I'll borrow from the other guy and caveat my review that this is 5 stars for Knoxville, so like relative humidity, this place is relatively 5 stars to the other places I've tried in town, and it's been a background hobby of mine to seek out my new favorite place for Chinese food, so I've tried many of our local options before crowning this one my best all around. I also agree with the other reviewer that said skip the egg rolls here - for whatever reason, those were just not good, but the hot & sour soup was a good take on that dish, the dumplings and sauce were fantastic, the general Tso's chicken tasty, slightly spicy, and seemed to be made with decent chicken. Oh and the table sauces - I put a bunch of that hot mustard on the chicken and it really kicked up the flavor, would do that again next time. I wish I lived closer to this place, but I'll make the drive for good solid food like this.

This place is great!! The food is spot on. Our family will defiantly be coming back in for dinner in the near future! If you haven't tried this place you should, you won't be disappointed.

Best generals chicken in Farragut. Warning: the yellow mustard is lethal. Be careful. Will take your breath away.

Just an update, as I've tried some other Chinese places lately and found them to be very much lacking and it's nice to be able to go back to the Dragon Den place and count on it being pretty good. They deliver to my house which is a nice plus and that is usually how I end up getting their food lately. This weekend I went and ordered pork fried rice and kung pao chicken with wonton soup and it was all good. The pork fried rice was just perfect and it made me thankful to have this place here in knoxville. I will say one negative is that for delivery sometimes their time can be really really long, like 1.5 hours so you might want to call ahead and see what the time is. Although this weekend they told me an hour and were there within 40 mins so that wasn't too bad. Not that many places deliver at all, so I consider the delivery to be a plus but you do want to think about timing as I often wait until I am hungry and then the hour seems too long.

My husband and I have had lunch twice at this place and both times it was excellent. I had a sushi roll that was delicious and was big enough to share. The food is cooked fresh to order and servings are generous. We look forward to going to FedX/Kinko's and plan the time around lunch so we go here.

I love this place. It's nothing special but that's why I love it. It is the perfect cliche Chinese food restaurant that I can count on for some good ol' General Tso's chicken. They also deliver and the inside is actually nicely furnished and homely in a chill Asian way. Best average Chinese food ever

Disgusting. Cold short ribs, mushy spring rolls, flat soda, raw peanuts, and you can hear the microwave from the dining area. My meal came out 10 minutes prior to my wife's meal. Avoid at all costs.

Got take out on NYE. Food was ready within 10 minutes, and comes in stereotypical Chinese takeout boxes. The food was good; we had fried rice, crab wontons, general tso's, and sweet and sour chicken. I'd go back for sure. Reasonably priced, and large servings.

Not much on atmosphere, but these folks can cook. We've had two suppers here so far: we were looking for a good, low-priced Chinese restaurant out in West Knoxville, and this is it. We've had the General Tso's chicken, Sesame Chicken, and a few others, and all have been delicious and very well-made. The egg rolls are quite tasty and fresh. The hot and sour soup could be just a bit more sour, but it was still pretty good. Two iced teas, two combo entrees (soup, egg roll, white rice and main) and the bill was around $23. Plus the waitress was nice, fast, and really knew her job. We'll be back!

I came for lunch. Basic interior but clean. Affordable prices, friendly staff, good food. Service was a bit slow. The description says Chinese but more Japanese really. The hibachi grill was good. Didn't try the sushi.

Delicious Chinese food delivered fast. General tso's chicken is some of the best I've had in town.

Wonderful Chinese food!. I ordered delivery and it showed up promptly, hot and by a friendly gentleman. A few days later I ordered carryout and it was correct, hot and ready on time. The food is fantastic and the prices are INCREDIBLE! This is my new favorite Chinese restaurant!

This is the best chinese food in Knoxville. I have no idea what the prior reviewers are talking about, but I limit my selections to General Tso's chicken, hot and sour soup, and egg rolls. I go every time I am in Knoxville, and ate here at least once a week when I lived in Ktown for about 12 years. The General Tso's is great, the hot and sour soup is the best I've had anywhere, and their egg rolls are outstanding. They make their own mustard and plum sauce and put them on the table for you, and both are excellent. The mustard is quite spicy, but I dig that. They have all you can eat platters for about $8 and you can have as many sides and plates of food as you can eat for lunch or dinner (dinner costs a bit more, of course). Like I said, I limit what I get here, as I tend to stick with what I know I like, and what I order is always awesome. What other reviewers have had may not be good, but-- absolutely awesome place for hot and sour soup, general tsos chicken, and egg rolls. This place is full of epic win.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
