Every once in a while, when my wife is at work, and I have a craving for a good old-school waffle I head to the Waffle House. I know most foodies would never be caught here. This place is just what it has been for the last few decades. The Waffle House makes terrific waffles and great pancakes. If you venture off of that core food group you missed the reason for going here. After all it is not called "Salad House" or "Spaghetti House" or even "Burger House". Oh they do make great, not heart healthy, omelettes. Just get past the sticky menus.

In the half hour that I was there I witnessed: - a gloveless employee answer his phone, touch it with both hands, then return to garnish finished product. He seemed to really like to fondle pickles withe his fingers. - a gloved employee (who appeared to be the manager with an LOL sweatband) make hash browns, crack eggs, fry bacon, wash dishware, build sandwiches, grab sani-towels (God knows how long that quat had been there) and wring them out, and garnish product all on the same pair of gloves. While rinsing his gloves off with just water. And wiping them on his clothes. Sometimes a paper towel. - a gloved employee take a visibly broken egg off the top of the basket and open it into a bowl then cook it. - an improperly stored/dirty kitchen knife. I am quite positive that I missed some things. However, sanitation is clearly not a concern at this establishment. I am appalled at the flagrant disregard for the health and safety of this establishment's patrons.

Waffle House or IHOP? I'm a Waffle House girl. This one in particular is the best one around town. They are always busy and always turn customers over remarkably fast. The servers here always get my order right. My go to order; All Star Special w/ coffee 2 eggs over medium, crispy bacon, crispy hash browns, wheat toast w/ no additional butter and a waffle. Rude ass ignorant servers. Drove 14hrs, quick stop in for fuel to power is through last 6hrs. Came in, immediately seized us up and rushed us. Got our order mixed up then when we paid and left a generous tip, $7 on a $23 tab another server chased us down and said we needed to leave a cash tip or the server wouldn't get anything. We don't carry cash on us so she gave us a hard time. And that my friend is why I hadn't been to a Waffle House prior to tonight in 25yrs.

Usually me and my family love waffle house, but we walked into this one one papermill and there was human poop on the floor. We told the staff and they just looked at is and walked off, the lady behind the counter laughed. We stood there for about 2-3 min and no one came to clean it up they all went in the back and waited. Me and my family walked out no one came out or offered to do anything. We stood outside and watched a guy came out and sweep it up then went on like nothing happened. Definitely will never be back to this waffle house ever again.

Typical Waffle House -fast and cheap. Always eat there when in a hurry. Convenient location with easy on and off access to the highway. Open 24 hours.

All Waffle houses have the same food so this is based on service mostly. Our server smiled, never greeted us when we say down, and then when we asked for waters, she got even more silent. She was more interested in the server that came in for her shift playing a hand held video game than customers. When we checked out she never said "thank you" our come again. When my husband said "thank you" she didn't say a word. My husband said it again and she walked away. Quite personally I don't think we should have tipped yet I know they live on tips. I won't go to that under again.

Kind of like I Hop. It is what it is. Good breakfast for late night. You can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear.

There's just nothing like inexpensive breakfast food at 1 oclock in the morning while you're in the middle of tennessee. I'm not expert on the aforementioned topic, but when the occasion arose, I took it. Staff was friendly and food was oh so deliciously bad for you. They need to bring Waffle House up north.

Service is hit or miss. Food is ok. Good place to go that is open 24/7.

I go to this Waffle House every couple of months. It does what Waffle House does. Its a good one if you like Waffle House. I go for fast service, not chatter and its always fast and good.
