Amazing late birthday dinner!!!! Hearty sweet potato fries cooked just right and their broccoli has hollandaise sauce! So I got the smothered steak with blue cheese butter and sauteed mushrooms and onions. The mushrooms looked like they came from a can but who cares, it's was perfectly cooked strait to the soul :) the service was on point, awesome, attentive and genuine. Ask for Brittany to be your server!!!!! You'll feel well served and welcome immediately.

It's been a while since I've visited the Junkyard Dog, and there's a reason. Last time I went, Junkyard Dog was one of the few choices of restaurants in town (luckily a few more have opened since!), and we wanted to take the visiting grandparents out for dinner. First up, the Junkyard Dog lives up to its name. The places literally has junk everywhere. They've mimicked the kitschy idea of putting strange memorabilia on the walls and ceilings, then took that idea to a whole new level. They've even blocked up the windows with junk, so it's pretty dark inside all day. The menu offered is OK - pretty standard stuff like French Dip sandwiches, chicken salad, and sirloin steaks. Once served though, the food is bland and pretty unmemorable. I had the tilapia last time I was there, and it was par for the course. And most importantly, NO BEER! Now that a few more places in town have opened, I will continue to pass on the Junkyard Dog.

The wife and I wanted to take a ride on the motorbike down the Natchez Trace Parkway from Nashville. We checked the reviews for places a nice riding distance from town. The reviews about this place were right, this was a nice little place to eat. The food was great and they had a lot to choose from. I had the burger and the fender bunny had some pasta. I particularly liked the warm bread they brought to the table when we sat down. My only complaint is that because the place is popular there were a lot of families with toddlers. You had to put up with the screams every so often. We were there on a Saturday evening. Its probably not as crowded on a weekday. I would definitely recommend it to anyone not looking for a quiet/romantic place.

Can't resist the filet! We have been here several times and I keep telling myself to try something different but the filet is so great I always order it. It is a steakhouse after all. Everything is great from the salad to the bread to the steak including the sides. I have been adventurous enough to try different side items. My favorite side is the sautéed mushrooms. The service is always great. We live about 30 minutes away and sometimes we have to wait awhile for a table. We were celebrating a family birthday on our last visit so I called ahead and they put us on the list. There was a table ready for us when we arrived. This place is definitely worth the drive.

This is our choice for steak house in Hohenwald. They have the best selection and quality of entrees and sides in town, and the most professional staff. And they are a little bit cheaper than their main competition, the River Rat across the street. So better food for less money, unless you want a beer or a band,why go anywhere else in town? They also have a banquet room I have only been in once. The service was a little hectic in there, but that is probably inevitable when you are serving 20 people at once who are not paying attention to you!

A very super cool little town with this super cool restaurant! A very cool decorated place with great food and an interesting place next door called the Junkyard Garage....if you're passing through, you'll be happy you stopped !

What a complete surprise to find a fun atmosphere and wonderful food in this little town. We came to town to visit the Oliver Travel Trailer factory and this was recommended to us. We were very pleasantly surprised by the variety on the menu, the reasonable prices, friendly service and very high quality of food. And who would have thought I'd have one of the best veggie burgers I've ever had in TN?

While visiting family in Hohenwald, we decided to check out this place as there isn't a whole lot of options in the town. Much to our surprise, the food and the service were both very good and the prices were manageable. There isn't a whole lot happening there in the area, so if you're looking for something good to eat, I'd definitely recommend this place.

Fun, casual atmosphere. I had the filet mignon. I highly recommend it. It was fantastic. Three others in my party had the sirloin & were very pleased with it. Fried pickles were just ok. Service was great. I would definitely come back here.
