Great food at a good price. Have been to this location several times and have always had good service. The people are very friendly and always willing to explain the menu, if needed. We have tried several dishes here. My favorite is the Chicken Chimichanga. Last week we tried something new, but I can't remember the name of it. It was like fajitas. It had shrimp, carne asada steak, chicken, Mexican sausage & pork with onions & green peppers. It was really good, but pretty salty. You can get the same thing without the pork products, which I'm assuming would lower the salt intake. The cheese dip is the best I've ever had, so you gotta get that. The salsa is really good too. They have a few different kinds of beer and also have margaritas. Haven't tried them yet, maybe next time. : ) The location on Church St is actually closer to my house, but I will drive across town to go to this one. The food just tastes better to us.

For starters, this place definitely lived up to it's name, as I desperately needed a siesta after eating here. The appetizers were your standard Mexican restaurant fare, and I was quite fond of their cheese dip. The actual meal though was pretty underwhelming. The pork sandwich I had was bland and dry, and my boyfriend's tamales came covered in a watery marinara sauce, which we both agreed was a bit offputting. I was also disappointed to find their quesadillas were also lacking flavor. At least the staff was nice, and it wasn't too pricey.

The food was alright, but the service was HORRIBLE. We waited for 40 minutes to get our check and it never came. We literally had to walk up to the server (who had ignored us since we sat down) and get him to charge us for our meal. When we asked for some sort of explanation all he said was "we're busy with customers". Did I miss something or are my friend and I not your customers?? Definitely will not be returning to this location.

I usually eat at the Greenland or Church St locations, but we were in the area so stopped in this location. Definitely NOT the same quality or service as the others. Server was nice but after repeating my order three times he still got it wrong. Sweet tea tasted like a marinated jock strap. Food was mediocre at best. Won't eat here again.

The pictures added to this page are actually of the Smyrna location. In regards to this Murfreesboro location, I've eaten here many times. It was the most recent when I ate here with a friend that I got FOOD POISONING from the chicken that I stopped going to this location. We were sick for days after ordering our usual. The Smyrna location is much better.

I was visiting family and they suggested we go to this Mexican Restaurant - they said it's the best one they've found since they moved from Southern California. The problem with us Native So Cal people is that we are used to GREAT Mexican food everywhere we look and anytime we go outside of SoCal we can't find places - so I can see where my family was coming from. However this place was simply not up to par in my opinion. They have a Mexican side and Peruvian side to their menu - the downside is that 2 people in our party of 7 ordered Peruvian food but since it takes longer they food did not come until 5-7 minutes after the our food arrived - which if you know anything about etiquette causes either for one side to have cold food waiting for all the people to have their food - or for some people to appear rude. I ordered three beef crunchy tacos with beans and rice - the tacos came out and the shells were the ones that you buy from the store that come in boxes - I don't even remember if the food tasted good I just remember looking at everyone else's plate and then being so disappointed in mine. My mom ordered fajitas that looked great as did the cheese enchiladas my dad ordered. Perhaps if I had ordered something else I would have been happier but a taco shell from a box at a Mexican restaurant is ridiculous. The Peruvian food looked okay, and my cousin said it was decent. If my family took me back there again I would definitely order something else.

It's the K-Mart of Mexican food here in the 'Boro. I can get pretty much anything they server, and get it better, somewhere else. I still go in occasionally when I'm in a rush (I live just around the corner from one location) and just have to have Mexican. It isn't even in my top five for Mexican here. The take out portions of most products is fairly small, but have the same price as the larger sit-in meal. Fat guy disappointment. =(

Great food. Great Staff. Ask for Tony, Poco or Pepe. The Tacos Carni Asada is fantastic. I don't drink Margaritas but the beer is cold.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
