The view is is stellar! Seriously the view is absolutely the best in Knoxville no questions asked. The folks that work there seem nice and the place is well kept up. Only downside is the food isn't that great - sorry folks. I've tried several different dishes and it's just not great...I want to like it and it's not terrible just not good. But hey the View is outstanding! I for sure would recommend this place for a romantic dinner or a nice business lunch. Make sure to call ahead.

Brunch review only... I'd never been to Club Leconte prior to this past Sunday for brunch. I found the place nice, but as a previous reviewer mentioned it's a bit of a time warp. The small amount of patrons were older (75th bday party was there) or what seemed to be family of the staff. It was a pretty low turnout for a downtown scene packed with brunch enthusiasts. I dined there the one Sunday out the month the place serves non-members, so maybe the member experience is far superior. For $30 you get a salad bar, bottomless mimosas, shrimp and crab on ice, and a buffet.. I started with a great omelette, ended with an awesome cheesecake, but struggled with my choices in between. Few dishes really were that special. So while I sat long enough to eat and drink my $30 worth, if most of the dishes were brought to me entree only, I would have been unimpressed. More than anything, what really got me was my inconsistent server and the make your own waffle station. I just feel like for $30 (not including coffee) and an atmosphere that's supposed to be sophisticated and beyond the norm, I got service that didn't compare to buffet's $15 cheaper without all the airs. If invited back I would go. The view is definitely delightful, and nothing was bad. I wouldn't , however, chose the Club Leconte brunch over so many of the other options in Knox. Also, this place didn't except cash at brunch. Wha?

We came here during our visit to Knoxville. It reminded me of a club that is just like this in my hometown. The waitstaff were very well trained, helpful and happy for us to be there. Thank you for still having clubs like these! We had a great time.

Ever been in a time machine? I have. It's on the 27th floor of the First Tennessee building. It will take you right back to 1986. Prepare to experience the cutting edge in a private club experience from three decades ago. I remember coming to Club LeConte growing up, for various weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, etc. It always seemed like a pretty cool place. Amazing what the lens of nostalgia does for you. I started off with she-crab soup, which was actually she-crab sludge. I shit you not, if I had turned the bowl at a 90 degree angle, the soup would have stayed in that bowl. I felt like I should have been given a squeegee instead of a spoon with that course. For my entree, I had the Steak Diane, which was a questionable grade of beef to begin with, and it certainly was meh. Had I been the one footing the bill, I would certainly have been pissed. So, I would imagine if the rates were competitive, this would be a nice venue to have a function, because it does have some nice views, but I can't imagine that the cost of membership has any sort of ROI if you are a member for the purposes of dining. They do have booze, though, which almost always fixes things, and if you drink enough, put on some aviators and squint, you'll be right back in the mid-80's.

We used Club LeConte for our wedding reception and couldn't be more pleased. The food was fantastic and exactly what we wanted - all our guests raved about the food. The staff was excellent; extremely courteous and helpful. Erin, the event coordinator, was particularly knowledgeable and great to work with through the process. The set up and scenery dazzled and wowed all our out-of-town guests (pretty much everyone). Finally, Erin's recommendations for the wedding process were all timely and useful. I highly recommend this as an event venue.

My wife and I have been members of Club LeConte for about two months now and have really enjoyed it. The staff is friendly, the food is great and the view is amazing! Additionally we use it as an office away from home. We own a small business run out of our home and the club gives us a prestigious location for client and employee meetings as well as a much needed change of scenery from time to time. We've also been able to run some of our business events there and the event organizers have been immensely helpful while working with us so if you plan on using the club as an events venue I can't recommend it enough. My only complaint isn't even with the club itself but the buildings parking garage. The parking company has high rates and we find it's often cheaper to park at a competitors lot across the street rather than in the buildings parking garage. Pro's: Great View Tasty Menu Friendly Staff Private Office Space available Con's: Parking in the garage is expensive

What a rip! Jason S. Should be listened to. Yes there is an uncommon and remarkable view but the venue is extremely plain and the service abysmal. We were also there as guests of a member for a function but we paid. And did we ever pay! $170 for a BUFFET that was just the food NO drinks included. (In all fairness the food was good and the selection was quite diverse.) What really infuriated us 'though was how they had the nerve to tack on a 20% service charge in addition AND $15 for parking and then left an additional place for 'gratuity'! This was not just an affront because it was an already exorbitantly priced buffet but because our waiter 'Ben' was only witnessed delivering and picking up cheques. He never 'served' us at all. We had to get our own food being that it was a buffet, our own drinks from the bar (separate tab) and when one of our party needed a napkin, had to go hunt for one themselves as the ever elusive Ben was nowhere to be found. We couldn't even get a refill on ice water. There are several other places around Knoxville with MUCH more to offer than Club LeConte and at much more reasonable prices and these places have ambience and parking thrown in! You would think if Club LeConte had any sense and are charging for membership in addition to all of the above that they would at least try and make it look appealing. Time for an update and not just with the decor.
