This is my favorite Mexican place in Lebanon. The bar has been set admittedly low, but El Molino delivers on all the basics and the service is reliable. The lunch specials are a good deal. The chicken breast they use in any of the chicken dishes (fajitas, salad, etc) is high quality and the marinade is flavorful. It's also one of the few places in Lebanon where you can (sort of) sit outside.

well, I had high hopes for this place, but alas, they were shot down. The restaurant was nothing exceptional. The food was not bad, but it was missing the undeniably delicious bang of good Mexican food. The rice and beans were tasty, and I may be back to try another dish, but the search for my go-to-mexican joint in my neck of the woods is still on!

Stopped here on Memorial weekend travels and it was great! Had the Steak and Cheese Burritos and the Burrito Verde...both were tasty! The pork in the Burrito Verde was perfect. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Lively music was playing. Excellent hot sauce selection! I would eat here regularly if I was in the area. Although I would skip the El Molino fries...not bad but not great.

Great food. The cooks are actually Misteco which is Indians. From Mexico, like mountains not city! Legit. Had the molcajete with pollo. Dad had shrimp. Walking distance from hotels and gas stations.

What a gem in disguise! Sat on the patio with some awesome margaritas, wonderful chips and salsa and a wonderful entree that I forget what it was called! Their menu is extensive, fresh and different. Service was wonderful and she was quite attentive to making sure our chips and drinks were not empty! The only negative was that the TV outside did not have TBS in order to watch baseball. But then again, I went for good company, drinks and food and all were perfect!

Fantastic service, great food and good beer. Came here on the way into Nashville, and again Yelp has not let us down. Highly recommended.

Well well well. Going into their third weekend in business customers were inventing new parking places so I decided to give El Molino a try. First, the chips and salsa were high quality but i did not get the feeling that they were homemade. The salsa seemed as if it were a prepackaged tomato mix that the added herbs in the kitchen to. Next, the menu was nice with more options than i expected including some lite and veggie options and interesting menu selections like acapulco salad, molcajete special and xango for dessert. I decided to try my regular which at this place is called Especial El Molino Fajitas. It was tasty and not too greasy. The chicken, steak and shrimp were prepared well but, the chorizo had disintegrated to nothing and the beef ribs were too crispy and over done. Now for the staff they were working good together and were great. we had 4 different workers come by and ask how we were. I learned from one of them that the group that has opened this store is the same group that owns 5 Camino Real locations in Murfreesboro so even though this store is new the people behind it do have experience. Personally I feel they did not do that great a job on my favorite food but my whole family had a good time and i will use this restaurant as a place to find new favorite dishes because we will return.

Finally a new Mexican place in town. Love their tortilla soup. My co workers and I love the salsa--very fresh tasting. Great service too. Frequent check ins to make sure you have what you need. Definite returning customer.

El Molinos I's my absolute favorite while I am here on business. I tried some other local Mexican restaurants but Molinios service, prices, and food is just unmatchable. I highly recommend giving El Molinos a try, over and over Again.

Food is decent but the margaritas and guacamole is freaking awesome. Not to mention how great Oscar is.

Stopped here for lunch after church and wife and I were hoping for some good Mexican food based off of the reviews we read. Once again, we were wrong. I don't blame them for what they serve, just it's hard to find good Mexican here after having it from California. Everything seems to always have this sad combination of ground beef and some kind of white sauce. The part that makes me rate them lower was because a couple came in and were seated behind us, and we could overhear the waiter talking about the girl of the couple in a derogatory manner. Theirs no reason to give a rude nick name to someone you have seated, and worse let someone hear it. The food was average for what you get around here, and you could effectively go to any Mexican restaurant and get the same order. The chips were, however, great and we ordered guacamole with it and I liked them more than any of the other places I have visited in the area.

good mexican food. not sure i'd drive out of my way to go back, but if i am in lebanon again and really craving mexican, i'd come by. i ordered two tacos with ground beef and an enchilada with a side of rice and beans. not sure i liked the rice and beans, so next time i'll stick with an enchilada, taco, and guacamole (the guacamole is super!).

Sorry. but this place is VERY VERY small......not so clean, and the food, well.....i sent mine BACK if that tells you anything. My husband said his was ok........but what i ordered was YUK. I had 2 bites, and couldn't eat any more, and they charged me HALF price instead of taking the meal off the bill......REALLY? Wont be back..........now i know why the other mexican place across the street was PACKED and had a waiting line, and this place didnt

So disappointed in this place. Ordered to go around 8:30 pm. Guy who took order was nice, but when food was picked up he had to fix order. Got food home. Everything was cold. Like straight out the fridge. At least the guacamole was good.....

Great if you like bland, greasy, and slow Mexican food. My chimichanga was sitting in a huge pool of grease. We waited about 20 mins in an almost empty restaurant. The wait staff is slow and also non attentive. Wouldn't waste my time or money here.

The food here is incredible! Great enchiladas! I was surprised to find such a hidden gem in Tennessee, but this place is worth getting off the interstate for and sitting down for a great meal. The chips and salsa were really good too. Friendly and fast service.

Awesome place! Every time we come here the food is delicious, the service is great. They are all very friendly! I've tried other Mexican restaurants in the area, and they do not compare to El Molino. Simple and small place, but worth a visit!

Who would have thought I would have the best Mexican food in my life in Lebanon, Tn? I wish I spoke Spanish as I have no idea what I just are, but my mouth sure liked it! One of the keys to this most excellent meal was asking for the spicy salsa. So much better than what they initially brought out. So many choices...so I had the waiter pick out a fajita dish that included steak, chicken and shrimp, along with onions, green peppers and another flat green vegetable...never saw it before but spicy like a pepper but shaped like a leaf (about six inches by 2-3 inches by about 1/4 inch thick...maiz?). The bill says "Molcajete"...is that Spanish for delicious? Cannot wait to come back and try something else!

This place is so delicious!!!! If you love hot homemade salsa, ask for it and you won't be disappointed. The milensa is my favorite, but the fajitas are amazing too! So happy I found authentic Mexican food here in TN!

Like other reviews, this used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant. There has clearly been a management change. the restaurant used to ways smell clean, the food was always good and the service was always good. The last few times I went, the clean smell was gone, the food was bland and the service sucked! There's one guy serving who is a good server, the rest are lost. We came in one night 20 minutes before close and were told they couldn't serve us since they were about to close. We told them we just wanted one round of drinks, they still refused! You can't make a drink in 20 minutes? Lost my business. I don't think it's the servers' faults. I always tipped well because they always were great, I think the new owner or manager has created an atmosphere for them to fail.

Good Mexican food but not amazing. Tasty guacamole. Salsa tasted like it was mixed with oregano instead of cilantro.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
