This location was clean and the girl who took my order was very friendly and took care of an issue that came up very quickly. They were really busy with a line to the door when I came in, so it took a while to get our food, but thankfully not too long because we were planning to see a movie after eating at Paradiso. I ordered the Turkey and Cranberry Griller sandwich (a seasonal sandwich) with a side of applesauce. It was pretty good but nothing spectacular or memorable. I usually get their potato soup in a bread bowl which has been a long-time favorite of mine, but I decided to try it since I had never seen it on the menu before. Overall, it is a decent place to grab a quick bite to eat. Tip: They will give you a Supper Club punch card if you ask for it where you get a free entree after 5 pm after you buy 9 entrees and get your card punched. They also offer refills on your sweet tea if you ask.

This honestly isn't a bad mcalister's. My second favourite one in the city (after the one on germantown pkwy). They've since been improving themselves so i'm going to review it with 4 stars! Noticeable updates: -Food comes out on these "restaurant-like" plates! it makes you feel like you're at like the fanciest mcalister's ever. haha. -floor and amenities just look cleaner in general -I think they enhanced their lighting? because it looks a lot more open, bright, and inviting than last time Every mcalister's menu is the same, so theres not much to talk about here. I always get the you pick two - chicken salad sandwich on crossaint (omg so good, the crossaint is slightly warm and slightly crunchy and flakey on the outside--how i love my crossaints! and the chicken salad inside is made perfectly), with a savannah chopped salad.

Place was clean. Fast and somewhat friendly. I tried the pastrami sandwich. Which I been looking for in Memphis for awhile. The tea was good. First time here and maybe will try again sometime.

Always tasty sandwhiches. I always go for the choose 1 sandwich, choose 1 side.

I visited this location for a lunch meeting. I think the service both of the counter folks and the manager walking around, checking on tables, was excellent! I ordered the Reuben and while it was prepared very well, I feel there could have been more kraut and meat on the sandwich. I did not care for their coleslaw at all, and would definitely choose a different side like one of the several chips option they have, next time instead.

I got a chipotle chicken sandwich with chicken tortilla soup. Everything tasted ok, just ok. The sandwich had two little grey pieces of chicken that left most of the sandwich with bread and sauce. The soup had about 4 or 5 small bits of chicken and had the consistency of gravy, which I found strange. I might go back, but I will never get either of these items again.

I've been to McAlister's a few times, and it's a popular place. I actually have a different favorite, so it's not my first choice, but I must take the time to make mention of one item. Try the loaded potatoes. They come with everything -- I believe bacon, sour cream, cheese, you name it. And they're enormous -- a meal in themselves. Absolute comfort food. The other times that I've been there it's just been so-so, nothing out of the ordinary.

I'm really beginning to love McAlister. They make the best sweet tea and I absolutely love their broccoli and cheese soup. My daughter loved it first and now she's got me hooked. This is my first time at this location, and it seem to be very popular. Was a little slow getting food, but it is lunchtime. BTW, the Southwest Turkey Melt is extremely good.

I've been to McAlister's my fair share of times and will say it is a nice place to pick up a sandwich, salad or bowl of soup. It reminds me a lot of a Panera Bread (we had those back home- not sure about their existence in the southern states) and is pretty typical of a borderline chain restaurant/deli. I do not like their Sweet Chipotle Chicken salad. The fat-free peach dressing is all wrong with the tortillas and the tomatoes, and the grilled chicken chunks were not homemade. They were rubbery and had those fake grill line marks in them. Ick-tastic. The tortilla soup is pretty decent, very flavorful with just a hint of a kick- and perfectly paired with a handful of crushed tortilla chips. My favorite McAlister's treat? The Big Nasty. It is roast beef served on an open faced hoagie style bread with melted cheese and what they call "come-back" gravy. When I asked what the "come-back" gravy was, the sales guy replied with "it's gravy that's so good you'll keep coming back." Excellent marketing McAlister's- points for you. This sandwich is phenomenal. It is also huge enough to serve 2-3. My husband and I couldn't even finish it amongst the 2 of us. The roast beef is really fresh, tender and juicy, and that gravy works amazingly with the cheese and crunchy, toasty bread. Mmmmm. So good. McAlister's is pretty reasonably priced- and I find that you can always get something decent on their menu- but next time you find yourself inside their doors, order a Big Nasty with their famous "come-back" gravy and a large sweet tea. It's the bomb-diggity.

iced tea is the only good thing, everything else is a bit over priced and just not very good

You know, I don't eat here very often, but every time I do I end up asking myself, "why?". They have a great expanded deli menu with a lot to choose from. I love their spuds, available with a kazillion different toppings such as chili, chicken and even pot roast. Hey - meat and potatoes are a classic combo, right? I also love the soup served up in a bread bowl. Delicious! And the Paninis are excellent too, especially the Havarti Sweet Chipolte Chicken. There are several locations in town, and all of them are clean and well staffed, so you don't typically have to wait long.

I have been going to McAlister's for a long time.Very laid back deli.Nice atmosphere. It seems from the looks of things that changes have taken place.Looks like they have a new manager who is very visible from past visits.Which is a good thing. In the past i would order my food, depending on what it was,it would take five to ten minutes. Now,it's an average wait of fifteen minutes,Not griping.Just what i have noticed. There salad bowls are bigger, like Newk's Express Cafe.Nothing wrong with wanting to get an order right. Anyway,my favorite meals at McAlister's is the new spicy southwest chicken sandwich.Topped with chicken, cheese, sprinkled with corn, and guacomole.Hope i spelled it right.I don't normally like guacomole, but this adds a nice touch to the sandwich.Another is the grilled chicken cesar wrap.I like to have a side of sun chips with both sandwiches. The grilled chicken club is also good.I get it without the bacon. I also like McAlisters salad's.The savanah chopped salad and the grilled chicken. By the way i forgot to mention McAlister's is within walking distance of the Paradiso movie theatre. So,if your looking to get a meal before or after you see a movie,or wherever your going or came from i recommend McAlister's.Plus you get free refills.Enjoy!! (: My girlfriend and i recently went to McAlister's a couple weeks ago.I ordered a salad and she had a sandwich and chips. We ordered around 12:38pm.We didn't get our meal till 1:15.I asked what the problem was and the new girl lost our ticket. One of the manager's asked if we wanted a free cookie.Uh,no thanks. On three different occasions i have come here and ordered a simple sandwich and chips.Took fifteen minutes to get out.I was a faithful customer, after the last incident i will not be returning.

The location near Paradiso. The pre or post matinee place to grab a bite over cinematic studies. Be aware that the parking situation on weekend nights is precarious at best. Great sandwiches, soups and deserts and iced tea you've come to expect. The pastrami based sandwiches are my favorite (its the most sensual of the salted cured meats) and the tortilla soup is unusually good for a made from a mix soup.
