So we ended up going here twice while we were in Greeneville - mostly because this location is close to downtown and it's the only restaurant open besides what is in the hotel at General Morgan. The place is like any Mexican restaurant - nothing too fancy but serves up good Mexican food. We had the cheese dip both times and I was very please with the portion size and the taste was delicious. My first time, I order the enchiladas...let's just say I ordered a burrito the second time. For some reason the enchiladas were not that great. The burrito is small - almost the size of an enchiladas and they put a sauce on top - either red, cheese or guac. If we ever go back to Greeneville, TN - I know we will be eating here again.

I don't understand why people rave about this place. The food is average and the service is subpar. It was a busy night but I still could've use some water while I waited. My fajita burrito was pretty standard. The mango peach margarita was good but a little too sweet for my taste. I'd say this place is like any other Mexican restaurant in the area.

Only have been here twice... Seems to be good Mexican food, especially for Greeneville Tennessee. I like tacos de lengua, and they are pretty good here. Friendly staff. I will be back!

Great food, service and an excellent salsa bar. The horchata was great! I'm so glad they had it. Visiting from LA, I'm surprised to find genuine authentic Mexican food this far away from home. :D

Good mexi-food. Inside a bit of a dive. I'm sure this place rocks in the evening with all the college kids. I'll have to go back. All the food I had was delish and was like any other Mexican joint.

Literally tasted like Taco Bell and chef boyardee got together, had a baby, filled up its diaper. Got dropped off on a hot plate then somehow found its way in front of me. Only reason for the 2 stars was the cheap margaritas.

Good food and very quick. Friendly server and a great 27oz margarita.

Clearly a local favorite as they have won several local awards. Good service, average strip mall space, nothing fancy. Portions were fine, prices ok. Salsa was pureed sugary tomatoes and this same sauce was on all our food. It's way way too sweet. Probably won't be back

Really, Greenville, is this the best you can do? I'd rather have Taco Bell. Some business associates and I were taken to Monterrey by some Greenville locals, thinking we'd get as excited as they get when they visit Nashville and talk about getting home to Greenville before Monterrey closes. My fantasy is similarly worded... I can't wait til Monterrey closes. Blandest food North of the Border.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
