Joe's has long been a favorite for a taste of the coast! Granted its a chain, but I've never had a bad time. The steamer pots are awesome for a date night, especially if you split one and get an app. The atmosphere is noises, but that's part of the excitement! Wait staff is always great! We stay at the Hyatt and have a few Cat5 drinks :)

This was my 1st time at this one. . I ordered a shark attack & there was no alcohol in it. It tasted like flavored water. & my food was very bland no seasoning at all.. the only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the staff was very friendly..

Much better than it was previously. I think they have new management and staff as this visit far exceeded our visit from a couple of years ago. Staff was very friendly and attentive. They messed up our double dip order and the manager came over unsolicited and both owned up to their mistake, apologized, and took it off of our bill! The food was as good as can be expected for a seafood chain. We are fans again!!!

Joes was a yummy change of pace. We had a funny, helpful waiter and the patio punch was a great cocktail. We each got a different crab pot, and the crab legs, shrimp, and corn were very good!

What is going on at Joes? I remember when Joes was the coolest place to eat. The atmosphere sucks, the decor is no longer "shackish" and the waitresses are less than enthusiastic, and the food is lousy. I had the classic steam pot. I don't know what kind of seasoning that was on it but it was horrible, all I could taste was the seasoning.

This Joes is not as good as the others i have been to. The staff was inadequate. The food was alright. I go to restaurants because of service and food and failed on both accounts. The lobster was overcooked and so was the shrimp and crawfish. It may have been because it was a weekday late lunch but that shouldn't be a excuse. I would still eat at joes but not this location.

Not a huge fan of Joes, however it is so close to the house we come here often for the Bar. The service is always good, bathrooms are clean. I am just not a fan of how the food is prepared. Not much on the menu appeals to me. However if you are into this type of menu, this place is fine.

The food selection is so good and such a fun atmosphere that it is a shame the service is so hit and miss. The crab pots are my absolute favorite and also the crab dip. If it is nice weather, I love to be able to sit outside!

Atrocious costumer service... Creating an atmosphere so uncomfortable starvation wouldn't suffice as a reason to stay.

This was a great place to just relax and eat good seafood. Our waiter Westley was the best, yes he took time out and explain the items on the menu to my wife. The Food was good and our waiter Westley was on point. We will be returning and yes we will ask for Westley.

We were so excited to be going to joes, because its been years since I've been. My family and I all ordered different boiling pots. They came out pretty fast and the food was amazing! I haven't had crab like that ever. We were thoroughly impressed with dinner. The deserts were ehh I got the turtle brownie sundae and it tasted old and stale, but I wasn't there for desert. We had a nice waitress but she disappeared a lot so we waited a while for our ticket. Overall the food was worth all. We will be back!

I was craving crab legs so i decided to head out to joe's. It was very crowded for a monday night and the wait time was 30 minutes, so i decided to sit at the bar. Very loud and annoying atmosphere. I ordered the crab dip as an appetizer and Crab legs of course. The crab dip was pretty good. As for the crab legs, not that good. You could tell it was not fresh, it was also covered in black spots which I didnt find appetizing. wont be coming back

Went there for dinner on 5-29-15 with three other ladies at approximately 6:00PM. This was my FIRST time at the restaurant and they did not make a very good impression on me since we traveled over an hour to eat here. We waited about ten minutes to be seated. Waitress got our drinks and two bowls of chowder promptly. Then we waited an hour before she came back or our meal was delivered. I asked the hostess for the manager and when he came I explained we had been waiting over an hour for our meal, the chowder bowls had NOT be removed, nor our drinks refilled. The waitress had NOT been to our table but the one time. Neither the waitress nor the manager had a name tag on. People that arrived after us had already received and eaten their meals and were leaving. Within five minutes of telling the manager we received our food and he checked on us several times after that but never offered to reduce our meal, a complimentary dessert, or coupons for the future. I thought this was very unprofessional. I realize it was a busy time of day but they had plenty of staff it appeared. The food was excellent but the service the pits and I have no desire to ever go back to "Joe's Crab Shack", in Cordova, TN I have no desire to eat there again as there are other seafood restaurants in the Memphis area that are just as good and my money is welcome at all of them I'm sure.

Hit or miss is definitely the best way to describe this. At least any time recently I've not had bad service, quite the opposite. The service is always great. But it's the food that can either be amazing or just meh at best. Their crab dip is always great and never disappoints. The steampots are good if you're willing to splurge a little bit as they can be a bit pricy. For just one person it isn't bad but if you have a bunch of people in your party, it really adds up. The other entrées I've tried though are subpar. Their fish is rather bland, the scallops are so small that by the time the batter crisps, the scallop is rubber. Also, their crab cakes are too spicy. Also, the atmosphere in here just sucks. If it's busy and/or if there's kids there, it's just too loud. If it's dead, it's so quiet, but in a bad way.

Drink menu was sticky and needed to be cleaned. It seemed like I was interrupting the help to make them bring me food and refills. Unfortunately I travel to the area a lot and this is the easiest place to walk to for supper. Next time I'll put more effort into planning another restaurant.

My dad and I came all the way from little rock, AR to eat here since it is a fam all time fav restaurant. When we first got there our waitress forgot about us but than the manager came and apologized. He offered us a free dinner and gave us an outstanding service! He was super friendly and attentive, no wonder he is the manager. Plus the food was delicious like always! We left happily and will definitely return.

It's hit or miss here and the last 3 times they missed service is good and since most of the food is prepackaged I can only blame it on the person preparing the food... Probably won't give em another shot 3 stroked your out

Never again. I was craving crawfish, ordered the Voodoo queen steampot. Scrawniest crawfish I have ever seen! There was no actual steam in the pot, was served slightly warm. Might as well serve it on a plate, because it didn't even reach the halfway mark of the steampot. At least 1/4 of the weight in crawfish was made up for with random broken claws/legs. Waitress forgot our to-go box twice. Can't say I'm a fan of this particular location. The highlight was the children's playground. My son enjoyed that.

It's either a hit or miss with this place. When they're busy it takes forever to get seated. Now when you actually get seated you might get quick service or the waitress may rarely come check on you. I love their crab legs and the crab artichoke dip is awesome.

Crappy instant coffee. Loud, orders are always mixed up. Food is reasonably good, service is usually attentive and responsive. Poor selection of replacements if you don't want the "dirty rice".

We are not from Memphis but travel here often. We almost always stop at Joe's to fill our bellies with scrumptious seafood, usually for a late lunch. I have tried nearly everything on the menu, and have not been let down once. The staff always seems to be at the top of their game! If you're going to be one the east side of Memphis, have a few dollars in your pocket, and want good seafood, go to Joe's. it's a little difficult to find (the first time we found it on accident), but it's worth it.

Specialty tacos's were pretty good! Crab and sea food platters are good but be carefull if you don't like it spicy because they throw a lot of spices on there...

it's kind of a rip off to get a few crab legs for $30. but i guess that's because i'm comparing it to the casino seafood buffet in tunica where you can have all you can eat crab legs and every seafood you can think of and then some for $25. but since tunica is a 2 hour drive for me, i tend to come here alot since my husband and i crave crab legs alot. place is usally noisy and fun. and staff are usually pretty good. place is always clean. i usually get the joe's bbq seasoning for my flavor but it can get too salty sometimes. we will continue to come here when craving crabs since a 2 hour drive isn't always an option.

Wow where do I begin? The waitress was very nice, friendly, helpful and went that extra yard to make are meal great! The manager even stopped by to make sure everything was ok. The food was perfect in every way! I had the coconut Shrimp and a plum pineapple sauce..yummy It was my daughters 13th birthday and they dressed her up like a chicken and sang to her it was fun. My wife had the crab and she never eats all her meal at one sitting but she did and loved it! I want to thank all the crew at Joe's crab shack!

We had great service starting with the hostesses & our waitress. It was a lot of fun as the kids were a distracted with the little playground. Our waitress was very attentive and kept checking up on us. Kids enjoyed their and most of all my wife & I get to order off menu. It's all about the crawfish. Its spicy-delicious and tasted very fresh. Great experience.

I went here and we enjoyed our food and drinks. We walked over from our hotel one night just to hang out. Our waiter was great and the manager came out to the patio to greet us and ask us how everything was. I thought that was nice of him !!!! I would recommend this place. The prices are not cheap but, affordable.

A great place to hang out and have dinner with the family. My wife loved one of the big crab leg dinners. The kids really enjoyed the playground and sand.

Took the family out for dinner Sunday to Joe's Crab Shack. So here's the break down. The hostess was absolutely horrible. She wasn't mean or anything just really crappy service. Barely spoke to us when we walked in and before we even made it to the table, she walked off. We have two children, a two yr old and a seven month old. Obviously, our family would require a high chair and a booster seat. Did the hostess fetch these for us, NO! I had to walk around and find them on my own and tote them back to our table. Our waitress was nice and attentive to our needs. I had the Blackened Mahi Mahi sandwich and the wife had Fish-n-Chips. We also ordered the "Create Your Own" appetizer. All of it tasted great. However, this place charges a little too much for their food. All three orders were $10.00+ and while it was good, it wasn't worth the $39 we paid. I've had better fish for a lower price. They did have a playground (with dirty sand) that my two yr old loved!
