Panda House deserves every one of the 5 stars I'm giving it. As a vegetarian, it's not been easy to find Tofu done right. Either it's too soft or too dry. But here they know what they're doing. I order the "Tofu w/ Chinese Vegetable" and I know every time the Tofu will be slightly crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside, and deliciously marinated in their tasty sauce. The vegetables always taste fresh too. And it's no fluke. I've literally ordered from here dozens of times and I'm 100% guaranteed to have a delicious meal. I sometimes also get the "Vegetable Lo Mein" which is equally as good. The food is never greasy. The sauce is never watery and always flavorful. The staff is always nice and I can tell they work hard. This is by far my favorite spot for Asian take-out in West Knox.

I personally really liked their food and thought the crab rangoon were delicious! I had never seen a Chinese place with tofu before so I got REALLY excited when I saw it on their menu. I asked if they could do a sesame tofu and they said it was no problem. My hubby on the other hand, got regular sesame chicken and is convinced the Chinese food is what upset his stomach =/. The only thing I didn't like is the fact that they aren't combination meals that you usually get from Chinese takeout; so no egg roll or rice come with it and we ordered rice separately. I would order here again but it might take some convincing of my husband to consider it.

After recently moving to the area, we searched all over West Knoxville for a great Chinese takeout. We have ordered from this restaurant many times and the food has always been top notch. We made the mistake of ordering somewhere else because they delivered.. Big mistake! We will be staying here! This is American Chineese take out. And it's good.

3.5 is more accurate for this restaurant. They do have tables and a nice dining area, but they mostly handle take out orders. The place is clean, the people are quiet but nice, and often will offer a free item of some sort for orders over certain amounts. I really like the pork lo mein- it has been consistent and juicy the last four times I have had it. The general tso chicken has changed over the last 2 years. They tend to overcook it a little now, but the sauce is good. The fried rice could use more veggies and egg, but I like that it doesnt appear to be soaked by oil as I have encountered elsewhere. It is light and fluffy. Other menu items I would recommend are the crab rangoon (better than most I have tried), the pot stickers are very good, and the shrimp with broccoli has a great flavor with big juicy shrimp. I recommend to anyone. Also, they have a health score of 94.

I decided to eat here today. Oh my, what a mistake. I got the orange chicken lunch combination. It was based on a nondescript sugar sauce with orange peels shoved in smothering really chewy fried chicken bits. The rice tasted like it was 2 days old and had that texture too. Ultimately I threw the food away after a few bites which really sucked because I took it in to work and now ill go hungry. The lady at the register didnt even tell me my total and just grabbed the money out of my hand. She managed to say nothing until my food was ready when she grunted something like 'ready'. So in summary the food was so bad I threw it away and the service was terrible. Oh yah, forget about eating inside this place, its always 90 degrees and humid, we actually left one time previously because of that. I would give this place one star if I wasnt afraid of Yelp auto rejecting the review (why even have the option Yelp?!)

I am always hesitant to try new Asian restaurants in town with there being so few in town I like. I decided to give this place a try because I was craving Chinese. I was pleasantly surprised. So was my 11 year old. She had the beef and broccoli and I had general tsos chicken. Both were quite good. Better than most in town. The prices were reasonable. The only thing I was not happy with was our stale fortune cookies. I don't understand why it is impossible to get fresh ones. Definitely will get take out from here again.

I get take out from here quite often as it's right around the corner from my house and I am a sucker for Chinese food. GOOD Chinese food is HARD to come by but this place has it!! They use big, juicy shrimp in their shrimp dishes and lean beef in their beef dishes. The Crab Rangoon is the best I have ever had and a huge plus is, it does not have onions in it!!! At most places it is so riddled with onions that you just cannot taste anything else. The fried rice could use a little more egg but the fact that it's not greasy at all makes up for it. All the dishes are sauced appropriately and labeled appropriately on the menu...meaning if it has a hot pepper next to it...IT IS HOT!!!! This is definitely a great place to try if you are looking for some good Chinese food...so far they are yet to disappoint!!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
