Went here for the first time today & we will definitely be back. I got a burger & the twisted taters & my boyfriend got the crispy chicken sandwich. My burger was perfect & I am seriously in love with the twisted taters! My boyfriend's sandwich was huge & he said it was delicious.

Had french toast, potatoes, and eggs. Also tried the hot chicken biscuit, country sausage and cherry pie. The place is mediocre to say the least.

Love the decor. Very clean. Some wrote some bad reviews and mostly seems from service not the food, but i had no problems what so ever. For my first visit had to get the hamburger (it looked so good in one yelp pic). It was real good, and the fries are awesome. Going to have to come back and try some of the southern food. I will let you know, but go ahead and try this place, don't think you'll be disappointed and prices are good.

We Went for breakfast and had a great meal. My wife and I typically split our meals so we can try different offerings. Today, they had Apple Cinnamon pancakes. They were excellent! They make thin pancakes, so they aren't too filling. About $4.50 for the special. We also had a western omelette with hash browns and a fluffy biscuit. This was a really nice portion in the $8.00 range. No tipping. The waitress (very friendly) brings your food and checks on you. Coffee refills are at the counter, help yourself. This restaurant is immaculate and clean! Super friendly and great food. I've never had a bad meal here, I doubt you will.

I'm usually a huge fan of Hadleys but when I ate here today I was super disappointed. The food was bland, they gave me a $10 fried chicken salad with old lettuce and tomatoes with burnt fried chicken, gross mashed potatoes, and under seasoned mac n cheese. Normally I come for the giant salads, but today I was greeted with a half portion of rotted lettuce and a pound of cheese. Even the biscuits were hard :(. Hadleys, what happened to you? I gave it 2 stars because it has wifi.

Let me say first that the four times before today that I have eaten at hadleys, I would rate well. Today, however, was the longest I have ever waited for a meal. 51 minutes from printed receipt to table. For simple breakfast food like sausage biscuits and bacon and eggs. Food was not very hot when it got to the table either. Granted, it may have been something like a cook quitting. But they could have walked through the dining room and offered explanations and coffee...or something! At least the food was tasty, as usual.

This a decent place to eat but just does not fit the down home cooking criteria they are looking for in my opinion

FINALLY a good meat and 3! (And so much more!) it's a different kind of set up.. Order at the counter and they give you a number and its brought to you. Food is awesome! The BBQ sandwich was HUUUUGE and the chicken fried steak was delicious. All for $16. It was quick too. We got our food within 15 minutes of walking through the door. Also very spacious and accommodating. They serve fountain sodas but have beer too! Happy to have Hadley's in Hermitage! :)

Most expensive eggs and bacon I ever ate. Both marginal. AND the cheapest institutional bread toast! And no real butter in the place. All for- what was it? $8.50? Have decided to forgo trying it for lunch or dinner based on the crappy bread.

After two mediocre experiences we ate here for a third time, hoping for the best. Unfortunately, the third time was not a charm. The food itself is not bad, but with service this poor even the taste of the best meal you've ever had would be dimmed. After ordering it took 40+ minutes for all of our table of five to get our food. Some plates arrived in 20 minutes, others in 30 and the last at 40. Some were finished eating before the last member of our party received their meal. They weren't even that busy. Similar service issues were experienced on our previous visits, I chalked it up to start up issues. They seem to be understaffed every time I've dined here. Wish them the best, but I probably won't be back.

Great place for breakfast. They have awesome homemade home fries and their bacon is incredible! I usually get the granny's waffle which is so much better than most other breakfast places in town. The format is unique - kind of half cafeteria style, half cafe style. You order and pay at the counter first, then they bring your food to your table. There's a condiment bar in the center where you can help yourself to all kinds of sauces, jams and jellies. Great atmosphere, very "down-home," and super friendly people. And you can't beat their prices! The location is also very convenient with lots of parking available. We love it!

Traditional southern food. The fried catfish was great tasting and their BBQ beans are delicious. Very generous portions, many leftovers! Fast and friendly service with a smile!

This is the best place ever. Very homey, friendly, and the food is amazing! Been a great addition to the Hermitage community and will continue to support! This place has a family atmosphere. Great music!

I have been here 3 times and it was always for breakfast. I always get the steak and eggs and has always been excellent. I love the twisted potatoes and scrambled eggs are hard to mess up. Staff was polite and conversational. Love the choice of sauces on the table in the middle. Will have to try going for dinner.

First time here last week... was really excited to try it out, nice atmosphere, agreed it's like Pucketts, but not quite as warm. You kow how sometimes the staff at a restaurant can be kind of defensive when you ask about something on your plate? yeah, they were that way. Kind of a bummer. The food was ok. Not Great. I got the Pulled Pork Tacos. Kind of bland. I asked for some comeback sauce for them from the runner, and he looked at me like I was from Mars. Southern Kitchen that doesn't have or even know what comeback sauce is. hmmm... Mac and cheese as the side, standard, tasted fine. I tried to give it another try the other day, but walked out without ordering Really, here's the thing, it's overpriced for what you get... there are better values, with better quality I think. They are charging too much for what they are delivering.

This place was so bad from the get go, that I didn't even order food. I attempted to order the shrimp and grits. The menu says that you will receive two sides with the entree. The cashier refused to give me the sides while she claimed that the grits count as a side. I asked her to get the manager, which she did. The manager also claimed that the grits counted as a side even though the menu claims it is an entree with the addition of two side orders. But wait, it gets weirder! We told the manager to forget about it and we walked out. Unbeknownst to us, the manager silently followed as we walked to our car in the parking lot while we talked about how bad Hadley's sucks. Then he pops up as we are about to get in our car and says that he would give us one side but not the advertised two sides. We told him that he needs to correct the false advertising displayed in the restaurant. We went down the street to KFC and saved money while receiving food that was advertised correctly.

My girlfriend and I had breakfast here a couple of weeks ago and it was pretty good. Today, we came expecting lunch to be similarly fulfilling, but it was an absolute horror. She got a shrimp po-boy and there were 5 tiny little pieces of cold shrimp on a rather large piece of bread, with average lettuce and a few slices of disgusting looking tomatoes sitting atop it. She got the greens as a side, and they looked pathetic. I'm not sure how you can mess up greens, but these were ill-flavored and very unappetizing. I had the meatloaf with mac and cheese and the twisted potatoes. The meatloaf is something that you would expect to come out of a cafeteria. It was room temperature and looked as if it had been forgotten on a counter for about 4 hours. The taste was equally bad, and the ketchup that was slopped on top of it couldn't hide the disgusting appearance. The mac and cheese had a sour taste and I couldn't eat more than a couple bites. The twisted potato wafers were good, but on the best day that couldn't have hoped to save this meal. I had thought that Hermitage had welcomed in a much needed quality breakfast and lunch restaurant, but I won't be coming back here. I want to support local businesses, but I don't see this one lasting if they don't get their act together and start producing something besides sub-par cafeteria food. I won't be sad to see it go if it continues down this road.

I've been looking forward to today's Grand Opening, as we really need a good place for Southern food here in Hermitage, so my husband and I decided to try it out at lunch. They've really created a great casual and comfortable atmosphere inside. I love the walls covered with Southern sayings, and the way they've designed the space makes it feel really large and open. You actually order at the counter, are given a number, and they bring your food out to your table. They have a great little bar set up with all the extras you might want (hot sauces, jellies for the biscuits, pickles, etc). My husband and I both tried the dill chicken tenders today, and they were great (nice and crispy, and that dill in the breading is a great touch). We both loved the sides we chose as well. Everyone we interacted with today was very friendly, and the service was really fast and efficient. We were quite impressed and are already looking forward to a second visit to try out some of the other things on the menu, as they have a really large selection and we had a hard time deciding what to try first. They have some excellent looking breakfast and dessert options as well as lighter options on the menu. Glad to have Hadley's in Hermitage!

Good country cooking at a decent price. Service needs work, they also have a lot of wasted space where more seating could go. Some of the prices seem a tad high for what you get. We got the blue plate special of chicken fried steak for 7.99. I must admit it was like home cooking.

Went for breakfast and was not impressed. It was much too greasy for my taste and I love Southern cooking. I would stop at calling it bad, but am not in a hurry to go back.

Great meal. Little mix up on the order but was quickly remedied. I'm really liking this place.

Not impressed. Food not hot or fresh. Brought out my plate with wrong sides and never offered to change after I said something....had to call manager over. The place looks great..but you can't hide your food behind some catchy phrases on the the wall. Bathrooms were very clean, as well as the dining room. One star for food and the other as charity.

Love Hadley's. Their sweet potatoes are great and the green beans taste like Momma's. Had the ham the other day and it was so good. I've been two or three times and have never been disappointed.

The food is mediocre. Nothing was outstanding. The cornbread and dressing was dry. The mac and cheese was better but it was still dry. Overall there was nothing delicious enough to take us back.

I waited a week to go check Hadleys Southern Kitchen. I had biscuits with gravy. And a coffee. It tasted home made, which is a nice difference for a change. Sweet young lady took my order. And nice gentleman brought my plate to me. Answered questions. Then the manager Chris came over sat a the table next to mine. And was very warm and happy to have a resturant that sells good food and to have employed 50 to 60 locals to help the Hermitage/Old Hickory area. I like this place. Chris has had some sour people give him less than the welcome a Southern food restaurant should get. But to each there on. I advise give them a try. You may not know from a couple reviews posted the full story of what a charming place this is. And you do not have to drive out of your way if your a local like I am. I really want to try one or more of the cornbread bowls.

Kind of disappointing, this is my second visit. I think I should try it at breakfast time. Food is a little bland, order was wrong on both visits. If I try it again it will be in the morning, I was really looking forward to a great country cooking restaurant in Hermitage.

This place is alright.... The food is ok not worth what you pay. Has the feel of a Jason's deli crossed with Puckett's. But the food is way better at those places.

For the record I am not a relative or a family friend. The food here is decent but is overrated and overpriced. For my money I can go to the Cracker Barrell and eat as well for a lot less and have all the atmosphere and gift shop that I care to see. Another good place we go is the Habachi Chinese Buffet in a Madison, tn. where 2 adults can have all there care to eat of great food for around $15. and they offer a Senior citizen discount. Hadley's have chosen not to provide a Senior citizen discount nor do they support our country's military either. I wish them luck in there new endeavor but are doubtful that they will survive the test of time.

I've been to this place three times and have had great service and food each time. The sweet tea fried chicken is delicious as was the red velvet cupcakes, twisted taters, mac and cheese, and salmon patties. The atmosphere was great (love all the sayings on the wall) and service was nice. Thanks for a great meal!

Cute new restaurant in Hermitage near Publix, Goody's, and Workout Anytime. What's different about their restaurant is the corn bread bowls. I think they have something neat there. My grandmother loves cornbread and veggies. Sometimes that's all she eats for a meal. Their southern country charm is nice and plays out heavily in the decor, staff attitudes, and food. I had the chili cornbread bowl and a side of mac and cheese. My friend had the gumbo cornbread bowl with a side of spiral potatoes. Everything was ok. It was my first visit. They are a new restaurant. Give them a try.

Went to Hadleys Southern Kitchen for the second time. There are way to many great things to say about this family style restaurant. The biscuits are absolutely incredible and the desserts are heavenly. The reason I love this place so much are all of the choices to pick from. I really hope Hadleys stays around for a very long time because I will be a very loyal customer to it.

I ordered the shrimp and grits and was really disappointed. It was served in a skillet and barely covered the bottom and no flavor. My daughter ordered chicken and fries, the chicken was very greasy. I ordered pimento cheese starter and was served with a handful carrots and crackers in wrappers, good flavor but presentation was horrible. My daughter ordered a vanilla shake that never came until she went up there to remind them and got it to go, however she said it was good. Our bill was $33. Sorry but won't be back.

Bland and unimpressive. I got the turkey with dressing. Since the entrees come with 2 sides, I asked the cashier if the dressing is counted as part of the entree. She said no, I had to order it as a side, so I did. When I got my order, I had turkey on top of stuffing with the extra side of stuffing I didn't need to order. I wasted a side on something I was supposed to get in the first place!! Even worse, it was terrible!! We also tried the deviled eggs. I don't know how you can mess up something as simple as deviled eggs, but they found a way. They were really SWEET. Ugh! Not going back.

Cutesy décor can't overcome lackluster food. They got my wife's order wrong but were prompt to replace with the correct dish. they sell high priced real maple syrup but what I poured on my chicken and waffles ran like watery tea. I've had better grits out of a box than what this supposed southern kitchen swerved up. All condiments are mini packets, including the creamer that was curdled with mold. Got it replaced along with the cheap plastic coffee mug that had lipstick stains on it (at least with sincere apologies). Can spend less than $10 and get a better breakfast at fast food joint.
