It was hard to ever walk past Fin Fusion and try this place but I'm glad we did. The service and food were both fantastic. Definitely try the loaded cheese bread and pimento cheese sandwich.

Loved it for a fun dinner with my kids. This is a great hometown family restaurant. Large selection of pizzas, sandwiches, salads and baked dishes. I got the baked lasagna with veggies and thought it was delicious.

I can't say it's my favorite for pizza. The Ceaser dressing was amazing. The salad was fresh and crispy. For an$25 pizza night, this will not be my choice again. I'd love to try the pasta and other things.

Well, we placed an order "To Go", and I hope the food is better IN the restaurant than OUT, because my Penne Pesto Pasta was basil/yes - flavor/no. It was supposed to have sun dried tomatoes, but they were halved grape tomatoes! Also, the pesto was dried basil flakes (you can pour from McCormick's spice bottle) floating in olive oil ... no garlic, no other spices, no parm ... sad! The chicken!, well, I'd guess there was MAYBE 1 to 2 oz. only. Also came with "garlic bread" which would better be described as buttered bread. Needless to say, I won't be ordering THAT again. With that said, my Mom ordered a Chef salad, which she liked. She only said that she prefers Romaine over Iceberg, but not bad. Also, my husband had the Chicken Pesto Pizza, adding roasted garlic (wish I had) and extra cheese and extra pesto sauce on the side for dipping. He said it was okay, but not as good as Newk's. We'll try it again, just not soon.

Round 2 and they did not disappoint. The loaded garlic bread is great. My wife got a salad that looked good.

I've seen this restaurant several times over the years, but I never ate there until tonight. The atmosphere is quaint - think of a little open air cafe that moved indoors ; the wait staff was friendly and upbeat; and the food was fresh and smart. I've frequented Italian restaurants growing up, and nothing tastes as fresh as what was served this evening. Two thumbs up! They've earned a customer this evening because of their hardworking staff and great tasting food!

In Murfreesboro visiting family this week. Going home tomorrow, needed to come back before we left. Hope to be back.

Best pizza ever! Apparently from an old family recipe. The red pizza sauce is so good, I highly recommend ordering your favorite ingredients with extra sauce and light cheese. Make sure to emphasize the extra sauce and light cheese so the chef will get it right. Fresh and delicious food! I haven't had better pizza anywhere!

I picked up Sauce for the first time last night. I have lived on the Church street side of town for years now, but had never even noticed the place. I'm glad I decided to stop! We order the cheesy bread and a pizza to go. It was the best pizza I have had in Murfreesboro without any question. I highly recommend it!

OK. Nothing special but not bad. The people are nice. It's a respectable space with decent parking. The pizza is thin crust. I normally perfer a thicker crust but that wasn't too big a detraction from enjoyment. For a place called Sauce though, there was hardly any sauce on the pizza. I found that amusing. I don't like my pizza swimming in red stuff, but for a place that advertises its FAMOUS homemade sauce, there should be enough of it on the pizza for you to be able to taste it. The pizza tasted good. standard toppings with a judicious amount of cheese and toppings. The garlic bread was basically a hot dog like bun sliced up with butter and granulated garlic sprinkled on. And when I say sprinkled, I mean sprinkled. When you use that stuff you put a garlic avalanche on in order to be able to have a pronounced garlic flavor which, sadly, the bread did not. the sauce that came with the bread was good. again, nothing special.

Went here for lunch today. Friendly staff and excellent food. There was not a crumb left once we were finished. I would highly recommend this place.

We had the turkey pesto sandwich, which was good, and the chicken Parmesan, which was excellent. I was dismayed by the iced tea, however. The restaurant may be Italian, but this is still the South, y'all. There is no excuse for a small, locally-owned restaurant to use that horrible Gold Peak tea.

I have seen this place up close because my wife and I frequent Fin Fusion which is next door. I never went in simply because I hadn't been in the mood for a Italian. Yesterday, I got my wife a couple sushi rolls from Fin Fusion for lunch take out, but wasn't in the mood for Sushi myself. After reviewing the pizza portion of the menu in the window at Sauce, I decided to try one. The cashier/server Andrew was really friendly and helpful in helping me choose a pizza (chose the Supreme) and he also took the time to explain that the sauce and dough were made in-house and that they used a stone oven to cook the pizzas and baked all their pastas in a porcelain dish with a layer of cheese on the top of most of them (if I remember correctly). In short, he gave out very relevant information while being engaging and friendly. The pizza itself was really great. The only complaint I have, and it's a minor one, was that the cheese, sauce and ingredients were sliding off the dough when the pizza was still very hot. As it cooled, you could actually pick up a slice without losing the cheese, sauce and ingredients. Though I know it's a pizza sin, I ended up eating my pizza with a knife and fork. But apart from that, I enjoyed the heck out of the pizza. The ingredients tasted fresh, the crust was crunchy on the outside and still soft when you took a bit into it. Overall, that fact that I ate six pizzas in one sitting tells you that it was super good pizza. I highly recommend this place, for the pizza at least, but if they cook all their other menu items with the same care and attention that they cook the pizza with, then I'm sure they are amazing as well. I look forward to going back and trying their other items.

The food was great. We will definitely return. But I do agree with others that some of the dishes are rather small but good nonetheless.

I might have been willing to give Sauce 4 stars, but nope. For the price you should get something more than a small sandwich and a bag of Lays. There are plenty of other places in town where you can get more food for the money. Sandwiches were good, the pizza was ok. Not someplace I'm likely to head back to.

Still love this place. Fresh ingredients, made from scratch yumminess! Piping hot from the oven. Try it all! Buttery think crust pizzas, fresh salads with house made dressings, great pastas and sauces, delicious sandwiches. Lots to choose from!

    * Because of the storefront sign seen from the street (and not the one on the plaza sign) I have thought that this place for the better part of a year and few months was a BBQ place... Date of Visit: 5/20/14 Tuesday Time of Day: Noon Wait Time: None Location: This is the small plaza that holds S.T.A.R. Physical Therapy, a salon, an insurance company and Fin Fusion Parking: Decent amount of space, but could easily get packed in the evening The Kroger plaza is next, but not attached, to it. Upon arrival: There was one other table with two people at it. By the time we left an additional three tables were sat. Seating: self seating Table Count: Rough guess 14 four tops Service: On top of it. Didn't have to wait for our check Wait for food: 15 minutes for lunch maybe Décor: Laid back, minimal decorating, empty frames a'la Pinterest style. Oil cloth check table cloths, and those metal framed chairs you expect to find in side room at a church. Order: Appetizer - loaded garlic bread - a small potion for two people. Bread is sort of on the flaky, buttery croissant side. One soda, The Kitchen Sink sandwich with chips and pickle, chicken alfredo with garlic bread, a kid's pizza with two toppings, molten chocolate cake with ice cream, and a slice of key lime pie. We both liked the pasta (that came out nice and hot) served in a larger sized dish similar to the ones Olive Garden uses for their sides of marinara or alfredo dipping sauces (for reference). My sub wasn't particularly big and it seemed like I got one pepperoncini and a small amount of tomato relish. it came with a bag of Lay's Kettle chips I think. If you are a huge dude (or voracious lady) this might fall short for you. The kid's pizza was a thin crust with plenty of cheese. Total Bill: About $35 Only "Eh" about the place: Granted it is hot out, it was pretty warm inside.

Ate there tonight after finding the reviews on Yelp. All the reviews were spot on, the pizza was excellent! Very clean, laid back, casual atmosphere. The menu has a lot of variety, including create your own pizza or pasta. No draft beer, but good selection of bottled beers including Fat Tire & Yazoo. We had the Hawaiian pizza. It's New York thin crust style which is the way we like it. Loved it, just the right amount of cheese and toppings and the crust was excellent. Service was great. The one downside was that he was the only one running the register and waiting on customers which slowed things down a little. However, he did a great job and was very friendly. Support great local businesses and go check out Sauce. You'll probably see us there because we'll definitely be back.

We had my birthday lunch with my family there! I had the Grilled Parmesan Chicken. It had great flavor and the bread was awesome! Everyone enjoyed their food and they were able to handle our party of 17 with ease. The waitress was friendly and the restaurant was clean. Best of all it is locally owned. We will be back!

My husband and I love this place. It's never crowded or too busy no matter what time we go. The atmosphere is nice and inviting. He loves the lasagna and I love the penne bolognese. The pizza isn't the greatest but it's not bad either, but we always get the dishes. Grilled chicken salad was really good too as well as the the desert. We weren't big fans of the cheesecake though.

Yelp has helped us find new and good places many times; this time not the case. The meat pizza (pig) was thin and crunchy, but was alright. The meat and veggie pizza we ordered (supreme) was thin as well, but it was dripping and a watery substance filled the tray and made the pizza fall apart. My husband attempted to eat the pizza and when asking the server as to what the watery substance was, all he could say was "I have never seen that before" and "it maybe from the olives". The bill for a cheese bread, 4 cokes and 2 large pizzas was 48 dollars and some change, kind of expensive for a thin crust pizza place. He never offered to do anything about the soggy pizza (which only one piece was missing) even after he offered to box it up and we declined; he didn't even think to offer to adjust the bill. He was spending more time with the new set of patrons that came in and didn't seem to care after the bill was delivered.

Not sure where restaurateurs got the impression that slapping a flat screen tv on the wall adds ambiance, but they've got that covered at Sauce. There were about 6 people in the place when we went, and it took forever. Other than the canned Sysco marinara sauce, wishbone Italian dressing, and the microwaveable garlic bread, the food was decadent. The only reason it got 2 stars is cause I got to watch Duke beat St. Johns....talk about ambiance.

Went Here tonight and had the special which was lasagna! Great price! Was amazing! There is a great special every night, my friend got the pesto pie and it was SO good too! Definitely be coming back again!

Ballin! This place is a great find! Delicious customizable pizza and pasta dishes as well as homemade desserts, all for a very reasonable price. I sampled both the pepperoni pasta and hot barbecue chicken pizza and was blown away! Fresh ingredients, and absolutely the BEST marinara and meat sauce. Servers are quick and very courteous, and the beer list is commendable. They have different entree and beer specials everyday, so check out their website for details before you go, you won't be disappointed!

Found this little place through a friend's suggestion. What lured me there was the hopes of trying their famous red velvet cheesecake. Both times I have ate there, they have been out of it, which is a testiment to how good it must be! Fell in love with the open atmosphere and the blue and white gingham tablecloths. The white pizza is to die for! Got it both times we ate there. Prices are average...not super cheap, not super expensive either. Very relaxed, rarely busy. It is a little difficult to get in and out of the parking lot since it's on busy 231 (Church Street). But other than that, I give it a thumbs up!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
