When over half the people come for orange chicken, they need to have more than one pot of it ready to go at any given time.

Orange chicken was very good but I was given a minuscule amount. Like 6 bite size pieces. Chow mein was DRY like cardboard. Staff friendly enough and I'll give PE another try but disappointed with the chow mein and portion size.

First time here. Food was decent. Very clean and moderate. I will come back To Eat here. Scrimp was good.

Waited in the drive through for 20 minutes. Then when we placed our order they were out of the Angus beef and said that we'd have to wait another 15 min. So we settled for something else. After getting home we found the portions meager and the crab Rangoon's had soaked up too much oil. I normally LOVE Panda Express everywhere else that we have tried it. We won't be back to this one though.

I have notice the past few times that I have been going there their service and food is just mediocre. I order a certain item that they are out of so I settle for something else which is okay. So when I get back to my work to eat my lunch I pretty much pay $10 for a plate of rice their portions are so small it is unbelievable I was so upset, and the orange chicken that I got was so hard I couldn't even stick my work through it. Unacceptable.

I love Panda Express. This one was great when they first opened but has gone downhill ever since. I keep giving them chance after chance and they keep failing on me. They are either out of certain items when I go or the quality is horrible as the food has been sitting for awhile. I hope they can turn their quality around but until then I won't be going back.

I was very happy to see this place open up here. I am a fan to say the least. There is nothing authentic about it but tasty none the less. Especially late on a Saturday night.

I eas very disappointed in the food. I normallt enjoy Panda Express. The chicken was tough and too spicy for Orange Chicken. The Diet Pepsi mix was off as well. Overall a bad experience. I'm not planning to return to this Panda Express. Not sure wht my previous review disappeared.

I have been to multiple panda express locations throughout the country, most notably in California where every location makes the food just right. This location does not know how to cook the food. The meats have had a weird texture on multiple occasions, I am not sure if they are cooking it too fast or too long or what but it is definitely off. The flavor is not right either. My favorite thing is the sweet fire chicken and I have had it at this location at least 5 times now and one time it was so bad I didn't even eat it (which is crazy because I LOVE sweet fire chicken). It breaks my heart that they are so bad at making the dishes taste right because I could get over their other flaws but bad flavoring is not excusable. Another big factor is the freshness of the food. This place needs to seriously work on managing how much food they make. All 4 entrees myself and my friend got were old on my first visit. This turned out to be the case at each of my follow up trips as well. I saw them put out fresh orange chicken and then dump a giant mound of super old chicken on top and half way mix it in when it was clear it should have been thrown away (I understand dumping a little bit of old dish on top but this stuff was crusty because they are making batches big enough for a busy California location). They simply need to make less food more often. I am changing my rating from 3 stars to 2 stars because I originally gave 3 stars assuming I had just got unlucky with the not fresh food. Bottom line, they need to get someone in there to train the staff on how to make the dishes taste right and how to manage the volume of food cooked. Old dishes that don't taste right is, obviously, a deal breaker. If you are in the area I can't even advise you try it out unless you are a die hard panda express fan and even then, try it knowing you might be throwing it away and going elsewhere. I certainly will not go out of my way for this ever again which is sad because if it was like other locations I would (and often).

Food here was not fresh. Mushroom chicken was extremely bland. Shanghai beef, however, was very good and flavorful. Issue was that a ton of food was being cooked in big batches and left out for a long time with no customers to turn it over. Noodles are good and rice was mediocre. I will revisit at a busier hour in hopes of getting fresher food. I was however happy with my service. The workers were nice and polite. That's always a plus.

I love Panda Express. I am always thrilled when I see one during our travels! I ordered through the drive thru so I can't speak for their dine in service, but the drive thru service was prompt and the food was fresh and hot. I ordered a panda bowl during this particular visit and it was nothing short of delicious. I had a very good experience at this location.

Not for me. No flavor. No spice. The crab rangoon was absolutely terrible (and burnt). Sorry, I will not be back.

No check-in for me as I do not plan on going back anytime soon. Food was decent for the price and for it being fast food. Teriyaki chicken was actually full of flavor and the Beijing Beef was crunchy. Fried rice was quite bland, but that may be because other flavors masked it. A friend who goes there more often than I do tells me that the Shanghai Angus Steak isn't bad either, but I haven't personally tried it so I can't give an honest opinion. Overall, I'd recommend having at least one vegetable dish if you're getting 2 entrees or more. Poor service, server didn't actually give me a full scoop of rice until I asked for it. The guy working the register also kept me waiting for a while because he had to get his manager to unlock something (?) However, I did like the fact that the restaurant was quite clean and the whole store was quite well-lit. It gets a bit hectic during the lunch/dinner rush, so going on an off hour would probably make for a better experience. 3 stars (more like 2.5 but Yelp doesn't support halves) because the general atmosphere of the restaurant made up for the poor quality of the food. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you're craving quick Americanized Chinese food.

I went between 1 and 2 stars for this review and ultimately settled on 1/5 stars. I had been looking forward to going to Panda Express for a while! There are not many chinese food places in the area. I heard so many good things about this place but also a few bad things so I went to decide for myself. There prices are good considering the amount of food that you get and they have indoor and outdoor seating available which is nice. This particular Panda Express is actually very small so you may end up having to get your food to go due to the lack of seating. I order lo mein, beef and broccoli, orange chicken, and an egg roll. I ended up getting a drink and my total was under $10, which to me is great! However, my egg roll was still frozen in the middle, all of my food was cold, and the lo mein was actually a little greasy. However even though the food was cold the orange chicken was still pretty good. I have been here twice because I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt but both times I went I had similar experience with the low seating and cold food. The staff is nice though and are apologetic when you tell them your egg roll is frozen still and that your food is cold. I do not see myself going there again unless I was really hungry and this was the last option I had.

I was kind of going back and forth between 2-3 stars for this one but decided that since I think they are on the upswing I'll go with 3. To start - i love panda express. I have been to different ones all over the country from los angeles to washington DC to florida. I was so excited when I heard they were opening a panda express here in knoxville I actually wrote to the company to ask when the opening date was and marked it on my calendar! A little crazy but there is just something about their orange chicken it's like crack. Anyway, I went about a week after it opened and it didn't taste that good but i came down with the flu the next day so who knows. I went a couple of more times in January and was disappointed - it wasn't that good. I had a bad experience going through the drive through where it took over 25 mins and when I got to the window the lady announced they had "just" run out of one the dishes i ordered, would I like some other dish instead, no apology at all. I was pretty turned off by that place as I have never had a bad or disappointing experience at any other panda express ever! That is one of the things I liked about it was its consistency and this location was lacking that. I decided to try it again and was pleasantly surprised, they seem to have worked out the kinks and its back to the standard i had at other locations. The last two visits were good so I am hopeful that it will remain that way. It's still fast food so don't expect authentic chinese food or a romantic date night but it is tasty and easy. I seem to be getting better service through the dine-in/restaurant than the drive -thru, since none of the other locations I have gone to had a drive through I am not sure if that is the small sample size or a real thing but for now I'm going to stick to going inside even if its to-go.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
