Food was delicious. Very surprising considering the atmosphere. We went on a Sunday afternoon and not being familiar with which area to go in or park, i guess we went in the back door and sat in the dining room area. It was too hot to sit outside for me. I had the shrimp and grits. I would get that over and over again; absolutely delicious! My husband had the creamy chicken pasta. The alfredo sauce they made was the best I had ever had. Another person with us had the appetizer pilot house steak as their meal. It was like a small but thick sliced piece of beef on a baguette with melted cheese and teriyaki sauce. That was delicious! A little pricier than i thought it would be but the food was good.

I visited this joint with a friend from out of town who always wears shorts and flip flops, and is therefore hard to take to classy places. It was perfect. We visited on a warm afternoon in May, a light breeze blowing in off the lake in front of a heavy rainstorm. The crowd is eclectic; retired corporate types hanging around the docks and glancing lustily at their boats, rough, tramp-stamped bar maids and bikers, a generally ramshackle appearance. It's the kind of place you could imagine Kenny Chesney or Jimmy Buffet to show up, if somehow they were stuck on Old Hickory Lake and wanted a beer. You're just minutes from bustling, schizophrenic Gallatin, unable to choose between their rural, backward history and the pull of uppity neighbors like Hendersonville. The hostess was a pleasant enough young lady with a distant, doe-in-the-headlights kind of look to her when we said "We'll sit at the bar". There are tables under the tin roof as well as out in the sun. We prefer our calories in liquid form, so we didn't sample the food. The bartender was an affable 20-something guy, and while he was adequate, a place like this should really, really have an attractive female working the bar. She could be just acceptable, in which case, she'd be an even trade off for the guy, or she could be great, which would add substantially to the experience. I'll come back to try the food and see if I find a different bartender, and maybe get a chance to listen to the music. If you like experiences, boats, or off-the-beaten-path kind of places, be sure to try this place out.

Reason for the stars is the atmosphere and casual dining. Great place for a lazy afternoon on Saturday or Sunday for brunch. If you are on Old Hickory Lake or near Hendersonville or Gallatin, this a great spot for a cold beer and good food. We will visit here again soon.

Avocado burger was fair. My personal preference is to have a burger medium well. These are medium rare. Avocado is mixed with strong onion. Also had the Islander bar b que sandwich. More bread than bar b que. it did however have good flavor. You are paying for live music and the lake near by.

Casual atmosphere, nice staff ... But the smell of gasoline was so strong from the marina, I felt kinda sick. My food was average at best.

This is a fun spot to visit when you are ready for a break from the lake and want to grab an umbrella drink or 5. The food is pretty rough though... I really enjoy sitting outside and being close to the bar. They often have a band playing live and the owners are super friendly and helpful. I've eaten a couple items from the menu but just am never impressed. It's typical mediocre bar food I guess and nothing will blow you away. I do wish there was an outdoor section of the restaurant over the water, but I definitely feel like I'm in a different place when sitting on the back patio with a cocktail and that place is lovely!

Awesome little beach-style bar, but on the lake instead. You can come right up on your boat, tie up, then kick back with some drinks and food. Great place to drop into after a day on the lake. Cheese styx were the best I've ever had, def must have. Pastrami bomb was the bomb. Nice breeze came through to top off a great day with friends.

This is the best food I have ever had on the lake the food is cooked the way you like it not the way you don't I would recommend this place to my friends and family. The best part is you can come on your boat witch is very convenient for me I come like once every 3 weeks just don't have that much time to come! You can sit in side or out. It is not the cleanest place but that's ok!

Cool relaxed atmospher. Boats can pull right up and enjoy some pretty good bar food. My wife got a dirty glass of water with junk floating in it, and the staff corrected the problem quickly. My food was pretty good, it is a great place to visit on a warm summer day.

Went there for brunch, via the Gallatin Marina. The brunch menu was limited, so I was skeptical of what I was in for (I love and am picky about breakfast). The options center around eggs. You can get a Benedict, any way you want them, omelet, and maybe one or two other ways. These come with seasoned potatoes, biscuits (w or w/o gravy) / toast, and bacon / sausage. I was pleasantly surprised by how good everything tasted. The serving sizes were more than generous, but that didn't stop me from eating everything on my plate because it was that good. It's not where I'd go when I am wanting lots of choices and variety for breakfast, but it is definitely where I will go when I'm wanting a simple meal! I haven't tried it for lunch or dinner, but look forward to it after how good the breakfast was. (two stars taken off because of the sorely limited brunch menu, and it got pretty hot / cramped inside the building during our meal)

Disclaimer: 4 star rating applies to Cocktail consuming We love to come here for the live music, plentiful outdoor seating, comfortable lakeside location and the booze. They have Fireball chilled, frozen Bushwhackers and serve all liqour in solo cups (size of cup may vary so request the big ones!) The cheese stick appetizer is a must but skip the crab dip. They post their music each night on Facebook and I suggest checking ahead of time. I love that they bring in locals but needless to say, some are better than others. Although theres no perfect view of the lake you still get the marina vibe and we always have a good time. They have cornhole in the yard for the kids and plenty of room for dancing in the grass. This is our favorite summer time spot.

I guess they have a made some changes in the kitchen for this season. I had dinner tonight and everything was great. I can't wait to try brunch soon.

My husband and I read the reviews and were excited to check Awedaddys out but were so disappointed. We ordered the crab dip and butter was swimming on top, no crab detectable and tasted nasty. The waiter was gracious and brought us spinach dip instead and it was runny, Just disgusting! He did offer to take it off our bill and we should have let him but didn't. I felt sorry for him, how embarrassing to be serving either one of these dips. The blackened fish sandwich is suppose to be their best sandwich but that too was lacking. My husband said his bun was wet so he didn't eat that part. The atmosphere is so pleasant but the owners need to be aware of what is coming out of that kitchen.
