Very nice steakhouse that is very much in demand! Make sure that you make reservations if you don't want to wait. We were able to get in on a week night into the bar area without too much of a wait. Pretty much what you would expect at a high end steak joint. Service was great, with our waitress being very attentive. Always filling water and serving up adult beverages. Food was perfectly cooked (NY strip for me) and the sides were great. Can't go wrong with the backed potato. Will definitely be going back on future visits.

Stopped by on our way thru Knoxville and it was wonderful. We ordered from the lunch menu, which was very reasonably priced and ample enough food for lunch (or dinner). Sirloin had a wonderful flavor and perfectly cooked. Our sides (potato and broccoli) were perfectly cooked. Service was quick and the staff were very friendly. Great suggestion by others! Thank you.

I had a family member work here and I can say that every single dish prepared here is absolutely amazing. They are really good with meat temperatures, so don't try to compensate for bad chefs; if you want a medium rare they will cook it to a true medium rare. They can even do half grades, e.g. A medium rare plus is between a medium rare and a medium. I had the boursin filet and it was honestly one of the best steaks I've ever had. They have a lot of house-made items that are just delicious. Would I recommend this? Without hesitation, yes dear God yes

I stopped in for lunch at the recommendation of a friend. Great advice!! The lunch menu is large, varied, value priced. Since there was a wait at 1:00 pm, I sat at the bar. I enjoyed the Catfish, it was served very quickly and hot from the kitchen. The portion was large and well cooked. Service was efficient and courteous . I will be back on my next trip through town.

We came on a Friday night after 8:00pm and were still greeted with a 30-45 minute wait time. Mercy! But so many people had said to try Connors so we hung out and waited while perusing the menu. I wasn't feeling steak so I quickly honed in on the chicken parm, which came with broccoli. The fam decided on appetizers - the shrimp and fried mushrooms. I thought the shrimp were just okay, but the fried mushrooms were good and not very greasy so yay! My parents also got the lobster bisque, which I had a taste of - it was VERY creamy and rich. My chicken parm was a GIANT portion of chicken and I loved the broccoli that came with it, which had lots of yummy flavor. I actually asked for more marinara sauce as my pasta was barely coated and I happen to enjoy saucy pasta. Hubby got the special ribeye steak with truffle butter and a baked potato. The truffle butter came out in an almost ice cream scoop size amount so he took some of it and put it on the potato, which actually ended up being super delicious. The steak, while thin, was cooked perfectly and had lots of beefy flavor. Service was really great and attentive. Our table was under an odd recessed light so I felt like I was in an interview room the whole time - whoops. The music was yucky musack - I recognized loads of hits from Kenny G and others. Just think what a nice jazz soundtrack could do in there... This would be a great place for a special occasion - just call ahead for a reservation for dinner!

Connors is our favorite steak place in Knoxville, for the value you just can't beat what you get. Prices come with the price of steak included which includes a side and your choice of soup and salad. I definitely recommend the lobster bisque soup and cheese grits, out outstanding! Service is impeccable, due to the team of staff that makes sure that your food is delivered hot and right in time. In fact Conners can hang their hat on service, very well done!

Made a reservation thought we would try this one more time. We were seated right @ 8:45pm on a Friday night and its going really well so far.The place is very busy. We each ordered the shrimp cocktail, yummy. Our waitress is soooo sweet and very informative, she brought us fresh bread with pesto...delicious. I ordered the Ribeye, just light pink in the middle....thought maybe if I change the steak it might be better and come out right...with a baked potato chives and butter. Salad was very good, crisp lettuce with a sweet vinargerette dressing....yummm My ribeye steak came back........CORRECTLY!!! It was just pink in the middle, just like I love my steaks. Husbands steak was midrare perfect!!! Awesome experience, for a change. KUDOS to the chef.... This place in the kitchen KNOWS how to run it. This place was packed and yet managed to get my steak right...that tells ya something. Now time for dessert....the chocolate mousse cake is a plus...ugh, soooooo good. WILL be returning to this business again soon and we are bringing the rest of our family as well. Again...KUDOS to a real chef in Turkey Creek!!!! Thank You!!

The Creme Brûlée is HANDS DOWN a "melt in your mouth" and "orgasm worthy" dessert. Oh my goodness. My fiancé got the oysters and loved it. He also got the ribeye and finished his plate before I got halfway done with mine. I got the Boursin filet and the meat is just amazing. It's tender, juicy, scrumptious, and just plain yum. Highly recommend this place.

I've eaten at this restaurant twice in the past month. I mention that because one meal was significantly better than the other. The first time I had prime rib and thought it was excellent. The prime rib was tender, tasty and overall delicious. My second recent visit I had the salmon which I would say was on the small side and just OK. The sides are always good here. I especially like the sweet potato fries. Also kudos on their three layer chocolate cake. The cake was enough for two people, again very good. The service is always excellent, professional and attentive. My three star rating was really based on two shortfalls of the salmon, small portion and really just OK flavor/taste/quality wise. BTW my wife also ordered the salmon and made the same observation(s). Will definitely go back to visit this restaurant but will avoid a fish entree.

Nailed it! Was looking for a steakhouse that wasn't a big chain and this place is it. Get the Boursin Filet and you will not be disappointed. The service is great, the place is busy but is still kept very clean. It's not the cheapest place around, but it's certainly worth it. This place could easily handle groups up to around 10 people.

If I close my eyes, I could have been in an Outback or Texas Roadhouse or Longhorn Steakhouse. The only big difference was no one was throwing peanuts on the floor. The environment reminded me of an upscale Applebee's. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful, but it bothered me they made such a big deal that some of the cuts they served were USDA Choice. Congrats, you're a steak house, that should be the bottom of the bucket choice cut. Started with a house salad and a lobster dip, pretty basic, but nothing memorable. Finished up with a filet mignon that was cooked correctly, but again, don't see myself becoming a regular.

Wait, is Connors supposed to be a higher class restaurant? I think it is? I went bummy style to this restaurant and minus the stares and murmurs, I had an awesome time! Now, let me explain myself before I have some readers scratching their heads on why I would go to a restaurant and not caring how I looked... Now, I helped my friend move into their new house and so I wasn't thinking that I would be going to this restaurant that day. But, I didn't care at that time because since everyone was hungry, I wouldn't be alone in looking bummy. Now onto the food. I ordered: 1. Lobster Bisque and their 2. Alaskan Halibut with Creamed Spinach and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. My thoughts? Lobster Bisque wasn't bad! From what I've heard was that this place will probably have the best around Knoxville... I have yet to confirm this. In my opinion, it was a little on the salty side, and I believe they added MSG because I had gotten the feeling of the burning salty sensation in the back of my throat when eat something containing MSG. Don't hold it over my head though, as I'm speaking out of my own experience. The Halibut wasn't bad either. It wasn't amazing or the best thing I've eaten, but I thought it was good. The only problem I had with this dish was that it got soggy on the bottom while the top was crispy which makes me think maybe the dish was sitting out for a while and took a little to get all the dishes done so it could come out to us. (We had a party of 5) Other thoughts: Seemed pretty packed during the early night, however as the night wore on (8:00) the place was half empty (or half full depending how you look at it) and it was just a little weird. I was thinking that it was because it was the first weekend after Memorial Weekend. Service was great, I had no complaints on the staff. I mean, there wasn't anything that stood out to me, everything was normal. Will I come back? Sure I will... Depending on the circumstances. I felt the prices were a little high for my taste, and rather travel to SF to binge eat my seafood. But hey, if you're craving it, you're craving it.

The Australian lamb was very good, great place, love the fireplace. But the reason I'm rating is because I encountered perhaps the best service in many many years if not ever. That's right, Jules' service was nothing but perfect! She was professional and knowledgeable, kind and her voice so pleasant. All together a flawless experience. Can't recommend this restaurant enough!

I brought my team here for dinner during a recent business trip to Knoxville. We had thought about going to Flemming's but our budget required something a bit more affordable - Connors was the perfect choice! They seated our party of 5 at a round table (which I love and too few restaurants have this option)...our server was knowledgeable and set a good pace for our dinner initially. We all ordered several drinks and entrees - I had the Australian Lamb Chops based on a recommendation and they were very good, I particularly enjoyed the sauce they were topped with. Everyone else thoroughly enjoyed their dishes as well. I thought the quality of the food was beyond my expectations and for the price, we couldn't go wrong. Our waiter seemed to disappear toward the end of our meal - we waited quite awhile for him to check on us, offer dessert/coffee, but he never came around. We finally asked another waiter to have him bring our check. A minor "fail" in an otherwise enjoyable evening.

I can not say enough how amazing the fried green tomatoes are!! We get them no matter what. I am a huge Caesar salad person and the one at Connors can't get much better. The mac and cheese is a must have. The atmosphere is always perfect while the service is exceptional. Price isn't too bad but I've paid more for worse dinners. The seafood is what you would expect from a steak house, so fantastic.

Great service, and the food was great for the price point. Had the Lobster/Crab Bisque and Pork Tenderloin lunch plate. Overall 2 thumbs up!

Can you say over rated? I can... about 10 times too. I'm not sure why this place gets booming reviews, but the prices are steep and the portions aren't amazing. Their beer choice is sub-par too. It's located in the middle of Turkey Creek across the street from Walmart and Chik-fil-a. There's plenty of parking, but there's often a wait on the weekends. I've been here many times with my family & friends in Knoxville and the experience was never phenomenal... but I think it's been worse when visiting with work colleagues. We had a party of 10 on a Tuesday a few weeks ago, and they were just off. The calamari was overcooked, and they only had 3 beers on draft. I ordered a ribeye cooked rare and it came out medium-well. The only good thing I had that night was the Sawworks Brown Ale, which isn't amazing but it's local. All in all, I'd recommend Outback over this place.... but if you're looking for something a little more local, try Calhoun's or Puleo's, they're much better than this place.

We have been here twice and both times this place is very good. It is a little more upscale and even the wait staff wear chef looking uniforms. This is more of a fine dining place so you can probably expect to spend around $50 for two. I got the burger and fries just because I'm not really a steak person. I love burgers and usually steak houses have better burgers than most places, and that is the case at Connors. Their fries are seasoned well. Even with the burgers you can tell they use top quality meat. We got an appetizer of shrimp, they had breading and kind of like a hot wings type sauce and they were pretty good even though I'm not really a seafood person. My fiance had a steak both times we came here and he said it was cooked to perfection both times, and one of the best steaks he has had in Knoxville. We will definitely be going back to Connors, usually for special occasions.

I frequent many of their locations and am never disappointed. I had the clam cakes which were scrumptious and had plenty of crab and less breading. If you are a soup person you must try the award winning lobster and crab bisque. Wow the flavor is amazing and definitely get a bowl!! Great food at a reasonable price. You won't be disappointed.

Very good steaks. I had blue cheese filet and it was one of the best I've ever had! They were super busy on a Thursday night (usually a good indicator of good food when the place is busy on a weeknight, especially with an established restaurant). Attentive service, only 2 minor complaints- we had a reservation and had to wait longer than people who strolled in (and we were only a party of 3) but it was only a few minutes that we waited. And then they were cleaning something at the bar that left a strong bleach odor during the middle of dinner service. Just seemed like that task should have waited until the end of the night. But the food and service were both very good!

This is the first time I've felt compelled to actually write a review. We showed up 20 mins before closing time, admittedly feeling bad about timing, but feeling hungry as well. We humbly asked if they were still serving dinner expecting a "no," or even a frustrated "yes." Instead, we were welcomed in and treated as if they had just opened. Kevin, our server, was amazing. Knowledgable, friendly, and easy to talk to. The bisque was amazing! (It is what they are famous for) and my salad was great as well. However, what truly surpassed all expectations was how our entree was handled. My wife's steak was perfectly cooked. Mine, on the other hand, was overcooked. Being respectful of the time we arrived and being non-confrontational by nature, I decided to keep it to myself. Afterall, even overcooked, the steak was awesome (it was the 12oz ribeye). Despite my attempt to cover up my (very minimal) disappointment , Kevin, intuitively saw through it and immediately ordered me a new steak. And the next steak was perfect. As Kevin delivered my steak, he very genuinely stated to take our time. At no point during our meal did I feel hurried or we were inconveniencing anybody, even though in the back of my mind I couldn't help but think I was. But that was truly my own mind, not a sense I felt from the staff. I would like to thank Kevin and the rest of the Conor's staff for a great experience. Way beyond my expectations!

First meal I had in Tennessee, located in the huge Turkey Creek shopping center. There was a group of 12 of us seated near the bar. I decided on a cucumber martini to get started, but didn't realize it had midori sour in it. Wasn't a fan of it so decided on a glass of rose afterwards. For a starter, most of got salads, me, a casear salad. It was quite tasty. For my entree I had the shrimp and grits, and a side of mac and cheese to see how it added up here. The portions are large, but the shrimp in my entree were gross. They tasted gummy and not fresh. The grits was the best part, and the sausage in it was decent. The mac and cheese was a fail. It tasted like boxed mac and cheese, velveeta like. Such a dissapointment. Overall, was not impressed with this restaurant, although the service was good.

This is a pleasant place with a knowledgeable staff & good parking. Our waiter Jacob was great & very attentive without being overbearing. The decor was nice & tastefully done. The fried calamari was tender & a good sized portion as well. They could make the batter lighter so that the calamari flavour could stand out more. The lobster bisque had a lot of lobster in it(surprisingly so) but had way too much cream in it. They should decrease that by 1/2 & add more sherry to it. Their bead was delicious & hot & fresh. Jacob made a plate of pesto & olive oil mixed together to soak it in & it was very nice. Their sweet potato fries were great & came with my rib eye. Their meat is advertised as being aged a month or more but there was no indication of that as I ate it. Not particularly tender at all. Truthfully, it doesn't stand up to Outback Steakhouse by any measure. Overall a nice place. Overpriced for the inconsistency of the individual dishes quality I thought(as did my wife).

Don't even need to wait for the main course. Excellent lobster dip, strawberry/spinach salad etc. Great service. We did have to wait till 8:20 on an 8 reservation but made the reservation at 7!

Love this place. Love it. Ask for Jordan B! Had the New York Strip with blue cheese and red wine reduction. Omg. De-lic-ous. Wife had the parmesan crusted halibut and it was every bit as good. Server was wonderful. Wonderful experience. Can't recommend it enough.

This is the absolutely best restaurant in Knoxville! The servers and managers are all amazing! They maintain a very professional setting and when things go slightly wrong with a meal, they make it right! The Food is always wonderful, and they have great coffee! My go-to meal is crab cakes with creamed spinach, always satisfies! I've had a few other dishes, all yummy! Desserts are great! Can't say enough! Great Job Connor's!!!!!

I'm rating this on a knoxville, tn scale.. with that in mind this is one of the most consistent and solid resturants in the area. All the seafood is fresh, flown in daily and the steaks are top notch. Everything from the appetizers, bread, salad, soup (amazing lobster bisque), steak, seafood, and yes even dessert is amazing. I got the special of 6oz filet mignon and 1/2 lb of crab legs and the whole meal was amazing. The steak is the best I've had in knoxville. Also the cheesecake more thick than creamy which in my opinion is what good cheesecake is. Additionally the service and environment does not falter.

Have been here several times and the service has always been friendly and the food has never disappointed. Ingredients taste always fresh and they are creative what it comes to the food presentation. During lunch they have great selection of dishes for good price.

Great place for prime rib, steak and seafood dishes, and what I especially love is the strawberry shortcake dessert. There's never, ever any room left for it but after scarfing down their bread and delicious lobster bisque... but I've never been one to quit while ahead. It's upscale, but casual, and the service is great. I don't live in Knoxville anymore so I don't get to go here as much as I'd like, but I was recently in town for a rehearsal dinner and they were very accommodating. The servers never seemed to become irritated with our large group and everything was handled effortlessly - if there was a problem, we had no idea!

Bartenders are knowledgable about the wine!!!! Thank you so much for guiding me towards what my palette desires! Had to send steak back (2nd day in a row) but it came back 2nd time PERFECT. Restaurant went above and beyond and comp'd the steak - NOT NECESSARY!!! I tried refusing the comp but they killed me with kindness. Thank you to the Connors team. Your commitment to excellence makes you the best in Knoxville.

I came here on a business lunch at the suggestion of my Regional Sales Manager and Holy Hot Heck this place was good! This place met my trinity for 5 star: Great Food, Great Service, Great Atmosphere and added the bonus of Great Prices. I don't know what they charge at dinner time but for the quality and quantity of food we got, the lunch prices were insane. I had the lump crab cake with grilled asparagus. It seemed like a stretch that far from the ocean but I was not disappointed. The binder they were using to keep all that delicious crab together must have been conjured by local kitchen magicians. It added only the right seasoning and the right shape to what was otherwise, indiscernible from just a pile of delicious crab meat. On top of everything else, our waitress was wonderful and attentive without ever breaking the flow of our conversation. That is, she was business lunch perfection. I will be happy to return to Connors next time I am in town... and I hope it is soon.

I have eaten here many times over the last 10 years, and I never leave unsatisfied. The service, along with the quality of the food, has always been above average, and the price is not over the top for the experience. My faves continue to be the salmon cesear, which has a Chipotle finish to it, and the grilled Mahi sandwich (not on the menu, but if you ask they'll make any fish meal a sandwich). In Knoxville's evolving restaurant world, Connor's Seafood continues to be a restaurant that makes fine meals at a decent price. Strongly recommend.

Connor's is one of my favorite restaurants in Knoxville! It is a chain, which is somewhat disappointing because Knoxville is so full of chains...but it's a good one even still! It's a bit pricey so it's not a typical place I choose, but when I do I never regret it. I always order a sirloin steak because it's so good, even though it's just a sirloin. I also always order the fried green tomatoes appetizer. HEAVENLY. The collard greens are the best I've ever had. The service is always the best. I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant. & the price you pay is worth it for the quality overall you receive. Check it out!

Great service! Fried green tomatoes were excellent. Spinach and strawberry salad was excellent. Ribeye was excellent. Collard greens were good, but a bit salty. Bar area temperature was a bit cool.

Very solid food. Had the filet with blue cheese and it was cooked perfectly. Also had the lobster mac n cheese and it was very tasty. The only complaint was with the lobster crab bisque which had great flavor but the crab was not cleaned thoroughly and had many bits of shell. This restaurant is owned by the same people that own the chop house.

Lots of people have told me they really like Connors, but my first meal hear for lunch did not have me sold. I got the gumbo to start and it was fine, but nothing special. I then ordered the fried catfish, and it wasn't what I was hoping for. I'm biased because I grew up in Memphis where Mississippi and Delta style fried fish is just everywhere and so good. Nothing may meet my expectations. The service and attention I received was top notch. That's the reason I will go back for a do over.

Eat here on a friday night. It was packed. Glad we had reservation. Mostly plus with just minor flaws. My wife ordered prime rib and I ordered rib eye. The accompanied salad was tasty with unfried bacon bits and shaved almonds and of right portion. I chose Lobster bisque instead of salad and found it had good fresh taste without the heavy cream, unlike the version at Copper Cellar. And I did find pieces of lobster meats in it, imagined ! The over-priced lobster bisque at that other restaurant had everything filtered out and you wound up with just a bowl of lobster flavored cream broth. I like Connor's much better. For appetizer the fried green tomatoe had that perfect fried taste and good crust. We had so much to eat that we hardly touch the house bread which came with an olive oil pesto dipping sauce that was excellent. Now the entrees. My wife's prime rib was thick and tender but had almost no seasoning at all! O'Charlie's has much more elaborate seasoning that you can taste. My medium-cooked steak however was perfectly grilled. It picked up just enough mesquite wood flavor but not overpowering. It was tender but not mushy. The side of rice pilaf was bland, like someone just resoaked the rice and blended the very light seasoning. My wife's steamed broccoli was just that. No smoky butter lathered on top. The pattern is now set. High points on the entrees eg, steaks but don't order prime rib unless you like it without seasoning. But they really need to pay more attention to the sides. Overall I will tell you we shall return, this time to try seafood and raw bar.

$7, $8, and $9 lunch specials every day of the week - yes, even Saturday & Sunday! I was trying to find a good lunch place in the Turkey Creek area and came across Connors - and I remembered my friend telling me her parents love this place, too. Connors is from the same restaurant group as Chop House, another favorite of my parents. Ambiance is very nice (feels like a steak restaurant), but lighting is a little on the dim side for lunch time. We really enjoyed our food, and parents said they'd definitely come back. For starters, we shared one house salad and one cup of soup between the three of us - portions are big so I'm glad we shared. HOUSE SALAD w/ SWEET VINAIGRETTE DRESSING - $3 Portion is pretty big for a side salad, and the salad had some nice extras like bacon, egg, and toasted almonds. Otherwise standard but good salad. CUP OF SIGNATURE LOBSTER CRAB BISQUE - $2.50 The "signature" caught my eye plus I'd read good things about their bisque. Very tasty and a "must-order" :) Nice chunks of lobster & crab, too! 6 OZ CENTER CUT PORK CHOP - $8 I'd have to say the pork chop was the best dish, and I'd order it again in a heartbeat. I love a grilled pork chop that tastes more like steak than pork chop. It really was that yummy. The dish comes with mashed potatoes & collard greens, but the server offered to do substitutions - I'm not a fan of greens and got the asparagus instead. I just wish our server told us the asparagus was $1.25 extra - at least the menu clearly mentions this. However it seems silly to complain considering my pork chop was just $8 - and the asparagus were jumbo size, and very good. The mashed potatoes though were extremely salty and I ate just a few bites. I'd definitely sub the mashed potatoes for something else. 7 OZ SIRLOIN STEAK - $8 I'm just amazed at these lunch prices. Dad's steak was very good, and came with a loaded baked potato - except my dad asked for a plain one for health reasons ... except I watched him cover his baked potato w/ ketchup & Tabasco sauce :( ANGUS CHOPPED STEAK - $8 I'm still scratching my head why mom ordered chopped steak but she enjoyed her meal and I guess that's what matters. I thought it was just ok. Her steak came w/ mushrooms & sauteed onions, mashed potatoes (also very salty), and broccoli. FYI - server said his favorites were the sirloin steak, pork chop, smoked salmon salad, braised short ribs, and the voodoo shrimp. Service was very friendly and good. The rest of the staff were very welcoming, too. Overall 4 stars b/c of the great lunch specials, offering lunch specials EVERY DAY, great food, great service, and nice ambiance. And it's right in Turkey Creek so you can shop afterwards to work off what you ate :)

My boyfriend and I came here to have dinner at 7:40 pm but found still quite a lot of people... After half an hour's waiting we sit down. The price is a little bit expensive. Sandwich here is very good but the pork steak just so-so.

They happily accommodated almost 25 of us. The New York Strip is incredible!! But the restaurant is a little pricey. Well worth it though!! A great way to finish an 8 week training period for my job- with Steak!!!

Our first visit I fell in love with their shrimp and grits, but my husband's special (halibut with a crab sauce) was just ok. However! On our second visit, he had their pork chop and was very satisfied. The shrimp and grits seemed off on our last visit, like they'd forgotten some part of the sauce. Hopefully on our next (and last because we are moving!) visit it's back to par!

It was a nice setting; cozy. I had a steak, salad, and macaroni and cheese. Really, I've had better at a more affordable price. The steak was bland and dry for a medium cooked steak. I had to use a lot of salt. The macaroni and cheese was so-so. I don't mean to be so critical, but I really expected more.

  • Jennie K.

The shrimp and grits are spicy. You have been warned. Even further, the shrimp were very small and overcooked. Had a dozen oysters for an appetizers - they tasted like typical gulf oysters of good size. Nice decor, fancy feeling place. Date night kind of place, I just wish I had a steak instead. Those looked nice.

Went to Connor's tonight for my Mom's birthday dinner since we were in town visiting. As good as (if not better) than many of the steakhouses I have been to in the Chicago area. Value for the dollar was worth it. With a mixed drink, a glass of wine (the four adults shared a bottle), and tip the total was $42/pp. I had the Boursin 9oz. Filet and they cooked it perfectly, my Mom and my wife each ordered the prime rib and those came out spot on for how they ordered them, and they were some of the nicest trimmed prime ribs I have ever seen and were still tender and juicy. My father had the lamb chops and he said that they were cooked nicely too. The waiter (at first) seemed to want to push us to order quickly, but once we stated it was a special meal and implied we wanted to take our time, he backed off and we didn't feel rushed. All being said, the service was great and it was a very enjoyable meal.

In all my experiences at Connor's they have been good, very good, and just okay. The shrimp cocktail is definitely a good way to start. The salads are usually pretty good too. The halibut and the beef selections are good and usually what I order when I dine here. I am not a fan of their oysters or the fried green tomatoes here. I also do not like the pastas here. Many times they are on a wait, so go to the bar, order a martini and enjoy it while you wait on your table. Don't expect fine dining service because its definitely not that, but its not bad either. If you are out in Turkey Creek I would go eat here because I know what I like here and I'm sure you will find something you enjoy too. Enjoy and Cheers!

A family favorite, they are very accommodating of large parties with children. The lunch special are budget friendly and the fried green tomatoes are awesome. The shrimp & Grits are tasty and I order without peppers and onion with no problem. The complimentary bread is delicious and plentiful. The Chilean Sea Bass is my next menu choice Sunday.

I don't know what Lauren S. is talking about in her post from 4/3/2011. First of all, this is quality product! You must be so used to paying $50 a plate for quality in Cali that you can't see a deal when it slaps you in the face! I go for the lunch specials. At $7, $8, and $9 for a nice variety of choices, it doesn't get much better than that! Today is my wife's birthday, and she speciifically requested the Salmon on Potato Cakes and Crab Cakes to share. Amazing fare, amazing wait staff, the only problem is sometimes you get pompous local McMansion-ites in there who can ruin the party, but sometimes it's just fun to people watch and laugh.

Super Nom-Nom! ^__^ I can't say anything about the steaks, but I can tell you that the seafood is some of the best you can get in Knoxville. I highly recommend the Salmon. It is consistently grilled perfectly. It is so moist and tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. I call it "Salmon with a Chaw!" They offer different seasonal garnishes with it, but you can always ask for the mango salsa which, I think, pairs best. Another fish dish I would suggest is the Ahi Tuna. I have never been disappointed with Connor's Ahi, which is not something I can say for every other place in town that attempts Ahi. It is always seared to perfection and the Tuna used is always top of the line. The garnishes for the Tuna are wonderful, consisting of diced vegetables, ginger sauce, and wasabi cream. Each entree comes with two side items. All are quite good. However, if anyone from Connor's reads this, what happened to your mashed potatoes? The newer skin-on ones are good, but the previous skin-off, super smooth, herbed, with a mound of butter in the center were to die for! Please, oh please, bring them back! The atmosphere is very nice. The lights are dim. There is a warm and inviting fire place. The restaurant is very modern but very cozy. The food is pretty pricey, but it is high quality. This is a great place to enjoy a "special occasion" meal. The service is always amazing and extremely professional but still down to earth. This is one of the few places I go that, even in this economy, gets packed around dinner time. I suggest making reservations. Oh and definitely save room for desert. I recommend trying the Bananas Foster. I mean seriously, where else in town can you get Bananas Foster?

I have to say it has always been very good. Very old school and not trendy, but good. If you want a nice meal, do go here. It seems to get better while it's sister, Chop House declines. I was trying to think of a negative, but I can't. Other than kind of boring, but can you really call good that. I don't think so.

Thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. In fact, we enjoyed it so much we ate there twice in the short time we were in Knoxville. Good service. Great food. The steaks were some of the best we have ever had which says a lot since we are from Kansas City and my wife grew up on a cattle farm.

Best. Pork chops. Ever. And always great service. Their food is excellent and consistent. The lunch menu is downright cheap. I've spent that much ($6-$9) at McDonald's before, and Connors is far superior!

On the west side of Knoxville is a restaurant with great atmosphere, personable service and quality meat. I can't vouch for the seafood because I didn't have any, but the selection looked good. The ribeye was cooked exactly how I liked it and the seasoning was perfect. I had a crab bisque which was thick and creamy and did have the little pieces of meat to prove real crab was in there somewhere but I could also taste it in the soup. I would say this place is somewhere better than an Outback and almost up at the Chop House level. Not a Morton's but then you won't break the bank going here either. My friend had the lime chicken pasta and it was good. The steamed broccoli look absolutely fresh. I would definitely stop by here again.

After reading some of the reviews on here I expected a bit more. The house salad with italian dressing was a little weird... much like our waitress. Service was prompt, almost a little too overbearing at times. Chilean sea bass is my favorite fish. Theirs is just okay. The quality of the fish was quite good however their version of the dish has so much going on I think it takes away from the flavor of the fish. Overall I don't think this is any better than chains such as bonefish or carrabas however their prices seem a bit higher.

Horrible! First, how old was that dried out chunk of bread they dropped on our table? Second, I couldn't even find the meat on my burger under all that goop and fried onions mess. Plus the iceberg salad was drenched in sugar dressing. Discusting! ...plus you might want to bring a headlamp to see your sub-par food because it's ridiculously dark in there. The waiters had to walk around with flashlights! What?! Who does that? Now that I've left having lost a couple points off my vision, I feel sick and long for my lunch from earlier today. *find a happy place! Find a happy place!*

We both had the Alaskan halibut and since it was fresh, had it cooked rare. It was delicious to the Nth! We also like the Connors in Ft Myers. It ranks just as high as Knoxville.

Without a doubt my favorite restaurant in Knoxville (and we used to have the most restaurants per capita of any city in the U.S., though we no longer hold this title). I no longer live in Knoxville, but when I come home, you better believe that I get me some Conners action! I love that this is locally owned (I went to high school youth group with one of the Conner boys and my Mother taught most of them in PE at Sacred Heart). But the best part is the food. Everything is prepared on site (as opposed to what I call the microwave restaurants, applebees, o'charleys, chilis, etc) with very fresh ingredients! I very often order one of the many daily specials and have NEVER been disappointed. And if I don't get a special... I get a steak. And mmmm mmmm is it ever good steak, ALWAYS with the grits (divine) and usually the lobster bisque soup (creamy and full of big lobster chunks). ONE time my little sister ordered a very expensive steak for her birthday and when it came out mostly fatty and icky, they took it back, gave her another, profusely apologized and gave her a free dessert. That's what I call service! Oh yeah and there are a few appetizers you have to try or your visit won't be complete... the fried green tomatoes and grits, the fried calamari (hand battered.... so good!), and the pan seared ahi tuna! Oh and my mom swears by the Chicken Parmesan. My one complaint (and its a small one) is that the bread on the table has never been great. They've changed it several times (I think they realize its never been great). Conceptually I liked when they gave out biscuits...but the product didn't follow through, a better biscuit and it would be perfect (Ben do you want my recipe?). The other attempts have fallen short as well, but its ok because who wants to fill up on bread when the food is SOOO good! You should always get reservations, or you'll be stuck in the inevitable hour plus queue.

By far my favorite Knoxville steak house. I always get the fillet and enjoy it every time. My favorite side dish is the mac n cheese (probably the best in town). Try the potstickers for an appatizer. Great food and Great service is what you should expect from Connors.

Any port in a storm - literally. We ended up at Connor's completely by accident. A torrential downpour had descended on West Knoxville and we were stuck out at Turkey Creek. Having lived here long enough to see how people drive in even a small drizzle (cue scene of flaming, flipped over cars and decapitated bodies), there is no way I was going to try to drive home until the rain stopped and TDOT had towed away all of the wrecks. I was able to rationalize this meal as a form of car insurance. Service was great, food exceeded my expectations, and the place was really busy. Connor's was my first time to try a fried green tomato. If you're of the opinion that a tomato is nothing more than a bag of dirty water, then imagine it's now hot and covered with breading. If on the other hand, you're a fan of tomatoes, go nuts. I guess they were pretty good, although I have nothing else to compare them to. All in all, the food was good - the only thing I remember having was the crab bisque. The atmosphere is more memorable than the food - like a half step between Outback and Fleming's. It would be a great kind of place for a birthday party or a wedding rehearsal dinner. Next time you find yourself in West Knox, soaking wet, panicked that you left the windows open at home, and unwilling to drive on I-40, I wholeheartedly recommend Connors until the clouds blow over.

Had a great dinner here on a Wednesday night. I ate at a table in the bar area and service was great. Good selection of drinks and they have happy hour specials prior to 7pm, but it's mostly on well drinks. The bread they served was magnificent. It was a whole load and was perfectly crispy that I was able to eat the whole thing. I went with the 9oz filet and it was very flavorfull. They do an excellent job of cooking the inside just right and having a nice (not heavy) charred taste on the outside with a lot of flavor. Also got the fully loaded baked potatoe that was amazing! Really enjoyed my dining experience here and would recommend it.

I wanted to pick a special place for our anniversary dinner to really make me look better than I really am, and Conner's shined! My wife, who usually more critical than me, loved her filet (as in "perfect"!). The salmon that I had was prepared so well and tasted wonderfully. I hold no more than 4 restaurants in town for the extra special occasions, and this in definitely one.

Fairly casual atmosphere for a decent steak and seafood place. enjyed the crab and lobster bisque and Ribeye steak was cooked perfectly. The fried green tomatoes app was ovvercooked. Servers are all smiles and helpful, which is great when service in most places has slipped into oblivion. Given the fact that I have eaten restaurants worldwide - I applaud this little college town restaurant,

On a recent overnighter in West Knoxville, we were in a quandary as to where to eat late on a weeknight. A drive around the area netted a few options, but the Connors sign called to us as we had never been there. No waiting for us, very casual attire, nice atmosphere, excellent wine selection, spectacular service, and I could go on and on. My Caesar salad was great and seemed to have freshly-made dressing that didn't smother the lettuce and my rib eye was cooked to my liking and seasoned just right. Paired with a good Penfold's cab/shiraz blend, it was a wonderful meal. We will absolutely stop by here again if we are in town and I will have some sort of seafood. Can't wait to try something different here. I would suggest going a bit after the dinner hour on a weeknight and I expect you will have no wait.

Great American Cuisine! Never had a bad meal here...always gotta hit the Fried Green Tomato's with Cheese Grits as an appetizer...can't go wrong with Connor's!

This place is awesome . My family has ate there several times and not once received a bad meal. All the food is delicious and this place is kid friendly. Try it out and you won't be disappointed.

  • Lauren S.

Great American Cuisine! Never had a bad meal here...always gotta hit the Fried Green Tomato's with Cheese Grits as an appetizer...can't go wrong with Connor's!

    (3)

Not exactly gourmet food, but ok. Frozen pizza, frozen small crab cakes and precut vegetables. Steak is good. Great service. Overpriced for standard fare.
