Thank-you fellow Yelpers! We just pulled off I-75 on our way to Asheville for lunch. Some of the tastiest BBQ we've had yet in our travels. We shared the Big Boy plate with pulled pork and chicken, both very good. But then we had a sample of the ribs and they are the BEST! We purchased some of the rub to take with us, along with a couple of desserts for later. This was a great find and the staff was all super friendly.

Love this place. Ribs are amazing! Great service. I will always eat here! Also, try the greens, beans and many other side options.

We were looking for a good place to eat but there were not many good leads in the area that were not commercial chain restaurants. Looked at various rating sites and Archers had good reviews on all. The guys working there are inviting and nice. We ordered a half rack of ribs, pulled pork sandwich, potato salad and some greens. Ribs had a great taste and pulled pork was moist. The loaded potato salad was meh. We would come back here again when we are back in town.

Absolutely delicious. Been there twice and somehow the 2nd time was even better. That BBQ was simply amazing. Hot, moist, and smoked really damn well. Sweet potato chips are the best. The loaded potato salad: great. I wish there was more in terms of atmosphere, like some of the other BBQ joints around town, but the food more than makes up for it. Buddy's BBQ can suck it.

A truly unexpected delight. We came across this spot on one of our many drives between Charlotte and Louisville, and we couldn't be happier to discover it. Friendly staff, delicious sauces, amazing sides, and, most importantly, beautifully smoked meats. We will most definitely be back.

Average at best. Way overpriced for the quality of food, sadly I would recommend dead end or even buddy's over this place.

This is a solid stop if you're highway traveling and looking for some barbecue. The menu is classic and full of exactly what you'd expect from a bbq joint. The meats are smoky and delicious, and there are plenty of quality sauces to douse them in if that's your game. The sides were on point - tasty greens and potato salad. Bottom Line: If I'm every in the neighborhood, I'll make an effort to stop by for a meal.

The Big pork barbecue sandwich was excellent. A nice selection of sauces which you may or may not add to your sandwich. The side order of collard greens were also above the norm. Exit just north of Knoxville on 75, and skip the fast food joints. You will not be disappointed.

Delicious! Just moved to Knoxville and have tried all the known places (including those featured on the big networks) and this one had simple, delicious food. Also love that they are contracted with one of the delivery services so if you live locally you can get delivery for a fee. They close early though so keep that in mind and order early!

Perfect for a road stop. Was passing through on the way to Savannah. Half slab with 2 sides. All was terrific. Try the sauces and go nuts with the sides. They're all pretty good.

Very good pulled pork and excellent sides. Green beans are some of the best I have had. Family four pack would feed five or six.

Amazing. Thanks for bringing west tenn bbq to east tenn where no one can make it right. Especially sauces. Great variety of homemade sauces with very little ingredients. Always good, always friendly. Never ever disappoints. My go to spot.

We stopped through on our way back to Atlanta, based on previous reviews. I am so glad we did! They had some of the best pulled pork and sweet potato chips that i and my husband have ever had. They were also very knowledgable about my gluten allergy and did their best to pull the meat from a fresh butt and change their gloves prior to touching anything they put on my plate. We will definitely stop by if we are back up this way!

Great spot to stop when traveling north/south on I75! We picked this BBQ based on previous Yelp reviews & they were right on. Kids had pork plates, 1 side, drink & cookie for $5...good sized portions. Husband & I split Big Boy combo (chicken & pork, 2 sides) $10. Lots of great sauces to choose from! Def try the potato salad & banana pudding- YUM Service was super friendly, helpful picking items as 1st timers & quick!

For all interstate travelers, this is a place worth the detour off i40. 12 minutes to and from your route won't be missed once you taste the food in Archers. Yesterday we decided enough with the fast food places between New Jersey and New Orleans. Checked out yelp and stopped here. Best BBQ ever. My wife and I shared a big boy platter for $13. Wow. Chicken, pulled pork beans cole slaw. They even gave us each a rib sampler. My wife looked at her mounds of food and said no way could she finish. But only clean plates left the table. The pork was totally devoid of fat. Lean and tasty. Sauces were amazing. Plus the place is immaculate. Servers very nice. We'll be back. Any chance you guys will put a restaurant in NJ? Please?

Great local BBQ spot! I stopped in for a snack, and had their pulled pork sandwich and baked beans. I loved that they had such a variety of sauces to add. More importantly, and explanation on the bottle to help distinguish what you were tasting. Guys at the place were very friendly, even trying to accommodate a bottle of rub to take back to California with me.

Almost some of the best ribs I've tasted. After reading the reviews, we thought our party of four would try this placeb out. When we drove up, my first thought was " this can't be it".... But the sign clearly said, archers bbq. We walked in, and from the looks I was still thinking, this can't be it. However, a strong familiar flavor filled the air. It was thick, and spoke of good things. Their selection was true to most bbq places, slaw, beans, potatoes, ribs, pulled pork.... Prices seemed to be in line, so I ordered the 1/3 rack of ribs, slaw and baked beans. Service was good and both the guys behind the counter were very helpful. We sat down and started to enjoy. The taste was great. Some of the best ribs I've had. The dry rub was fantastic and brought the right amount of heat to the tongue. Slaw was just slightly on the watery side, and the baked beans had a delightful pepper flavor. I ended up purchasing some dry rub. I would highly recommend.... don't let the outside, or inside fool you.

The food is inconsistent here. The first time I tried it, it was amazing. The second time it was dried out and cold. They need to drop the prices a bit and work on consistency. If they fix those 2 things then they can be amazing.

Lean (almost dry) tasty barbecue sandwich on a warm fresh bun. Counter service only but employees were friendly and helpful. Beans were very good, sweet and spicy. In my world spicy is nicey ! I wasn't a big fan of the potato salad. Really was just cut potatoes swimming in mayonnaise, no onions, no celery, very bland. Ate here for lunch during work week, thought it was a little pricey. Restaurant clean, even bathroom very clean. Rating closer to 3 1/2 but rounding to a 4. Will probably come back and try something else in near future.
