Best gyro in Nashville hands down. While I admit I was skeptical at first, I took 3 police cruisers there as a sure sign it would be good. Ordered the gyro combo meal and it was fresh, hot and oh so delicious. Its quite filling and is only $7 too! Do it. That "other" gyro place is not worth it. Trust me, as a fat kid I know things.

This place is absolutely great. Perfect place to grab a good bite to eat while still budgeting! The gyro is very tender, juicy and flavorful. I'm a big fan of good Greek/Mediterranean foods. The only reason why I'm not giving this 5/5 stars, and just 4/5, is because the service could be a little better. Of course, they're only human and they make mistakes just as we do, but I'd rather not get charged for something on my bill that they didn't give me in the end.

A business associate wanted to meet at Chicago Style for lunch and I'm not that familiar with what's available on the east side, so I was a bit leary when seeing the building. We were actually doing an "informational interview" with a guy who had heard about us from his friend. So, when we met in the parking lot to walk in I was feeling that we definitely weren't going to impress him with our lunch choice. But I was wrong. The food was fresh, hot, and very delicious. I got the chicken plate and ate every bit of it. One of the other guys also joined the "clean plate club". He had a combo plate. They guys are friendly and the price is definitely right. ave been back a 2nd time and got the chicken plate again, which was just as good as the first time. Will be back often.

After relocating to Nashville from Chicago, I had to check out "chicago style gyros" all I can say is NOT.AT.ALL. I'm not sure where all of these 4/5 stars are coming from, perhaps I had a bad batch, but I am not interested in returning to see if there is any improvement

The service was phenomenal, the guys were ready to serve and the food was great, best gyro iv had here in Nashville at just over 5 bucks . Can beat it!!!

I love all the guys who man the drive-through window at Chicago Style Gyros. Friendliest and most efficient staff ever! Plus the portions are incredibly generous; I always get two hearty meals out of one order. I always get the gyro plate with tabbouleh, and I've never been disappointed. The food is consistently tasty and fresh, and the pita bread is always as soft as a pillow. So good!

I really like this place! The chicken plate is awesome, but the portion is huge (not that that is a negative) I love that I can get drive-thru greek food, what's better than that?

Good gyro plates, great tabouli. I like the stuffed grape leaves as well. I've never really experienced the friendliness that some other reviewers have commented on and in fact I would say they are not friendly. I'm not very concerned with this because I'm not trying to be friends with them anyway and I always get my food to go. The inside is kind of old and I think it used to be a Long John Silver's, but in spite of needing a facelift it seems clean. I'd say 3.5 If I was allowed because the lack of ambience and the lack of good attitude puts a lot of weight on the food.

Out of the plethora of Greek restaurants that line Gallatin Road, Chicago Style Gyros is the standout winner. First of all, the staff is very friendly and efficient, which is a great start when running through the drive-thru. They have the norm as far as the menu goes: gyros, kebabs, hummus, falafel, stuffed grape leaves, baklava, etc. While their menu looks like the rest of the places you might find on this stretch, the quality, presentation, consistency, and flavor are what make Chicago Style the best. I usually get the combo plate, which is a mix of gyro and chicken, taboulleh salad (they offer a side salad, but the taboulleh is fantastic), toasted pita, and dressing. The flavor and quality of the gyro is the best I've had anywhere in Nashville. They serve large slices, which is better than the dried out chippy pieces you often get at other places. The chicken is always fresh, tender and well seasoned. The only reason I gave them four stars is because of the rice. When everything is so good, the mediocre (at best) rice reminds me of the overcooked chicken flavored rice from the box, and seems like a mismatch for the other fresh, delicious flavors on the plate. Other than that small complaint, I give them five stars on all of the other criteria that you look for in a gyro place.

Delicious food. Good prices. HUGE portions. You really can't go wrong with this place. I got the combo plate and it could have easily fed two people. The cucumber sauce is awesome. The pita bread is nice and soft. My husband got a gyro which was really good-- it was basically like the combo plate except stuffed in the bread & no rice. I really like this place. I'll definitely come back often.

These guys are always quick and friendly, and the food is consistently good. I've had the chance to try several of the Greek offerings that scatter Gallatin Pike, and I'd have to say that this is among the best and most consistent. If I swing through here for lunch, I'm usually picking up a gyro combo with fries. Be sure to ask for sauce on the side, otherwise your pita will lose its structural integrity before you have a chance to finish. The gyro meat is always quite tasty and the crinkle cut fries are a good add-on. If we're hitting this place for dinner, we always go with the Greek combo platter, which consists of both gyro meat and chicken (which is always delicious, but can be a little dry at times), rice and choice of a green salad with vinaigrette or the tabbouleh salad (I'd recommend the tabbouleh). On top of the delicious eats, the prices are great and the place (at least from the outside) is always clean. Even when the drive-thru line is long, the wait usually isn't, so you can get in and out and be home with your tasty Greek eats in no time.

I cannot believe I havent reviewed this place sooner! I am always here, its kind of sad how often I eat here because it speaks to how little time I have to cook at home.....but moving on. My love affair with Chicago Style started at the location on Harding near my work, but since moving to East Nashville, this one is my fave. We eat here quite often as noted above, and I havent had a complaint yet, out of any family member. My Daugther who is 7 often has the gyro, or the kids plate with chicken and rice and I order extra pita bread for her, which they never charge me for. The guys know us....but even before we were driving thru the drive thru or coming in for a bite 2-3 times a month, they were always friendly. I love Greek food, and this is Greek fast food at its best. I often wait a few minutes more and they bring out fresh chicken. The salad is always fresh and they are not skimpy on sauces, cheeses or the portions overall. As other Yelpers have said, this is truly two meals in one. I can never finish it. Ask for your sauce on the side, so you can heat it up later. I always order the chicken plate, but my other half has the combo plate and loves it every time. I will continue to come here way too often, although I may have to begin driving another car and wearing scarves and sunglasses.....

I am a Greek food junkie, and this little place is pretty satisfactory as far as a good local place to get hummus and falafel goes. I'm relatively certain Chicago Style used to be a Captain D's or a Long John Silver's (hence the pirate-style sabers on the doors), but the authenticity remains. Chicago Style Gyros certainly isn't the classiest of joints, but the dining area is comfy and the staff is friendly and hilarious. It's cheap, and the combos are delicious. Frequent customers seem to get preferential treatment, so if you go enough you're likely to get exceptionally hearty portions and other freebies. The carryout containers seem to hold larger portions, and you're certainly not missing any ambiance by hitting the drive through, so I recommend doing so. Somewhat ironically, the gyros are actually one of their poorest items. I don't typically mind them messy, but they tend to be pretty weakly constructed. The boys don't skimp on the sauce, however, and the falafel and combo plate are up to par. They're open relatively late (10:00 PM I believe, but I'll check on that), so I'd recommend Chicago Style Gyros as a good joint to swing by and pick up a late dinner. And be on the lookout for the Red Greek--that guy is awesome.

Things I like about this place: Drive thru Greek food-how can you complain about that? Convenient location. Good variety, prices, and portions. I seriously ate the rice from my last combo here for three days, there was so much of it. Their gyros are good and filling. Other stuff I've had here hits the spot but tastes just average in my opinion. I LOVE hummus and theirs just doesn't do it for me and their tahini sauce has an odd almost mayo-ish flavor. I think I need to try more of their menu based on the many great reviews this place has had.

I LOVE this place! This is my go-to whenever I am in a hurry and do not have time to cook. I pull up to the drive-thru window and they confirm my usual order (2 Gyros plates with sauce on the side) without my prompt. I guess that I am busy and in a hurry more often than I realized... :-) If you are in a mood for inexpensive, yummy Greek food, you should give them a try.

one of the main dudes who works at this particular location is just not nice. the food is fine. but he needs to improve his attitude. (kurdish & not nice...usually that doesn't go together. kurds are unusually friendly)

I LOVE Greek food (almost as much as I love Indian food) and Chicago Style makes me love it even more! We have never eaten inside, I usually just grab food through the drive-thru and they have never failed to serve me some amazing gyros! At first I would get the gyro combo but now I mainly go for the plate because I get rice and a small salad and it's 2 meals worth in one box. The guys that work there are so nice and even my 3 year old asks for the chicken rice and pitas. Now, if only I could remember how to pronounce 'gyro'.

Oh hello there, Nashville. You are my new friend and my new home. We must get to know one another better. On my first evening in Music City, my new roommates suggested we hit up their favorite greek joint, a tradition of sorts whenever they have Nashville newbies in town. I've enjoyed the food of the Greeks in many cities across this great country. I've got Mediterranean fare in my blood. Suffice to say, I was intrigued. I'm happy to say, I was not disappointed. This isn't a place you're going to 'wow' a first date (so, don't), but it could become a favorite place to grab a bite or carry out after the tenth. Honestly, if she still likes you by then, you're probably past the point where choosing a bad restaurant could cause catastrophic failure anyways. It does indeed look like it used to be a fast food joint, both inside and out. That's ok, most of my favorite restaurants rely on their food, not the glitz and glamour of the building. (After all, it's what's on the inside that counts, right?) I opted for the Gyro Salad. Im not a "salad guy" per se, however I had just been on the road for the past couple weeks stuffing my gut with every processed meat, cheese, and saturated fat various southeastern drive-through towns could offer up, so I wanted something a little lighter. The servings were substantial with several strips of seasoned lamb laid out across a leafy salad bed alongside their significant other, the requiste gyro flat bread. Tzatziki sauce worked its way into every bite, tying together the tasty, inexpensive experience. Good food and new friends in a new place always make for a memorable occasion. The people working the joint recognized my roommate, even making an effort to say hello and goodbye. Familiar faces get familiar smiles and that's a bonus worthy of my fourth star. I'll be back to give the falafel a go. It's close proximity to my 'hood all but ensures I'll add my face to the list of familiar regulars.

Easily the best chicken plate I've ever had at a gyro place, and believe me I've done my research. Fresh, flavorful and every part of the dish was great, not just the chicken. Even the salad was tasty. Definitely a place to seek out amongst all the myriad of choices on Gallatin Road.

I love this place. There are 4 locations that I know of. But this one is the best out of the 3 I've eaten at. I love it because they load the pocket up!!! instead of a taco style. Its a giant pocket gyro!! Excellent staff at this spot. Gyros are great, falafel is excellent!! love everything ive ever eaten here!! I will be back for more!! Plus if your on the go. They do have a drive thru! Prices are great!

This is my go to place for Greek. I can't say that it is the best I have had but for convenience and consistency, it rocks my world basically. For one thing, they have a drive through (must be an hold over from Long john silvers) which makes my lazy ass happy. In addition, the portions are plentiful, the prices great and it the food actually taste pretty darn good. I always mean to get a gyro but I end up with one of the combo plates. They like the one with the gyro meat which comes with a salad, yellow rice, and fresh pita.

Always consistently good food, sometimes too much food :) out of the three I've been to, this one is by far the best. There is another on Dickerson rd, , and I will not go back to that one.

This place was...decent! Good! We were pleasantly surprised when our friends turned us onto this place as it looks kind of divey from the outside but the food inside was really good! Everything we ordered - lamb gyro plate, tabbouleh, falafel sandwich and gyro sandwich - was good. We would definitely go back again, which is not to be said of most of the restaurants in Nashville. Sorrrrry!

You probably won't confuse this place with an actual Chicago gyro place, but it is still pretty tastey. Gyro plates are a good deal and come with salad; generous, flavorful strips of lamb; bread; and yellow rice. You can ask for extra cucumber sauce and they will not charge you or call you a fatty. Also good are their stuffed grape leaves and hummus. Don't be afraid of the Gallatin location; its a favorite dining spot for cops, so no one will mess with you here. Staff are friendly and actually Greek (I think).

This place is solid. I get the chicken pocket combo every time and I love it. I have deviated and those have also been just as tasty. The fries are so good! The staff is always friendly and they are quick with the food. It's not the prettiest, but for a quick, cheap, and delicious gyros, you can't beat it.

This place wasn't good. Instead of Tzatziki, they squirt Ranch on everything. The guy had a huge grin on his face as he squirted Ranch all over my side of rice. Also, their posters and decorations haven't been updated since Duran Duran had their first chart topper.

I eat here 3-4 times a week. Their food is very good and healthy. I have lost 50 pounds eating their salads and spicy chicken! Everything I've tried is delicious and always fresh. Taboulli, spicy salad, greek salad, spicy chicken and the cucumber sauce is my favorite! Always great and always friendly!

This is the best gyro place. They are never stingy with the meat on their sandwiches and they will add American cheese to the sand which, unique addition which I like. And I pretty much rate gyros on the servings size and the taste of the cucumber sauce and thus place is A1. I don't care if they don't taste like Chicargo, New York, or New Amsterdam, the food is solid.

Awesome beef/lamb gyro combo plates. I get salad instead of rice. Healthy and super tasty.
