Not sure about the prior reviewer who said you would be better of getting a sandwich at the airport (which are only good in desperation mode when you need something to keep your stomach from attacking you after 6 hours of delayed flights or sitting coach next to a screaming child and the bar cart can't get to you fast enough). Today for lunch I had a blackened mahi mahi sandwich which was a finely grilled 3/4 inch thick piece of Mahi mahi nicely done still tender and moist inside with a good aioli and blue cheese coleslaw as a with . It was a well cooked piece of fish as I have had. Dinner was the house smoked chicken. A half a barbecues chicken with a good smoke ring, crips skin and tender moist meat. A huge side of well cooked green beans that were cooked long enough but still had texture. Don't serve me blanched raw green beans.. They will go back to the kitchen . These were great . The martini was good, quite good in fact. Probably would fail in NYC but it cost 1/3 As much. The local Jackalope pale ale was very good and was a good foil for the smoked chicken Service is good. Kind of in a New York kind of way. Efficient , your course move readily but it's kind of unpolished or brisk. it worked and it was not unpleasant . While like any restaurant there maybe failures . Today I found none. For hotel food this is a step above . It's not a five star but it's a solid four

I don't know how this place has a 5 star rating. It's horrible. IT'S HOTEL FOOD! If you travel a lot you know hotel restaurants are not that good. Well add this one to your list. Venture off site if you're staying at the Marriott this is in - there are many better options out there. That, or go buy a sandwhich at the airport before you check-in here.

We were traveling from St. Louis to Goose Creek, SC and traffic was extremely bad on the highway we were on, so we decided to get food in Nashville and used Yelp to scope out a nearby restaurant. We got here at 11pm, right as they were changing the menu to their late night selection. Having been in the car for hours, we were very casually dressed with messy hair and makeup - no one seemed to care or treated us differently because we were not up to par with the other diners. Jeff was our server and he was great - never had to ask for water refills and he was very casual and talkative which made us feel comfortable. We both ordered the bacon cheeseburger. The size of the burger was incredible - neither of us finished it - but the smoky flavor of the bacon and the aged cheddar were just amazing. The burger was cooked perfectly. The fries were yummy and tasted fresh. For $13, it was well worth it.

We ate at Champions twice while staying at the Marriott. Everything we ate was delicious and attractively presented. Our servers for both dinners were excellent. The appetizer we ordered (spicy chicken fingers with waffle fries) arrived about ten minutes before the entrees. I didn't sample these but my husband and son loved them. I ordered the sesame chicken salad with Asian dressing which I liked so well, I got it both nights. My husband got the club sandwich and the cheeseburger with Benton's smoked bacon, which is fabulous (I tried a bite). My son got the dragon wings both nights. Decor is typical for a sports bar but the food is much better than your typical bar food. It isn't too noisy which is nice. We will return, next time we stay at this Marriott.

Typical food selection. Service is great and happy hour even better. $3 drafts. Who can pass that up.

There aren't a lot of choices out there when your flight arrives at BNA late at night. Could a hotel restaurant provide a good meal at a reasonable price? I was skeptical, but pleasantly surprised. The kitchen stays open late and at 11:30 pm produced a perfectly cooked (rare) steak over a Bibb lettuce salad. The portion of steak (6 oz or 8 oz?) was cut up nicely and laid out over a generous salad. A restrained hand with the dressing made it a joy to eat. Maybe even healthy? My only complaint involves my preference for cutting out the stem of the lettuce leaves before chopping. Nobody does it, so I can't really complain. My husband had already eaten a dinner earlier, but he enjoyed the hummus & pita bread appetizer and the artichoke hearts that came on my salad. When I asked that they be deleted, the server offered to put them on a separate plate. Very happy husband! My Bloody Mary was just right. I left pleasantly full and quite happy with my experience at a hotel sports bar-restaurant that I thought was going to be a disappointment. Great service too... of course there were three servers, two hostesses (?) and only twelve customers, so not a busy time. I assume you can check out the menu yourself on-line, but it seems to be a cut above the average bar menu. My steak was yummy. I didn't have to cut out any gristle or fat. The hummus was yummy too. If I could be sure my experience wasn't a one-time fluke, I would recommend this place for a first date because it has great decor, superior food, and excellent presentation and service.

This is a trendy, contemporary style sports bar that just opened in March 2013. NOTE: it is INSIDE of the Marriott! This place would be slammin' if it wasn't inside of a hotel. It's got a super clean, modern design, the food is very good, the prices aren't too bad, and they have a very good happy hour - $3 16 oz drafts, $5 select apps. The service is top notch as well since its inside of a hotel. There is plenty of seating, but they could stand to put a few more TVs. The main viewing area is pretty awesome though. Will be back for sure!

I stayed at the attached Marriott hotel during a union conference and, therefore, spent a lot of time at Champions when I didn't want to catch a cab or shuttle downtown. The place is very sleek, very modern, with lots of various seating options. Traditional tables, lounging chairs next to knee-high tables, a long, windy bar, tall bar tables, and small two person booths that line the walls, each with a TV in-set in the wall directly next to them. The main viewing area looks like a Man Cave TV Viewing Spot on steroids, with a massive TV, lounge-style chairs, and some low tables. I caught a Raiders game here on a Thursday, and enjoyed a non-stop stream of perfectly poured Stella (on draft), as well as some amazing pretzel sticks (with, of course, an outstanding beer-cheese dip). My group ate lunch and dinner here a number of times. I sampled a wide selection of items, including burgers, nachos, chicken sandwiches, ribs, and a great bone-in rib-eye steak, which was cooked perfectly. The prices were a little high, but you're at an upscale sports bar attached to an airport business hotel. That's what you get. But on the flip side, every night I spent time here (three out of four of them, in fact), I got into great conversations with random people, some from in-town, some from out. The environment seems to naturally gravitate towards being conversational. I honestly didn't feel like I was attached to a hotel while spending time here. I felt more like being in a (nicely) dim, attractive club, with a lot of very friendly people, and on the ball wait staff.

African American Guy at the reception/out front looks me up and down and asks me sarcastically, if i am coming back again... WTF was that about??? Are you really trying that hard to be trendy and upscale in Nashville,TN??? To give you a background - I had just stopped by to grab a beer on my way back from the gym and so I was casually dressed... I am a platinum elite member and have given them thousands of dollars of business every year and just because I walk into your "elite bar" in a hoodie and shorts, i am judged?? Shame on you! Get real folks....

Man. This place is nice. The bartender was awesome. Try the burger. It's fresh with all local ingredients. The plates of food I saw come out looked amazing as well. The beer is cold. The drinks are mixed perfectly. This is not a chain restaurant but a dedicated local place with good employees.

Very nice restaurant for being connected to a hotel. Great selection of food and great quality and tasty. I've had the burger that was good. Fish tacos are really good. Decent beer selection and good place to watch a game.

It's a hotel bar! This is a good place to chill a lot of local beers and the staff is very friendly as if they have to " work" for tips. Would recommend but not if you are a vacationer trying to understand the area!
