Decent Mexican food. I went there for lunch, quick service and reasonable prices. The vegetarian burrito was really good. There are two types of guacamole on the menu: the default "guacamole" is tasteless and bland and tastes like pureed avocado. the other "guacamole (some mexican word)" was almost like pico de gallo with diced avocado in it, it was pretty tasty. The free salsa & chips were pretty good too. Worth a visit.

The go-to Mexican restaurant in Murfreesboro. Try the Pollo con Queso...fajita chicken covered in cheese sauce with rice and beans!

How pathetic.... Sit down with a party of 10 on a business lunch. Server Immediately messes up drink order and comes back to spill a drink right on every chip, never bothered to clean the ice up. Less than five minutes later before even taking our order brings out the Queso and drops the whole bowl all over one of my workers arms. And as I stare at him with a look of astonishment he gives me a f-you look and asks if he can help me with anything. What a joke. As a manger of a restaurant for many years and now a small business owner, I believe capitalism will put the restaurant out of business before too long if the service is regularly like this. And by the attitude of this server, I would say it's pretty regular. I wish I could give no stars. Yelp should really look into that. Abelino was the server responsible for the murder of this dining experience .... Food wasn't even close to good enough to bring back for the worst service I've ever received . So to go back to my very first words about this experience, pathetic. Management, food quality, and worst of all service.... The stoned 16 year olds who work their first job at Taco Bell offer better service than this restaurant. won't be back ever and strongly suggest you save yourself the trouble.

Much more seating (and great patio space) compared to my previously reviewed location on Broad street. Of course it's the same food as the other Camino Real locations but the service here is much better. My server last night (I forgot to catch his name) was quick and efficient with all questions/ requests. Typically this location can get pretty busy being next to campus, but they don't usually have too long of a wait. Good seating for bigger parties and the patio is awesome if the weather is right! Only downside last night was the cashier experience, she was more interested in her phone than ringing us up. Typical (but still unacceptable) interaction in our social media obsessed day and age.

It makes me cringe to think that this is the best Mexican restaurant in "the boro". But my sister said it too and that's why we went here. Everything was edible but not everything was good. The worst part was the bean burrito. The beans were gross and the sauce tasted like Prego. Not exactly what you would expect. For the food quality this place seems over priced. But they do give a discount if you are a MTSU student and have your i.d.

Last night we took some out of town friends here for Cinco de Mayo. I realize that it is basically the busiest day of the year at a Mexican restaurant. We noticed from the get-go that our waiter was sassy. We ordered margaritas and my mango version was delicious. Since I always order fish tacos, I decided to order something different so I chose the tamale trio (veggie, chicken, and pork) and requested all veggie tamales with a side of rice. Despite the crowd it didn't take too long for our food to come out. Our waiter left and I immediately saw chicken in the tamales. It took a few minutes before he came back around but I told him I had ordered only vegetarian tamales. He seemed very annoyed and took my plate away. I got up to use the bathroom and when I came back, a menu was sitting on the table. I asked my husband what it was about and he told me they couldn't make the tamales vegetarian... even though they were clearly on the menu? I sat there and ate rice until we grabbed him so I could order something different. I ordered veggie fajitas with corn tortillas. By the time my fajitas came out, everyone was basically finished eating and I was not super hungry anymore because of chips and salsa, rice, and alcohol. They gave me flour tortillas and I had to ask our waiter twice for corn. The second time he very sarcastically told me that they were coming and they had to make them first. Once he handed them to me I tossed them on the table and he said he was sorry that the kitchen messed up. I told him I understood that but his attitude had been horrible the entire time we were there. He said he knew I was angry and my food would be free. I had a couple pieces of cauliflower and they did taste good but I was over this place at that point. I guess stuff like that is to be expected when you go on May 5th and special order something but our waiter's attitude was terrible and the staff paid more attention to singing happy birthday to 4 different people on the patio than actually checking in on their tables. Worst Cinco de Mayo experience I've ever had. I'm rating 2 stars instead of 1 only because of previous dining experiences here but I won't be back.

The porch is better than the drinks are better than the food.* Which is to say that their food tastes just like all the other Mexican places in Murfreesboro. I swear they're all owned by the same people, just randomly given different names. It's ok; I guess I've had worse. The drinks and the happy hours are great. Probably the same mixes found at every other Murfreesboro Mexican joint, but... The porch is larger than 3 MTSU dorm rooms combined. In the winter, they seal out the cold and turn up the heaters out there. In the summer, there's nowhere better to enjoy generic margaritas and enchiladas The porch is better than the drinks are better than the food. *Did you know Yelp won't allow greater than/ less than signs? What the yelp? I thought this was a rating website

I was over-charged and treated very poorly! The manager would not honor their specials. He was rude and very cocky. I told him we would not be back. He said "fine, have a nice day!" They do not care about the customers and have gotten to big for their own britches! I highly DO NOT recommend! Very poor service! This is for the location at 2628 Rideout Lane, Murfreesboro, Tn 37128 (I could not find this location on Yelp)

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
