I read the reviews while I was waiting on my order to be delivered, so I expected the worst! The food is delicious though. The service was fine. He kept asking me "are you sure?" when I ordered something, but I feel like that was just a language barrier thing. Not rude, by any means. Food was hot and I received it pretty quickly. $12 order minimum for delivery and then a $2 delivery charge - to be expected. Lighten up Yelpers! It's delivery Chinese food in Knoxville, TN. There's not many of those around here!! UPDATE: So I either threw away my receipt or realized I didn't get it from the delivery person. I called and they immediately offered to fax me a new one. So, I would dare say the service is great!!

My husband and I decided to order in last night. Thank goodness for that, because we woke up this morning to another snow storm! So, it's back to eating our own cooked meals-and trait this friends, they just cannot compare to take out. So, I ordered egg drop soup and some peanut butter noodle thing and my hubby ordered Mongolian beef and a spring roll. The food took about an hour, but was delivered without fail. Even on our icy roads. The food was tasty but the crunches for the soup were missing and the food wasn't hot, only warm. Other than that.... We showed down!

Good food but I just wanna give 4 stars because of the cold service. We ordered Sweet and sour pork and Szechuan spicy chicken. Very good taste. But the bad service made me unhappy.

The food is not good and the people answering the phones are extremely rude. I was told my food would take 45 min to be delivered and after 30 min I got a call saying my card didn't go through. After we got that worked out, I asked how much longer it would be and I was told it was on the way and that if I wanted it faster, I should've "come and gotten it myself." For real, she actually said that to me. I live 10 min tops from this place. I didn't get my food until over 45 minutes after the second phone call. I will never get food from there again. If you're looking for good Asian delivery I would call Szechuan garden or go to Osaka.

The only positive about this place is that they deliver and the delivery driver was nice. After that it goes down hill quick. I ordered hot & sour soup, no crunchy noodles or spoon. The egg roll was cold & over cooked. The chicken fried rice had absolutely no flavor, it tasted like minute rice with a few veggies and totally pain chicken with no seasoning at all. To make things even worse, it was all overpriced. If you're in south Knoxville, stick with Ming Dynasty on Chapman Hwy, they're the best Chinese food restaurant in this part of town & they have a drive-thru.

Middle of the road joint but a good choice if you're not feeling meat, i.e., vegetarians can get decent tofu and veggie options here. My Asian posse tells me that West Knoxville is where you need to go for decent Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Indian, etc.

Not a bad place to eat. Might not have the friendliest order taker but the food gets the job done. Lunch deals are good, you get quite a bit of food !

I've eaten here so many times and have had no complaints. I moved here from NYC and while I was there, I never appreciated having Chinese outside since my mom cooks it all the time. But whenever I get a craving now, this is where I go. It's funny because someone said they preferred Dynasty Express over this place but I cannot disagree more. I gave DE a chance since I didn't want to hike all the way down the strip to HoD but I will never make that same mistake again. Don't come here looking for a food to be "vegan" or the place to have a fancy atmosphere. Come here for delicious food at a good price and large portions. Be polite and smile, and they will treat you respectfully. If you expect to be waited on hand and foot, you're just wasting your time.

Terrible food. Flavorless. Old broccoli, bad meat, and mush "fried rice". Girlfriend and I ordered in and didnt finish half of it. Waste of $20.

I really love this place! The food is great! They have traditional Americanized dishes if that's what you're looking for or for that friend that likes to "play it safe", but their Malaysian and Thai menus are something I suggest everyone try something from. My personal recommendations are the Mee Hoon, Mee Goreng, and Rendang Beef. I uaually have House of Dragon at least once a week. The staff is great, both in person and for delivery and the prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality of food you get.

The food is all right, and the only service I have utilized is delivery. Pretty standard chinese food with standard delivery- I'm happy but it's not awesome.

A Chinese haunt on the strip. I ate here a few times and knew someone who worked here for a while. Neither of us liked the experience. The restaurant is a bit cavernous and the service is poor. The old man is boorish and the young woman is just aggressive and rude. I didn't like the flavor of their food anywhere as much as Dynasty Express, and hardly ate here after the exploration phase. This appeared to be the general impression of UT students as well. Two strange fellows I knew loved the Shrimp Chow Mein from here, and dragged me along a few times. I didn't eat that entree (I don't trust fast-food Chinese restaurants with seafood), so maybe it was good. I just don't know.

Warning for students. Actual Chinese people eat here. You wont like it. Actually the owners are malaysian. if you want a real treat order from the malaysian section of the menu. One of the last authentic family owned asian joints in knoxville. Also, they arent so chipper when it comes to a bunch of sorority girls so if people in your crew say OMG! and Ewwwww and Hella dont expect great treatment. They love my kids and give them sweets all the time, and always seem very happy to see my family.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
