Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. I hate to be a bearer of not so good news, but this location was just not the kind of service I would have expected from Applebee's. I came here on a lunch break when it appeared to be barely busy and there were no hostess to seat me and co-workers. After someone finally came to the front and brought us to a table, it took over 5 minutes before anyone came to get drink orders. Once our orders were placed, it took over 40 minutes to receive the food and then only to tell us some of the main dishs we ordered was out of stock?? The crazy part is there appeared to be a manger receiving personal phone calls (near the bar) from someone he kept telling them "Stop calling me here"... and then slamming the phone down : / It felt like a bad script out of a movie. Applebee's is suppose to be fast, but this location not only had slow service but was not properly stocked for a average weekday.

The service was awful!!! I will never go back to this Applebees location. I ordered the rib plate... I wanted to substitute the fries for a healthier choice, so I ordered the broccoli. Wow, it wasn't until I got home that I realized they never gave me the Coleslaw. REALLY!!! I never even got a refill on the refillable Strawberry Lemonade.

Please see the below bullet points of the horrible customer service and staff at this Applebee's. 1. Called 1 day in advance to inform that we would be coming with a group of 8 - 10 on a Sunday. The person on the phone acted as if they placed a reservation or at least gave their team a heads up. 2. Arrived that Sunday and found out that whomever answered the phone was dishonest. 3. Our group was told we had to wait for a manager to come to speak with us before we could be seated. Please note the place was a graveyard "dead" only 2 other tables were there with the maximum of 4 clients. 4. We were seated and given a waiter that had a very low level of comprehension and customer service. I do not remember his name but he is Black, has a gotee with a bald head. If you get him walk out or just do not tip. 5. Needless to say we walked across the parking lot to Casa Mexicana and had a great time. Decided to walk out on Applebee's and will not be going to any location ever again. 6. I will also post this on facebook so the people that were with me can also give this horrid place a bad review. APPLEBEE'S IN MEMPHIS SHOULD HAVE STAYED CLOSED FOREVER. Preach

There is an interesting smell just inside the doors - I'm pretty sure it's just the waterfall behind the bar. This location has outdoor seating but we didn't try it as it had been raining all day. Inside, there are a few really inviting lounge-style seating areas but we weren't invited to sit in them with our daughter -that must be an extension of the bar. We were happy with our booth though. Unlike the Olive Branch location's, the table was clean and shiny with no carvings! The restroom was clean and modern to match the rest of the restaurant. They were hosting Paint Nite which I found fascinating though I was not involved. Service was great - staff was friendly. We even met the manager. This location is totally worth the drive from Olive Branch.

Nicely renovated, and the food is decent but nothing special. It is cheap, and so in that sense a good value. The problem? Badly understaffed and slow. We had a 15 minute wait for a table with the place maybe 25% full due to a lack of servers. The severs try, but they clearly have too many tables so they end up being inattentive. Take order, drop off drinks, drop off food, drop off check. That's all you will see of them. Dinner has always taken 1:15 or longer due to the slow service, one time almost 1:45 for three people with a less than full pace! The bar is probably fine, but if you want food, at least in any reasonable time frame, avoid until they double the number of servers.

Late night stop in had a long day but everything was going great until I got my drink which had something floating in it. So they corrected it quickly and I enjoyed the rest of my visit.

Undeniably Terrible! We waited and waited before our order was taken. The food was slow to come out as well. I regretfully spent $60 on subpar food and poor service. Our server (Ashley) made excuses, but that meant absolutely nothing because I was upset at this point. I ordered a pasta & chicken dish and the breadstick was brought out on a plate AFTER I had finished eating and boxed up my leftovers!!! What kind of service is that - POOR!!!! I will NOT return again!

First time reviewer. I usually don't write reviews. I work in service industry and always try to be patient with everyone. The service was so bad, I was forced to write something. We arrived right after open onMonday. When we entered the restaurant, we were told that credit machine was down and we would have to pay cash. We were looking forward to the food so we were fine with that. We had a party of 16 and know how stressful that can be so even said 1 check would be fine. We waited for 15 minutes for our order to be taken. Will give credit the waitress was very friendly to all children. For the next 30 minutes we waited and waited. We checked with staff 3 times to be told our drinks would be there shortly. After 45 minutes we decided to leave hungry and thirsty. Hope the owner decides to invest in better staff or will be another location closed in Memphis.

My wife and I went here because my employees had given me a gift card for Christmas. The first time we came, both of us ordered Sirloin Steak. We both took a bite and as it was so tough to chew with little flavor, neither of us finished it. The flat bread appetizers were good and the cocktails were well poured. The manager apologized and took the price of the steaks off the bill. Still having s balance on the card we went back a second time. The bartender was way over her head and had a hard time keeping up with the table servers, let alone the bar. The food was OK, but not great by any standard. We went back one last time earlier this week. The Assistant manager was bartending with another server and things went very smoothly. We both had the Oriental Chicken Salad and we enjoyed it, albeit, again good not great. I've eaten in many Applebee's over the years all over the country. I think this is a place that serves good drinks and mediocre food. WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T ORDER THE SIRLOIN STEAKS.

I went here with a group last night around 5pm. Our server was Orlando. He informed us they had only been open for 6 days. The place used to be Blu but apparently they had completely overhauled it. It looks great inside; you'd never known it was something else before. The walls are decorated with pictures from around the area. It was a lot of fun to look around. There were a lot of servers out and about hanging around but we honestly did not see our server very often at the beginning and when we did he was rushing around helping other tables. That would've been fine if we had not seen a number of other servers just hanging out in front of the kitchen. I got the Chicken and Shrimp Tequila Tango for $9.99 but a number of other options appealed to me as well. My companions all got the appetizer platter except for one who also got a meal. Both my meal and her meal came out far earlier than everyone else's food, which meant we basically stared at or picked at our food until everyone else finally got theirs as well. The food breakdown: - Chicken and Shrimp Tequila Tango - very good - Salsa and chips- generic salsa, a little watered down, not much taste. - Artichoke Dip- terrible, watered down, and tasteless. We informed management and they replaced it with a dessert and promised they would fix it for next time. - Hotwings- they were a nogo for me but everyone else ate them up so maybe it's just me. - Cheesecake Slider- delicious and bigger than expected though half of it was whipped cream. - Brownie Bite- pretty good as well Tidbit: They have half off appetizers everyday from 2-5pm and again at 9pm-5am Summary: The food was decent but they really need to get their service together. I may be returning to try some new stuff. Liked: - Chicken and Shrimp Tequila Tango - Cheesecake Slider - Brownie Bite Disliked: - Artichoke Dip - Salsa and Chips - Hotwings

The server was decent, but the food was not so great it lacked flavors. My best friends food was dry and not hot. Don't really care for the set-up of the restaurant.
