So just when our last dining experience at Sammy`s steakhouse in Marion, IL left us believing it couldn't get any worse, we were proven wrong...as we were being seated something just didn't seem right. Maybe it was all the camouflage and bling, the bikers, rednecks and prostitutes. I was suddenly regretting not having my gun with me. Then we got the menu and were surprised to see items on it that you would expect to see on a classy restaurant menu. we almost got up and left at this point, but we thought the food must be good because there are so many people here. Our waitress came to the table and bent over with her hands on the table and sqooze her arms together till her boobs nearly feel out on the table (ok, so as the only female at the table I'm probably the only one that didn't enjoy that part) she took our drink order 3 times but never wrote it down. One of the guys said, she's a little off, I said ya cause she's totally drunk. She then comes back and says ok, I need to get your order again, she attempts to write it down but it appears totally illegible. Finally the drinks come out. Then she pulls up a chair all of our eyes get big. No big deal you think, well at our last dinner when the girl pulled up a chair she then later threatened to stab us in the neck, so w were a little nervous. So to make a long sorry short she took our dinner orders several times, brought or checks out before we even got our diners, never brought our appetizer, we ordered drinks from another waitress, got another bill that was wrong, got our drinks on the house, finally got our diners which were actually pretty good, the manager stepped in after her 3Rd attempt to sort out the bill, our waitress disappeared (we assume she was fired) she offered us free dessert, then our appetizer showed up, then she messed up the receipts, and finally 3 hours later we escaped! Later to find out 2 people in our party were double charged! I think I'll be cooking dinner in the hotel tonight!

We got a kick out of the gator bites. We travel a lot but it's still funny for us New Yorkers to see things like gator bites or grits on a menu. All of our food was great, service was friendly and quick. I would absolutely go here again.

Neither my wife, who grew up here, nor I had ever been to Redbone's but the idea of cajun sounded good to us. Unfortunately the chef thinks that cajun = salt and lots of it. The gumbo would've been nice if it had been less salty. Nice blend of meats and the broth was an appealing consistency. Just too salty. The red beans/ rice was almost too salty to eat, but we were starving. The sausage in the red beans/rice tasted more like grilled hot dogs than andouille, but hey--it's Jackson, TN. I'll hydrate and double up on my blood pressure meds today. Kudos to our server who told us that we were ordering too much food as their portions are larger than expected. (We considered including salads.) She said that she's all for spending more, but she felt we'd waste it. Her tip reflected her honesty. The bar had a good vibe and was packed on a Wednesday night. The live music was decent and the volume was reasonable. No bikers that night--guess it was the after-church crowd. I'd go back for a cocktail or a beer, but not for the food.

I ate here with my boyfriend and it was very entertaining and the food was good. I ordered a basic steak and loaded potato and he ordered a burger. The burger was really good it had some special sauce on the bun. We also ordered an alcoholic beverage and it was called swamp water. It was pretty good as well!

3rd time in this city and Red Bones is my #1 stop. Tonight they have a Blues Band, nothing better than getting out of work getting a delicious pork chop dinner some beers and blues playing in the background, sweet spot.

The best Black Angus Steaks in town. Especially with crawfish graveyard. Good gumbo & bread pudding (add you a shot of Malibu) ! We love this place ! Best in town for casual dining !

I didn't eat here so this review is only for the bar area and the live band that played on August 2, 2013. We were staying overnight at the Quality Inn across the street and looking for a watering hole within walking distance. They have happy hour, or more like happy day from 11a-7p, our bartender was quick and friendly, she had a full bar and still managed to keep our drinks fulls. No smoking inside the bar area or restaurant (thank goodness), but they have a smoking area patio right outside. Best part about the night was the live band. I'm not a country music fan, but these guys were awesome!

First off let me start on a positive note, the gumbo was delicious as was the shrimp étouffée. service was quick, friendly and good. Now for the disappointment, my husband ordered red beans and rice as well as the étouffée for his meal. When they came to the table you couldn't tell difference between the two. Now being that my husband is from Louisianna area he knows his Cajun food. Honestly I should have taken a picture of the red beans. Not only was the color off, but there were about ten beans in the bowl and his étouffée only had one shrimp. We could not tell the difference between the two. After talking to waitress, manager and kitchen chef they finally brought him a new bowl of étouffée with shrimp in it but he had them take back the red beans. Such a disappointment as he was really looking forward to his meal! The restaurant tried to make it right but don't bother with the red beans and rice. Order the other menu items we had as they were delicious! Oh by the way, if you want bread with your meal ask for it! They don't ask or bring any to you.

Good service and friendly, had the Gator Bits for a bar snack, that was great, cold beers, and live music ! The band rolled straight into a Johnny Cash number, cool !

We rode in from Memphis on Sunday because we heard there would be live music. The band was set up in the parking lot and most of the parking was marked of for bikers. We sat on the patio so that we could listen to the band and grab a bite to eat. The menu has a pretty impressive selection. Sandwiches, seafood, burgers, steaks... plenty to choose from. Good prices too. I had a difficult time deciding what to order but eventually picked a burger with bacon and cheese. I also ordered a side salad with blue cheese dressing. My boyfriend ordered a burger and sauteed shrimp appetizer. I can't remember what it was called, but it included somebody's name. My salad was nothing remarkable but it made a good appetizer. I tried one of the shrimp and they were tasty. It was the sauce of pure butter and spices that made the dish so good! My burger was fine. A little more well-done that I like but the flavor of the meat was enjoyable. For the money, I think Redbone's offered a good value.

mobile review Redbones has changed a lot in the past few weeks. A total remodel has been done and they are now completely non-smoking. Very good gumbo. Great $4.99 lunch specials. Friendly staff. Good food. I like this place. BTW - this is not a chain or franchise.

These guys have very little idea what Cajun cuisine means. As a bonus, the interior of the place smells like Pall Mall and vomit. Yikes. Is it just me, or is that something that can't be handled with just a little effort?

Yummy food, reasonably priced, in a pleasant (though strongly smelling of cigarette smoke) atmosphere. We had a sandwich and an entree - both portions were generous for the price.
