Nice clean place. The decor made it look like a more upscale restaurant but it is your typical bar and grill food. Good thing it has going is it does not have a overly extensive menu but they offer variety.

Great bartender! We decided to have dinner here on our stay in Knoxville after reading several Yelp reviews. The restaurant was packed so we decided to eat at the bar. Our bartender, Brittany, was the greatest. I was amazed at her multi-tasking skills. She kept up with drinks for the entire restaurant and food and drinks for everyone at the bar. When we arrived the bar started getting busy. There were at least three parties besides ours at the bar ordering food. We placed our order and she didn't right anything down. I have to admit that I was thinking no way is she getting this. We ordered drinks and appetizer and two entrees. We received our appetizer and drinks within five minutes. The spicy shrimp was great with many shrimp on crispy wontons. As soon as we finished our appetizer, our entrees came out. I ordered the meatloaf stack with mashed potatoes. This was delicious and the perfect comfort food for a rainy yucky night. Not only did Brittany get everything right, watching her was amazing. She was handling multiple drink orders at once. I saw her make two different drinks at one time, one with her left hand and one with her right. It was like something out of a movie. I will definitely come back for the food and it she is working I will be sitting at the bar.

We went last night with another couple. The service was good and the atmosphere was okay, although only half my food was edible. I ordered two appetizers: fried pickles and the filet bites. The pickles were fantastic, as usual. They could never get the filet bites right, though. They looked very unappetizing (*not* steak color, not grilled looking, oily, fatty, etc.) and tasted even worse. One of my dining mates who knows what this dish used to be like at Parkside tried them and said the same thing. They were chewy, rubbery and bland. The cut of meat was terrible - it wasn't the nice, lean, tender steak tips they used to serve. I sent them back, and even the waitress said they looked bad. The second try was no better. They came out in less than five minutes and looked like they had been in the fryer, and not in a good way. I couldn't eat them. They said they would comp them, which was admirable, although it took them two tries to get my bill right. Nobody in our party seemed too excited about their food. It's a shame - this used to be a good place. P.S. I inquired about a cucumber martini they had listed on the special board at the entrance. It was 7:00 p.m. on a Saturday, and the bartender informed our waitress that they were out of the main ingredient. Seems like they would have taken it off special.

When we return, everything seems to be consistent. Good food, good service. Love the bread, enjoy the seating and scenery, and the food is sooooo much better overall than its sister/brother Lakeside eatery. Still have yet to visit the Riverside Grill. This will continue to be one of my favorite places in Knox, yet I crave Cali-Mex food and fusion that is over the top.

It was a dark and stormy night and Parkside Grill looked inviting. We were tired of traveling ànd the Yelp reviews were good. We were delighted to find a cozy stonewalled inn with flames flickering in the fireplaces and a well-trained staff eager to please us. The service was prompt. The food excellent. The prices were reasonable. We shared a crisp, fresh house salad that was topped with mozzerella cheese and a generous portion of chopped crunchy bacon. The chunky tomato dill soup was hot and delicious and the fish tacos were fresh, perfectly seasoned, and accompanied by imaginative additives. The Ahi tuna enthusiast in the family pronounced the ahi tuna stack to be awesome and we concluded the meal with a delicious two layer key lime pie. We will be back on our next trip through K-ville.

I love locally owned restaurants! I think it's funny how many people say that, but still eat at the chains that serve frozen food and the owners live in some other state. This place has very good food, but more importantly they appreciate you being there, try it out.

We were seated fairly quickly, but then waited a minimum of five minutes with no acknowledgement from the other staff. The restaurant was at least 3/4 empty. We left and walked next door to the very busy Outback where we were seated and served within 5 minutes. Quite a difference.

My family and I tried this place today for the first time. I must say that the food was really good. We ordered the kids grilled cheese which was toasted perfectly and no real extra butter on it. The sirloin for myself and the burger for my husband. My husband said it wasn't the best burger ever but was very tasty. My sirloin I asked medium, it came rare. No biggy but if I wasn't starving I would have sent it back. Mashed potatoes were good but the cooked broccoli was really good. All in all we had a wonderful time. Our server was attentive but never smiled. Our drinks were always full and our plates were taken away in a timely manner. We will be going back.

  • Rachel C.

It was good, but not great. Service was good, but food was more cream sauce rather than seasoning. Prices are reasonable. One loss... No merlot on the wine list.

  • Brent A.

For the price this place is 5 stars. I went with fish tacos. They were great. The slaw was perfect dressing for the taco. The corn salad (corn and black beans) was excellent. I will go back again before the week is over.

I can't complain and I can't say go here. It just leaves me feeling cold. Not bad and not great. I can't tell you not to go and I can't recommend it. Sorry to be so wishy washy, but that is the kind of place it is to me.

Passing through this town and asked for a rec for dinner at hotel and without hesitation this came highly recommended. So glad to have the experience, this is really about 4.5 stars--my only complaint was where we ended up seated--by the crazy busy entrance/exit to kitchen and I hate sitting near the kitchen. Other than that, had one of my all time fave salads -- and I'm a salad girl -- the Waldorf salad was damn near to die for--had to restrain myself from licking the plate clean and hubs had the chicken pot pie--he had the same reaction --is it too tacky to lick your plate? We are passing through K'ville again this week--may just have to swing by for another of each!

One of my regular haunts for happy hour. Excellent bar and lounge area. Early happy hour includes wine, beer, cocktails and apps. Rather quiet until around 4 PM, but a great place to chill or work. Great bartenders!

Not sure if Parkside Grill is a chain but it certainly feels and looks like one. I came on a Monday evening and was seated right away. Since I was in the area on business, and alone, I took a seat in a nondescript section. Service was quick and friendly and my drink and side salad arrived in about two minutes. Very good side salad with crumbled bacon! I had a cheeseburger- and apparently Monday's are burger night - and I wasn't disappointed. It was cooked to my direction and served on a toasted bun. Tasty with a side of fries. All in all Parkside Grill is an ok place. Nothing that stands out but certainly nothing to complain about.

Stopped here while in town for work. The patio is great on a sunny day, but there is a lot of traffic noise. I had the strawberry salad which was delicious. I also really enjoyed the bread they offer, sort of a ciabatta bread which was perfect with my wine. Recommend for a nice meal in a relaxed atmosphere.

I walked in and sat at the bar and they were busy. I asked the lady next to me if I could look at her menu. I know if you are hungry order everything all at once (drink and food) it saves on time. When the bartender came my way I was ready. She took my order and ran off. My beer appeared a couple of seconds later. She was friendly and smiled. I order chicken quesadilla's. It was a good size. There was to much cheese. It was oozing out the side as I tried to eat it. I will say though the sauce that came with it was awesome. It has chipotle peppers to give it a smokey flavor. That is what kept me eating, I wanted to keep dipping into this sauce. When the restaurant started to die down the staff was able to talk to many of the guest and breath a little. I would go back just to order that sauce with something else. They said it was their salsa. It was a little more pureed than I am use to for a salsa but who cares it was good!

One of our favorite evening spots. Enjoy some amazing drink specials every night until close on their patio. Spinach Artichoke dip is a must.

I have not had a bad meal here yet. The menu has a wide range of flavorful selections and the price is right. A very nice atmosphere for business or for families.

Order anything and you can't go wrong. I've eaten here twice, once with my fiance, and once with my fiance and his three kids. Each time, with each dish, everyone has been so HAPPY. The service is consistently excellent and attentive. The decor is modern and comfortable. Try the Sirloin Steak and you won't be sorry. Tasty and tender, like a good piece of meat should be. Salads are plentiful and full of freshness. The Seared Tuna on Tortilla chips is reeeallly delicious. And they give you a LOT of tuna! Try to get a seat near the fireplace if you can.

I work for a company that uses Parkside Grill on a daily basis. Not one day goes by that they actually make an order correctly for my clients. Parkside has an awesome menu, but they just fall short on their 1. horrid customer service... ie leaving you on hold to place to go orders, hanging up on customers who call over for questions/to go order placing.. 2. they are constantly making mistakes on orders... ie.. i ordered the spicy pasta, which costs 12.99 for shrimp, chicken, and veggies in a sherry sauce.. they completely left out the chicken!!!!! 3. by the time the to go orders for my clients arrive they are cold, haphazardly thrown in a box, and soggy. I use to recommend tons of people there, but no longer!

  • Rob B.

Ate here for lunch and went with the grouper po boy. The fish was cooked very nice, it was still moist and flaky. The fries and slaw were good too. And the service was top notch. I will definitely come back for dinner when I'm in Knoxville next!

Excellent menu, good prices, great service and a cool patio. The chicken strawberry salad is excellent as are the burgers, pasta and steaks. Def one of the best deals n town!

Found this place rolling through town. Very good food and at a decent price. The only complaint that I have is I wanted my kabobs to be cooked medium-well and they were very rare. Since it was very late, I just dealt with it. Everything else was very well prepared.

We have been going here for over 5 years. We live in GA and visit family up north often. We always schedule our trip to have lunch or dinner both ways at Parkside Even our one year old loves it here. We love it here so much that when we got married we recommended it to all our guests driving to stop here. They all loved it to. We have never had bad device or food here in the 20 plus trips.

We were given a recommendation to eat here as we were traveling thru Knoxville- it was perfect for our needs- locally owned among a sea of chain restaurants, great service, reasonably priced, and good food.

One of my favorite places in Knoxville. Nice place, but not too fancy. Service is consistently pleasant and efficient. Everything here is so good, I actually have a hard time deciding what to get. I lean toward the spicy shrimp pasta (just the right amount of heat). But, the kickin' chicken is also delicious (it has bacon gravy...yum). The crab cakes are also a favorite of mine. The meatloaf stack is very good, but the flavor is different from your standard meatloaf. My son devoured it. I'm always too full to try a dessert, maybe next time. They have a Sunday brunch that's also pretty good, just not quite as good as off the menu.

First time in Tennessee and decided to have dinner here on a Thursday night. I ordered the cilantro lime chicken with broccoli and a baked potato. It was decent, nothing special. Service was just okay. Not sure if I'll be back though if I ever visit again...

This place caught my attention with their $3 well drinks and half price appetizer during happy hours. The food was a bit disappointing. It is not the greatest around the Knox area. The Spicy Shrimp was drown in sauce and the size of shrimp is way too small. Fried Calamari was way too oily. I guess cheap food don't come with quality.

  • Wanda B.

    (5)
  • Clay W.

Strengths: Great menu. Nice decor on the inside. TV and a bar available. Bread was delicious. Calamari crispy and tasty. The steaks were delicious. Opportunities: There was an error on our order. Chili was fair. Summary: Great place to grab a bite whether you are with a group or a date.

  • David J.

Buffet is nasty - the staff could care less about the quality. Chocolate fountain was cold, pancakes dry and hard, cake stale, pasta mush. Bacon and sausage were fine. Not as much selection as their other restaurant, Riverside Tavern, which is also slightly better quality.

Sat at the bar for dinner. Both bartenders were great. Our first time so appreciated their recommendation. Had the spicy shrimp app. Wondetful. Aldo had the black n blue steak salad. Huge. Hubby had the steak shish kabobs. Perfect. A+ service a great food Doesn't get any better. :)
