We went on Veterans Day, and all of the veterans got their free Bloomin' Onion. It was a nice gesture, and I appreciate their support. I was really in the mood for a good steak, and their Rib Eye was outstanding.

I have eaten here SOOO many times the food is great and so is the service the staff is friendly and nice. The only down side is the bath rooms ain't as clean as what I expect but they will do. I would recommend this restaurant to my family and friends.

Ok chains can be all over the place and here is no different. The wife & I grabbed a few seats at the bar and ordered up some happy hour Fosters & "hot wings" for an appetizer. The beers are always ice cold here. The hot level on the wing, actually is more like very mild, they were tasty and cooked nicely. The bartender told us when we were nearly done with them about a hot sauce dip for them they had that was not on the menu so ask for that if you like it hotter. Next we ordered the 12 oz sirloin wood fired cooked medium rare, 1 with loaded baked potato the other with steamed broccoli. The dinners also comes with a salad, and for a $1 up charge they had a blue cheese - pecan chop salad, which we ordered. Salad is definitely not this places claim to fame, we actually sent the first ones back because much of the greens looked a bit on the gray wilted side, the remake was beter, but pretty lame as a salad and definitely not worth any up charge ( they took the up charge off). The steaks we re near perfect, seasoned and cooked exactly right with just the right amount of seasoning and wood grill char on the outside. The sides were pretty basic, we ended up splitting them half for half - the potatoe could have done with a bit less salt on it before cooking, but maybe that's just me not being a big salt user. Overall the ice cold beer and very good steak make it a pretty good stop.

This Outback has received some bad reviews, their current YELP rating is 3. I use to say Outback was a sure bet, can't say that anymore. There was no motivated employees, and that's a management problem. The food was OK, but nothing to get excited about. My steak was overcooked and the fancy gluten free desert we ordered was missing the whipped cream and chocolate shavings; the waiter should have known better. Normally I avoid restaurants with less than a 4 rating, but we had a gift card that needed to be used. Chain restaurants are always a roll of the dice, and that other gift card we have from Outback will probably be re-gifted. note: In most cases, and in this one, I always tip around 20%. I don't leave notes and I don't talk to management. I never send food back, but I will request it taken off my bill.

Went here a few months back and at that time at least, it was clearly very poorly managed. The bartender was less than friendly or attentive. My scotch had a gnat in it and the place was clearly not kept clean. Didn't eat so cannot comment on the food. Usually when a place is poorly managed, all aspects suffer. Haven't returned and likely won't.

We have eaten in Outbacks in several states and they never disappoint. When we moved to Tennessee we were happy to find this location. It is about 17miles away but worth the drive. The service is amiable and the food quality is reliable. Their steaks are great and their hamburger is one of my favorites anywhere.

Worst Outback EVER! Went with a co worker who had wanted Steak. Common theme yes for out of town co workers. I never ask why they wait to eat Steak while traveling, but this guy has several kids, so to eat a steak in peace is well deserved. He tells me we get a free Bloomin Onion bc someone won some kind of car race. Neither he nor I know what that means, but he is on the list and they emailed him. Bonus, free app. Get there are 5:30 pm on a Monday, place pretty empty. We wait for the server for about 10 minutes...ok maybe change in shift, no worries, I want the 411 on some thing at work. When server arrives, my co worker states we get the free Bloomin app app because of the race. She goes on to state, "Don't say that too loud" What really?!?!? Whatever. he ordered Steak I ordered Tuna. I realize fish in a Steak place sometimes is not the wisest, but JUST had 2 nights of carnivorous feasts and just was not in the MEAT place. Free APP was pretty sad looking. You know the pretty commercial where it looks like so lovely, round and somewhat large, not so much when it came to the table. It looked like a wilted daisy. I love daisies, but this was just sad and greasy and unappetizing. Well free is free and a girl can close her eyes and hope that appearances are just that not layer deep, like an ONION! No No such thing. It was sad and limp and greasy. Well no worries, dinner was still to come and I really like my co worker so more chatting. We wait and we wait and we wait. Someone comes by to ask how we are, I say, hey can you check on our food. Again, the place has about 5 tables. Sure I can do that. A little bit later, our dinners come out. Server was clueless. My meal, I honestly was scared to eat. The salad was wilted, like when you buy salad in a bag and forget to eat in a week and the lettuce has lost it's luster and is wilty. The Tuna was pepper encrusted. Again, I was afraid to eat it, but decided to try it. NOT the best but definitely not Tokyo quality in any far off dream. Tuna looked like it started off fresh and just waited and waited and waited for it to be served on a MONDAY, I fully expected to be sick that night, which actually would have worked for me, no work the next day with a co working witness to what I ate. He had the steak which looked dry and over done. I did not say one thing, maybe he likes his steak over cooked. Me I like it rare rare rare. He asked for onions, They were not there. We asked 2 times. When they came, you could have put them in a condiment cup from McDonald's. We were both surprised, but by that time, too over the experience to say anything to the server. We shrugged and left. Will not come back. Who the heck is the manager or managers at this establishment?!?! Worst Outback EVER! Poor service, poor quality food and both for no reason. Sorry to be so negative, but seriously?!?! Awful awful awful for OUTBACK. What is wrong with this place that it keeps getting bad reviews and still is BAD.

My husband and I are new to the area and didn't want to roll the dice in a new place for valentines day. We thought outback was a safe bet with good food and no needed reservation. We did call ahead and that cut our wait time from an hour to just 15 minutes, that was nice. When we were seated the hostess lead us to a huge 6 seater table. I told her I was fine with it but with dozens standing waiting for tables do they want to use it on a bigger party? She was confused but then realized obviously its silly to sit 2 people at a 6 top on such a busy night. She thanked me and we sat at a nearby 2 top. After about 15 minutes a server Showed up, took our drink order and left. We waited 20 minutes for 2 drinks and finally got those and gave our order. A different server then arrived with our food a short time later, too short. Our steaks were literally RAW inside. I ordered medium well and my husband ordered medium. His steak was seriously not even hot and 99%raw my steak was maybe medium but nowhere near the well I was asking for. We asked for the Victoria filet, it looked like a butterflied flattened sirloin at best. The potatoes were fine and salads ok but not good. We waited for 10 minutes trying to find our one of two servers to get our steaks recooked. Finally STEPHANIE, a host or manager tonight but she said she serves too, she came by and took our steaks to get fixed...3 times!!! Each time they were no more fixed than before. finally we just decided to eat/ waist them. Stephanie apologized and offered to comp us a dessert. She was nice. I ordered another martini as my first was delicious, it took forever to order and get as our server was MIA practically all night, a third person dropped of my drink this time, which tasted 100% different than the first one that I loved. Oh well at this point were over it, I down the drink and don't enjoy it at all and we get the check, that charged us for the comped dessert. Luckily Stephanie came to the rescue again and fixed the check and rang us up. We had a 60$ bill, we both work in the service industry we generally tip 20-40% always, this time we tipped 5% that's right 3.00$ and that should sum up the waitresses service. to end it all we opened our "make it up to you to go dessert" and it's a burnt brownie crust. Just the crust. Ya that's great thanks for that. the only good thing about this place is cocktail #1 and STEPHANIE.

The food is usually okay and the place is almost always crowded. I like to sit at the bar and get a drink and an appetizer. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. May I recommend the cocconut shrimp appetizer. Avoid the 'blooming onion' as it is way too greasy.

This is my family's favorite place to eat. Food is usually good (depending on how busy they are) and long as you time things right you normally do not have to wait for a seat. Portion sizes have decreased over the past year though.

I would normally not review a chain restaurant, but due to a recent visit, I must speak out about this particular location. When I am stuck somewhere in some random city and want a decent steak in a quick fashion, Outback rivals Cracker Barrel in delivering a consistent dining experience. It's my comfort zone when I can't find anywhere else to go. This time, however, I was in Nashville and the significant other and I decided to pop in for a quick bite because it was getting late. I don't know if it had to do with the time of the visit (8:30 pm) or just lackadaisical staff, but this place was straight out of the movie Waiting. We initially wanted to just sit at the bar tables, but every empty table had not been bussed. The hostess went to get a busser, and we had another hostess ask us to sit in the dining room. While we were waiting for her to get our menus, a third host asked us if we had been helped. Finally arriving at our table, we were greeted by the Ginger version of Cheech and Chong all rolled into one server. He looked like the 1950's version of GI Joe with the red haired buzz cut all over his head and beard and oozed stoner mentality. Everything was awesome and ended up giving us band recommendations by the end of the night. He stopped to check on us no less than 5 times. We just wanna eat! The food was about what you'd expect from an Outback. While we left, there was evidently an employee smoking party right out the front door that made us feel like we were intruding on their private time. This place reeks of bad management and poor service.

I love this place. Our waiter Xavier was great. I love the privacy type setting and dim lighting. I also love their piña colada. My favorite entree is their outback special w/ the 10oz steak w/ the blue cheese crust. Try it! you will love it!!

I am giving this Outback Steakhouse 4 stars. When we first walked in the place was pretty empty and the hostess just told us to seat ourselves anywhere in the bar area. They weren't too friendly. That was the worst part of our experience. The rest of the experience was great. Josh was out waiter. He was excellent. Attentive to detail and charming. Food came out quickly. Orders were taken correctly. We even got a free drink. The app we ordered was the coconut shrimp. It might've been a little over cooked... The salads and steaks we ordered were prepared perfectly. The steaks came out as an amazing medium rare steak. Loved them. My mom ordered some croutons to go because she loves than and josh brought us a boatload. She was very greatful. Great experience and great food!!

This Outback Steakhouse was probably the best one I've ever been to. The food was as expected: tasty, hot, quick to your table. Our waitress, Lauren or LB as she asked us to call her, was what made our experience spectacular. She offered up an order of onion petals versus an entire blooming onion which was the perfect amount for my wife and I to share. She brought me extra blue cheese and checked on us frequently and she was busy to boot. Completely on the other side of town from where I live by it may be worth the trek to come see her again.

I've eaten all over the world and at different Outback Steakhouses. I've never had such a bad experience as I have at this Outback on Gallatin Pike in Madison, TN. Although we were seated immediately, our service was inexcusable and I was very disappointed and let down. Evan T took over ten minutes just to take our drink orders and over twenty for the two alcoholic drinks to arrive. I had to ask four times just to receive more bread that should be automatic. When our food finally arrived at the table, we were missing the fruit for our child's meal, one of the prime rib dinners was GRILLED well done instead of medium, the other prime rib was medium rare instead of medium and was missing rice, and the the outback special came well done instead of medium rare. We spoke to the manager and received the proper meals. She later took off only the appetizer and apologized. In addition, the bench seating was extremely uncomfortable and the ladies restroom was well overdue for a cleaning. Here's hoping they'll improve and soon in the near future. Until that time, THIS Outback Steakhouse has lost my business.

Decent service but horrible food. Probably the most disgusting meal I've ever had at an Outback. tuna wasn't even seared and came straight out the cooler. Steak tacos were raw, bleeding and nothing but fat. Cooks dont know the difference between rare and well done. The manager was somewhat apologetic but you could tell he didn't care. The kitchen staff is in desperate need of someone who knows what they are doing. Definitely not up to par with their corporate standard. Glad im moving soon because this is just another bad restaurant to add to the list here in Goodlettsville.

So, I walk into the Rivergate location of Outback at 7:45...order a drink from the bartender and ask for a menu to order food to-go. bartender says 'You have to go over there to order to-go(gestures toward pick up area)...i say ok i wait in "to-go" area for 15 minutes(as determined by phone)...no acknowledgement at all...i asked again for a to-go order...from the bartender i heard again, "just wait, be right there" after an additional 10 minutes i left... i asked to please speak to a manager at the host stand and got no acknowledgement... awful business priciples a 20 year veteran of bars and restaurants will now not return to your business

The wait was not to long for a Friday night around 7:30 about 20 minutes. The service was above and beyond. Our server January (no joke) was fabulous. She was very attentive and stayed on top of everything making sure we had our sauce and boxes. I always have to ask and it was like she read my mind. The food was great as well. I haven't had steak in a while because they usually mess it up but they did an perfect job. I will defiantly be back. ;)

My boyfriend and I had a date night here. We had a great experience. The food was good, but our server Niki J really made all the difference. She was so sweet and was working a huge area by herself and still spent time with each table. She sat with an older couple and helped explain items they had questions about. My water was never empty and we were both just very impressed! First time we have had a server this good!!

I should start by saying that empty tables on a Friday night should have been a clue. Now, to the honest review. The appetizers were good, as expected. The entree was did not live up to past experiences. I did not order from the "select your own size" side of the menu, rather I chose from the left side. These are supposed to be the tried and true steaks. Well, the petit filet was overly seasoned and dry. My husband's was the same. Our uncle had a cheaper cut of meat and it was better. The grilled shrimp that I got with my steak were disappointingly small. Salad size small. But it was a disappointingly small steak too. I would rather have a smaller diameter thicker steak, than a thin round dry steak like I was served. Now, with that being said, I did not complain to management, nor did we bring it to the server's attention. We had been traveling all day, and we were hungry. Sometimes you choose your battles, and this one wasn't worth the fight.

This used to be a staple in our home for takeout service. Over the past 6-8 months or so, we have ordered curbside takeout 4 times and have had 4 very poor experiences. Issues have ranged from food was burnt, food was cold, food took 30 minutes after estimated time or missing food from our order. In one experience I had ordered the Creamy Onion soup and instead of calling me to let me know they did not have this they gave me Clam Chowder. I am allergic to all seafood - including clams. I also ordered a sweet potato which they placed in my husband's to-go box which held shrimp. I am allergic to shrimp. I was unable to eat my soup or my potato. We waited a couple of months this time before we gave them another try. After waiting at the curb for over 25 minutes with NO ONE coming out to our car we left. This is the last time. Each time I have spoken to a manager about the service. Each time the manager was very nice and apologetic regarding the service. Each time they tired to entice us in every way to come back - free food, etc. We have never used the free food when we have come back because that's not what it's about. It's about getting good quality food and good service. I'm not sure if we will return to this location. At this time, I do not recommend this location for curbside takeaway.
