Probably the best fast Mexican food available in the whole wide world. LOVE Chipotle! (Just wish we'd get 2 or 3 more in K-town that aren't such a pain to park and get to....I.E. Turkey Creek!!

Chipotle. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. Is it your unending food combinations? Or the amazing flavors you produce? Let's not forget your dedication to animal welfare or your ever friendly employees. Is it the fact that you're open seven days a week or the quick service despite long lines? I love thee Chipotle and I shall but love thee better every day.

I have visited this Chipotle at least a dozen times, and it is excellent! The staff has always been friendly and accommodating, while still being efficient and knowledgeable. Their food is always hot and fresh. I love the veggie burrito bowl with grilled pepper and onions and roasted corn salsa. I could eat it every week! I won't even take off a star for the fact that they don't give free chips, because the food is THAT much better than Moe's or Salsarita's.

This is not Taco Bell I'm always cautions when it comes to Mexican chain restaurants. Normally, when it comes to a first-class Mexican restaurant you rely on a fine mom and pop restaurant; the one that has developed a reputation of absolute goodness. But Chipotle's burritos are delicious. Granted, the way the burritos are made at Chipotle are by no means the types of burritos we Mexicans are accustomed to eating. Chipotle nonetheless, offers the non-native taste developer an American version of Mexican burritos. Correction, it offers the non-native a true representation of how Mexican ingredients could be developed into a bigger and meaner burrito. According to Chipotle they support local farmers and try to use meats from animals that have not been raised on antibiotics or added hormones. The vegetables are also home grow. Supporting local business is always a big plus! In short, the tortilla accompanied by your selection of several meats along with frijoles, rice, selection of salsas, queso, guacamole (better known as guac), crema agria, and lechuga, makes for one pound of heartiness. So if you're craving Mexican, and are not familiar with Mexican dishes then eating something more mainstream like Chipotles burritos, will not only fulfill that craving but will have you coming back for more. -Chida

I really hate to give a review of a chain restaurant, but since there's really nothing else in Knoxville that's worth mentioning, here we go. The food is good. They keep it simple, and it works for them. I've never had a bad experience here, and you can go healthier or not depending on what kind of mood you're in. The salsas are actually really good, and I don't know what they do to their chips (flaky salt and lime juice I think), but they're freaking amazing. I almost always go with a bowl, just because gigantic burritos are a little much for me to tackle. The quality of the ingredients is evident, and it beats the quality of the ingredients at many Knoxville restaurants that purport to be "gourmet." My biggest complaint is that the place is incredibly noisy. You can't really have a conversation with anyone without yelling. And, if you go at lunch, prepare to wait for a seat or have to sit in the window area. This drives me crazy. However, the food is good, and it's quick. Sometimes that's all you need.

Chipotle fans of Knoxville, rejoice! Our mother-ship has finally come to us... For those not familiar with Chipotle you can expect fresh food fast and for a reasonable price. "Food with integrity" is Chipotle's mission focusing on supporting sustainable, local and organic food when possible. The standard menu consists of burritos, tacos, burrito bowls, and salads that you can customize to your own fancy as it will be prepared right before your eyes. Do yourself a favor and stop by Chipotle- you won't regret it!

We're Chipotle regulars. Kind of in an embarrassing way. Not that it's not a "cool" place to eat, but they always hire such awesome people, that we end up chatting with them way too long, and holding up the line. Seriously, why are those people so cool? And the food, well we wouldn't be regulars if it didn't have several redeeming qualities, primary of which is the food. The menu is simple, which I love. No matter what way you serve it up, there's a delicious combination. For a long time, I was laser focused on eating the Barbacoa. Spiced beef. What's not to love? The Carnitas is delicious as well, but it doesn't hold a candle to the Barbacoa, so I'm pretty much stuck. Or I was until they decided to start serving Sofritas. What that means, I have no idea, but it's basically amazingly seasoned, small bits of tofu. It's tofu for those who don't like tofu even. It's not chalky or eggy. Just tasty. It's to the point now where I get Sofritas more often than anything because Chipotle is fairly environmentally conscious and interested in sustainability, as am I. The Sofritas is a less guilty way to enjoy the delicious goods that Chipotle has to offer, which is one sure fired way to keep me coming back. Good food, great people, and there's usually pretty decent music playing as well!

Good, good... Good, as always! Chipotle's keeps it fresh, keeps it tasty even an hour before close. Plus I like the fast service for their slow cooked goodies. I will be back :)

Who doesn't love chipotle? This is my go-to spot when I want something fast, easy and delicious. I have never had a problem with this place, the employees are fast, friendly and helpful. Good in my book.

This is solely based on service. Tennessee chipotles employees are really cheap. Asked for just a little more chicken and got turned down. "Sorry I can't give you anymore. If you want more, pay $3 for it." I'd bet you wouldn't say that if your friends were on the other end. In fact, you'll probably give your friends extra food even if they don't ask for it (I've seen it countless times). This is the third time in Tennessee I've been turned down when asking for a little more meat (Memphis, Nashville to Knoxville). Been to chipotles all over the states, never once had I been turned down. Don't get me wrong...I love chipotle but the portion control they use really depend on the person getting your food and when I see that they give me too little than what I usually get I would simply ask for JUST a little more. It's not like I'm asking for one full scoop but just a couple more chicken. But this is just down right straight to "NO." What a cheap people. Thanks all the chipotles employees in Tennessee for such an exceptional service. I'll be avoiding any business at chipotles in Tennessee from now on.

Once again I drive outta my way to enjoy the best burrito on the planet. I live 20 minutes away, but cannot resist driving at least once a week to Chipotle. The chicken, cilantro lime rice, fajita veggies, black beans, sour cream, guacamole and salsa decadence in a bowl last night was it for me. Then I usually smoother it with tons of smoked Tabasco sauce to light it up a notch. I highly recommend this place. Sometimes you may catch them with a huge line but it's so worth the wait. 10 stars!

First visit to this location. It's not their fault but there's nowhere to park even for someone who takes an early lunch such as myself. The food was really good as I expected but...I'm done ordering burritos. It's pointless. Just thrown it all in a bowl. I'm glad they want to stuff my $8 burrito so I feel I'm getting my money's worth but when the guy making my burrito has to try 3 times to wrap it without busting a shell? You're putting too much in that thing! My burrito assembler refused to cut mine in half for me and told me to use the plastic knife provided in the dining area. Okay. Whatever. So I have two choices. 1) I just try to shove this overloaded burrito in my face hole to have it explode all over the place or 2) use their tiny plastics knife to cut it in half. I opted for #2 which also led to a completely destroyed burrito. I'm probably sounding a bit fussy at this point but after my burrito exploded and the foil underneath was rendered useless as a vehicle for the leftover half I wanted to take with me, I was so irritated I didn't really enjoy my lunch, which I ended up having to eat with a fork anyway. After standing around for 5 minutes trying to acquire a to-go container I gave up, threw the other half in the trash and went about my business.

This location needs more seating and to get their designated parking back! Otherwise great, always friendly staff. Plus, they recently added margaritas to their menu, great before seminar.

Amazing. Definitely small but worth it. They have the best guacamole out of any Mexican restaurant you will ever visit. Nothing compares!

You can never go wrong with chipotle! It's about time that it came to Knoxville- UT area. It's a meal that I must have once a week. However, I would like to talk about the staff at this particular location. The staff is extremely friendly - readily greeting you. Certain chipotles tend to jip you of your meat, rice, or whatever other ingredients but this place sure knows how to load it up! I either get the burrito or burrito bowl and it's delicious everytime!

Can't go wrong with Chipotle. Always fresh, always good. I e-mailed them a couple of years ago and said they needed to build one on the strip citing a university right next door as a huge source of sales. Perhaps I should get a cut of the action? LOL

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
