Great burger, fries, and shake. They have sweet potato fries in addition to regular fries, and the ice cream is 100% real ice cream. It is all so good. Better than five guys.

New ownership for the last year and it makes a world of difference. The burger is amazing. Delicious flavor, just the right toppings - including onion ring, mushrooms, and others at no extra charge. Large portion and served up nicely on a tray - no basket, no paper bag to deal with. Fries are good but the sweet potato fries steal the show. My kids even get a shake with their meal. The only reason for 4 starts and not 5? It's a little pricey, but they charge for great quality so I can live with it. Unfortunately not every week.

Excellent burger joint. We ate at several regional burger restaurants on this road trip and this was our favorite. Comparable to Five Guys which is something we eat regularly. I liked the wheat bun and blue cheese. More options for bread and cheese than 5 guys. Patties are thicker than five guys of Shake shack. Bacon was thick cut. Fries again similar to five guys. Large fed 4 easily. We all thought it was better than Shake Shack for burgers and fries. Shake Shack's milkshakes were a lot better although these are good.

The black bean burger is $1 more than a regular burger! How are beans more expensive than meat? The black bean burgers are pre-made frozen patties and if you want a slice of cheese it's an additional .70 - highway robbery.

Great service. Delicious milkshakes. Phenomenal fries! I prefer turkey burgers, which is something Five Guys doesn't have, but Mooyah's does! This is a great casual burger place.

Staff is very rude and to top it off I get butted after I ate at you're establishment,

Your Average Decent Burger around town. Similar to a Five Guys, or Cook Out Burger. PROPS TO MOOYAH - for your CUBED Pellet ICE!! I also Loved the idea that I basically created my own order. The paper first asks your name. Eventually asking you to color in the dot if you want things like ketchup, mayo, sauteed onions, jalapeno's, etc on your burger. $!2 gets you a Mooyah Burger, Drink, and Regular Fry. If you are in the area and hungry it's pretty good. No alcohol here peeps, so enjoy the pellet ice with a nice cold Sprite.

Mooyah's is essentially Five Guys with turkey burgers, veggie burgers, and lettuce wraps as additional options. It's a burger place with lots of topping and sauce options and a bag of way too many greasy fries for one person. This place even has avocado. I'm sure there are things it does better than Five Guys, but it's still second best. I guess if you want Five Guys and you're in between Farrgut and Bearden this place is a solid option. I actually really enjoyed my turkey burger, although the fries are not that great. But if you want Five Guys, just go to Five Guys.

As a long time patron of FG a friend suggested I try out Mooyah Burgers. From the moment I put that first bite in my mouth I changed burger venues. The burgers come in different sizes and there are a variety of topping options for the burger. The milkshakes are thick and delicious. The service is great. It's slow at times but they're making a burger...with meat. I'd rather the burger be cooked to the proper temperature than for me to get sick because I'm confusing the meat used at MB with the "meat" at McDonalds or Wendys. If you get a large number of toppings on your burger (especially if you order a double like I often do) then prepare to use quite a few napkins. The burgers are sloppy but delicious. The fries are very similar to Five Guys so a regular order is good enough for two people. Do NOT order a large order of fries if you're eating solo. FG/MB fries do not travel well on account of the grease. If you don't have a healthy appetite you'll simply be wasting food. I've eaten their hotdogs as well. They're not bad but considering hot dogs are made from the leftover bits if you're expecting it to be a 5 star meal well you're obviously looking in the wrong place. Since switching to Mooyahs I've tried FG a time or two and, while the burgers at FG do not disappoint I still prefer Mooyahs over them. Great place to take your kids for lunch or dinner. They have a blackboard your kids can write on (or you can write on if you're feeling froggy.) The business is located several blocks down from West Town Mall across from the shopping center with Chilis and Tomato Head.

First off, this place models itself very closely to the Five Guys business model. So, if you like Five Guys, chances are you'll like this place. Although, I must say I prefer Mooyah for two primary reasons: price and variety. You can get a great burger here with less wallet damage, and have a few more options to choose from. Fries are the exact same as Five Guys, if not a bit crispier (at least when compared to the FG on Northshore).

We have been here three times now and the burgers are great! The fries aren't bad either. The buns, made onsite, are a tad sweet under normal circumstances but with this delicious, made-in-front-of-you-after-you-order hamburger, it works! We actually had a Sweet Deal deal that brought us in the first time, the burgers will keep us coming back. The only reason for three stars rather than five is first and foremost for the lack of menu choices. There are options galore for your burger but if you go with someone who isn't 'burger-friendly' they are REALLY limited for choices. Also, each time we have been the staff have been very hard working (nobody is standing around) but it has been mid-afternoon each time so pretty slow and I figure that should make a 'smile' not that big or hard a request to fill. If you like burgers and you haven't tried Mooyah yet, do so. It's worth it.

Love the customer service here. Everyone was very friendly and personable. The burgers were juicy and supreme. Fries were hand cut and off the chain!! Love this place and look forward to coming back!

If you LOVE a good, for real burger give this a try. They have any and all toppings you may want. I ordered a single on white bread with Swiss cheese, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, Mao, ketchup, let us and tomato and fries. The fries look and taste real, which I love, ketchup bottles are on the table. To eat the burger you will need about a dozen napkins. I loved it and have returned a few times.

My wife and I go to this restaurant often, and they've never given me a reason complain. It wasn't until my last visit, however, that they made me want to write a review. My wife and I ordered our normal hamburgers, and hers was a little too pink in the middle. I approached the manager about this, and he apologized profusely, and had the staff make us a new one. We had a new burger, perfectly cooked, in only about a minute. He checked on us through the rest of our meal, always making sure that everything else was fine. Thanks for always giving us a good meal, and thank you so much for taking care of us the one time something went wrong!

The best turkey burger I have eaten. So much better than Five Guys! You have choices here not just a burger.

It is above average and better than McDonald's. I cook a better hamburger by myself at home. The fries were overcooked. The burger was medium well and they don't bother to ask you how you would like it cooked. I almost gave it three stars. I probably will not go back. And it cost me 10 bucks for a hamburger bacon and fries I think you should get more or it should cost less.

Fiancé and I came here for burgers. Best veggie burger in the area. Got it with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions. Pickles, and the mooyah sauce! Yum yum so fn good

Yesterday was my first and last time here. I went for lunch, and there was only one person ahead of me in line. I ordered a burger and a kids' meal. After many other people and myself waited more than 30 minutes for our food, I finally rounded up someone and politely told them I either needed my money back or my food. Without any attempt to prepare my order (obviously it had been lost, although a lady ahead of me had waited for at least 45 minutes and eventually got her food) the manager simply handed me my money back, which I actually think was best at that point even though I was extremely hungry when I came in. What a colossal waste of time! It was actually funny to me, though, as I think they were just glad to have one less hungry person waiting for food. I'll never go back.

Always love eating here! The owners is just the nicest guy you will ever meet. He is always there working right along side the other employees. We always get asked how everything was. The customer service is always incredible. The folks who work here are genuine and sincere. Whenever there is an issue, the employees go way out of their way to make it right. Love the selection of toppings: including the cheeses! The punch card is well worth it! Keep up the good work!

My burger go-to. Preferred to the noise and hype of Five Guys. Endless array of condiments. Good fries! Good attentive service, too.

Went there last night for a burger and was disappointed. It was very average when I gave them a try 6 months ago. Hope springs eternal, but for just a burger and Coke it was $9. Well, the meat was not as good as even Wendy's, everything else was very poor. Iceberg lettuce, is OK, but not when it's all white! I paid extra for Avocado which was so hard it wasn't edible. Why serve condiments that you know are bad??? 2 strikes your out!

The buns here are awesome! The burger is tasty and a good change up for knoxville. I've had it a couple of times now and it has been constantly good. Also the fries are more than enough to share!

After seeing a friend's review of Mooyah, I knew I had to try it out with my family, especially since they have a veggie burger! Do you know how hard it is to visit a burger joint in Knoxville and find one for us vegetarians? It's almost impossible when no one else in your family is willing to try adventurous things. But I digress. I don't know if they are owned by, or a sister franchise, to the sandwich chain Which Wich?, but the decor, way you order, etc. reminds me of just that. Immediately upon entering, there is a counter with red Sharpie markers and ballot-style pieces of paper, and upon filling them out, you take them to the register and they bring your order to your table (awesome news for all you lazies out there) Which, might I add, took maybe 5 minutes, if even that. I hate Five Guys other than their fries, and if you are a fan of said fries, you'll be happy to know that Mooyah's fries are almost an exact dupe. Except maybe more seasoned. But they're still good. Anywho, they give you a freakin' ton of fries, even if you order a small size. I ordered large for whatever reason, and I honestly couldn't eat them all in addition to the burger. Ah yes, the most important part. The burger. It was pretty good! I'm used to eating Boca burgers and Gardenburgers, so it was kind of a surprise to find that this one is made of black beans. It was different, and really tasty. It just felt very unhealthy for some reason, even though it obviously isn't. Unhealthy foods typically taste the best, though, so there you have it. :o) My parents liked what they had, too, so this place gets major points from me for satisfying all of us, which many restaurants these days fail to do.

I loved the quality of the burger and the fresh-baked bun. The fries were a bit overcooked, though. Overall, the price is a bit higher than I'd like to pay for a hamburger and fries, but the quality is definitely there.

First time trying one of these and it was good enough that I'll give it another shot. The service was excellent as was the vibe both inside and out. Very lively and upbeat. They weren't bringing ur food to u like I read in another review, but u could order w/ a sheet or in person and they'd call ur name out ver enthusiastically when it was ready, lol. The bread's fresh made and the wheat option was pretty good. Lots of options to top ur burger, the cheapest of which are free. Everything tasted very fresh and wholesome, not a slimy mess like u might expect. The fries were good, not great, but there were LOTS of them and I only ordered the regular. More than enough for the 2 of us. The hot dog was really good and the put cheese and onions on it for me, but didn't have chili. They said they're working on it;). The wheat bun was good, but fell apart and too big for the dog;(. They've got good ice, so order a drink, even if ur doing take-out! All-n-all, a good first impression that will have me coming back to give them another shot.

In theory I should like Mooyah better than I like Five Guys. They have more options (more cheeses, sauces, choice of beef, turkey or veggie patty, and choice of bun) so I should be able to expand upon what I've perfected at FG. Although the burgers are very good it's just not the flavor sensation I get at FG. I think the biggest difference is Mooyah appears to use a pre-formed patty and does not season the beef. Still a very good burger. And I do prefer the grilled mushrooms and onions at Mooyah. Again the fries come in large portion so bring your friends and share.

Having read a review my husband and I decided to try the place. It was busy and we opted for take out. Placed the order, which was after a short wake, and then waited for quite a while. I was handed the order and after we arrived home discovered that half of the order was missing. While the food was ok (five guys is better) , the service left a lot to be desired. The person handling the orders was trying harder to be hip, than productive. Doubt I'll return after my experience.

Not sure what the buzz is about. I eat everything and didn't finish the mooyah burger and threw away most of the fries. Bland, slimy. Best food was the chicken fingers and that's weird. Milkshakes were good. Ill give them that. Head up to dead end bbq for the rebel yell burger and faint from delight.
