I have been dining at El Charros since the 90's. Almost always great service and great food. Our family goes here frequently. Great food. Fair prices. Kid friendly. Really really good service. Juan and his crew work hard at providing a great dining experience.

Family dinner, we had a coupon and I'm kinda glad we did, it's not terrible food just not what I was expecting. I have never had a burrito with marinara sauce on it til now... Decent portion sizes though. I was just getting ready to say the service was good then she came and started touching my 16mo's head... A lot. I'm weird about people doing that but it was for sure past my comfort level. She was very nice though-good intentions.

I've been eating here for at least 10 years and with the exception of a short time with bad servers, I've never had a bad experience. If I did, I'm sure I could let Juan (the owner) know and he would make it right. Everyone has always been friendly to me. I think they're cheese enchiladas are better than anywhere else, and their salsa is fresh made. The place can be busy at lunch. This is also a good place to take the family especially if you have smaller kids.

Fast service. Friendly people. By the evening I was sick. Confirmed with the other person who also felt sick later that evening. Sorry, won't be back.

This little Mexican style resturant has decent food and reasonable prices. Today I went in there and tried their Carnitas En Salsa Verde, which is pork tips in a Verde sauce. They gave a fairly generous portion of the pork with rice and beans. The dish was good and had a bit of kick to it. The colimentary salsa was like a thick and spicy tomatoe sauce. The ordered queso dip was nice and thick and not watered down like you find at some resturants. The place was clean and had a decent Mexican themed atmosphere. The Main reason I come here is because they are inexpensive.

Not my favorite place for Mexican food. The food is ok but to Tex-Mex for me - I was expecting Mexican. They don't offer any of the traditional Mexican foods (Pozole, menudo, buche, lengua, adobado, chicharron or homemade tortillas) but if your ok with Americanized ground beef tacos and canned salsa I would recommend this place. Just not for me! The staff was great. Bathrooms so-so, kinda small and rundown.

Decent Tex-Mex food. Nothing that will blow your socks off but it's not disappointing either if you're looking for that typical Americanized Mexican food. Their rice and beans are pretty good and I did particularly enjoy their salsa, to which it seems like they add a good amount of the Valentina hot sauce that sits on each table. Overall it was about what I was expecting and I would make no qualm about returning if I was nearby.

The reviews for this are dead on. Ate there on 6/19/14, the food was decent, but not at all top notch Mexican. My wife liked the nice atmosphere and the waiter (owner) was super friendly and offered low Mexican beer pricing for the World Cup. The kids didn't like the rice at all as it was too spicy for their kids meal, but they liked their quesadillas. The chips(which I consider a main part of a Mexican food review) were adequate but the salsa wasn't fresh. The bathrooms were dirty with a bug in the sink.

Very rude. I placed a to go order, which they got wrong and the guy acted like it was my fault. Food was gross and they shorted me a salsa.

Above average Service. Good food. Pricing a bit high. Up-Charge for substituting cheese instead of beef in your enchilada is a little out of line.

Cheap price good food. If you want Mexican it's hard to beat for the money. A frequent place to go in my college years.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
