've tried. I wouldn't recommend staying there to eat though. It is very basic and not a place to enjoy a meal. But, that is fine. They aren't trying to be.

Yuck! Just yuck!! After searching all over Nashville for decent Chinese food, and being overwhelmingly disappointed, we were excited to see such positive reviews for China King. Admittedly, everything looked good enough, but then crashing disappointment hit when we tasted it. The meat was flabby and inedible, the crab Rangoon was sugary sweet, and the Hot & Sour soup tasted like a foot bath with tofu floating in it. Don't waste your time.

It's good and tasty... China King is good Chinese food, staff is really nice and portions are big. Cant go wrong. Love the crab ragoon and pork lo mein. All is good. What else can I say about Chinese food?

Excellent takeout! The food was fresh and delicious. The steamed dumplings were the best I've ever had. The fried rice was packed with veggies and not greasy at all.

Ordered takeout for Christmas Eve and was pleasantly surprised. The service was great, the place was clean and we received free crab wontons for our large order. Favorites: House Special Fried Rice, Roast Pork Fried Rice, Beef with Broccoli and Veggie Lo Mein. The egg rolls were fine but not worlds best. The sesame chicken was fried to hard. Overall will definitely order again.

I've only tried this place once but I like it enough to say I'll definitely be back. The place itself is very no-frills. Walls are bare, no type of "atmosphere" whatsoever. But the service was friendly and fast and the food was good. Portions were big. Definitely enough to make 2 meals. I'm sure I will be back when my next Chinese food craving hits!

Great food, great price! I got it to go, which I would recommend, there's seating, but it's more of a take out place.

This place is way above average when it comes to quick Chinese food. Always fresh and delicious. We literally drive past 3 other Chinese restaurants closer to our house to go to this one!!

Sometimes I get a call in the middle of the night. The garlic chicken combo places an order for me! I'm like... OK. I'll be over in fifteen minutes to consume you and your delicious vegetable friends. And I'm not leaving without that egg roll's number! Great Chinese food!

We were traveling through Nashville and decided to get take-out as we were exhausted from driving and sightseeing. China King came up on our search and we were happy to find it. Food was good (chicken and broccoli, sweet and sour pork, and shrimp fried rice) with the exception of the veggie spring rolls (small, bland).

I started going here a couple of years ago when my other favorite Chinese restaurant closed. Not much as far as atmosphere goes,as they are mostly take out, but the food is good and portions generous. You can call in an order if you know what you want, and it will be ready in 10 minutes!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
