My dad took me and 2 of my sisters here. We all had the salad bar and I shared a reuben with one of my sisters. The salad bar was very good. A nice lettuce mix, plus spinach, and lots of goodies to put on top. I also liked the fruit. The reuben wasn't good. There was so much meat you couldn't fit it in your mouth. (I know, you're not supposed to complain about too much meat...but seriously...) The bread wasn't *really* toasted...it was just barely warm. I'll go back, but I won't waste my time (or money) on sandwiches.

I really have never understood the appeal of this place. Every time I am in a big group of people invariably someone says hey we should eat at Jason's Deli. The sandwiches seem a bit overpriced, and uninspiring and lack any sort of of flair or individuality. Its just bland takes on the same sandwiches that everyone else makes. There is an infinite list of more interesting restaurants in the same price range, and if I wanted to make a sandwich like I could get at Jason's I could just go home, make one that was much better, not pay for it and not waste my time in a very very blah atmosphere.

The popular deli chain has opened near the old Highland Quartet, convenient to the University district. Good place for soups and sandwiches, it gets a little crowded around lunch time. A little on the spendy for deli food, but students can get a discount with i.d.

I hate Jason's Deli. Hate. The last time I went here, the guy at the register didn't seem to understand our order, even though my boyfriend and I both asked for exactly the same thing -- salad bar and a side of chicken (to, you know, put on our salads). As in, my boyfriend ordered, and then said, "She'll have the same," and the guy just did not get it. We moved down the line to collect our chicken and our salad plates, where the chick just stared at us, and we had to go back to the register and re-explain our very simple order. The salad bar itself is ok. Maybe I'm just a snob, but I'd rather have something freshly prepared than stuff that's been sitting out for who knows how long. The side of chicken, so painfully obtained, was cold and not that great, and the salad I put together was just eh. Definitely over-priced for what it was -- I won't be back.

I love Jason's Deli for the salad bar. It's huge and I actually crave it. I'd much prefer to go local for sandwiches, because you can get a good sandwich several places in Memphis, but for convenience, sometimes we go here. I wish I could eat their italian pasta salad every day of my life. The chicken club wrapini is also really great, but they are really heavy on the meat, so you can ask for them to go light on that.

First time here and must say it was good. The menu has many options which makes it hard to decide. I opted for just the salad bar. This is by far the best salad bar in Memphis. I usually go to Danvers for the salad but now have a new fav. The customer service is on point. The guy who gave me my plate noticed I brushed a crumb off my new plate and he quickly offered me a cleaner plate. I will be returning!!

The place is clean and roomy. Order at the counter and they deliver to your table. Wide selection to choose from. The salad bar rocks. The food taste good and isn't pricy. The service is friendly and fast.

So...I'm rather late in the game as I had never been to Jason's Deli. So tonight while I was running errands before work, I decided to stop by and get a salad. I ordered a chicken club salad. Paid, and even left a tip. When I got to work and opened the bag......what was in the bag was a bowl of fruit. On lettuce. A bowl of fruit. This is not a chicken club salad. So while I'm sure it's good fruit, you ruined my first impression. And I seriously doubt I'll be back. To any of the chains.

Undoubtedly, they have one of the best salad buffets in Memphis for just $8.99 which also includes soft serve and ice cream. They have almost every ingredient required for salad. I was impressed to see hummus as one of the dressings. They have complimentary crackers, garlic breads (more like croutons), variety of nuts and fruits with Greek yogurt. It would be excellent if they also include sprouts and guacamole as a part of salad bar. You can add soup (one serving bowl) with your salad for just $1.

I have had a number of Reuben sandwiches in my time, but Jason's has a very good one...and I've enjoyed their Reuben many times. First, the meat, 'kraut and bread are all good. Second, they provide a generous amount of meat with each sandwich. In fact, sometimes I have to take half of it home for another meal. If you haven't tried theirs, check out the Reuben at Jason's Deli. You'll be glad you did.

One of the best places in town to get a salad or something healthy. The cleanliness and organization of the place along the staff are always great. A place that has 5 stars.

I gave my order to the cashier 3 times. What is so hard about corned beef on rye with mustard, cold meat and cold bread? The steam table dries out the meat so I always get it cold for the freshness. I usually go to the Ridgeway location and most times they don't understand cold. I foolishly trusted the sandwich was correct, after all I told the cashier 3 time what I wanted, but I get home and the meat is warm and of course dry and it is half the size of the sandwiches you get from the Ridgeway location and the same price. It was not busy and there were two ladies in front of me waiting for take out. One worried she would be late back to work because the service was so slow. It took about 10 minutes to get my order and even when the one on Ridgeway is packed full with 5 or 6 people waiting for take out, it is a lot faster. Their corned beef is some of the best I have tasted, too bad inept employees will keep me from returning to this location.

A little pricey, but I always have a great dining experience. The food always comes out quick, and the ingredients are fresh! The staff seem well-trained too. The young man at the register, Jonathan, was very friendly and helpful. I wanted to try something new, and he gave many great suggestions! Will definitely come back!

It's a bit expensive, but the food is good. The beefeater sandwich is awesome. I usually go for a sandwich and the salad bar and am stuffed when I leave. The atmosphere is nice too. I think the prices are the main reason I don't eat there more often.

I love Jason's deli's healthier options and reasonable pricing but this location is often times dirty and the customer service is substandard.

Jason's deli is a great place for lunch. Its quick and easy and they also give discounts to all of you UofM students. Not to mention that you can get free soft serve ice cream after your meal.

  • Celia M.

This place is ok... but not great. Service is non-existant for the most part. You make your own drinks. You can build your own sandwiches, but I wouldn't suggest the pasta dishes. All in all, the food is kind of mediocre, and around lunch time, it takes a while to get your food. I probably won't go back again.

If ordered on line, be careful of the price posted!! We ordered 2 New York Yankee sandwiches listed at $8.59 per on Google. We were charged $11.00 per sandwich and told they just had not updated the Google web site. (Their problem and shouldn't be ours). We then checked Yelp and they also had it listed at $8.59. Jason's did not offer to make anything right in any way. Beware!

You can't go wrong eating here. They have fresh sandwiches, and good soups (I like their tomato soup.) It's also a cool place to hang out with friends: the atmosphere is very casual.
