We went to the wine tasting last week and it was fabulous, the Wulfe mahi was really good. It was a great value for the price; 4 courses paired with wine @ $40/person. Definitely looking forward to the next event.

I truly love this place, never had a bad meal here and the service is great. Many different items on the menu and all I have tried were very good. I would certainly recommend this place and I only wish it was a little closer to the house.

Decent chain restaurant! We've been here several times. I had the chicken parmesan the other night and it wasn't wonderful. My husband had the veal, but his was very good! If you're looking for a decent Italian restaurant, give it a try!

Review is for Carside Carryout only: this is the ultimate take out! You place an order online drive to the special parking spot behind the restaurant sit and wait and the food is brought to your car by a friendly server. How convenient! No need to drag the kids inside or wait at the bar. Server was Amanda she was very nice she greeted me brought me check to pay brought me a drink while I waited and then brought out hot food and put in the car. I ordered the salmon with steamed spinach and a side of chicken soup. Everything was hot and tasted healthy and delicious. The focaccia bread was delicious and they included the nice herb and olive oil dipping sauce for it. Coupons for next time in the bag. It was a Monday and I didn't have to do dishes so I'm coming back next week for this lazy Monday experience!

"Normally I don't do chains," says every "foodie" on the planet. Well I do, most especially when it comes to Italian food. Sorry, not sorry. Carrabba's is just the bees knees. The pasta sauce flavors (esp. tag pic pac) are in your face and I love it. I also could eat 800 loaves of that fresh, warm bread dipped in yummy oil. Not a huge fan of their remodel and will refuse to ever be sat at a high table again (if I'm not at a bar, my feet must touch the ground or I feel like I'm 8 years old).

Normally don't do chains, but we were nearby and we had liked Carrabba's in the past. Food was mediocre, service was poor. They were in a hurry to feed you and rush you out and you could tell. Learned my lesson, not again.

This was our second time eating here and both times have been good. The first time I had crab cakes but I wasn't entirely crazy about it. Also I remember service being slow. Our past trip was an improvement. Our server greeted us quickly but gave us time to look over the menu. He took our drink orders and came back to say the Dr. Pepper machine was broken?? I ordered a lemonade instead. It needed sugar, which he brought me. The bread they bring before the meal was sooo good and soft. I could have eaten a loaf by myself. I ordered a small portion of Chicken Parmesan. It was amazing! I made the mistake of getting garlic mashed potatoes as my side instead of the pasta. The potatoes still had the skin which I can't stand. Luckily my mom had some noodles she was willing to share. I would totally recommend the chicken parm. I ate every bite!! Our server kinda started to lack around the time our food came out. We noticed him standing around talking to other servers. It wouldn't have been so bad if we weren't out of bread! He came back by though and brought us to go boxes and I asked for to go bread. Overall it was a great meal!

You're out of PIZZA DOUGH already? And you wait 20 minutes to tell me? I'm not happy. Maybe I should've gone to Collierville...or to another place.

Drumroll please, prepare to hate on me! I don't love this place, who knew you could go wrong with pasta?! I give the ambiance and music 5 stars, the service is great and that free bread, yum. But that is about where my compliments end. The food is not great, it's not horrible, decent at best. I feel like for the prices they charge the food could be a bit tastier, it's a bit blah. The salads and drinks can be pretty delicious but for an Italian place that focuses on pasta the pasta could be better.

I love the blackberry sangria here, the delicious fresh warm bread, and the chicken dish i had was pretty doggone tasty. My daughter enjoyed her shrimp and scallop linguine pasta, she enjoyed it with the shrimp but did not like the scallops, they were the small bay scallops and were rubbery and fishy tasting. I tried a steak at another location in Denver last time, it was delicious. I will return to this place.

I searched the poplar area in Memphis for a nice but not to pricey night out. After looking through all the yelp and tripadvisor listings and reviews, back to one of my favs, carabas. The service was amazing. They even made a special dish for my son that was not on the menu. Love their season drinks and it's very reasonable for the very yummy food.

Stopped in with a work group this evening for a small Xmas get together. There were 7 of us. We arrived around 5:00pm so it wasn't crowded. It took approx 25 minutes to get drinks from the bar which arrived incomplete. We ordered apps, and they were just ok. As long as we had to wait for them, I expected them to at least come out hot - not just warm. The waitress was even assisted yet he was no help. We ordered crab cakes, and split them to share upon arrival. There were still pieces left when the waiter reached for them then asked if we were done. I told him no, and he oddly replied "Well, that's why I asked." To which I replied "and that's why I answered." Food gets one star, and service gets one star. That's why I gave them a generous two.

Three - four - three - four - three stars, how many to give? So many of the things I disliked were specific to this one visit (excessively long wait, etc), but in balance Carrabba's is just not what I think of when I think four stars. So we went on Valentine's Day night, but got there at 5:30 PM and still had to wait over an hour! The place was absolutely packed - it's not that big to begin with, but then there were a lot of people who wanted to eat there that night, and we were behind many of them!! Once we got seated, our waiter was efficient, although we did have to remind him once about our wine/beer order. He brought out the fried cheese sticks, and they seemed a little over-done to me - almost bordering on burned. The side salads were as expected, but the dressing was really outstanding (the House vinaigrette). The meals everyone got seemed to please all - my pork tenderloin was a little crispy (sensing a theme here - a little to much heat in the kitchen)....but the sautéed spinach was cooked perfectly, great flavor and cooked just right. Other favorites at the table included the Chicken Brian (with extra lemon butter sauce) and Pollo Rosa Maria. I think I would probably go back again, to give the place another shot - just not at one of the busiest times of the year!

The service was horrifically slow. Out of all of the things that we ordered, the bread was the best part. After finishing the bread and most of our water, the soup finally comes out and our waitress says the bread will be out shortly (never did). The Pic Pac chicken was soggy. The dessert (which was what I was looking forward to the most) was literally finished within 2 minutes, yet it took over 20 minutes to come out. This was my first time at any Carrabba's and needless to say, I won't be returning. The only reason why I'm not giving this review less stars is because our waitress was at least nice.

Some pretty good food options here, but really odd and slow service and a disgusting pizza made the experience sub-par. Our waiter was....something else. He had a bunch of strange mannerisms and weird turns of phrase that often ended in an awkward silence. This would've been fine by itself, but we had a good 20 minute wait in between ordering drinks and seeing him again to order food and get the drinks. During this time, the oil was poured but the bread didn't come out for another 30 minutes and then, after another wait, the soup/salads came out at basically the same time. All told, we were there nearly two hours, not counting the wait after our ostensible reservation time. I enjoyed my food (the Marsala sauce was excellent and the vegetables and soup were surprisingly good), but my dining companions' orders were much less impressive. The calamari felt like someone had squeezed fried goo onto fish-flavored goo. The pizza was compared unfavorably to the cardboard box that a pizza might come in and was left mostly uneaten. This is really 2.5 stars, but I'm rounding down because with prices this high, you expect higher quality food and service.

I went to Carrabbas on the recommendation of my wife. So we went after church this past Sunday. There was no waiting to be seated, however, I did not like being placed by the door on a cool Sunday afternoon. I decided to try their Salmon instead of going with a pasta dish. A very bad mistake. The Salmon was not too bad, it was okay. But at the end of the day I was not impressed. My Dad would say that's what I get ordering Seafood at an Italian Restaurant. However, I must admit that the Salmon at my weekly Italian place (Old Venice) is terrific. I will give them another try and I am curious about trying their wheat pasta.

Came highly recommended, the chicken flatbread for $8.29. I guess they forgot to put the chicken on the flatbread and they were okay with that. And the waiter was okay with me eating a piece of flatbread with some cheese and marinara for $8.29. Won't order that again. And don't order the supposedly glass and a half of wine thinking you are saving money. We measured and for $4 or $5 you are getting two extra sips of wine. Go for ordering 2 glasses. What a rip off.

I do love what I get at this place but I only really like about one thing on the menu. I don't really want to experiment much because it costs quite a bit. I'd honestly rather just go to Olive Garden. Love: - Pollo Rosa Maria - Calimari - Dessert Rosa - Sogno di Cioccolata "Chocolate Dream" - Steak Marsala - Italian salad with balsamic vinaigrette Ok: - Chicken Trio - Chicken Marsala - Shrimp Diavolo - Italian Soda Raspberry - Caesar Salad Ehh: - Pollo la Scala - Pollo Sorrento (didn't like the cheese) - Lobster Mac n Cheese - Mama Mandola's Sicilian Chicken Soup - Bryan Chicken - Tiramisu

We eat here at least once a month - usually on Sunday after church. My favorite is the Veal Piccata which no longer comes with capers - I ask for capers to be added. Salads are always fresh and the wine list is well rounded - we usually get the Estancia Pinot Noir ($10 off on Wednesdays). On Sunday, ask you Brad, he provides excellent service.

Had a date night here before my wife and I went to see a movie, and we both agreed that we made a wonderful choice. The waiter was very knowledgeable and remembered everything we threw at him without writing anything down. + he checked on us throughout and refilled our drinks before they got empty. Will go again.

Thanks you Carrabba's for your happy hour that includes Saturdays and $5 appetizers. The zuccini fries are also pretty great! What a fantastic date night for a couple on a budget. Cheers to that. Best time: 5-7 pm to take advantage of the happy hour.

Despite working right next door, I had never been to Carrabba's until last weekend. The boyfriend and I stopped in for a late dinner, and decided to sit at the counter by the kitchen, which was super fun! We got to watch the cooks and expeditors interact the whole time, and shortly after we sat down, one of the cooks gave us a sample of the lobster ravioli, which was amazing. We started with the shrimp scampi appetizer, and I had the seafood cannelloni while the boyfriend had filet marsala. I found the included salad to be pretty boring and didn't each much of it so as to save room for my entree, but when the expeditor removed the plate, he actually asked if there was anything wrong with it. All the food was very good, with just two disappointments -- the bread was underdone, still pale on the outside and squishy in the middle, and by the time I finished my meal, I was too full for dessert! Overall it was an excellent experience (service was great throughout), and I am eager to go back to redeem my receipt survey coupon for a free appetizer.

This place is really dimly lit Olive Garden. And I prefer Olive Garden. Never ending salad tops the herb oil & bread provided at carabbas. The spaghetti sauce watery and the meat balls were soft veal. The salad was just a salad. Nothing special. I would rather had saved my $20 and gone some place I actually liked or made my own spaghetti at home. The only reason why I give this place 3 stars was the service was good and the fried calamari was decent.

I think, as I get older, chain restaurants seriously lose their allure. I'm over it...done...finito. There is nothing appealing about going to eat somewhere that everyone can go to eat. I like variety and singularity...and Carrabba's is just NOT that. They're decent. You get fairly edible food at a pretty average chain price. Nothing here is exceptionally bad...just extrememly predictable. Not my cup o'tea. The staff, again, are pretty predictable and average. I wouldn't say they're only there to make tips, but they sure aren't there to make Carrabba's a different kind of restaurant. Overall, they're decent. If you like chains, you'll be content with this one. But it's an overly processed same ole same ole restaurant. If you're visiting from out of town, try somewhere else for your Italian. Don't fall into the black hole that is chain Italian in this town!

We visited this located while on vacation. The food was good. The service was okay. The kitchen is slow with orders. The restaurant was busy and they forgot to cook my order or server forgot to put it in. It took over 45 mins to get chicken wings and French fries. We had dirty dishes. But, the deal breaker was the big roach crawling on the wall next to us while we were eating. It's a shame because the food was good. Nasty restaurant with good food.

Been here several times since it first opened. 1st time, excellent. 2nd time very good. 3rd time good. See a pattern? The last time, Sunday, will be the last time. Greeter started to seat us, we told her we wanted to set in the bar area, she said ok, go ahead, that self seating. We were at a booth there, several waiters and waitresses passed... nothing happened. My wife said, go grab 2 menus, I said no, I want to see how long this takes. A couple of minutes later, our waitress identified herself, asked if we were there for dinner (it was 5pm), yes, she went to the front. Another greeter came and gave us silverware & menus, and asked next time we have the greeter put us in the booth? I told her the greeter said go ahead.... So, a bad start. Service got slower from there on. Took 7+ ? minutes to get 2 drinks from the bar, we were 15 feet from it. Appetizer was very good, food was pretty good, but slow between servings. We also had a gift Visa good at some restaurants. We just called it in to get it activated, $20 face value. I gave it to the waitress, said use this 1st, balance on my debit card. She came back - I was able to get $15 on the gift card. Are you kidding me, we literally called it in to activate it 5 minutes before dinner. See ya Carrabba's, I should have gone to Pete & Sams. ... Follow up, just called gift card issuer to see if in fact there was $5 still left, yes, there is, amazing. $5 is not the issue, how it was handled is.

Been a while since we've eaten here, sad to say, the server was pretty inexperienced and the restaurant was very slow on a Sunday evening. Our food came out slowly and was cool. The quality was ok, my fettucine was dry and I had specifically asked for mushrooms, guess he forgot. My Veal Marsala tasted good, not great, and wasn't very warm. We had waited a while, so we just ate and left. The server did say things had been slow overall lately, but I think he was pretty new, so I can't judge, but it was fairly empty, surprising for a Sunday dinner. We won't go back. Expensive pasta and entrees plus mediocre service. My wife wanted to box her pasta, she didn't eat a lot as it was cool, he spilled it as he tried to put it in the take-out box, she watched him, he started to pick it up to put it in the box off his tray, she frowned and he just handed her the box with about 1/3 of what was left in it. Our last visit a year or so ago was so different, something big changed, and not for the better!

The Collierville location at one time was excellent. We were told the wait was 25min, we were seated in 1hr and 5min. The salmon was very over cooked, sides were very small. My wife's chicken was okay, all portions very small, Normally I would have sent my food back but we had already been there over 1.5hrs, I was just ready to finish our meal and get out of there. Sorry folks, not sure what happened to the Collierville location.

Do not go. I've had canned food that tasted better. Service was quite abysmal - I blame severe lack of training. Food... Oh where do I start... All sauces were over-salted. I had "Italian Classics" - that's lasagna and chicken parmigiana. The lasagna was too cold, and the chicken was dried out and looked like it sat for about an hour under heat lamps. The side pasta dish (can't recall what it's called) was horrid, way too al dente, borderline undercooked. My parents' dishes were just marginally better. The teramisu is lacking the teramisu. You will do better if you get it frozen from your local Walmart.

Excellent service by Joshua. Personable but professional. The Lobster cheese and Mac was spot on. Calimari was perfect. Can't give five stats because the place isn't a five star establishment but service and food is right up there. Will be back in the future.

Because this restaurant is close to work and home, our family has been coming here for years. It had been several months since our last visit, and I have to say our experience Saturday night was very disappointing. We arrived about 5:30 pm and there were only a few tables taken. The table we were seated at had sticky stuff all over the top. Even though there were 4 employees just hanging out at the hostess desk, it took over 10 minutes for someone to assign a waiter to our table...and this is while the owner and the manager were just hanging out and watching the show. I asked that our table be wiped down, but the wine glass and quartino container that were brought to me shortly thereafter were filthy as well -- not just water spots, but lip marks on the edge of the glass. Ew. Our waitress was not in a good mood, but she was wonderful to us -- I wish I had gotten her name, but we realized that she and one other waitress was handling all the tables while the rest of the staff just hung out. Apparently there was an owner and manager change since our last visit, and I can tell you, we will not go back until they learn how to handle a restaurant and not treat it as a daycare! Oh, the food was good.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
