Healthy Meal suggestions for Outback Steakhouse

Went for lunch on the weekend. Everything was great except everything seemed to take forever. There were only a couple of people there but it took awhile. Food was great. In Lebanon my wife and I are finding that you have to stick to the chains because what passes for good in Lebanon is borderline awful.

In regards to the chain restaurant world, kudos to Outback for having a quality and reliable menu. I generally get the exact same thing every time I visit and it never fails my expectations. I know that sounds boring but that's how I typically feel about chains. I find the one or two gems on the menu and stick with it. I order the Victoria Filet, medium rare (still like a little mooing), broccoli, side of mushrooms and a Caesar salad (dressing on the side.) I seem to forget that there are no cucumbers on that salad but always request them leave them off anyway. I guess my memory is bad. This meal is awesome. This is what I would recommend to anyone going to any outback. Of course the blooming onion is awesome too. I never order it because I can't get the 15 mile run out of my head that will be required to burn that off. It is delicious and I will eat some of it if you twist my arm. Can't go wrong with the mayo sauce on the side either. This particular outback was very busy but the service was solid. I generally go to the outback on West End closer to town but order the same thing and it is always been a tasty treat! Pair it up with a glass of red wine at happy hour and you have a winner every time.

I really want to give it a higher rating, it wasn't that bad, but for $75 for two adults and two kids,I expect more. I have consistently seen the quality and quantity of food decline at outback over the past several years. Our waiter was good, but I was kind of shocked when we asked for steak sauce and he brought a small cup about the size of a shot glass. I'm paying $20 for a steak and you can't let me have a bottle of A-1. On a good note, the staff was all friendly, we were seated quickly, and the food arrived as we ordered it. The portions have gotten smaller and the chicken is not nearly as good as it used to be. No fault of this particular restaurant, that is just the way the chain has gone. This is also not one of the more modern updated Outbacks, but that plays to its charm. I like the theme of this restaurant better. My meal was good but it was also free. I'm glad I paid with gift cards from Christmas. This was probably my last visit to Outback, not because of this particular location, but because the whole chain has gone south.

WIfe and i received a coupon by signing at their website. They were promoting this new moon shine menu. I ordered a meal for 16.99, daughter 10.99 and wife ordered a meal for 12.99 each meal was suppose to come with a free 1/2 order of wings. The manager would not honor the coupon. What kind of business would pass up a order with almost $50 w/ tax not to honor a coupon. Well we walked out and will never return to this establishment.

Sad face all around. Server was definitely enthusiastic but everything came out wrong. Blackened salmon was not blackened, they took it back to kitchen and covered it in the spices and re-grilled it. Definitely far well over cooked after that. They brought out a piece of mahi on a plate for my husbands meal. None of the toppings (heart of mahi) or sides! Fish on a plate. What!?! Poor management. Server had barely enough to change to break 100$, and no one seemed to be able to break a 20 so I could at least tip the guy. One meal was comped, which was generous of joe the manager, but the kitchen and/or food runners need help. And get your staff proper change! Won't be going back for a while for sure. Such a shame I love outback.....

I've been to so many Outbacks and have never been disappointed until tonight. Staff was pleasent but very slow waited 1/2 hr for top shelf drinks, our order was not delivered as requested, ask for no spicy rub on steak it was ultra spicy didn't wanna send it back again... order medium got rare... and then the wait. I saw so many wait staff standing around while our waitress was running around. Never again!!!

I so badly want this to be a good restaurant! When they are on their game, it can be a great place to eat. Unfortunately it is way more miss than hit. Numerous times our food has been wrong, the meal excruciating slow to arrive and the staff way too uninterested in doing an average job. Over the years I have politely brought up issues I have with the management. They sadly seem to think that the offer of a coupon or discount is a substitute for training and quality controls. They don't understand I have no issue paying for dinner. I just want to get good food and service for my money.

Waitress said our food was coming right up 4 times. The 3rd time she said it, we asked her where it was bc she'd said it 3 times. She said it was in the window so it should be right here. Why of it was in the window didn't she bring it to us? It was cold and wrong when some girl brought it out. I told her what was wrong and needed, and she said tell your waitress! After 5 min the waitress finally came back. She brought me cold cheese to put on my cold sandwich! I asked if it could be heated up. So they nuked it in the microwave. She asked if everything was OK and we told her all our food was only luke warm. Her response was OK enjoy..... Then when she finally came back around she asked if everything was better? I'm not sure how luke warm food magically gets better sitting on the table? Then we ran out of drinks. To top of off she shorted us $10 change! Then we had to see the manager (Tonya) . She listened to what happened and said she'd be right back... Finally came back 10 minutes later and gives us a free booming onion card. That's it. She says that this is an unusual thing to have problems. I told her I don't believe that bc while I was waiting on her looked at Yelp and read the reviews. I'm only sorry we didn't look at the reviews before we stopped there. Never had a bad experience at any other outback before. Good luck if you decide to try eating here and count your change if you pay with cash!
